Last time on 'Chronomancer's Games', Gill, having learned about a legend called the 'Super Saiyan God' had decided that he wished to battle one, and selected Tomita as his opponent. However, despite the fact that she was the most qualified in Gill's eyes, not even taking Gohan, Goten, or the older Trunks into account, the rookie Saiyan's inexperience showed, as she was no match for him. After promising a battle against a more qualified candidate, Logan and Piccolo had met in a sparring match that proved tricky for the Assassin. And the older Trunks had soundly defeated Kolin in a match that was set up by Gill himself. What's in store for our heroes now? Find out in this chapter of 'Chronomancer's Games'!

Meet Master Roshi and Tienshinhan! Necro Appears!

It was nighttime at Capsule Corp. and Logan, Zeku, Piccolo, Gohan, and Yamcha were meditating. It was a good way for them to calm themselves after the events of the previous day. Naturally, the others could sense that Logan was having a tough time trying to stay calm. Piccolo didn't know why, but Gohan, Yamcha, and Zeku did: It was the thought of having to see Gill and Kolin again. Once Gohan explained it to Piccolo, the Namekian understood. Only Logan and Zeku knew, though, that since Gill was present, his younger brother Urien was around as well.

Piccolo was keeping an eye on Logan, who was still having a tough time keeping calm. Between what happened to Tomita and having to deal with Nash as well, the Assassin was highly irritated. However, so was someone else. "Get some rest already," a voice ordered. They looked and saw an equally irritated Vegeta. "It's obvious that meditating isn't helping you one bit. I can't believe I'm saying this, but if you need help dealing with that blue-and-red jackass, I'll be happy to lend a hand."

"As fun as that would be, Vegeta, Gill has a god complex," Logan explained. "The way he is now, he'll only fight those who have divine energy. He'll reject a challenge from either of us, and Kolin hates the thought of having to fight me, especially now that Trunks defeated her."

"That means that the only one who will fight you is Frankenstein's Monster and he's locked up in one of our holding cells…Unless there's another taker."

"There is." This got the attention of the others present in the room, including Bulma and Videl, who just entered as Logan showed a hologram of a man with tan skin, white hair, and a black suit. "His name is Urien. He's Gill's jealous younger brother who will do anything to usurp him and rule their Secret Society. It's like your Frieza and Cooler that Gohan mentioned, but Frieza's the younger while Cooler is the older. It's the opposite for Gill and Urien."

"It looks like you can take him," said Yamcha.

"Yeah, if he keeps himself calm," Vegeta reminded. "You, of all people, should know never to underestimate your opponents."

"That Saibaman caught me off guard, okay? Next time I see your former lapdog Nappa, it's payback time."

"I like the attitude, Yamcha. So, any takers for Raditz?"

"Leave him to me," said Gohan, catching the older Saiyan's attention. "After all, he's part of the reason I have to fight in the first place. To top that off, he's part of my family, so I feel I have to thank him personally."

"Against Raditz, you won't even have to transform. And what about you, Logan?"

"Easy," said the Assassin. "I'll keep an eye out for Urien. If I run into your past self, I'll happily take him on." Suddenly, they heard someone clear their throat. They looked and finally took notice of Bulma and Videl. "Sorry, Bulma."

"No worries," said the scientist. "Tomita's awake now. She's eating like a Saiyan."

"That's good."

"But Vegeta's right. You do need to rest."

"That's just what I was about to do. Night, guys."

"Night," said everyone except Vegeta and Piccolo. Once he left the room, the conversation continued. "So, do you think Urien is here?" Videl asked.

"If he is, then he's Logan's opponent," answered Zeku, who finally spoke up as they got up off the floor. "We have no right to interfere in that rivalry unless something happens to him. Urien is jealous, power-hungry, and will resort to even dirtier deeds than Gill to get what he wants."

"Unfortunately, this isn't the first case of a megalomaniac and it won't be the last," said Piccolo. "Gohan told you about Frieza and Dr. Gero and you know about Cell, so you at least have a clue as to what we're dealing with here."

"I-I see…"

Logan got to his room, which he shared with Cammy and Chun-Li, got changed into his sleepwear (consisting solely of a pair of pajama pants and a sleeveless shirt), and went to bed. He went right to sleep, dreaming of getting back home with his friends and fixing the dimensions. He knew he needed Gohan and Future Trunks' help with it, but he didn't mind. Right now, he was mentally preparing to deal with Urien when the time came. "Man, talk about a tense conversation," Goku said to him, which woke him up. "Sorry to interrupt, but it sounded like you guys were talking about some tough customers."

"We were," Logan said. "But you know, Goku, it's kind of rude to eavesdrop on your friends like that."

"Sorry. I couldn't help myself. Can I make a suggestion?"

"Shoot."

"There's a small island in the ocean that has a simple cottage called the 'Kame House'. It belongs to one of my teachers. He's an old hermit named Roshi. He taught me, Krillin, and Yamcha a lot of what we know. Get your rest and then seek him out and ask him to help you improve your techniques. You're good, but there's always room for improvement."

