This was going to be an important day in Musutafu City's history.
After decades of service from All Might, the city had made a dedication to the hero in his honor. With Present Mic in Tartarus once again, there was no was this day was going to be ruined.
At the certain prison, one of the older warrants was approaching Present Mic's isolation cell. He held behind him a small blue box with yellow and red ribbons tied around it. Once he approached the cell, he saw one of the guards meant to watch over the villain was reading the daily newspaper. The warrant snatched the newspaper out of his hands.
"Read another time. Open it up." He commanded and the guard complied.
The guard turned around and pressed a button that was on a keypad behind him. A small opening was revealed in the cell's door and it revealed what was inside the cell. The walls were painted with a plain setting as cartoon animals were seen around these plains. Over the animals were writing in cursive that read, "Be good, little villain!" with a smiling face at the end of the sentence. In the room, there was cell bed connected to the wall and a toilet on the other side of the cell. In the middle, there was a small chair that sat in front of a 1980's TV set. One thing was noticeable to the warrant: the room was empty. In surprise, the warrant looked closer to see if the villain within was anywhere out of sight.
Suddenly, a tall figure jumped out while letting out a muffled scream. Despite how quiet it was due to the man's muzzle, it still scared the warrant. The reaction caused the villain within to laugh with glee. He twirled around a few times and landed on the metal chair behind him.
Present Mic was surely different from his time in public school. His blonde hair had grown longer and reached down to his bottom spine. He still wore his glasses he was given when he was 20, but they didn't show signs of any damage over the years. Instead of his regular costume, he had a white prison tee and pants along with black shoes. He also wore his quirk cancelling muzzle. But this time, it was made of metal and had thick chains go across the back of his head instead of leather straps. The muzzle was also equipped with the ability to shock him if he tried to remove it. Which made the ability to remove the muzzle less likely.
"Good morning, warrant!" He exclaimed as he still giggled. But he soon stopped after he sighed with happiness. "I have news for you! I feel a rush of goodness and purity rush through my veins! I think I'm ready to be a law abiding citizen. Just like you and the others wished for me to be for so long."
The warrant scoffed at his words and stared at him. "You're no hero, Mic. You're a villain. It runs in your DNA after all." He commented at the smiling voice villain.
"Oh you're so much fun, warrant." Mic said as he crossed his legs and folded his hands together, continuing to stare at the warrant. The old man sighed as he held up the box he held.
"Got a present in the mail." He stated, beginning to open the box.
"What is it? A kitty?" Mic asked with anticipation, leaning over.
The warrant pulled out what looked like a ring. It was gold colored with tiny music notes decorating the outside of the ring.
"Hm. From All Might." He said aloud as he saw a note that was within the box. He took out the note and read it.
"'To at least look decent during you 90 life sentences.' Huh. Never thought All Might would gloat. Yet he does have a good taste in jewelry. How about I hold onto this for you?" He asked sternly as he placed the ring on his right ring finger. Mic glared at him with a smirk.
"You may if you wish. As long as you give me the time of the opening of All Might's Museum." Mic stated. The old man looked down to the watch that was on his right arm.
"Oh no!" He said sarcastically, staring at his watch. "You're gonna miss it! By a million years." The old man glared at the villain once again and walked away from the cell. He signaled the guard and the guard pressed the keypad once again, closing the opening in the cell.
"That's what you think, buddy." Present Mic said, starting to let out an evil laugh that was muffled by his muzzle.
In Musutafu, the citizens and heroes began to gather around the square of the city. The crowd had begun to grow as citizens parked their vehicles near the square and arrived to their designated spots for the grand opening of the museum. Nearby, heroes from different agencies were gathered. Each one of them was discussing strategies as they were also speaking of plans if anything went wrong during the reveal. In front of the museum were many news reporters from different news stations, telling the same story but had reworded it. One of these stories was noticeable through the phone of one hero that sat on the roof of a near building.
