Have you read the stories by Phillipe363 who has done fics dealing with how Batman can treat the members of his Batfamily? Guess what, the man who recruited a street kid trying to steal the tires from the Batmobile (seriously that was how Batman found Jason Todd) is not the worst Superhero mentor of young sidekicks in comics. There are much worse ones, case in point...

Jennifer Walters the She-Hulk sulked on the plane ride that would take her home from Delta City, never having been more glad in her entire life to have a case finally over and done with. She represents all sorts of Superhumans among her cases as well as regular cases, so sometimes she would have to represent someone that she would rather not. Many Superheroes and Supervillains or just Super criminals among her many clients.

However no case had angered and stressed her the way having to represent Frank Bigelow the so called "protector" of Delta City known as Fight-Man. He had been popular a decade ago when fighting against the criminal underworld of the city ran by the masked criminal called the Hooded Eye, however starting with one controversial tactic to track down the Hooded Eye (enlisting a teenager to be his costumed sidekick), his reputation went down and it only got worse and worse.

After taking the case and looking over the documents...

She was wondering why this man wasn't locked up in the Raft long ago...

The man had no regard for collateral damage, city officials or the people that he saves, his hobby of taking souvenirs from the villains he beats to sell counted as tampering with evidence and it seemed that everyone in the city had a lawsuit against him. He seemed to be the sole reason that Damage Control has so much business in that city. It was a nightmare to even count and sort out the thousands of legal papers, bills and notices sent to him.

Most of that sounded amusing if you weren't involved but all the sidekicks that he enlisted and got them killed, it disgusted her especially with how flippant he was about it.

It was a miracle she had managed to get anything resembling a plea for him which basically had him on strict parole, no using his powers and no going near any children or teenagers. Even then, the parole would only be after him spending a few years in prison. She didn't waste time trying to argue for a possible few years off for good behaviour because fat chance of him accomplishing that. She pretty much told him the last time that they spoke that she hoped that she never had to see him again.

Jennifer wanted to so badly punch him through the wall when he asked if she could try for an appeal and then use her connections to put him on the Avengers. Sooner would Galactus or Thanos join the group than this bozo...

She got off the plane and intercepting a robbery in progress, she was in no mood to play games and took down the robber in no time. She left shoving the reporters asking about her recent case out of the way. She noticed hanging from the wall was her boyfriend Peter Parker as Spider-Man watching and she sighed, hopefully she could get all this behind her and relax with Peter.

She made it home and then ripped off her business jacket, ripped a few top buttons off her business shirt, untangled her hair, kicked her heels off and then threw her glasses away. She didn't really care if she had broken them as she goes through work clothes anyway from time to time.

She put the TV on while sitting on the couch, popping open the biggest alcohol bottles that she could find in the fridge and had the faint hope that she can get anywhere close to drunk. One of the few downsides that she finds in being a Hulk is that in the few times that she wants to get drunk, it seems that she can't.

Peter got home an hour or so ago and then sat down next to her, she sighed as she was still stressed about the case that was finally over and didn't want to bother him with the details of her stressful time on the case. She however did want to vent about it to someone badly.

Peter pretty much knew what she was thinking about and told her "If you want to vent Jen then you can do it..." Jennifer gave him a grateful smile and allowed him a minute to prepare...

"I had to deal with pretty much the most unheroic Superhero of them all, even villains pretending to be Superheroes like Mysterio are better heroes than he us! He doesn't seem to care about how much damage he does to the city that he is supposed to protect, he was more concerned about the bills and wanting merchandising deals! Though having a Fight-Man doll to vent my frustrations out sounds real appealing right now!" Jennifer pretty much yelled and Peter took it in.

"Yeah, Jameson gets on my case about collateral damage in my fights and rescues but even in my fights against the Rhino and the Sinister Six I don't even think that it would get anywhere close to his numbers. I imagine he now will be the go-to example whenever people will bring up collateral damage with superhumans from now on." Peter commented and Jennifer nodded.

"There was a bounty on all the criminals against Fight-Man with the citizens on the side of him being taken out and I don't think anyone could blame them. But the worst part was reading about the 15 sidekicks that he had recruited only to get killed by his villains..." Jennifer said now looking like she was about to go on a rage just like her cousin'.

"He took on 14 year old impressionable Kenny Liebman who was just a normal boy that the deluded buffoon took under his wing to be his sidekick. All the beatings that the poor kid got before what happened with the final battle with the Hooded Eye. That would all be bad enough but the idiot proceeded to take 14 more kids to dress up as his sidekicks only to get tragically killed. He not only didn't feel guilty about his stupid mistake but proceeded to repeat it 14 more times! No guilt or remorse, just thinking that it was a bad idea and only lamenting that it put his career on a downfall! The attorneys representing all those families wanting justice... I wanted so badly to have their job instead of the side that I was on..." Jennifer raged slamming her fist on a nearby broken coffee table that was only barely holding together with all the duck tape that was on it.

"With great power there must also come great responsibility, I learned that lesson but this Fight-Man jerk didn't care about any of that..." Peter said a bit bitterly, when he got his powers he was only a year older than Kenny had been when recruited to be Kid Fight-Man. He at least had his powers, he wondered that even if he did if a careless Hero recruited him for a dangerous fight that he should have stayed away from?

Seriously even Tony Stark wouldn't try anything like what Fight-Man had done.

He knew from Captain America that his young partner had been a teenager back in the war, Cap himself wasn't comfortable with him being trained for war but his superior had told him that they all knew there were soldiers who enlisted while lying about their ages. As bad as cases like that was, what Fight-Man had done was much worse.

"You are every bit the hero that he could never hope to be, even if he is much stronger. Glad that he will be behind bars working to pay off what he owes including his legal fees to my firm..." Jennifer said smiling pulling Peter into her arms and he smiled, soon she fell into a nap and Peter carefully managed to barely hold her in his arms. He took her to their bedroom and placed her in the bed. He then left thinking that she definitely deserved all the rest that she needs after that experience.

He kissed her head before going down the stairs; he had to admire her having to go through a case like that while managing to be professional about it. If it was him he would have quit near the beginning.

So Fight-Man debuted in his own self titled oneshot by Marvel ("because one shot is all he needs") which was a humour comic and would later guest star in Agent X who basically replaced Deadpool for a time due to sales decline. I actually do recommend checking out the oneshot either from Comixology or the Deadpool Classics collection that included it and his appearances in Agent X. The premise is similar to the Will Smith movie Hancock (an underrated one and it was actually one of the first movies I ever saw in cinemas, on an end of school year high school trip) though with more costumed super powers and the tone is more overall comedic and parody.

Basically Fight Man is a costumed over muscled 'hero' who lives with his parents and has great strength and flight. Any good will he has with the public is far behind him since he is a careless idiot who causes great collateral damage in every fight that he does, he pretty much had his entire city suing him and he shouts abuse at the neighbour kid who heckles him as he goes home. The idea for this chapter came in that thanks to the appearances on Agent X, this parody oneshot now became part of the Marvel Universe. One more thing: I hope you all appreciate me carefully writing this chapter not to spoil anything for you.
