Bonds of Animals Pilot Chapter
Author's Notes: A Boris the animal/OC pairing, this little plot bunny snuck it's way in my head when I watch MIB 3 on DVD for the first time.
Just like Spiderman: A Brother's Guardian Angel Pilot Chapter and Star Wars Episode VI: Path of Fates Pilot Chapter, you are free to use these ideas for your fanfic or rewrite them.
Scene 1: Boris the Animal is being plague, by nightmares of his entire species going extincted.
Wrapping her arms around Boris, She could feel every muscle in his body tense. She saw something, a trail of tears, dripping from his goggle covered eyes. Listening to what he had to say in his sleep.
"My fallen comrades, please forgive me for not saving all of you from a fate worst than death, because of my mistakes it cost me my entire species."
A thought popped into Moonfox's head, finding a way to soothe the lonely Boglodite of his sorrow. Scootting herself a couple of inches, down one of the old warehouse walls, still holding him in her arms, she began to sing a few lyrics to a song.
You're never gonna be alone
From this moment on, if you ever feel like letting go I won't let you fall
You're never gonna be alone
I'll hold you 'til the hurt is gone
Now, as long as I can, I'm holding on with both hands
'Cause forever I believe that there's nothing I could need but you
If I haven't yet, I've gotta let you know
You're never gonna be alone
From this moment on, if you ever feel like letting go
I won't let you fall
When all hope is gone, I know that you can carry on
We're gonna see the world out
I'll hold you 'til the hurt is gone
You've gotta live every single day
Like it's the only one, what if tomorrow never comes?
Don't let it slip away
Could be our only one, you know it's only just begun
Every single day
Maybe our only one, what if tomorrow never comes?
Tomorrow never comes
You're never gonna be alone
From this moment on, if you ever feel like letting go I won't let you fall
When all hope is gone, I know that you can carry on
We're gonna see the world out
I'll hold you 'til the hurt is gone
I'm gonna be there always I won't be missing one more day
She felt him beginning to stir from his slumber, only to looked at her half awake.
"Moonfox, thank you."
A warm smile greeted him. "What are friends for."
After snuggling into her chest, dozing off again.
Moonfox swore a promise, a promise, she hopes to keep this day forward, "You don't have to be alone, anymore Boris. I'll keep you save, as long as you let me."
The arm she used to cradled him, that hand began to stroke his long brown hair.
Scene 2 Boris and Moonfox discuss about their true forms.
"Boris, do you ever wonder why we never show our true forms out in public?"
Boris remained silent, allowing her to continue speaking. "Its because, people are afraid of something, that they don't quite understand."
Scene 3: Moonfox's inner darkness takes control of her body.
"Hmm... Boglodite meat, I wonder what it taste like? I hope its delicious."
"Who are you and what have you done with Moonfox?" snarled Boris.
"You're looking at her."
"Huh!" he said confuse about what was going on.
"The Moonfox you know, who perfers to be called Phoenix..." she pause, pointing a claw-like talon to her head. "Is locked inside our mind."
Scene 4: Inside Phoenix/Moonfox's mind.
Phoenix kneels in the darkness, head lowered, eyes half close.
"Boris, I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me."
She could have sworn she heard footsteps, approaching her direction, but chose to ignore them. That is until she felt a hand cupping her chin, lifting it up to meet their gaze.
Phoenix was shocked to see who it was.
"Boris?" he knelt down on one knee in front of her.
"What are you doing here?" she asked him.
Scene 5: Boris decides to launch a palm spike into Phoenix's body.
Boris had his hand hovering over Phoenix's chest, preparing to launch a palm spike to her heart which hung a few inches above her kidney on the same side. As he begins to fire, an outside force stops him.
He knew who it was. "Darn it, Phoenix."
What's happening to me, he thought to himself. Back in his younger days, he killed anyone that got in his way, without hesitation. In order to secure his species' survival.
But now...
Was he going soft? Was it because of him getting older, or could it be his human form. Whatever the case may be.
