Flashback

A 12 years old Santana was trying to do her homework, but the yelling coming from the living room was taking on her concentration. She was tired of her parents fighting all the time. Her dad now was always drunk, he stop being the cool papa. The cool one who would always take her and her little brother to have ice cream without telling their mama. He stop being the dad with the funny jokes, and stop messing around with them. He doesn't even take them to the park or the beach anymore. He stopped building their tree house, and he doesn't even play soccer with her little brother anymore. She missed her father, and she was always mad now, because he just disappear. She was about to cry when her door room opened and her 7 years old brother walked in, holding his stuffed turtle and his hands to her ears.

"Tana... I-I'm scared." He ran to her, jumped to her bed, and curling himself throught her body.

"It's ok, buddy. It's ok." She pushed her stuffs away, and laid with her brother, hugging him.

"It's too loud. Why dad is yelling so much?"

"I don't know, buddy... Don't be scared, it's ok." Little Santana kissed her brother's head, and made a silly face that made him giggled. "I'll protect you. I'm better than Superman."

"Superman is a man, silly." Adam giggled.

"Alright, so I'm better than wonder woman." She showed her tiny muscles, and her brother laughed forgetting about all the yelling outside.

"She's nice. You're the Wonder Woman. She and Superman are best friends."

"Is that so? So, we're best friend, because you're the Superman of the house."

"Yeah, we're best friend, Tana! Can you sing to me?"

"Alright, but you'll have to sleep. It's past our bed time."

"'Kay."

"Close your eyes... " and then little Santana started to sang to her little brother so him could sleep peaceful. She knew this was a mess. She was young, but she knew something was seriously wrong and she starting to hate her father for doing this. All this was his fault. What was his problem? Could he just be the good dad like before? Why was him being so mean all the time to her mama? Why? She just couldn't wait for the day she will leave this house. Maybe, she could take her brother with her, and her mama. Yeah! She'll grow up, have money and take they all away from this mean dad. She'll protect them all. At least, that was what she thought at age 12. She thought she would save them all.

End

"Hello?" Whoa... that voice. She missed that voice so much. She never thought this day would come, but here she was, calling home after so long. Was this a good idea? She should say something. Her mom will hang up if she didn't say anything. "Hello? Who's it?" C'mon Santana, you can do this.

"Mom..." Santana whispered and then, Maribel got silence. Did she passed out? No, Santana didn't heard anything other than her mom's crazy breathing.

"S-Santana? Is that really y-you?" Her mama's voice was so small. Santana could feel her heart tight! God! She missed her family so damn much.

"Yes, it's me, mama."

"Oh my god! Santana!" And then her mom started crying on the phone, making Santana cried too. "Oh my baby, I can't believe it's really you. I miss you so much, mija. Oh Santana! You have no idea how happy I'm right now. My heart is about to explode." Maribel chuckled and cried at the same time and Santana could felt the exciting in her voice.

"I miss you too, mama. So much, I'm so sorry I took so long to call you... I -"

"It's ok, mi amor, I mean, oh... what," Santana could heard another person's voice close to her mom and frowned. "It's Santana, yeah! Mija?"

"Yeah? Is that dad?"

"Oh no, it's your brother."

"What? No way! How's he?"

"Wait, Adam, no, it's my turn." Santana laughed hearing her brother and mother arguing over the phone. "Sweet, he's asking to FaceTime. I really need to learn how to use this damn phone." Santana didn't know why she was so scared to talk to them. Her family was always amazing, and make her laugh all the time.

"Mama, we can FaceTime. I'll call you again, one second." She hanged up, and soon was calling them again, FaceTime this time, and when they saw each other's faces their all started cried again. She couldn't believe how handsome her brother was. He was so grow up. Probably taller than her. Damn! The Lopez clan was hot. And her mom... dude, she doesn't even look like a mom of an almost 25 years old woman.

"Damn! We look hot!" Her brother said making them laughed.

"I know right? I was thinking the same thing."

"Oh please, my babies look just like me."

