A/N: Sorry for the wait, got a new shift, a relationship, moved out, and might be getting a promotion this week. Also my job was one of the ones that got busier with this whole pandemic.
Yaoyorozu Momo was many things. Prim. Proper. Eloquent. Graceful. Mature. One thing she was not however, was short. At 178 cm, she stood over even most men her age. The lounge she was in however, certainly made her feel small.
"What could warrant six meter tall ceilings?
The door itself was weird too, the large glass window surrounding the door looked like it had hinges on it. Looking around the room though she didn't see anything that looked like it would need such a large doorway that wouldn't fit through the doors.
"It is obviously designed for something of incredible size. Perhaps it was-"
"Woooaaaah! This place is HUGE!"
Yaoyorozu Momo did not eep. Was she startled, maybe even surprised? Most certainly, but members of the Yaoyorozu family were too elegant to 'eep'.
Whipping (calmly and gracefully) around, all Momo she could see was the color pink. The pink figure shifted hues to a light purple.
"Errrr, ehehehe... Sorry about that, didn't mean to scare you. But I mean like, look at how big this place is!" The pink-purple girl flailed her hands excitedly, gesturing in random directions.
Placing her hand across her chest to calm her heartbeat, Momo took a steadying breath.
"Your apology is unneeded, but appreciated nonetheless. I must admit, this place is... abnormally large in size for a common room." Bowing slightly, she continued, "I'm Yaoyorozu Momo, and what, may I ask, is the name of my apparent dorm mate?"
Balancing on the heels of her feet and rocking back and forth at an unsettling speed, the pink blur smiled excitedly, pausing mid-rock before quickly bowing back.
" I'm Ashido Mina! Super cool to meet you Yaomomo!" Mina put her hands on her hips and beamed at Momo, giving her a good look at the girl's black sclera and golden irises.
Momo took a step back. "Yao...Yaomo—"
A sudden movement outside the window caught her eye. What she first assumed to be a smudge on the glass quickly expanded to become a swirling vortex easily fifteen feet in the air a short jog from the dorm.
"Hey uh, you ok? ...Do you not like the nickname? I thought it was cute! I'm sorry for being rude… Oh man I'm totally blowing our first impression... It's just I'm so crazy excited to be at UA and to be a hero and make new friends and this place is so cool and I jus— What are you looking at?"
As Mina spun around she too saw the green dot in the blue sky.
"Ooooh that looks fun! Let's go check it out!"
Sprinting out the door with her endless energy, Mina led the charge as Momo calmly followed, curious as to what was going on as well.
Momo arrived just in time for Mina to make a mad scramble out from under the portal as a figure seemed to attempt to step out and walk on air before quickly failing, flailing, and falling.
"OHMYGODIFORGOTABOUTTHESEALEVELDIFFERE-"
Shockwaves from the crash briefly passed through the two women's bodies, kicking up a small dust storm .
As the dust cleared, Momo was greeted by the sight of a blonde girl with horns rubbing her... tail? The girl groaned and stirred against a massive green bush that had travelled with her.
"Dang it Zuzu, that hurt! You know I hate landing on my tail!"
Momo glanced at her pink compatriot, who didn't seem to react to the woman's shout. Momo's english was passable, but she wasn't sure who the woman was talking to before the shrub started to shift.
"Is this how my classmates felt when they had to look up at me?" Momo stared up at the mountainous horned figure she'd previously confused for a bush.
Mina eyed the horned figure up and down, "I mean, I know guys tend to be horny but most usually aren't so obvious about it." Mina couldn't help but giggle, catching the horned pair's attention.
The blonde rubbed her head as she gave Mina a confused glance before looking up at the large boy with wide, innocent eyes.
"What did she say?"
"I'll uh, tell you later." The blush on his face renewed Mina's giggles. Casting a quick glance at her, Momo was reminded of the teasing gossips from her old schools with the mischievous glint she had in her eyes.
Juvenile puns aside, these were clearly new students and Momo certainly not forget her manners now. Ignoring Mina and taking a step forward, Momo politely bowed towards the English-speaking pair.
"Greetings, I am Yaoyorozu Momo, are the two of you alright? That looked to be quite some fall."
The blonde quickly shot up from the ground, rocking back and forth on her hooves before she seemed to realize something and awkwardly bowed back.
"I, uh, yes we're fine! Izu-nii broke my fall. He's a big.. Uhh.. Umm... Mushy?" The blonde spoke as much with her hands as she did with her voice, Japanese clearly wasn't her first language but Momo appreciated the effort.
"Softy," the boy-mountain's voice cut in.
"-Softy, inside and out!" The blonde girl beamed and jabbed lightly at the boy's thigh.
Grunting, the boy rolled forward before standing up in a surprising show of agility for someone of his size.