"Thanks for the tip. I'll seek him out." With that, Goku let Logan get his sleep, but the Assassin's senses kicked in. He got out a flashlight and looked under his bed. To his shock, there was a bald man with red marks on his shoulders, pale skin, and pupilless yellow eyes. Logan jumped out of his bed, grabbed the man by the neck, opened the window, and threw him outside before jumping out himself, preparing for another fight in Bulma's backyard. Now that Logan had a good look at him, the man had on a pair of violet pants with suspenders, a violet collar with bolts on it, and violet arm braces. "Do you mind telling me what the hell you're doing here?" the Assassin asked.

"That is none of your concern," said the man, speaking with a natural Russian accent. He stretched his arm out to punch Logan, but he caught him on the wrist. The man tried to retract his arm, but Logan didn't let go until he felt enough of a pull. The action sent the man flying backwards into the water. "Okay. I can see you're going to be a tough customer." He got out of the water as Logan charged for him. To Logan's surprise, he emitted electricity from his body. Naturally, Logan was unaffected by it. He wrapped the Assassin up in his elastic body as Logan tried to punch him and tried to shock him again, but he managed to get free and threw him off.

"Weird. He's like a mix between Dhalsim and Blanka." The man dug his fists through the ground, causing Logan to prepare for him to grab his ankles. He then saw his arms rise from the ground, so he looked and saw his hands on a couple of trees. Logan looked and saw the stranger smirk before lifting his feet off the ground, using his arms like a slingshot to kick Logan back into the trees. As Logan recovered, the man stretched his neck, getting his face up to Logan's. He then used his hand to stretch his jaw and stuck his tongue out to taunt him, which freaked him out. Acting on instinct, Logan grabbed some grass and placed it in the stranger's mouth. The man retracted his neck to spit the grass out of his mouth, which allowed Logan to sucker punch him and knock him out. "Okay, that was weird."

A while later, the man woke up in a holding cell with a blonde girl in a studded dress. He saw Logan on the other side of the door, who had his arms crossed. "Grass? Really?" he asked.

"Hey, it was a perfect opportunity," Logan said. "Now, who are you?"

"My name is Iliya, but those bastards at the Secret Society call me Necro. I've been on the run from them for a long time."

"So, you're one of their experiments?"

"That's right."

"That makes sense. So, you're hiding from them?" Necro nodded. "I know I hate asking for your advice, Nash, but what do you think of this?" It was then that Necro looked across the room and saw Nash.

"He'd be a good ally against Bison if he shows up again," said the deceased soldier. "Keep him on a short leash, though."

"For once, we're in agreement. I better tell Bulma and the others about this guy." Logan left and shut the door, being greeted by Bardock. "What are you doing out here?" he asked the Saiyan.

"I'd like to know what you plan on doing with that guy," Bardock answered, obviously talking about Necro.

"He could be an ally, or he might not be. I know one thing though: There is no way in Hell I'm letting Gill know where he's at."

"I see. By the way, I heard you talking earlier. I originally thought that you were talking to yourself, but then I heard Kakarot's Earth name. Were you talking to him earlier?"

"Yeah. He recommended that I look for this cottage called the 'Kame House'. It's on a small island somewhere."

"Why would he recommend a cottage, especially one that's out in the middle of nowhere?"

"If I had to guess," said a voice, which belonged to Bulma. "Goku's having Logan go out there to train with his second teacher. He's a perverted slimeball named Roshi, who has no qualms about seeing a woman undress."

"Goku didn't mention the perverted slimeball part," Logan said.

"Well, I'm not surprised. Goku's too naïve to even know what that means. Still, it might be a good idea. Have you ever ridden a hoverbike?"

"Huh? No, but I've ridden a motorcycle."

"It's the same concept. You'll need the hoverbike to get to Kame House. However, to get that dirty hermit to help you, you'll need a dirty magazine."

"Unfortunately, I don't keep a stash at home."

"I didn't figure you did. That's why I'll help you out. Since your money is no good here, I thought I'd help get the magazine before you headed out. It's inadvisable to bring Tomita, Soifon, Chun-Li, or Cammy, though."

"That's okay," said Logan. "Tomita's still recovering, but all four of them can easily knock him out if he acts up. My main worry is watching out for Gill and hoping he doesn't ambush us. To top that off, I'm still not on speaking terms with Kolin, but if Master Roshi is as big of a pervert as you say, then I'll keep her from meeting him."

"That's a good idea," said Bardock. "Come to think of it, I'd like to meet this 'master' myself. If he taught my son, then he could be of help."

"In due time, Bardock. Anyway, I'm going to hit the hay, hopefully without interruption." With that, Logan went back to his room.

"Now that I think about it," Bulma said. "Maybe Yamcha better go with him to get the magazine."

