Hello, Dia duit, Bonsoir og God kveld.

Time for part 2 of episode 2. Another district will win upper class, another person will win the gold star, and another person will go home. Or maybe they won't. We'll see.

Drama Nation - Episode 2, Part 2 - Hope You Like It Cold

The sun rose on Gemini.

The green district minus Jo and Lightning were gathered in the bar. The camera focused on Sky, who was sitting on Eva's lap and blowing her nose with a hankie. The older girl had her arms around the district leader.

"I can't believe this," Geoff said, shaking his head. "They did that?"

"That's what they told me anyway," Brick said, putting his arms in defence.

"Those two have no idea who they're messing with," Eva growled. "Wait 'til I get my hands on…"

"Too tight! Too tight!" Sky cried, jumping in Eva's grip.

"Oh, sorry," Eva apologised.

"Bullying someone into going home is so not cool," Jasmine frowned, her arms folded.

"They need to learn a lesson," Ella agreed, holding up her index finger.

"Agreed. They could learn to be a bit more grateful," DJ said, hands on his hips.

"Easy for you to say, buddy. You won 50,000 dollars," Eva remarked.

"No, DJ's right," Sky said, leaping off of Eva. "And I have a plan…as long as everyone else is okay with it."

Ella, 8, Ontario: Jo is a meanie! Dave, my prince, you will get your revenge!

The 39 pioneers stood before Chris, who was standing in front of the job board.

"Good morning, kids. Hope you enjoyed brekkie," he said.

"Yeah right," Noah muttered, which made Cameron laugh.

"Anyway, it's time for the next showdown. This is your chance to change your district's class. Get a new salary, for better or worse. Follow me to get to your challenge destination."

Harold, 13, Town Council: Finally, another showdown! This is our chance to get out of the labour class.

Amy, 9, New Brunswick: We better get upper class again. I do NOT scrub toilets.

Sky, 9, Ontario: [rubs her hands] Justice is about to get served.

The kids were in awe as they stood in the field and gazed upon a giant water-slide.

"Woah!" Harold exclaimed. "Is this part of the challenge?"

"Nope," Chris replied. "This is one of two possible rewards if you complete this challenge in under an hour."

The pioneers cheered at this.

"What's the other reward?" Beth asked, raising her hand.

"Good question, Beth. Have a cookie," Chris replied, tossing a chocolate-chip to the farm girl.

"Hey, I've asked questions before!" Courtney protested.

"The other reward…will be revealed after the challenge," Chris told them.

A few groans followed.

"Moving on, in front of each district is a pile of pipes. You guys will need to screw these together so water can flow from this pump, to those water wheels over there."

Chris pointed ahead at four coloured water wheels. Between them and the wheels stood a bunch of obstacles.

"First, you have to run the pipes through an outhouse, then a barrel, then through a wall of pipes. Only one pipe flows out. Finally, you get to the wheel. First team to get it spinning wins upper class, second team are the merchants, third team are the cooks, and the last place team are the labourers."

"And one more thing," Chris concluded. "I will turn on the pumps as soon as you start. It will spray constantly while you work."

"Are you kidding?" Noah complained.

"Seriously?" Cody added.

"Everyone get into position, and I'll start the timer!" Chris announced.

The scene flashed ahead to everyone crowded around their respective pumps.

"On your marks, get set, go!"

The four districts immediately got to picking up pipes and connectors, and putting them together.

"Okay guys, careful formation. Careful formation," Courtney said, clapping her hands.

Courtney, 14, Town Council: We really need to get a few good results. My future as a council member depends on it.

"Here you go," Sammy said as she handed a pipe to Gwen, who was in the process of being soaked.

"We're so gonna win this challenge," Amy squealed as she stood to the side with Izzy and Sugar. "Samey loves playing in the sewers."

"No I don't," Sammy protested.

"I went in the sewers once," Izzy said. "I made it all the way from Halifax to Sydney. Not Sydney in Australia, though. Sydney in Nova Scotia."

"Can you girls shut up and help out?" Gwen snapped, trying to shake water out of her hair.

"Would you relax?" Noah asked as he screwed a bolt onto a pipe. "Quiet Kid's got this."

The camera panned over to Quiet Kid, who was bent down beside the wall of pipes while Cody put in some water that was cupped in his hands.

Gwen, 14, British Columbia: I still hate this team. The girls do nothing but gossip and pick on Samey. But Noah is too clueless to notice anything.