The enormous boy bowed, dwarfing Mina and Momo, casting them in midday shade. "I'm Midoriya Izuku, and this" —he gently poked the blonde girl's horns, causing her to swat his large finger away— "is Tsunotori Pony. Forgive us for any language mistakes, Japanese is Pony's second language and I'm rusty." Pony nodded eagerly and beamed a smile at Momo.
Mina's eyes seemed to sparkle and wasted no time in rushing up to the pair and taking Pony's hands in her own."Oh. My. Gosh! FOREIGN TRANSFER STUDENTS?! Where are you from? Are you two siblings? What class are you in? What are your quirks?
Pony blinked, appearing deep in thought, seemingly processing the rapid barrage of questions. "We're from the United States! We live in Texas! Izu-nii is a great example of why we say "Bigger in Texas"!"
Mina took a moment to gaze at Midoriya's massive figure, before her eyes shifted downwards to Pony's admirable bust. 'No kidding…' Mina shook her head and perked up once more.
"Wait. Izu...nii? You two are related?!" Mina's eyes went wide, darting quickly between the pair. Momo was silent but offered an inquisitive gaze towards Izuku and Pony.
Izuku chuckled before replying, "No, we're not related but we grew up together and my brother thought it'd be funny to trick her about what honorifics mean and now she refuses to call me anything else." Pony clearly hadn't fully understood the conversation but smiled widely and nodded her head.
Mina giggled,"Oh that makes sense I gue- Wait. WAIT! If you aren't related but you've grown up together does that mean… ARE YOU DATI-" Momo quickly and gracefully clasped a hand over Mina's mouth and pulled her back from the pair, stifling any more inappropriate questions from the loud pink gossip.
Midoriya blushed slightly before looking away while Pony just blinked, darting her eyes between Mina, Momo, and Izuku. "
Mina noted he hadn't responded to the question Momo had prevented her from finishing. Mina smirked to herself, there had to be something there.
Bounding away from Momo's grasp and towards the pair she smiled. "Well either way, let us welcome you to Japan! How'd you get here exactly?" Mina beamed at Midoriya expectantly while Momo quietly observed, hands clasped neatly in front of her.
Midoriya held his hand out as a small gaseous portal appeared. Mina only blinked as Momo's eyes grew noticeably larger. "I can create portals that allow for instant travel. Well, if I know the coordinates anyways. Otherwise… This—" he gestured to the minor crater he and Pony had caused "—can happen." Tsunotori just laughed as Midoriya once again blushed and rubbed his smoky green hair.
Momo gestured a hand towards the portal in Midoriya's hand, "Midoriya, surely that can't be—"
"Legal? You'd be surprised." Midoriya flashed a small grin. "Nedzu gave us specific permission and approval for this. Though his directions were less than ideal…"
Momo lowered her hand and bowed. "Ah. My apologies, I am glad you have taken the correct precautions for such a powerful quirk." At least there was no threat of repercussion for the two literally falling out of thin air into campus grounds. Not immediately, anyways.
Mina groaned, "Who cares about rules?! We have so much to show you!" Spinning on her heels Mina put her hands up in the air and gestured for the pair to follow.
"Follow me horn buddies!" Mina giggled and pointed to her own, modest, pair of horns. "Name's Ashido Mina but please, call me Mina!"
Izuku had only met two of them, but he liked his fellow hero course students so far. Their small group headed towards the same building due to classes 1A and 1B sharing a dorm. Momo had explained that since there were only 40 hero class students in the whole school it made logistical sense to have them all in one location.
"So which class are you two in? I'm in A, Pony's in B."
Momo pressed her hand against her chest, drawing Izuku's eyes to her… assets before he forced himself to look forward to the dorm building. Completely missing the fact Pony copied his actions with them both sporting minor blushes. A fact Mina did not miss.
"I was assigned to 1-A as well."
Mina spun on her heels to walk backwards as she led from the front of the group.
"No way! Me three! Wonder what the rest of the class is gonna be like. I'm kinda worried I'm gonna be the shortest one in my class at this rate!"
She made a mock pout towards Pony.
"Why couldn't you be in 1-A, then we could be horn-buddy classmates!"
Pony made a show of sticking her tongue out even as she fought off a grin. Stopping at the entrance to the dorm Mina made a grand gesture. "Ta da! Here we are, the hero class dorm!" The outside was adorned with enormous tinted glass walls that blended seamlessly together, making for an impressive display.
Smiling at her antics, Izuku attempted to rest against the wall only for it to open up as he did so, sending him to the ground face first causing his second dust storm of the day. Who could have guessed this glass wall was actually a pair of double hinge doors. Face down between his classmates and Pony, Izuku took a moment to regain his senses.