The next day, Logan, having eaten breakfast and gotten the magazine with Yamcha's help, rode over to the island on a hoverbike that Bulma designed for him. Naturally, he took it for a quick test run and found everything to be in perfect order. He kept just above the water, so he could find the house he was looking for. It helped that Bulma had input the coordinates in the GPS. He then spotted the house he was looking for: A humble pink cottage with the words 'KAME HOUSE' painted on it. "Wow," Logan said. "Goku and Bulma weren't kidding when they said that this place was in the middle of the ocean." He then parked the bike on the beach and put it in capsule mode.

Looking around, he saw an old man sitting in a beach chair while reading a dirty magazine. He had on an orange martial arts top, blue pants, geta sandals, and a pair of sunglasses. The old man was bald and had a Fu Manchu moustache and beard. His only company was a turtle large enough to sit on. "…Hehehe!" he chuckled out. "I never get tired of the classics." He then heard the sound of someone clearing their throat, so he looked and saw Logan. "Oh? Sorry about that. I got zoned in there. So, what can I do for you?"

"Are you Master Roshi?" Logan asked, prompting the old man to get up.

"That's my name, kiddo. I take it that one of my students sent you?"

"That's right. How did you know?"

"Son, I'm over three-hundred years old. There isn't much that gets by me. So, which one sent you? Was it Yamcha?"

"No, it wasn't him. It was…"

"Krillin? The Ox-King? Gohan?"

"Actually, it was Goku. I didn't even know you trained Gohan."

"No, I didn't train Gohan. Goku and Piccolo did. I just brought him up to mess with you. So, it was Goku that sent you, huh? Something big must be going down if he's keeping in contact with Earth."

"He sent me here to sharpen my abilities as a martial artist. Apparently, he saw me fight Piccolo and figured I was still a little rough around the edges."

"Well, I hope he told you that my lessons don't come cheap," said Roshi.

"No, but Yamcha helped me prepare," Logan said, getting the magazine out of his bag. It had a topless blonde woman shown from the shoulders up on the cover. Roshi, having not seen the issue yet, quickly grabbed the magazine and found it to have a centerfold poster of the same girl, who had on short shorts as her only article of clothing as she covered her breasts with her arms. The old man got a nosebleed from the sight. "Yamcha did warn me about that."

"Kid, you gave me an issue that's good for ten training sessions. Before we start, though…"

"We interrupt this program to bring you some breaking news," the radio said. "South City is under attack by a madman of a boxer. We go live at the scene, where he is terrorizing the citizens with no remorse."

"Well, there's an opportunity to assess your skills."

"Not really," Logan said. "I know who this boxer is."

"Do you? Then it sounds like we had better get going." Logan nodded as he got his bike out of capsule mode and hopped on, Master Roshi getting on behind him. He input the coordinates into the GPS and rode them to South City.

In South City, there was terror in the streets, as a single individual was busting up a bank. He even knocked out several well-armed police officers. The dark-skinned thug, who wore a pair of black boxing shorts, red boxing gloves with the skull-and-wings insignia of Shadaloo, black boxing shoes, and a blue-and-yellow robe with the words 'CRAZY BUFFALO' on the back, was none other than Shadaloo's main enforcer Balrog. "I'll warn you one last time!" he exclaimed. "Give me the money and nobody else gets hurt…much!" The tellers, too scared to call in the military, were ready to hand him the money as he demanded.

"Is this what you've reduced yourself down to, Balrog? Robbing banks?" asked a brave and familiar voice. He turned around and saw Logan, who was ready to fight the disgraced champion. "I would have expected more from a former pro."

"I have to survive somehow now that Shadaloo's gone, thanks to you."

"Okay then. How about this: You beat me, and you keep the money. I win, you go to jail…and stay there."

"Sounds like a plan." Both fighters got into their respective stances, as Logan sensed another evil individual nearby. Balrog tried to go for a low sweep, but Logan, to the onlooking Master Roshi's surprise, performed a bicycle kick that hit the boxer in the chin. Popping his neck, Logan sensed the other individual approaching from behind, so he quickly moved out of the way, getting his would-be killer into view. The individual was decked out in purple, including Chinese capris, a changpao with a Chinese symbol for 'To Betray', sleeves that cover his entire arms, including his hands, a wide-brimmed hat, a pair of black circular shades. He even had his hair in a ponytail and wore a thin goatee.

"F.A.N.G. Wasn't expecting you here."

"Yes, well, I figured when fighting you, two heads are better than one, as I much as I can't stand Mr. Balrog here," said the thin man.

"Trust me, the feeling's mutual, you skinny piece of crap," said Balrog, who was ready to go another round. As bored as Logan was of the banter, he knew he had to be careful since he was facing two Shadaloo Kings. The two enemies attacked Logan, causing him to dodge F.A.N.G's strikes and block Balrog's. They kept attacking him straight on until the hatted fighter glided behind the Assassin, who knew what he was up to. F.A.N.G placed a poison geyser between himself and his foe, but Logan parried one of Balrog's punches, grabbed his arm, and shoved him into the cloud, incapacitating him for a bit. This move intrigued Roshi, who figured out that Logan could use his opponents' attacks against them.