Beth was busy screwing on pipes when Ezekiel came over.

"You need to screw them tighter. It's leaking," he pointed out. He bent down to help, but Beth shoved him away.

"Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't take care of myself!" Beth snapped at him.

"Oh my gosh, can you shut up!?" Shawn yelled at her.

"What?" Beth hissed at him.

"That's all you go on about. Blah, blah, I'm a girl, I don't need no strong man," Shawn added in a mocking voice.

"Try telling that to him," Beth frowned, jerking her finger at Ezekiel.

"Try telling that to him," Shawn mimicked, rolling his eyes.

"Stop doing that."

"Stop doing that."

"Seriously Shawn."

"Seriously Shawn."

"Eh, Shawn. Maybe you should help out Sam and Leonard," Ezekiel suggested, pointing at the two boys who were trying to put pipes into the wall.

"Okay," Shawn said, and he ran off.

Ezekiel smiled nervously at Beth, but she didn't react.

Beth, 12, Alberta: Ugh, Ezekiel was bad enough. But now he's got Shawn on his side? This is so not okay.

Shawn, 9, Alberta: I wish they'd all leave Ezekiel alone. He's a nice guy.

Ella took a deep breath as she slowly screwed in another pipe, only to let out a scream as her face was splashed with a small jet of water.

"What's the hold up!?" Jo yelled from nearby.

Sky, 9, Ontario: As a district, we agreed to throw the challenge to teach Jo and Lightning a lesson. But to be honest, we would have fallen behind either way.

DJ and Geoff did their best to hold up the structure while the younger ones tried to tighten it together.

"It's still leaking!" Jasmine exclaimed as she tried to help Ella out.

"Here, let Lightning have a go!" Lightning exclaimed, shoving Ella out of the way. She tumbled into DJ and made him lose focus, causing the pipes to fall apart and land on the ground with a clatter.

"Thanks a lot, moron!" Jo yelled at him.

Jo, 10, Alberta: I swear, I'm on a team of idiots.

The yellow district made it as far as the wall of pipes.

"Great work, guys," Courtney said enthusiastically. "Now we need to figure out which pipe will lead us out."

"Let's start at the bottom. It's easier to reach," Scott suggested.

"No, it has to be near the top. It wouldn't be a challenge for nothing," Courtney said.

"I dunno. I'm liking the bottom," Heather stated.

"We can't waste time arguing. We're doing top," Courtney snapped.

"Whatever you say, Miss Courtney," Scott grinned, passing the pipe up to Heather.

Trent, 14, Manitoba: With Courtney, it's her way, or the highway. It's starting to get on nerves to be honest.

"We found it!" Cody shouted to the rest of the team, shivering. "We f-found it!"

"Awesome! We're nearly there!" Noah called back as he and the rest of the team continued to build the network.

They finally connected it with the wall of pipes, and the water jetted out to the other side.

"Cody, you're a lifesaver!" Noah exclaimed.

"D-don't look at me," Cody said. "It was Quiet Kid who found it."

Everyone looked at Quiet Kid. He smiled and blushed.

"Let's keep going. This is our big chance!" Owen shouted.

Cody, 15, Ontario: That challenge was torture. I had to put cold water into the pipes with my bare hands. By the end I felt like my fingers were gonna fall off.

"Nearly there. Stay steady. Make sure there's no leakage," Harold said as his team approached the wall the pipes. "Have you guys found the hole yet?"

"Not yet. We've tried half of them," Sam said.

"Okay, which ones do you have left?" Harold asked.

"We started from the bottom-left and worked our way from there," Shawn explained.

"I see," Harold mused. "Well, it should be quicker now that we have the pipe. Where did you leave off?"

Shawn grabbed onto the wall and climbed up.

"This one," he said, pointing at one of the holes at the top.

Beth, 12, Alberta: Shawn is like a monkey.

[she holds her nose]

In more ways than one.

While the other three districts had already made the wall, the green district wasn't even close.

"Come on, guys, we can do this!" Sky exclaimed, clapping her hands.

"You heard the leader. Move it!" Jo shouted as she picked up a pipe from the pile. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?"

Ella gasped as she up looked from loosening one of the pipes in the middle of the structure.

"You're trying to sabotage us!" Jo yelled.

She jumped up and pointed at the fairy-tale enthusiast.