"Happy All Might Day, Musutafu City! Today, we celebrate the day our Symbol of Peace has come into our lives. For 30 years, our truest hero has protected us with his super strength and sacrificed so much of his raw power for our safety. To quote from Anonymous, 'He had a dream to be our symbol. He never let his dream get the better of him or be lost. All Might kept a safe grip on it and went Plus Ultra with it.' And now, we shall go Plus Ultra with what we offer for the hero. This is Daikaku Miyagi reporting from the city's square and the to-be-opened museum."
The news report was cut off by the phone turning off by the owner. The hero laught as a response to the report.
"Wow! These news stations sure know how to make the most wonderful of days seem cliche!" The hero laughed as she wiped a tear out of her eye. The woman had turquoise colored hair that almost matched with her dark green eyes. She wore a sleeveless blue shirt and baggy shorts with orange and green striped. The pants matched with her orange bandana and her belt matched with her personality.
"You know that was my quote they read out, right?" A voice beside her questioned. Her eyes widened at the fact and she slowly turned to him. She saw her ally sit at the edge of the building, watching the citizens mingle down below. His long hair hid most of his face along with his long binding cloth. His greenish jumpsuit was slightly loose and the only tight area was his belt that contained a few capsules on them. What he used them for was unknown. Might have to do with the eye drops that he usually carries around.
This underground hero may not be well known for his career, he was known for one thing: Eraserhead was the supposed boyfriend of All Might. Which made him an "easy" target for Present Mic.
"What I was trying to say was... These news stations try to ruin our day with their silly news! But they still have some hidden gems within them." She said while smiling widely.
"... Meh. Better save than I thought." The hero said as he stood up, the woman hero following suit. She skipped across the roof to reach the fire escape that was connected to the building.
"Come on, Eraser. Let's just have some fun! Maybe you'll even smile today!" She exclaimed as she started to make her way down. The hero followed his ally to the fire escape but stopped and crossed his arms.
"Joke, we have to scout out the area for villains. Not get coffee and chat about nothing." He said sternly, seeing her stop and peek up at her.
"We can scout from the ground! Besides, there can be blind spots from watching from up here!" She exclaimed, waving her hand to motion her to follow.
He hates to admit it, but she had a point. There are some areas in alleyways that are hard to see from the roof. Begrudgingly, he huffed and began to follow her down the escape.
"You shouldn't have your guard up all the time! You know I can protect your from Present Mic!" She exclaimed, letting him pass her and start to reach for the bottom first.
"Hard to put it down when villains want to kidnap you all the time. Even if I'm not alone." He commented as he rolled his eyes. Like she'd understand what it was like to be the damoiseau in distress all the time.
"Well, you're not to blame for that! If I was All Might, I wouldn't let ANY villain kidnap you! Or maybe if I was at least your girlfriend-"
"Not happening, Joke." Eraser commented coldly. Which she responded with her usual laugh.
"Come on, Eraser! Gotta admit! I would watch over you and your well being! Like... the Red Face Demon watching over that astral projecting kid!" She stated.
Eraserhead breathed sharply at the commented, reaching the latter at the bottom of the escape. He watched that movie so he know who she was talking about. Seeing his response, she looked over at him and laughed again.
"That sounded too stupid." She said as she rubbed her neck.
"More like creepy." He said, starting to climb down the latter.
"I can tell by your face that's what you were gonna say. But you know I'd watch you like..." Her voice began to go quieter as he climbed down to the alleyway below them.
Eraserhead stepped off the latter and was about to step away to try and escape her rambling. But that was until he started to hear whipping sound behind him. When he turned around, a binding cloth that didn't belong to him wrapped around his mouth. Before he can react, he drifted off into unconsciousness. He was quickly grabbed and picked up before he can land on the ground. He was carried by something invisible and had a helmet placed on his head. The helmet activated and cleared it and him with an invisible cloak. The invisible individuals climbed onto separate things that were unseen and drove quietly out of the alleyway.