"Im not so sure about that." Oh! And that was her dad. Carlos Lopez. He's a tall man, with dark hair and brown skin, Santana was just a female version of her dad, and he doesn't look like the father she remember before move out. He looks tired, like sick tired and that worried Santana. "Hello, Santana." He smiled.

"Hey dad... I-" she didn't know exactly what to say to him. I mean, it was he's fault she left. It was because of him, but did she still hold this grudge about him? Seeing his face after so long... She didn't know how to feel.

"It's ok, mariposa... you don't have to say anything. If anyone has to say something it's me." Her father sat besides her mom and she could saw they were all in the kitchen. "I'm sorry for the way I treated you that time. After you left a lot of things changed. It took a few days to see it, but I saw... I saw everything that I did, and I'm so sorry. I-"

"He really changed. We tried to search you, we called Brittany a few times, but it wasn't easy to found you." The sad look on her mother's eyes was enough for Santana to break down.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry..."

"Oh mijá, no... Don't cry, sweet. It's ok. You're back now and we're so happy." Her mother was crying, but different of Santana, that was happy tears.

"You don't have to apologize, mariposa. It was my fault... I broke this family for so long, however, I changed and I want you to give me this chance..."

"Papi... I- I was so angry at you and mami when I left. I thought that ignoring that problem would be good for me, but something was always missing. I'm sorry I didn't call thought the years. I love you guys so much!"

"We love you too, mariposa."

"Stop crying, you weirdo! We get, you're an idiot!" Her brother joked making their laughed again and lighting the conversation.

"What the hell, Adam? We're having a moment here. Jesus!" Her father rolled his eyes, and damn! Santana forgot how much they look alike. She was just like him!

"Sorry, papa! But yeah yeah, we get it. We all make mistakes, and we're family, we forgive each other. Sooooo... how's life, sis?"

"Well, life is good..." she looked to her bedroom, and back to them, smiling. "I'm an announcer at a radio station, pretty famous tho'... "

"Damn! Really? I have a famous sister... I mean, at least your voice is famous." Adam joke.

"That's amazing, mija."

"Thank you, guys. I got married... and.-"

"WHAT? Oh please tell me I have a grandkid." Her father said, crossed his finger in front of the phone, and Santana laughed. "One of my children needs to give me a grandchildren. Adam is too lazy for that."

"Hey! I do get in action a lot."

"Son... please, this is something we don't need to know. Go on, mariposa... let's ignore your brother." Santana was laughing at her father, he always made fun of them.

"Well, papa, you do have a granddaughter, actually. Her name is Elizabeth, she's 4. She's sleeping now, tomorrow we're going to the beach and she got a bit excited and sick."

"Oh poor baby, she's not really sick, mija. Just excited."

"Yeah, this happen sometimes when she's too anxious. But I'm sure she'll be ok tomorrow morning."

"If you have a daughter, it means you got married?" Her mother asked and Santana could see a bit of sadness in her eyes.

"Mm... yeah, I got married, it was something simple, just us and our friends. But then shit happened, and we got divorce, but now, good things happened and we're dating again." Santana crossed her legs on the couch, and looked to her bedroom.

"The fuck? What kind of shit happened?" Her father, always so kinda with words.

"Well, long story short, we got into a car accident a few months ago, and it affect her memories. She spent two weeks in a coma and when she woke up, she didn't remember any of us. Her family and friends... that made us get divorce, we live in different house now, but... we're working on it now. I made her fell for me again. And now, she's my girlfriend."

"What? Oh my god, mija..."

"What about you? Were you ok?" Her parents asked, both worried.

"She took of her seat belt, I was ok, but she literally flew through the window."

"Shit sis, I'm sorry about that. I'm glad everything is working now."

"Thank you. It was pretty hard for us, me and Beth, but I'm sure it was hard for her too. I tried to be support and be patient. I just want to be there for her, you know?"

"You did good. Been there, supporting her, that was the right thing to do." Her father smiled.