"Guys! Ella is trying to throw the challenge! She's a traitor!" she screamed.

Several of the green district members looked up, and Sky ran over.

"Ella, you don't have to do that. We're behind as it is," she said, squatting down beside her.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Jo snapped, hands on her hips.

"Uh…" Sky said hesitantly.

"You told her to do that!" Jo exclaimed. "I can't believe this. Some leader you are. You don't even care about your own team."

"Says you!" Sky yelled. "We know you bullied Dave into going home."

"W-what? No I didn't," Jo said hesitantly. "Okay maybe I did. So what? We would have won the last showdown if it wasn't for him."

"Is that all you care about!?" Sky continued to shout. "Dave was our friend! And thanks to you, he's gone!"

"Oh boo hoo. He wasn't going to survive anyway. He couldn't go five seconds with going 'ooh a germ! A germ! I'm gonna die."

Sky's face started to go red. "I can't believe I ever let you on this district. You're horrible!"

Jo gasped, "What did you just say?"

"You're a rude, selfish, mean bully!"

Jo gritted her teeth. "You have no idea who you're messing with, you little squirt! You think you're tough? I could beat into a pulp if I wanted to! Send you home in a…"

There was a clang and Jo collapsed to the ground.

Sky looked to Eva, who stood by Jo with a pipe in her hand.

"Eva!" Sky screamed.

"Sorry. I just couldn't listen to her for another second," Eva sighed.

Eva, 13, British Columbia: I have some…anger management issues. But you mess with me or my friends, and you get hurt.

"The blue district has found the correct pipe! They're moving on!" Chris announced.

"What!? But they just got there!" Courtney protested. "How many holes have we tried?"

"I don't know," Lindsay replied, pointing at them. "That one, that one, not that one, maybe that one…"

"You mean you weren't doing them in order?" Courtney let out a frustrated scream. "Give it over here!"

She tried to grab the pipe, but Lindsay held onto it.

"Give it!" Courtney shouted.

"Guys, look!" Scott exclaimed, pointing his finger towards the pipe.

Sure enough, the pipe at the bottom was gushing with water.

"Yay! I did it!" Lindsay squealed.

Courtney scratched her head, "Uh, yeah. Thanks Lindsay?"

"And the red district win! They are the upper class! Again!" Chris announced. Courtney turned her head to see the red kids jumping around with joy.

"Let's just keep going," she said with a groan.

Noah, 12, Town Council: Two wins a row, huh? I'm getting pretty good at this leading business.

As the tallest member of the blue district, Bridgette stood on top of a bale of hay and screwed in one of the last few pipes.

"Come on! Who's got another one?" she asked.

"Here you go!" Sam exclaimed, holding up his arms.

"We're almost done! Keep it up!" Harold exclaimed.

"Guys, wait," Dawn said.

"Just a couple more left. Keep them coming," Bridgette said.

"Bridgette, stop!" Dawn shouted.

Everyone turned to look at the moonchild.

"What's wrong, Dawn?" Bridgette asked.

"We should let the yellow district beat us," Dawn said.

"Excuse me?" Ezekiel said with a raised eyebrow.

"What? Dawn, are you crazy?" Harold frowned.

"No good can come from the yellows being the cooks again," Dawn said. "None of them are any good, and Courtney won't let DJ help. If we become the cooks, Shawn can cook his fish on the stove, and…"

"No! I'm not throwing the challenge! We are getting merchants and that's final!" Harold yelled.

"She does have a point," Leshawna said, pointing at Dawn. "I know I'd rather not eat Courtney's cooking again."

"Yeah, that stuff is yucky," Leonard agreed.

"No! Come on, guys! We're almost done. Here you go, Bridgette," Harold said, handing Bridgette a pipe.

"They're going to keep killing chickens!" Dawn screamed.

"No," Bridgette gasped, hopping down from the bale. "I can't do this. We have to be the cooks."

Harold let out a frustrated groan. "I don't know…"

"Harold, part of being a leader is listening to your people. I thought you would know that," Leshawna said to him.

Harold thought about it for a few seconds and then he sighed, "Alright, I've made my decision…"

"The blue district has completed their wheel!" Chris announced. "They are the merchants!"

The rest of the district turned their heads to see Ezekiel standing on the bale of hay. His eyes went wide as his team-mates started yelling at him.

Gwen, 14, British Columbia: I feel kind of bad for Ezekiel. He's very good at making people hate him.