Frustrated, F.A.N.G attacked Logan again, who went on the offensive this time. The Assassin attacked the ex-Nguuhao by punching his chest twice and kicking him away before firing a 'Sonic Boom' at him. F.A.N.G got back up and charged for the Assassin again. He tried to knee him into the air to take him with him, but Logan moved out of his way "Shishiruirui!" said the Shadaloo King, who was flapping his arms like a bird and dropping large blobs of poison onto the ground.

"You won't hear the full 10-count!" exclaimed Balrog, who had just recovered. He pumped up a giant fist. "Why don't you go to Hell!" Logan jumped out of the way, causing the former champion to miss. "Stay still dammit!"

"Between you two? No thanks!" Logan exclaimed. F.A.N.G leapt into the air and performed a nosedive at the Assassin, who reacted by grabbing the oncoming arm and slamming him to the ground before knocking the scientist out. Logan then set his sights on Balrog, who was very much angry. Logan fired another 'Sonic Boom' before using his 'Flash Step' to get behind him. The 'Sonic Boom' turned Balrog around as Logan hit him with a cross punch, a flurry of kicks, and a jab before finishing with one of his favorite attacks. "Chidori…SHORYUKEN!" After the lightning dragon cleared, Balrog fell to the ground, knocked out like F.A.N.G.

Master Roshi got off his perch and began to look around and saw that, with the exception of the poison puddles left by F.A.N.G, everything was intact. "Well, that was impressive," said the Turtle Hermit. "You've managed to keep the fight contained, there was no damage aside from what that boxer had already done, and you got out of it without so much as a scratch. That last attack was impressive as well."

"But if Goku sent me to you, then there must be something I need to work on, Master."

"Oh, no doubt about it. You had a few close calls there. Your main advantage was that you knew those two, but that's a double-edged sword because they know you as well. What you need to work on, Logan, is how to keep loose. I hope you know a good massage parlor because you're wound too tight. Vegeta's more relaxed than you right now and that's saying something."

"I know that's the truth, but given how I'm trying to get myself and my friends back into our universe while dealing with enemies old and new, how can I relax?"

"Oh, there are plenty of ways, trust me. I'll be happy to show you a few if you'd like."

"Okay, if you insist." The Assassin followed the hermit to see what he had in mind, but they stopped when Logan sensed a familiar presence.

"So, this is where you were sent off to, huh?" asked an Australian voice that Logan knew all too well. The two men turned around and saw a smiling brunette woman wearing a black catsuit with her cleavage, which is normally showing, covered up on account of knowing about Master Roshi. "Quite the scene you caused, don't you think, Logan?"

"Pearl? I didn't think I'd run into you so soon."

"Well, there's one way to relax," said Master Roshi, who let out a chuckle.

"Pardon me, Master Roshi, but in my world, she's my ex-girlfriend."

"All the more reason for you to hook up with this version."

"Watch it, old man, or I'll take that stick and shove it somewhere where you wouldn't enjoy it!"

"Hoohoo! A lot of fire in her! Forget hooking up. You should stay and marry her." Pearl, who was ticked at the Turtle Hermit's lecherous behavior, turned Master Roshi around and kicked him into a dumpster.

"I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a sexual harassment lawsuit put on him. Anyway, do you mind telling me why you're here and not in your own universe?" As Logan explained the situation, the two of them getting away from Master Roshi upon her request, Pearl realized that Kiryo, Guile, Chun-Li, Soifon, Cammy, and Zeku were there as well, along with Gill, Kolin, and Nash. He even told her about Necro, Blur, Abel, Tomita, Bardock and his crew, and Future Trunks. By the time he got her caught up to speed, she realized what was going on. "I see…I figured it would be funny that you, Balrog, and F.A.N.G would be the only ones here. Makes sense now. Although, if Kiryo and Future Trunks are here, that's a bad sign."

"From what I've gathered, it's never a good sign when Trunks is in the present," Logan said. "It's usually a telltale sign that his time's in danger. And unlike this time, there are no Dragon Balls. The Piccolo of his time was one of the victims of the attacks caused by the Androids 17 and 18 of that time. I was told that he wasn't merged with the Guardian of the Earth, Kami, so there was no replacement. When Piccolo was killed, so was Kami, which means that the Dragon Balls of that time are no good."

"But Goku could've used his 'Instant Transmission' technique to get a new Guardian of that Earth, couldn't he?"

"No." The answer came as a shock to Pearl. "If I had to gather, I'd say that the you that's in that time is about 7, am I right?"

"Right. That means that I haven't synched up with that one yet."

"The Goku of that time died of a heart virus that Trunks saved this time's Goku from. However, this Goku was killed by way of self-sacrifice again."