"I'm sorry I took so long to called you guys. I-I want you to be part of Beth's life... My life. I want..." Again, Santana had tears in her eyes, and she took a deep breathe. "I'm so sorry..."

"Hey, you're here now. We're all here now, this is all that matters, baby girl." Her father said.

"Yeah, I'm glad you called. I still have time to be the cool Uncle."

"She will love you guys. I want them to meet you. Maybe one day we could go there... or you guys could spend some days here with us and-" Maribel and Carlos looked at each other and Santana could see something wasn't right. "What?"

"We'd love to go, I just can't travel for a few months." Her dad said. "I got sick, mija. I just got a transplant and I need to stay home probably for a few months..."

"What? A transplant? Why? Is that the reason you're lookin like a zumbi right now?" Adam laughed, agreeing with his sister.

"Thanks, but yeah, that's the reason, I got a liver's transplant, for obvious reason, however I'm good. I'm feeling better everyday."

"Who was the donor?" She felt guilt. Find out her own dad could be needing her, and she was been to stubborned to help, to be there for him... Maybe she could have help.

"Me." Adam said "and I know what you're thinking, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be useful." His brother smirked and they laughed. It was good be so careful with them.

"I'm sorry, papa."

"It's fine. I love you, mariposa... you're my first born, and the first one to turned me a grandfather, I'm proud of you."

"I'm your favorite too, let's not forget this part."

"Jesus, thanks, dad."

"The day you leave my house, you'll make me proud, Adam."

"What? You still live with them? Dude!"

"I don't live here anymore. I'm spending some time here, because a pipe exploded at my place, and I can't be there right now. Im doing some change too... "

"He's helping me a lot with your father, so, I'm not complaining."

"I am." Her dad said. But before one of them could say anything, Beth's door's bedroom opened and the little one showed up holding her lamb.

"Mama..." she walked toward her mama on the couch, and climbed on her mama's legs.

"Is that her!? Of course it's her." Maribel excited voice, made Beth looked at her mama's phone looking at the three strange people.

"Hey bee," Santana helped her get comfortable in her lap, with her little back against her mama's chest. "What's wrong?"

"My tummy hurt, I think there's too many butterflies in it." Beth said and her grandparents laughed, they were in own with the little girl. "Who are you?" Beth pointed to the screen.

"She's beautiful." Carlos smiled, staring at Beth.

"Well, bee, these are mama's parents. My mom Maribel, my papa Carlos and that weirdo over there is my brother Adam."

"Really?"

"Hello Beth, it's a pleasure to meet you." Carlos said.

"They're your grandparents, bee."

"I have two nanas and two grandpas." Beth said excited taking her mama's phone.

"And an awesome uncle! Hey yo short bee."

"Mama calls me bee all the time. I have an aunt Frannie. She's mommy's sister. Look..." Beth showed them her lamb. "This is my lamb."

"She's really pretty. How old are you, Beth?" Maribel asked. Showing interesting in her grandbaby's life. They felt in love the moment they saw her.

"I'm this many." She showed her 4 fingers. "I'm 4, and I look like a fairy. Don't you think?" The four adults laughed at how cute and innocence Beth was.

"Nah! I think you look like a princess.. Maybe Sleeping beauty." Carlos said.

"Oh! I love Aurora, papaw!" Well, now he didn't know what to say, he was thrilled. He's a grandpa.

"Abuela And Abuelo." Santana said. "It's means grandpa e grandma in Spanish."

"Really?"

"Yep, sure it is." Adam said "and its the coolest."

"I'm going to the beach tomorrow, abuela... but just me and mama. Mommy can't go with us, because she has to work."

"I'm sorry to hear that, sweet. But you know what? We live close to beach, maybe one day you and your mommies can come to visit. Spend as many day as you want with us."

"Yes! Can you go mama?" Beth turned to her mama, and Santana smiled.

"Of course, bee. We'll make plans and go visit them. I miss them a lot." Santana looked to her phone, to her parents.

"We miss you too, mija."