"Darn it," Courtney groaned after Chris made the announcement. "How's the green district doing?"

"Still trying to figure out the wall," Scott informed her, using his hand as a visor.

"Ok good," Courtney nodded. "But that's no reason to slack. Move it."

"You heard her. Someone get me a pipe!" Heather exclaimed as she stood on top of a bale.

"Here, take this," Tyler said, slapping a pipe into her hand.

"Ouch!" Heather screamed. "Watch it, you moron!"

"Sorry," Tyler said quickly.

"Ten minutes remaining!" Chris announced. "The yellow district is almost finished, but the greens still have a bit to go."

Courtney, 14, Town Council: We can't get labourers. We just can't.

Jo was still unconscious on the ground. The rest of the green district had used her as a stump to keep a section of the pipes in place.

"The yellow district are finished! They are the cooks!" Chris announced. "Five minutes remaining."

"Okay, we got our wish. Let's just get the prize," DJ said.

"I still can't believe this," Lightning pouted. "Lightning's team is a bunch of sabotagers."

"In case you haven't realised, this isn't Lightning's team!" Jasmine snapped at him. "This is the green district. And everyone matters."

"Some people matter. Some don't. That's life," Lightning shrugged.

Jasmine gasped at this.

"If you don't shut your mouth, I'll knock you out next!" Eva yelled at her.

"Please don't," Sky pled as she handed a pipe to Geoff.

The camera flashed to Chris shouting, "One minute remaining!"

Sky took shallow breaths as she screwed in another pipe.

"Come on, guys, we can still make it!" Geoff exclaimed.

Still on her spot on the ground, Jo began to stir. "Uh…" she mumbled as she moved her arms. "What the…"

She jerked her body forward, breaking through the pipes that she had been holding up.

It wasn't long before this attracted the attention of the rest of the district.

"Oh no!" Ella cried. "We were on the right track."

"Woah, so suddenly you care. You only want to win when you can use me as a prop!" Jo roared.

"Jo, can you please…" Eva sighed.

"No! I cannot, please! You guys don't care about anything. Except pissing me off!" Jo yelled.

"Stop making everything about you!" Jasmine shouted.

"What are you talking about? You guys threw the challenge because of me!"

"No, because of Dave!" Jasmine snapped.

"Yeah, I got rid of him. Same thing!"

"Is not!"

"Is too!"

The girls were interrupted by a loud whistle. Everyone turned to look at Brick who had two fingers in his mouth.

"We already lost, soldiers. Can you stop fighting?" he sighed.

"Not quite, greens! You still have two seconds!" Chris announced. "And now you're out of time."

A series of groans followed, not just from the green district, but also from the other districts at the prospect of not getting a prize.

"Green district, you did not complete the showdown in under an hour. Therefore the town will not receive an additional prize," Chris said as all 39 kids gathered in front of him.

"Thanks a lot, team," Jo scowled as she stood wrapped in a towel.

"Shush," Eva hissed at her.

"You could have won that water slide or…" Chris said as he removed a cloth from over the other prize. "…a ton of water pumps. All over town."

"That would have been a tough choice," Noah said sarcastically.

"This is so unfair," Ella cried, hands over her face.

"Sky, how do you feel about losing?" Chris asked.

Sky had a tear in her eye as Eva wrapped her arms around her.

"I…I was just trying to do the right thing," she sniffed.

DJ, 14, British Columbia: [sighs] We thought throwing the challenge would make us feel better. But honestly, it's just torn our team apart even further.

It was the next day. The town stood before the council members as they re-arranged the job board.

Zoey, 10, Manitoba: I am kind of annoyed that Ezekiel ignored everyone, but I am happy we didn't get labourers twice in a row

Eva kicked open the door of one of the outhouses.

"Showtime," she said to Lightning and Jo.

"There is no way I am doing that," Jo pouted.

Eva picked her up, threw her in and slammed the door shut.

"Hey! Hey! Let me out!" Jo screamed, banging on the door.

"Not until that toilet is sparkling clean!" Eva roared at her. She then turned to Lightning.

"Lightning, can you please take this and clean the outhouse to our left?" she asked, kicking over another mop.

"Yes ma'am," Lightning said quickly, taking the mop and running off.

Lightning, 11, Manitoba: Eva is scary, man!

Geoff, DJ and Brick groaned in pain as they dragged a cartful of water jugs to their cabin, where Jasmine and Ella were busy doing laundry.

