Hey Everyone! So glad so many of you like this story so far. It seems that I am the first one to do this xOver too! So that is exciting!
To answer some questions. It is very unlikely that this will be a harem, I've never been big on them. Reverse Harem is a possibility though!
To "Guest" Yes, Beastars is a Anime worth watching. It was a big surprise to me since I dont really like watching anime/shows that are CGI heavy. Beastars however, has a nice mix of 3d and 2d that I sometimes forget about it. Its got a compelling story and can relate to many people. It does have some dark themes and mature moments. It is also not "Furry Porn" as some people will say.
Now, Onto the story!
Chapter Two
She was warm, the surface she was laying on was soft, the air even smelled fresh. This had to be a dream. She hadn't been warm or slept in a comfortable bed in over a week. Despite that, she was still in some pain. Her powers not yet come back enough to fully heal her.
Groaning, she cracked open one cobalt blue eye to look at her surroundings. The room was simply furnished, there was a small table with two chairs near the bed, a small bookshelf on the wall, a vase with bamboo growing in it, along with some bamboo paintings, there was a small kitchen, other little accessories were spewn about. It looked tidy though.
Sitting up, she flinched slightly, placing her hand on her neck, she felt fresh bandages. Looking down, she saw that her arm and leg was wrapped in bandages as well. Next to her feet, she saw her giant yellow back pack.
Eyes going wide, she bent down to lift the pack and opened it. Most of her things were still inside it. Her brush and a few items of clothing were missing from what he could tell.
Wait...
Looking down, she noticed that she wasn't wearing the same clothing she was while at Giro's hideout. Everything then came back to her, Giro losing his senses, him biting into her neck and the giant panda that appeared before she passed out.
Blushing, she wondered if the Panda man was the one to change her clothes. She hoped not.
That raised another question though. Every other animal she has come across would lose themselves as soon as they would smell her, why didn't he? Was it because Panda's were mostly Herbivores? They primarily ate bamboo, even though they could eat meat and other plant matter.
If that was the case, she could simply dull down her smell, so it wasn't so strong. It wouldn't take much energy and it would hopefully prevent the animals here from losing themselves. She didn't think about it before since she was so disoriented and Giro found her as soon as she arrived near the Black Alley Market. Her and the group had just defeated Naraku and-
Her eyes widened. How was she going to get home? She didn't even know how she got here, where she was, or anything about this world other than it seemed to be run by humanoid animals that reminded her so much of her demon friends, yet were so different. Hugging herself in a pathetic attempt for comfort, tears started to fall down her face.
What was she going to do?
Doubling over, she held back a sob. The events of the last eight days hitting her full force. So lost in her grieving, she failed to notice the door to the small apartment open.
"So you're finally awake, huh?"
Tensing, Kagome's head whipped up to look at the new comer, pain instantly shooting down her neck causing her to flinch.
He was huge! He looked to be nearly seven foot tall easy, he towered over her five foot five frame. He was very imposing, the black around his eyes so intense, she couldn't see his eyes. The scars on his face added to the effect.
When he closed the door and walked more into the room, she was ashamed that her body flinched against her will when the door clicked closed. When she heard the automated locks go off, she repressed the urge to back into a corner. She needed to keep a calm head, she needed to show no weakness. Animals fed off weakness, she had to appear strong.
Taking a deep breath, she calmed herself as best she could and watched as the giant panda pulled out a seat from under the small table near the bed. He faced the chair to her and sat down, resting his right elbow on the table, he rested his head on his massive hand.
Once she was calmer, she felt his aura. While it was imposing, it was very calm and held no malice. He obviously meant her no ill intent. He wasn't losing himself to his instincts either like all other animals she's come across. He clearly had better control than Giro and his gang.
Sitting up straight, she bent down slightly in a bow. She ignored the pain that shot through her body from her injures.
"Thank you for saving me."
He leaned forward some, getting a good look at her. His gaze made her want to fidget, but she held her ground. "Why did they have you?" His voice was deep and gruff. He pulled a small stick of bamboo out of his pocket and placed it in his mouth.
Sighing, Kagome carefully ran a hand through her hair. "I don't know. Giro and some of his men found me collapsed near the back alley market. I was unconscious, I don't even know how I got there. They took me to his hideout. Which is where I stayed for a week until you showed up." Another tear fell from her eye.
"Apparently I smelled irresistible to them. On more than one occasion Giro would fight with his men when they would lose control of themselves. He even killed a Leopard in front of me when they wouldn't snap out of it." She sniffled, forcing herself to not cry when the memories came back. "Giro he... he took it upon himself to get high off my scent. I wasn't strong enough to fight him off. I was already weak when they found me."
"Where are you from?"
She paused, he probably didn't know anything about her world. It was the feudal era all over again when she first arrived.
"Tokyo?"
One of his brows rose. "Never heard of it. Were you bred for consumption?" He asked.
What!?
She looked at him incredulously. "What do you mean by that?" He couldn't mean what she thought he meant... right?
He scratched behind one of his ears, she was immediately fixated on the movement. She focused back on his face when he crossed his arms over his broad chest. He looked annoyed, his aura conveyed as much. "What do I mean? I mean if you were born for the sole purpose to be consumed by carnivores." He repositioned in the chair. "By your reaction, I'll assume not. You're the second human I've come across. Yours is a rare species and prized for their meat. Most of the fucking idiots that have lost themselves to their instincts would pay a hefty fortune for Human meat." He chuckled though there was no humor behind it. "You're an endangered species."
She gulped audibly. That couldn't... that couldn't be right. How was that possible?
"How many Humans are left?"
He shrugged, pulling the stick of bamboo out of his mouth and tossing it in the trash can. "Well, after I brought you back and bandaged you up, I did some digging. Last year, there were one thousand recorded Humans. Obviously this doesn't count those to be bred for consumption in the back alley market. So, I would add about another dozen or so. Could be more, could be less, I can't answer for the rest of the worlds markets."
She wanted to cry again. She would have never thought that she would ever be considered an endangered species.
She hiccuped and wiped at her eyes. Not being able to stop the tears that were falling.
Gohin tensed, not prepared for a crying female to be in his room. He stood and walked over to the bed where she was sitting. She flinched when he placed one of his large hands on he uninjured shoulder. Sighing, he gently sat down beside her, even sitting, he was over a head taller than her. She barely came up to his chest.
He was secretly glad that she didn't back away from him. Most females were intimidated by his size and brash manors. It made it hard to help them most of the time if they weren't going crazy from bloodlust.
"The name is Gohin."
She looked up at him, her cobalt blue eyes darkening to navy. A fat tears were still sliding down her face.
"Kagome."