What is that feeling, where two people meet for the first time? Was it love? How is that possible, emotions were foreign to us. We were after all a predatory bunch that devour planets, til there was nothing left of them.
Yet, this being laying on the floor was stirring, something inside of him.
Scene 6: When Boris is reunited with his pet Weasel, the one that resides in his right arm.
Boris silently walked out of his old hangout, looking for a comfortable spot to leaned, his back on, while his mate was recovering.
He wrapped his left arm around his torso, while stretchig the other, flexing his fingers and tightening them into a fist, admiring her work.
He brought his hand mere inches from his face, letting out a couple of snarls and growls as the patch of skin began to open
A ghost of a smile painted his lips when he saw his pet crawling up his arm, the spiny crab rested on top of his master's shoulder, nuzzling against his neck. Boris purred, stroking one of his pet's legs, "Its good to have you back, I've missed you." he murmurs lovngly.
The Weasel clicked a few times, "I missed you too, master."
He suddenly heard screeching coming from his other Weasel.
"Whoa boy, what's wrong?" asked Boris as he tried to calm him down, trying to figure out what was causing his pet to go on a panicked frenzy.
Following the spiny crab back into the warehouse, the other one clung onto his master's shoulder tightly.
As soon as Boris walks in the doorway, he saw that Phoenix was nowhere to be seen, all that was there was a bloodstained floor from earlier and a pile of palm spikes neatly stack.
Boris picks one up noticing that it was clean of the red substance, then laying it back down on the concrete floor, he repeated the process, as soon as he was done he noticed that one of his prime use of a weapon was missing.
Letting his Weasels, which during all of this one of them had climb down his master's right arm. Gathering all of the remaining palm spikes back into their mouths.
After they were finish with their task, they left their master deep in his thoughts. As they playfully interact with one another, they haven't seen each other in such a long time, not since his brother was taken from him. When the arm he resided in was shot off, by a MIB agent saw their master as nothing more as a dangerous assassin, who was a threat to anyone around him and had to be put down.
Boris had a million questions racing through his mind. Why would Phoenix keep one of my palm spikes for? How did she managed to pull them out without alarming me or my pet? Should I go after her? Was she that mad at me, that she left without saying goodbye? If so why would she walk out on what they just went through?
Even though, he never experience blood loss himself, he knew that someone in that condition shouldn't be up and walking around. I hope she's okay.
"Do you know where she went to?"
The Weasel that came out of the warehouse, screeching earlier, shook its head, "Sorry Master, I don't."
Scene 7: Phoenix is out in the middle of the woods, when she is visited by her beloved viceroy.
Out in the woods, outside the city of New York, Phoenix is carving a piece of wood, that she cut from one of the trees, surrounding the area with her scrimtar. When she is interrupted by a sound of someone stepping on a twig.
She goes back to what she was doing, obviously ignoring it. Until she hears it again.
"Who's there," snarled Phoenix, she didn't like her peace being disturbed.
A spirit of a Neimoidian approaches her direction, wearing bluish purple robes, a lone scar and a hole where his heart should be, decorated his chest.
Phoenix knew who this was.
"Gunray... Is that you, my beloved viceroy?"
A smile tugged his lips. "Phoenix, you know I no longer go by that title anymore, right?"
A smile tugged at her lips, as well. "I do, but you're still my viceroy."
Phoenix rubbed the back of her neck, even though he could read her mind, she had to ask him.
"Gunray... you don't mind me, taking a new mate, do you?"
He sighed, "Even though, I'm not thrill with the idea, I understand, I don't blame you for moving on."
Before he had a chance to leave this plane of existence, Phoenix called out his name one last time, getting his attention.
"Gunray, when my time does come will you wait for me on the other side."
"You know, I will."
His spirit glowed til it dispate into specks of light, disappearing one by one. Leaving her to what she was doing.
After a couple of minutes have passed, she was please with the end result, when she was done with her business, she stops to see a piece of fibrac, laying on the ground, picking it up, she realizes that it came from her beloved viceroy's robes. Phoenix wraps it around her neck, placing both her hands on it.
Releasing a sigh, muttering to the darkness, "I love you, Gunray. Always have, always will."