"Oh gosh, this is thirsty work," Brick said, wiping sweat from his brow.

"Well, good thing we got water," Geoff chuckled, fanning himself with his hat.

"Just a quick sip," DJ told them. "We need to get these somewhere cool."

Brick walked over to Ella and Jasmine. "And how are you ladies doing?"

"This work is torture," Jasmine groaned. "My hands are stinging."

"I'm so glad I wore gloves," Ella said. "I hate getting this outfit dirty, but it must be done."

"I kind of regret throwing the challenge," DJ sighed. "All this work – it just ain't worth it."

"It too was worth it!" Ella protested, standing up. "I'd do laundry until I die for my friend, Dave."

"It's not just that," DJ continued. "Did you see how angry Jo got? We've completely turned her against us."

"Well she can piss off for all I care!" Jasmine shouted, also standing up. "She's a rude meanie who only cares about herself."

"Are we really any better than her?" DJ asked, raising his tone. "Sabotaging the challenge hasn't brought Dave back, has it?"

"Well, no, but…" Jasmine replied, only for DJ to interrupt her.

"We wanted to show that nobody gets left behind, right?" DJ asked. "Well, maybe it's time we put our money where our mouth is. Show Jo and Lightning that they're not gonna get left behind neither."

The other four looked at each other uncertainly.

"I think you're crazy," Jasmine frowned, her hands on her hips. "I want nothing to do with Jo."

DJ looked to Ella, who sighed, "It's not what my prince would have wanted."

Then he looked at Brick, who scratched his neck, "I know you mean well, DJ, but from my experience, it's best not to give bullies any attention."

DJ sighed as he picked up the cart of water jugs and set off.

"Hey, I'm with you, bro," Geoff said, getting in beside him. "There's always room at the party."

"Thanks man," DJ replied.

Geoff, 13, British Columbia: DJ is right. It's totally a bummer when everyone fights.

"But I gave you five nickels!" Scott protested, banging his fist on the counter.

"No, I'm pretty sure you only gave me one," Zoey said timidly.

"And I'm 100% sure you gave me five," Scott told her. "Didn't I, Rodney?"

"Zoey…rainbows…and dog food," Rodney stuttered, drool falling from his mouth.

Scott brought his hand to his face. "I am not about to pay 25 cents for some pen and paper. Give me my change."

Zoey sighed, "Okay, fine."

She opened the cash register and gave Scott four nickels.

"Thank you," Scott grinned, and he and Rodney walked off.

Just then, the doorbell rang, and Gwen walked up to the counter.

"Hello, how can I help you?" Zoey greeted.

"I was looking for Bridgette. Is she here?" Gwen asked.

"No," Zoey replied. "She and Beth had business to attend to."

"No prizes for guessing what?" Gwen asked, and Zoey giggled.

"So they've left you to tend the shop on your own?"

"Yeah, but it's cool. They're my friends," Zoey assured her.

"Whatever you say," Gwen shrugged. "What the heck, I got nothing better to do."

She put her hands on the counter and lifted herself over.

Zoey, 10, Manitoba: I thought Gwen was kind of mean at first, but she's actually pretty cool.

"Open the door this instant!" Courtney screamed as she battled with Beth, Bridgette and Dawn over the gate of the chicken enclosure. "You know you're not supposed to be in here. Upper class and cooks only!"

"You can't kill any more chickens!" Bridgette yelled. "There's a whole pile of fish back at our cabin. Use that instead!"

"We are not cooking day old fish! That's disgusting!" Courtney yelled back.

"Shawn and Owen can catch some more. Just leave them alone!" Beth pleaded.

"This isn't your decision! Open the damn gate!" Courtney screamed.

Scott and Rodney were watching from outside when Scott made a hand gesture at his cousin. The larger boy lifted Scott up and he started to climb the barbed wire fence, only to be doused in brown slop.

"Haha, nice try boys," Leshawna chuckled as she sat on top of the fence, armed with a bucket.

"Leshawna!" the three girls gasped as they spotted their friend.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?" Courtney asked angrily.

"Just servin' up a little justice. Hope you like it cold," Leshawna grinned, aiming the rest of the slop at Courtney's head.

Courtney let out a high-pitched scream, loud enough to be broadcast throughout camp

"Huh?" Noah said as he awoke from an afternoon nap.