"Because of Cell. I know." Pearl looked and saw that they were conversing in a sunset. "By the way, do you miss this? Just you and me, talking in a sunset? I know you and I loved it in your world."

"It is peaceful," Logan said before giving her a stern expression. "By the way, don't go getting a crush on me again. I know who you love more."

"Logan…" Pearl began. "Each version of me has a different crush. Because you, your friends, and your enemies aren't from this world, this is technically the first time I've met you. I don't even know Nate yet."

"Well, whatever you do, don't go near Blur. He's an arrogant prick that tried to hit on Android 18. She, Goten, the older Trunks, and I tried to stop him, but it was Gohan that did."

"So, he sees himself as a ladies' man? Sounds like he wishes he was you."

"On another note, are you a secret agent in this universe as well?"

"Part of the time. I'm actually an explorer. I go all over the world to discover new things, meet new people…"

"Explore different cultures."

"Exactly! In fact, I'd like you to join me on my next expedition. It could really help with your training as well."

"You know, that's not a bad idea," said a voice. They turned around and saw Master Roshi with a banana peel on his head and his shirt stained. "Something like an expedition could really strengthen the body and the mind."

"How did you find us?"

"The old-fashioned way. I had no idea Logan here was so good at keeping his energy hidden."

"So long as Gill can't find me, we're in good shape," Logan said. "Although, with Balrog and F.A.N.G here, I'm afraid we might have another problem."

"Now, Logan, we don't know if Bison's here yet. Plus, we still have yet to run into Vega or Sagat."

"I know. But can you blame me for worrying?"

"I guess not."

"I better call Bulma's place and tell them what's going on."

Back at Capsule Corp., the rest of the gang were either training or discussing what was going on. Naturally, they were worried about Logan, some of them because they didn't know what Master Roshi's training was like; some—specifically Gohan, Krillin, and Yamcha—because they knew the training wouldn't be a cakewalk; and some because they figured that the old hermit would be a bad influence on the Assassin. Luckily, Zeku reassured them that Logan wasn't so easily influenced. Bulma noticed that her phone was signaling a video chat, so she put it up on the TV. "Ah, Logan," the scientist greeted with a smile. "Good to see you're still kicking. That old leche hasn't driven you up the wall yet, has he?"

"Nope," the Assassin said. "There was an attack in South City caused by a couple of old enemies of ours, so he decided to use that as a skill analysis for me. I kept them from doing more than what was caused already, but apparently, my nerves are wound a little too tightly."

"Oh no. With an analysis like that, Roshi is bound to set you up with some hussy."

"Who were the enemies, love?" Cammy asked.

"Balrog and F.A.N.G, I'm afraid. It's a good thing Vega wasn't there, or I'd really have to have Master Roshi's help."

"They're really that difficult?" Vegeta asked. "Should we have sent Videl to help? No wait, how about her pathetic father?"

"Joke all you want, Vegeta, but Shadaloo is nothing to sneeze at. I had a tough enough time beating their assailant, much less their boss. Bison is almost on par with Gill and you've seen what the latter did to Tomita. That's only a fraction of his power."

"Then it sounds like Kakarot would want to pick a fight with those two."

"Not Bison. If you recall right, you guys told me that Goku likes to fight with those that have some kind of goodness in their hearts. Bison doesn't have a shred of it, so if he and Goku fight, it's probably because Goku's defending the Earth, not having fun."

"So, this 'Bison' is just as evil as Frieza? Great…"

"I did run into another familiar face, though, a friendly one at that," Logan said. It was at that point, that Cammy and the others took notice of Pearl.

"Well, look who it is!" Chun-Li said with excitement, getting Pearl to wave. "How are you, Pearl?"

"Chun-Li, Cammy, Guile, and Master Zeku!" Pearl exclaimed. "It's good to see you!"

"But what are you doing here? Not that we're not excited to see you."

"I'm an All-Seer, remember? Every dimension, every era, has a version of me. I even have one in Trunks' time, but she's about seven, so I haven't synched with her yet."

"I'll be joining Pearl on an expedition tomorrow," Logan said. "I think it'll do me some good."

"Well, if your nerves don't get unwound, we had better hope that Laura made it," Chun-Li said. "I know she was your best masseuse. Your favorite too."

"We better not explain why, especially not in front of the kids." Chun-Li nodded as they hung up.

"It sounds to me like Logan's filled up a few little black books of his own," Bulma smirked.

"Yep," Chun-Li said with a smile. "By the way, in our world, Pearl and Logan are an ex-couple, so Logan won't try anything funny. That version of her, though, I'm not sure about."

Back at the Kame House, it was nighttime, so Roshi let Pearl and Logan have the upstairs room. Pearl was in her PJs, which consisted of a pair of long pants and a loose, long-sleeved flannel shirt (the latter given to her by Logan). This was to keep Roshi from ogling her. Logan merely wore a pair of long pants, so he was shirtless, inadvertently causing Pearl to admire his form while he was doing pushups. Both of them were barefoot as well. "You know, I've always had a thing for your body," Pearl said, tracing Logan's spine and getting him to blush.