She begins to walk away from the woods.
Scene 8: Phoenix surprises Boris with a picnic basket
Boris knelt down on one knee. "What's wrong, girl?" he said after hearing whimpers from his new mate's werefox form. "You're afraid that your inner darkness taking control of your body again, aren't you?"
Phoenix nodded her head.
"You don't have to worry about that anymore, you're free."
A smile appeared on her face as her eyes held a mischievous gleam to them
"Phoenix, why are you looking at me like that for?" he said in a confused tone in his voice.
All of the sudden, she started to run at him, "oof" he said after being knocked to the ground, he felt saliva dripping on his face, as Phoenix opened her maw to lick him, during this she heard laughter bellowing from his throat.
"Stop, stop!" He said pushing her head away, "Someone's seems to be in a playful mood."
"What'cha got there, girl." he said eyeing a picnic basket behind her, sitting on the floor.
Scene 9: Boris is about to get on top of Phoenix's back when he touches one of her wings.
Boris felt a tinge of regret when he touch one of Phoenix's wings, he hops off her back
Boris, what's wrong? He was taken aback a little when he heard Phoenix's voice in his head, he didn't know she had the ability to transfer her thoughts into his. Her werefox form turned her body around to face him, her eyes full of concern.
Its nothing. It felt strange to him.
It doesn't seem like nothing, Boris there's something bothering you, I would like to know what it is that's troubling you. We are after all mates, aren't we?
I'm sorry.
For what?
For hurting you, I shouldn't have done that.
Boris... She walked over to him, only stopping a few inches from where he stood. She uses her tail to lift herself a foot of the ground, getting to his eye level. A paw reaching his shoulder, a comforting smile painted her lips, this time her her reptilian fox eyes were closed, he placed his hand on top of hers.
If you hadn't have fire those palm spikes, I wouldn't have been the same.
Speaking of which, how did you manage to pulled them out?
If you must know, they hurt like the dickens coming out.
Phoenix climbs off of him. Placing all four of her paws back on the concrete floor.
Boris did the same on top of her, swiveling himself, being careful not to fall off, to face the back of her head.
Before we head out to the outside world, I have to ask you something.
What is it?
Are you afraid of heights?
Are you kidding me? i've fallen off higher places than where we're going.
Grabbing the picnic basket with her tail, Phoenix took off in a blinding speed, leaving a trail of dust in her wake. Heading through the door of the old warehouse.
"Whoa!" taking him by surprise, Boris hung onto Phoenix's neck for dear life.
Final Scene: Phoenix decides to give her new mate; Boris a gift to help him take his mind off things.
"You miss your homeworld, don't you."
"I do Phoenix, but there's no way I could go back. Even if I wanted to." Boris replied, as he sat up, placing a hand on the building outside of the city limits of New York. Wrapping his arm around his waist, one of his legs underneath the other, looking up at the stars longingly.
"How come?" she said puzzled, turned her head a little to the right, looking up at him.
He sighed, before he spoke again. "Boglodosia's probably an uninhabitant lava planet by now."
It fell silent for a while. until, an idea popped in her head. "Hey Boris, do you mind if I give you something."
Boris shook his head. "I wouldn't mind one bit,"
She sat up, reaching into the front side of the picnic basket, retrieving an item, wrapped in light purple tissue paper tied in a single knot. He took it from her hand.
Tearing the knot, the tissue fell in his hand still clutching the present, revealing a wood carving of his pet Weasel.
Bringing it close to his face to inspecte it. He noticed that its wooden legs were glistening in the lights of New York.
Boris turned his head slowly to looked at Phoenix's locket, expecting to see a few nugggets missing from the wire around her neck.
Wait a minute, if the crystals didn't come from her locket, then where exactly did they come from. He thought to himself
"Thank you my dear. I appreciate it."
"That's not the half of it."
"Huh?" he said confused.
She put her hand on top of the wooden sculpture, giving it some of her spiritual energy.
Boris' ears perked up as he heard the voices of his entire race.
From here on in. he knew that they were always with him.