Leshawna, 14, Manitoba: I know I wasn't on board with the protesting at first, but we reached a compromise, and Courtney's just gonna have to deal with it.

The other three council members looked at Courtney as she stomped into the empty mess hall.

"Ugh, some people in this town are just unbelievable," she growled as she sat down opposite Sky, who looked off to the side.

"Sky, are you alright?" Courtney asked in concern.

Sky shook her head, "Yes, I mean, I don't know. Everything keeps going wrong."

"Do you need a hug?" Courtney asked, holding out her arms, and Sky returned it.

It lasted a few seconds, then they sat back down.

"Okay, let's get down to business," Sky said, rubbing her hands. "Who are we giving the next gold star?"

"Hm," Courtney mused.

"I'd like to give it to Owen, Cody or Shawn," Sky suggested. "They helped out big time by catching all those fish."

"Oh no, not Shawn. He's trouble," Harold frowned.

"Dude, he's 9," Noah said with a raised eyebrow.

"I've told him many times that he has to sleep in the cabin. He hasn't done it once," Harold scowled.

"I don't know. I still like him," Sky said. "And I'd love to give a star to one of the younger kids."

"Well it ain't Shawn. At least until he learns to behave," Harold replied. "Owen or Cody I'm happy with."

"What do you think, Noah?" Sky asked.

"Hm," Noah thought about it. "I'd go with Owen. He's the harder worker of the two. Cody can get…distracted sometimes."

"If you mean his obsession with Gwen, it's also super creepy," Courtney interjected. "But I'm not sure if we should give it to any of them. Cooking wasn't their job."

"Owen and Cody are upper class. They work wherever they're needed," Noah pointed out.

"Funny you should mention that…" Harold said snarkily.

"One argument at a time, buddy," Noah interrupted, holding up his palm. "And no offence, Courtney, but it's not like your district could handle it themselves."

"Hey, we are not that bad!" Courtney protested, standing up.

"Yes, you are," Noah shot back.

"Well at least I actually do work. All you do is sit around and take naps!" Courtney shouted,

"Guys, guys, calm down," Sky said, clapping her hands. "Courtney, I'm sure your district did their best, but it just wasn't enough."

Courtney sulked and folded her arms, "If I vote for Owen can we stop talking about this?"

The 39 kids gathered in the hall for the next meeting.

"Is everyone here?" Chris asked as the last kid (Leshawna) shut the door. "Okay, good. First things first, raise your hand if you approve of the job that the council is doing."

Most of the kids raised their hands, though not as many as last time.

"Now, raise your hand if you do not approve of the job that the council is doing."

Shawn and Gwen raised their hands. They were joined by Trent, Jo and all of the girls of the blue district.

"Ooh, a few more this time," Chris mused. "Trent, why don't you go first?"

Trent put down his hand and spoke, "I thought the council would like to know that DJ was helping us out in the kitchen, and Courtney kicked him out."

Harold gasped at this and frowned at the yellow district leader.

"Well that explains everything," Noah said, shooting Courtney a glare.

"Can you shut up for once?" Courtney snapped at him.

"Why would you do that?" Harold asked. "He's the best cook here."

"Like I told him before, it wasn't his job. He was a merchant. And now he's a labourer. End of story," Courtney shrugged.

"Is that really all you care about? The town needs food," Leshawna frowned. "This is literally a life and death situation."

"I'm going to have to agree," Harold stated. "Everyone in this town should be allowed to help out where they're needed. Or vital in DJ's case."

"What he said," Noah agreed.

Courtney looked over at Sky, who sighed, "Sorry, Courtney, but that's not cool. You shouldn't do that again."

There were a few seconds of silence then Courtney sighed, "Okay fine, DJ can help in the kitchen."

The town burst into applause. Trent took a bow and sat down. Duncan laughed as he patted his friend on the back.

"Glad that's settled," Chris grinned. "Who to pick next? How about…"

"I shall go next!" Jo interrupted, which made Chris shrug. "I would also like to switch districts."

"Great, this again," Courtney groaned.

"My district is apparently a bunch of traitors, and I don't want to be with them anymore. I'd like a district that actually cares about winning, like red."

"A three way swap!" Shawn proposed. "I'll go on green, Gwen on blue, and Jo on red."

"Sounds good," Gwen grinned.

"No!" all four council members exclaimed at the same time.

"Really? You too Sky?" Jo asked. "I seem to recall you were okay with swapping districts last time."