"Why?" Logan asked. "We're exes in my universe, if you recall right. You're with Nate now."

"The me in your universe is. This me isn't. If not for the old pervert, we'd have no need for these clothes. What's wrong with me giving you a compliment, huh?"

"What's wrong with it? It…It feels weird coming from either you or Soifon. I don't hate it, but at the same time, I feel a bit awkward when it's either of you complimenting my appearance."

"Maybe, but at least we're being honest. Plus, you and Soifon finally made up, didn't you?"

"Yeah, we did. However, despite her feelings still being there, we haven't gotten back together. This is mainly due to her and Cammy arguing and her fear of Chun-Li."

"Oh yeah. How could I forget that? I remember going pale the minute Cammy showed me Chun-Li performing her 'Houyokusen' technique."

"Exactly why Soifon would avoid being within fifty feet of Chun-Li if she could help it. Now, we had better get some rest. Don't try anything funny."

"Don't worry, love. The old leche lives here, remember? I'll save it for the expedition." Logan narrowed his eyes before tucking himself into his cot. Pearl put her head on her on her fist as she smiled at Logan before going to sleep herself.

The next day, Logan and Pearl had breakfast cooked by Master Roshi before heading to the spot that Pearl had in mind, which turned out to be the canyon where he had fought Vegeta a while back. Logan, remembering losing control in that fight and the subsequent fight against Gohan, wasn't keen on coming back. This time, Pearl wore a brown tank top and khaki shorts while having her hair in a ponytail, partly because it was her look as an explorer and partly to mess with the Assassin. "I hope you don't mind going on foot," Pearl said. "The Gizard Wasteland, from what I hear, is dangerous for commercial vehicles."

"Yeah, with wheels," Logan said. "Of course, I don't mind the exercise. So, where is this cave you want to explore?"

"It's up there." Logan looked to where the All-Seer was pointing at and saw a cave that they'd have to climb up to. "Not to worry. We're far from the spot where you and Vegeta had your fight, so the treasure should be intact."

"How did you learn about this anyway?"

"I was told about it by a large man with a red mohawk. He wore green armor and had a robotic voice."

"And you asked me to come along because you felt it was a trap, right?"

"Yep. Plus, when I saw you and the old man yesterday, I thought it'd be a good opportunity for us to spend time together. If you'd like, you can light a new flame with a new Pearl."

"You know, you're really tempting me to push you against the wall, maul your breasts, and plow you here."

"Ooh. Threaten me with a good time, why don't you? I can start by pulling the straps down on this shirt and French-kissing you if you'd like."

"Pass. Let's just get up there."

"Alright, but since Laura's not here to help relax your nerves, don't forget that I'm happy to help."

"Thanks." They got started climbing up to the cave with both working up a sweat due to the sun. Logan got to the top first and helped Pearl up. They started to go further into the cave when they heard a noise coming from within that sounded like glass breaking. "That didn't sound good," Logan said. "Let's check it out." Pearl nodded as they went inside, Logan listening for more sounds. Using his hearing, they stumbled onto a couple of Silver Soldiers aiming their rings at a female scientist and a man that matched the description that Pearl gave earlier.

"Silver Lanterns?" Pearl asked. "What's going on? Why are they acting like that?"

"Silver Lanterns they are not!" Logan grabbed both Soldiers by the collar flipped them over to the entrance before firing a 'Chidori Blast' and sending them out. "Stay here," he ordered the victims of the attack. "Leave this to me." The scientist nodded as Logan went back out to fight the two Soldiers, Pearl right behind him. They saw the two along with a third Soldier standing up and ready for a fight. "Doesn't your Emperor know when to give up?" he asked them.

"Funny," one of the Soldiers said. "He said the same about you, Washburn." The fact that the Emperor knew who he was shocked Logan and Pearl, who were ready to fight. "It's three-on-two. You don't stand a chance."

"My descendant and I knocked out five of you guys the other day. I think the odds are still in our favor."

"I agree," Pearl said, getting a bo staff out.

"Is this a private party or can I join in?" asked a voice. Logan and Pearl looked up and saw a man wearing a green gi and matching pants. He had a long scar on his chest, the gi hung only from his left shoulder, and he wore a red belt and a pair of boots. The man was also bald and had a third eye as well.

"Feel free to join in, Mr.…" Logan said, not recognizing the man.

"The name's Tienshinhan, but my friends just call me Tien."

"Good to have you here, Tien. So, how are we going to do this?"

"How about all three of you surrender?" said one of the Soldiers, who was a woman.

"I'll take her," Pearl said. "I know you don't like fighting women."

"I got the big bruiser," Tien said, referring to the largest of the three enemies.