"Hello again ground, I know we don't get to talk much but we've gotta stop meeting like this."
The assorted chorus of giggles from the small crowd was considered a win in his book at least.
"Good one Midoriya! Tell the ground I said hi, I haven't said hello in a while myself."
Lifting his face from the floor, Izuku's eyes trailed up the toned legs gripped tightly by black leggings before passing by blue jean shorts and a pink tee before landing the permanently blushing cheeks of a familiar face.
"U-Uraraka!"
Scrambling to his feet, he made a show of dusting off his pants to the gathered girls' amusement.
Pony eyed Uraraka up and down a moment, tilting her head slightly as her brow furrowed and a slight blush began to form.
"Do you know each other Zuzu?"
Glancing down at a red faced Pony staring at Uraraka, he quickly started to wave his hands.
"Y-Yes! I mean- No? I mean, kinda? We met at the entrance exam a few weeks back! She has a growth quirk like me so we kinda became friends while talking?"
"Oh I guess that makes sense..." Pony nodded, but not before turning away slightly, face darkening scarlet. Izuku had never been one to understand women, least of all Pony but Uraraka had clearly affected her somehow. Maybe Uraraka just had that effect on everyone she met.
Mina's grin was blinding as she took in the blushing Pony and the oblivious Greenstalk next to her.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Uraraka Ochako!" Ochako smiled, sticking a hand out towards Pony. Pony meekly stuck a hand out and quickly shook Uraraka's hand before shuffling behind him again. Pony and meek were not two things that ever went together so what could possibly-
"Ah, you must be Midoriya and Tsunotori!"
Glancing over Ochako and Pony, Izuku saw a muscular man (that reminded him of his neighbor's bulldog for some reason) stepping out of the elevator towards their small crowd in the doorway. Sporting a red and black jumpsuit with white utility pockets, he undeniably looked like hero material.
"I'm Kan Sekijiro, I'm the home room teacher of 1-B, and currently responsible for making sure move-ins go smoothly today."
After a brief round of formal introductions, Sekijiro nodded and smiled at the students.
"Let me welcome you to Heights Alliance! The girls dorms are on the right, boys on the left! Your names are on the door and if you have any questions, the phone in the kitchen is a direct line to the teachers' apartments. My co-worker Aizawa is… let's say nocturnal, and patrols during the nights, so you probably won't see him until classes start."
Sekijiro gestured to Izuku, craning his neck a bit as he did so.
"You on the other hand, we've got something more suited for your… 'physique'. If you grab your bags I'll show you to your lodgings."
Only now noticing the lack of bags for the two Americans, Sekijiro scratched his head.
"Where are your bags anyway?"
Pony perked up. "They're back home! Zuzu was gonna bring them once we found out where our rooms are! Though… I'm not sure he can fit in those elevators."
Chuckling, Sekijiro nodded his head towards the back of the building. "That's what I was going to explain. Midoriya's physique wouldn't let him easily fit within the elevator, so his room is here on the first floor."
He pulled a list out of his back pocket. "Miss Tsunotori, I believe you're in room 3C on the third floor. If Midoriya can bring your belongings here we have equipment for the students to assist their move-in."
"W-wait, here? Like right here?" Pony pointed down towards her feet.
Izuku grinned in realization, Pony's face flushing red before she turned and stared at him with her best 'puppy dog eyes' gaze.
"Hey hold on Izuku, y-you don't worry about that one thing, it's not that important!"
Izuku's grin turned maniacal as a portal opened on the wall next to the group, before he reached in and pulled and object out that barely fit in his oversized hand before gently handing it down to Pony.
"But whatever would you do without your little pony?"
In Pony's hands, now clear to the group, was a medium sized faded orange pony with a cowboy hat and three red apples upon its flank. As the girls cooed about the adorable plushie, Izuku quickly pulled through the rest of Pony's luggage and boxes before quickly making an escape following Sekijiro.
It wasn't until they neared the back of the building that Izuku saw the four meter tall door in the back corner of the hallway.
"Cementoss and Power Loader enjoyed the challenge of shuffling all the utilities on the floor. I think the other dorms generally use this space as a utility closet, but we figured you'd prefer a room down here instead of trying to squeeze into the elevator."
Swiping his teacher ID, Sekijiro swung the door in and gestured for Izuku to enter the modified closet.
"It should be in proportion compared to the other student's dorms. If they give you any trouble about it however, please let us know. Any claims of favoritism will be stamped out immediately."
Stepping in, Izuku took in just how barren the room was. Reaching up and stretching however confirmed his thoughts. Proportionally, this room was every bit as big for him as it probably was for most other students and their rooms. Cracking his knuckles, he opened a portal on the nearby wall and got to work.