"Not like this, Jo. Okay?" Sky sighed, her face down on the table.

"Not like this, Jo," Jo mimicked. "The truth is, you're only against it because you hate me, and you don't want…"

"Just give it a rest. We're not switching teams. End of discussion!" Courtney snapped, banging her hand on the table.

Leshawna, 14, Manitoba: I'm pretty happy with the latest meeting. DJ can use the kitchen when he wants, and three of the districts agreed not to kill any more chickens – though they also said the yellow district had the right to kill more if they wanted. You can't have it all, I guess.

Beth, 12, Alberta: Courtney can be so stubborn. We blue girls aren't going down without a fight.

"Wow, a lot of drama this time round," Chris chuckled. "But it's time to move on. I will once again ask this question – does anyone want to go home?"

…nobody raised their hand.

Everyone cheered at this.

"Nice," Chris grinned. "And now it's time for the most important part of this meeting – the council will award another gold star to another pioneer. As you may remember, each star is worth its weight in gold – 50,000 dollars."

He turned to the four council members, "Who's it gonna be this time?"

Harold stood up, "As the council, we've observed a lot of disagreement, especially regarding the food situation. In this meeting we've discussed who should allowed to cook, what food they should be allowed to cook, et cetera. We'd like to give a special mention to three boys who kept us all fed – Cody, Owen and Shawn."

The pioneers all cheered as they turned to face the three boys, who all happened to be sitting together. Owen, who was in the middle, grabbed his friends hands and lifted their arms into the air.

"Honestly, we could have given this star to any of you three," Harold continued. "But we decided to give it to…Owen."

Owen's jaw dropped as his two friends joined in with the cheering.

"Oh man, I did not see that coming!" he exclaimed as he brought them in for a hug.

"Go get it, dude," Cody said, patting him on the back as he stood up.

"Congratulations, Owen," Chris said he handed him the gold star. "How does this make you feel?"

"Oh, whew, I just can't believe this. I never thought it would be me," Owen replied, visibly panting. "I mean, Shawn did most of the work."

A few of the contestants laughed, while Shawn called out, "Don't worry, dude. I know the council hates me!"

The council members shared some puzzled looks over this remark.

"What are you gonna do with the money?" Chris asked Owen.

"I dunno," Owen replied. "Maybe a house made of chocolate?"

More laughter ensued.

"No seriously. Can you imagine how delicious that would be?"

Chris shook his head. "Ok buddy. How would you like to call your parents and tell them the good news?"

"Yes!" Owen cheered, pumping his fist.

The town continued to cheer as he ran out, receiving high-fives and back-slaps along the way.

"Owen! Owen! Owen!" everyone chanted.

Gwen, 14, British Columbia: Owen is one of the less awful people on the red district. He's pretty nice, and he actually does work even though we're upper class.

Noah, 12, Town Council: Let's face it. If it weren't for Owen and friends, we would have starved to death by now.

Owen was out of breath when he reached the building with the telephone.

"Hello?" a female voice answered.

"Mom! Hey! It's Owen!" Owen answered.

"Owen!" his mom screamed. "Honey come over here, it's our son!"

"No way!" a man exclaimed. "Owen, my man, how's it going? What have you been up to?"

"Mom, dad, you're not going to believe this," Owen said. "They give out these gold stars for great work and I got one."

"Oh, Owen, that's great!" his mom exclaimed.

"But get this – it's worth 50,000 dollars."

"What!?" his mom screamed. "Owen that's amazing. Isn't it hon…"

She stopped and screamed.

"Mom, are you alright?"

"Yes. Yes I am. Sorry, sweetie, I think your dad's having a heart attack. Can we call you back?"

"Uh…I don't think so," Owen replied awkwardly. "Tell my brothers I said hi."

"I will. Bye," his mom said, then she hung up.

"And that wraps up another episode," Chris said as he stood in front of the town hall. "Will Sky ever stop crying? Will Noah stop being a lazy sloth? And will Courtney make anyone else hate her? Find on next time on Drama…Nation!"

So nobody went home after all. Owen gets the next gold star, DJ's back in the kitchen, and turns out 9-year old Sky cares a lot less about winning compared with her older self.

As always, review whatever your opinion, fav and follow and I will see you next time (unless you're an unstable little shit who thinks it's funny to doxx your teacher and make false allegations against her - but let's not get into that)