"Then the leader's mine," said Logan, all three of them getting into their fighting stances. As the fastest of everyone present, the Assassin blitzed his opponent at blinding speed, much to the shock of the Soldiers and Tien. Pearl, however, had an excited smile on her face as Logan and the squad leader traded blows. The two had gotten away from the others as they clashed before getting on top of a couple of cliffs, ready to attack each other again. Logan noticed an excited smile on the leader's face, showing that he was enjoying the fight, despite the blitz attack.

Pearl used her staff to fight with the female soldier, who didn't bother matching her opponent like the leader did. The All-Seer, due to her Prime self's knowledge on the Silver Lanterns, had blocked and dodged her blasts to get up close. The Soldier tried to fly into the air, but due to not having met Pearl before, she was caught off guard by the All-Seer kicking her into a cliff. The Soldier tried to attack, but Pearl threw three smoke bombs into the air, tripped her up, and moved out of the way as the smoke bombs landed, clouding the Soldier in smoke. The glowing woman looked around to try to find her foe, but Pearl tripped her up again with her staff and knocked her out.

Tien's opponent, the bruiser surged toward the three-eyed fighter and tried to attack him using brute strength. However, the three-eyed warrior was ready for him. He dodged the big guy and prepared a counterstrike. The large Soldier tried again, but Tien delivered two knee strikes to the man's gut before sending him up into the air. Tien then appeared behind him and sent him further up, repeating the attack two more times. The large Lantern looked up and realized that Tien had split himself into four, each one with his hands in a triangle pattern. "Tri-Beam! HA!" all four exclaimed, a blast firing from their hands. The attack knocked the large man out. The Tiens then merged back into one.

Logan and the squad leader continued to clash, delivering dents into the ground and cliffsides. As they traded punches, Logan struck his opponent in the chest, grabbed him by the collar, spun around multiple times, and threw him against an arch. He ran up said arch to attack the leader again, but he got out of his crater as the Assassin veered close. Logan tried to punch him, but the Soldier dodged and blasted him to the ground. Logan quickly got to his feet and blocked an oncoming punch. He blocked all the punches that the opponent sent to him before catching one, delivering an elbow strike, and hitting his face with a 'Chidori Stream' to knock him out. "Phew! That was a tough one," the Assassin said to himself as he tied his opponent up and took him back.

Tien and Pearl saw Logan approaching with his opponent in ropes. He threw him down with the other two soldiers. "Nice work, you guys," said the Assassin.

"Same to you," Tien said. "You're pretty fast."

"Thanks, but that didn't stop me from eating dirt a few times. You two don't have a scratch on you."

"Well, the old leche did say that you needed to relax," Pearl said. "Let's check on the big guy and the scientist."

"I'd love to, but I have to get back to training," said Tien. "If you see Bulma and the others, tell them I said hi."

"Alright, Tien," Logan said. "Thanks for the help." The three-eyed warrior nodded and flew away. The remaining two fighters went to check on their rescuees. They got back to the lab and saw the large man handing the scientist a cup of cocoa.

"…Thank you, 16," said the scientist. She was a beautiful and curvaceous woman who had on a blue-and-red checkerboard pattern sweater dress, black leggings and boots, and a white lab coat. She had light blue eyes and wild auburn hair. Her glasses were cracked a little, which they learned as she turned around to greet the visitors. "And thank you for rescuing us."

"It's no problem. I hope you're alright."

"I'm okay. I hope you don't mind the mess. I'd repay you if I could, but unfortunately, I don't know how."

"Well, your assistant there told me about some kind of treasure," Pearl said, immediately getting a glare from Logan.

"Pearl, they just endured and attack," said the Assassin, scolding his All-Seer friend. "I don't think treasure is fresh on their minds right now. Sorry. My friend's a treasure hunter who invited me along on this expedition."

"It's okay," said the scientist. "I'll whip us up some snacks. They'll be mighty tasty and sweet like you." The two visitors noticed that she winked at Logan as she said that.

"Methinks she likes you, love," Pearl said, teasing a blushing Logan.

"My apologies for getting you involved," said the giant among them in a robotic tone. "I was not expecting an attack from those beings."

"As long as you guys are safe, it's fine by me," said Logan. "By the way, she addressed you as '16'. You're not Android 16, are you?"

"Yes, but a different model than the one that fought in the Cell Games. I have his memory, but I am not programmed to kill Goku."

"It'd be fruitless anyway unless we can bring Goku back."

"I am aware of Goku's passing. My condolences go to his friends."

"~I have snacks~!" said the scientist, who wheeled in a cart with desserts on it. Naturally, Logan and Pearl were impressed. She presented Logan with a cupcake, which the Assassin ate, much to her delight. "By the way, I never did introduce myself. I'm Android 21, a scientist for the Red Ribbon Army and hopefully the newest addition to your little black book."

"W-Well, I, um…I'm happy to meet you, 21." Seeing the blush on Logan's face, 21 kissed the Assassin on the cheek, deepening the blush. He took a look back at Pearl, who snickered. This gave him a clue that each version of her has a different personality, which explained why this version was interested in him when the version in his world, who was his ex-girlfriend, merely reconciled with him as a friend and pursued a relationship with Nate.