"Come here and I'll teach you how to surf." Adam said, and Santana lift her eyebrows.

"Excuse me?"

"Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you, I teach surf. I have a store with clothes and all the things you need to surf. Boards and all that. It's pretty cool. I love to teach the kids, specially."

"That's great, Adam."

"Can I learn it? I want surf with uncle Adam."

"Man, I'll never get tired of her this little cute calling me uncle."

"I know right? This is amazing!" Carlos chuckled. And Beth laid her head on her mama's chest, looking tired.

"Ok family. I need to put this one back to bed, tomorrow you'll be a long day." Santana smiled to her family. "I miss you guys so much, and I'll be sure to take Beth and Quinn there for you guys to meet them. And please, papa, save my number on your phone."

"He's going to send you a lot of meme. That's what he does now. He's cool." Adam joked.

"I don't have much to do, children. Those memes just show up in my face." Santana and Adam laughed, while Maribel just shaked her head.

"Go to sleep, Mija. And you too, Beth."

"Good night, abuela, papaw, and uncle 'Dam."

"Oh man, have a good night, short one."

"Good night, familia, I love you so much."

"We love you too, mariposa. Go take Beth to bed, she's tired. Have fun at the beach, princess."

"Thank you, papaw. Nigh night." Beth blowed a kiss to them, making their heart melt even more. They all said goodnight and Santana turned off the phone, taking Beth to her room.

She couldn't believe what just happened. She finally talked to her family, and they were great. Her mom looked beautiful, tired, maybe because she needed to take care of her father, but she looked good and Heath, and happy. Her father, that man who she once thought would be dead by now or maybe lost somewhere, he wasn't the alcoholic father from the time she left, no, he was the father she remember, the funny, love, and amazing father he once was before everything blowed up. And her little brother. Damn! He was a man! And she was really proud of him. She was so glad they were all happy to see her and didn't hold a grudge to her. They forgive her, and she was so happy. That was easy and she couldn't stop smiling, she even sang to Beth that night and when she got back to her room, she kept smiling until she felt sleep by Quinn, whoa... she can't wait to tell Quinn the news and to definitely call her family again. There's so much they need to talk yet. She can't wait to bound with them again.

"Good morning." Quinn walked toward Santana on the kitchen, feeling like shit. "God! I couldn't remember the last time I drank like that."

"Morning, gorgeous." Santana chuckled, kissing Quinn quick on the lips. "I made something for you. Wine hangover is the worse." Santana handed Quinn a cup with a green thing on it.

"What is this?" The blonde sat on the chair.

"Just drink it. It'll be good. You'll feel good in a few minutes." Santana grabbed her coffee, sitting in front of her girlfriend. "I did something last night... something that made me feel really good."

"Yeah?" Quinn took a sip of the green thing, making a face. "Oh god!"

"Drink it. I called my parents last night."

"I love you too. Is everything ready for the beach? Is Beth still sleeping?" Quinn took another sip, without making a face.

"Morning..." a small voice said behind them, and Quinn turned to see her little one rubbing her eyes, with a messy crazy hair walking toward her. "Hi, mommy."

"Hello my little one. What a hair this morning, huh?" Quinn picked Beth up, and the little girl laid her head at her mommy's chest.

"Are you feeling ok, bee?"

"Mhm. My tummy doesn't hurt no more."

"Anymore. And that's good, bee."

"Mommy... guess what?" Beth turned to Quinn, playing with her necklace.

"What?"

"I met abuela and papaw last night. They're mama's parents."

Santana chuckled, and couldn't stop smiling at how excited Beth looked.

"Really?"

"Yeah, and I have a uncle! It's mama's brother, he's so funny, he said I can go surf with him! Can I go mommy? Can I"

"You have a uncle? That's awesome, bug! And surf? Let's think about that, ok? I don't know how I feel about that yet." Quinn chuckled, kissing Beth's head.

"OK bee, eat your breakfast, and then we'll change so we can go to the beach."