"... Look, all I'm saying is you'd be WAY more safer with me!" Joke's voice began to become more clear as she climbed down the latter. "Like in a loving way! I mean I'm sure All Might loves you! But you know I love you mo-" She went quiet as she noticed the alleyway was empty. Even though she knew Eraserhead should've been there.
"Eraser? Eraser Waser?"
In Tartarus, the warrant that spoke to Present Mic was walking down one of the cell corridors, making sure everyone was in their place.
Right under his nose, the ring he wore opened up and a small scanner revealed itself. A bright yellow light poured out and scanned the unexpecting warrant. He noticed the light and looked around for a moment to find the source. Thinking it was just a light glare, he continued looking ahead. The scanner retreated into the ring and one of the music notes glowed. With an automatic click, the warrant was unknowingly cloaked with a visual depiction of Present Mic. The villains witnessed this and stared at "Present Mic" with confusion and awe.
"Present Mic" noticed two guards playing cards with one of the prisoners.
"Get back to work." He demanded to them, passing by the guards. "The city pays you to protect. Not play."
Shocked by the sight of Present Mic outside of his cell, they dashed to their feet and charged at the man.
"Woah, what's wrong? It's me-AHH!!" He exclaimed as he was suddenly gazed by the two guards. "Present Mic" fell backwards from the shock and the two guard grabbed him, dragging him in the direction of his holding cell.
They arrived after a few minutes. They had to tase "Present Mic" a few times as he continued to regain consciousness, claiming he was a warrant.
The guards demanded the other guard of the cell to open the door. Without hesitation, the man opened the cell. The two guards dragged the "villain" into the cell. Curiously, the third villain followed them in.
Unknown to them, the real Present Mic was hidden under his cell bed. As the guards lied the fake Present Mic on the bed, the real one grabbed the warrant's hand and pulled off the ring. He quickly crawled out of the bed and made his way for the door.
With the ring gone, the cloak wore off and the real man was revealed behind it which shocked the guards. "He tricked you, you idiots!"
"Sure were right, old man." He stated, pressing a button on the ring. Which released a cloak over Present Mic and made him look like the old warrant. "Villany does run in my genes."
He laughed menacingly as he left the cell, shutting the door behind him. The guards and warrant watched the now free villain leave with disgruntled and frightful faces. The Symbol of Chaos was free once again.
Outside of the cell, the prison was on lockdown. Guards were searching around for the roaming villain. But with the cloak, he managed to slip by with ease. Even passing by the security check with no issues. Once he reached outside the cell, he witnessed an invisible device stop in front of him and decloak itself.
Mic saw one of his faithful listeners on their special motorbikes. Her real name was Kyoka Jiro but her villain name was Earphone Jack. She wore a leather coat similar to Present Mic's. But hers was more darker and has purple spiked shoulder that matched with her headphones. Jack also wore a spiked collar and bracelets that went with their theme of musical villany. Her earphone jacks also had amplifiers on them that read HAGE on them like it read on Present Mic's headphones.
"Wow, you're actually looking younger." She commented, moving to the back to make room for him.
"And feeling as alive as ever, my lovely listener." He stated with a chuckled as he hoped onto the front of the bike. She rolled her eyes in response, holding onto her boss.
He revved up the engine and began to speed down the bridge quickly, decloaking himself from his disguise. She disconnected one of her jacks from her amplifier and connected it to the muzzle he still wore on his face. She activated her quirk that sent vibrations through the muzzle. Which caused the muzzle to overload and break down. Mic quickly tossed away the now damaged muzzle and threw it away.
"I knew I could count on my listeners to go through with the plan!" He exclaimed as he smiled widely. Jack shrugged as she connected her jack back to the amplifier.
"Eh, it's what we do as villains. Now let's punch it already." She stated. He chuckled in response and reactivated the motorbike's invisibility cloak.