"Say, you look like such an interesting specimen. Would you like to volunteer for a special study tonight? You may find that it'll satisfy both of us."

"What kind of study do you have in mind?"

"Well, naturally, it'll be a stamina test of sorts for both of us. It won't be in the lab, though. It'll just be you and me. No cameras or windows, so no one will be watching. Consider it a proper reward for saving us. Your friend might join in too if she wants."

"He's still a little apprehensive around me," Pearl said, slightly jealous that Logan was more entranced with 21's charms than hers. "My counterpart in his world is his ex-girlfriend."

"That would explain it. Well, until he's more used to you, maybe it can just be the both of us."

"That…sounds good," Logan said, still blushing.

Back at Capsule Corps., Gohan was doing push-ups while Videl sat on his back. Naturally, Erasa and Angela were a bit jealous. They got to know Gohan's friends and family as well, even Bardock. Naturally, due to the scars, headband, and fierce expression on his face, not to mention the fact that he was Gohan's height, they found him even scarier than Vegeta, the irony being that Vegeta was more powerful. "I never really thought of that kind of workout, but I guess it helps," said the older Saiyan.

"The funny thing is, we just thought of it," Gohan said. "9998…9999…10,000." As Videl got off and Gohan got up, he saw Bardock smile with pride. "Come to think of it, Grandpa, out of your entire group, we've only seen you fight. In fact, you fought me."

"You're right. I bet we can find one way to make sure they haven't gotten rusty." The scarred Saiyan looked around and saw a few candidates. "Yamcha! Krillin! Kid Trunks!" This got the attention of the three warriors, so they came to Bardock. "You guys haven't fought since this whole time-space debacle started, have you?"

"Uh, well, not really, but…" Krillin began.

"Good. I'm going to need you guys to make sure my team isn't rusty. They'll be on orders not to kill you."

"Uh, Mr. Bardock?" Videl asked.

"Yeah?"

"You have four in your squad besides yourself. This is only three people."

"Well, these two are the best humans present. You're the only other fighter in this group that hasn't fought anyone since this mess started, but you're not match for a Saiyan yet."

"Well, we know someone who might be," Yamcha said. "He's training right now, but he helped Logan deal with an enemy group."

"And you know this how?"

"We could sense him. His name's Tien, and he trains out in the wilderness."

"Yamcha," Krillin said. "You just said that Tien helped Logan in a fight."

"Is there anyone else in your group? I know Goten helped put the brakes on Blur, so that counts."

"Gohan, how powerful is this Chiaotzu person?" Videl asked.

"Chiaotzu's a psychic, not a physical fighter," Gohan said, getting Bardock to pinch the bridge of his nose. "Sorry, Grandpa. If it makes you feel any better, Tien was able to create a giant pothole by forcing Cell into the ground with his Tri-Beam. He also destroyed Nappa's armor when he was weaker. By then, Nappa had also severed Tien's arm."

"Impressive," Bardock said. "Okay, this Tien person will be the fourth one. Tora! Shugesh! Borgos! Get your asses out here!" At the command, the three came out, Fasha joining them as well. "It's training day, guys. You three are training with Trunks, Yamcha, and Krillin. You are not to kill them, do you got that?"

"Trying to see if we got rusty, eh?" Tora asked. "Okay, I'll take the one with the long hair."

"I'll take the kid," said Shugesh.

"That leaves me with the small fry," said Borgos, who made Krillin nervous due to his size.

"What about me, Bardock?" Fasha asked. "Don't tell me you're putting me against the little girl here."

"Relax," Bardock said. "Videl's not your opponent. Trunks and Shugesh will be here while Yamcha and Krillin take Tora and Borgos to different spots for their battles. Gohan, do you mind taking Fasha to meet her opponent?"

"Sure thing, Grandpa," said the half-Saiyan. Krillin and Yamcha led their opponents to two different directions while Gohan, Videl, and Fasha flew toward Tien's training spot. This left Kid Trunks and Shugesh to get ready for battle, with Bardock, Angela, Erasa, Vegeta, and Future Trunks to watch, the latter ready to interfere on his younger self's behalf should Shugesh cause too much harm. The match would also be observed by Abel, Zeku, Guile, Cammy, Chun-Li, Soifon, and Piccolo. They were ready for an interesting showdown.

CHAPTER 9 END

And so, after Logan faces two old foes and meets Master Roshi, Tien, and Androids 16 and 21 for the first time, Bardock has issued a challenge for his team. As Krillin, Yamcha, and Trunks get ready, will Tien and Fasha be ready for what the other has in store? Stay tuned to find out!

Okay, so I have 21 OOC. At least I've kept Tien and Master Roshi, along with Balrog, true to their character. As F.A.N.G has only appeared in Street Fighter V, it's still hard to nail his character except for the Number 2 obsession. The same goes with Necro since he only appears in the Street Fighter III games. Anyway, see you next chapter.