"I wish mommy would come with us." Beth pouted, and Quinn kissed that cute pout of hers, squeezing Beth in her arms.

"I'm sorry, bug, mommy has to work, but I'll see you in three days."

"I'll take our things to my car."

"Alright, say bye to mommy." Beth pouted, hugging Quinn.

"Bye bye mommy. I'll miss you."

"I love you, bug. Have fun with mama, and I'll call you tonight."

"I love you too, mommy."

Beth walked to Santana's car, sitting in her car seat. Santana approached Quinn, wrapping her arms around the blonde waist.

"Beth is not the only one who is going to miss you." Santana whispered, as Quinn wrapped her arms around her neck.

"I'm going to miss you too, baby." Quinn kissed Santana, hugging her. "Have fun, and be careful to not burn that perfect ass of yours." The blonde giggled, and Santana kissed her neck, hugging her tight.

"Oh don't worry. I'll take care of this hot body."

"I love you too, pretty girl. And don't worry, I'll take care of her. And please, next one, you're coming with us."

"Next time, we're coming to your parents."

"Are you sure? Baby..."

"I'm sure." Quinn gave her a quick kiss, before they separated as Santana walked to her car. "I'll see you in three days."

"I love you."

"I love you, mommy!"

"I love you, my girls."

xxxxx

"Mama, can I have ice cream now?"

"Sure! Let's get some ice cream for us." Santana and Beth was having a good day at the beach. They just got out of the water, and they were started to get hungry. Santana knew she should give Beth something health, but for know, ice cream first, then she would take her little one to get food.

"Mommy is going to call later?" Beth was trying to put her shirt over her head, as Santana started to put their things together so they could go eat.

"Yeah. She'll call you later. Let's go get some ice cream, then we get back to our hotel room to eat some real food."

"Can I talk to papaw and abuela too? Did you send my photo with that seashell?"

"Yeah, they will try to call us later too."

"Cool!"

Xxxxx

"Hey, Quinnie. We are here to make you happy, since your girls are having fun at the beach." Brittany, Rachel and Puck showed up at the Cafe. Hugging Quinn, and sitting on her section.

"Hey guys, I'm glad you're here. I'm feeling a little... Sad."

"That's why we're here, Quinn." Rachel smiled.

"Did they called you?" Puck asked.

"No, not yet, but Santana sent me a bunch of pictures of Beth. She's so adorable."

"Aw, she's a doll." Rachel said, opened the menu. "We thought it'd be a good idea to have lunch here and make you company a bit."

"Thanks, guys. So, what can I get you?"

Xxxxx

"No, mama. I don't want to." Beth was crying and been a little stubborned that night. They spent the whole day at the beach. After they lunch at the hotel, they got back to build a sand castle and Beth didn't have her nap that noon, so now, time to take a bath, eat and sleep, the little one was extremely tired 4 years old, was having a tantrum because she was too tired to take a bath. Santana regretted now for not let Beth take that nap hours ago.

"Beth, it's bath, eat and mommy will call you, and then we'll go to bed. We really need to take all the sand and salt of you, bee."

"Noooo..." Beth throw herself at the bed, crying harder,.

"Elizabeth!" Santana was clearly loosing her patient here. She was tired too, she didn't want to give Beth a spank. She didn't have strength for that. "C'mon. Let's go, I'll take a shower with you."

Santana approached her daughter, picked her up, and walking with a crying Beth to the bathroom for them to take a quick shower and put the little one to sleep.

As soon they got out of the shower, Santana's phone rang, and the Latina wrapped them at a towel, she pick Beth up, and the little one laid her head on her mama's shoulder already falling sleeping.

She was still wrapped in her white towel, and help a sleepy Beth wear her pink underwear and a t-shirt. It was really hot, and the little one was already sweating.

"We miss you too. I'm sure I could have some mama and tequila time while you take Beth to swim."

"You didn't tell me everything about your call to your parents."

"Oh yeah! It was amazing, baby..."

They spent a few hours talking about Santana's parents and her day on the beach with Beth.
