DISCLAIMER: I do not own Sue Thomas FBeye or any of its characters, so if you recognize a person from this program or any other (I might put in a cameo here and there), know that I do not own them at all. All scenarios and people that you do not recognize, I own that, though they might be inspired from something else, but in no way is it copying them. If I am missing something in this copyright notice, please let me know!
KEY: Italics are a memory, and all caps is ASL. Sorry, some of my ASL grammar is bad. I only know some ASL, so if anyone knows how to properly say any sentences I write in ASL, please let me know, and I will change it to be how it should be! Also, I hate constantly writing about people wearing masks. So if they're in a public place, just imagine everyone wearing masks, please!
CONGRATULATIONS Roban05! Yes! A dog of course :) And I'm glad you enjoyed it! That everyone did! It was an unexpectedly favorite of mine, which really sets the bar for the season finale, it has to be really, really, really good! I sure hope I can write up to what we all have been waiting for for nearly 20 years!
TRIVIA: Who's Hailey?
?-?
"Happy New Year!" Jack and Bob said and signed as they walked into the Thomas home on New Years Eve afternoon.
"I think you're a little early with that." Sue said, chuckling.
Jack shrugged as they came inside. "Just wanted to make sure we were the first ones to wish you that!"
"Well, you're the only people we want to be with then that ball drops." Carla said as she walked into the hallway from the kitchen, a wide smile on her face. It was a slightly awkward Christmas with Carla and Bob getting engaged the night before, but finally, a week later, they worked out their kinks, and were acting as normal as a couple does when they're engaged. "I'm happy it'll just be the four of us."
"ME-TOO." Bob signed, then looked at Sue. "Did I sign that right?"
Sue nodded, smiling. "Perfectly." She said and signed.
Bob smiled, turning back to his fiancé.
"So, where's the games you promised us?" Jack asked, looking around.
The women laughed. "What's it with men and food and games?"
Bob shrugged. "We can't help that those are some of the best things in life!" Now, everyone was laughing.
"I set them up in the dining room." Sue said once everyone settled down, leading them to find the dining room table filled with games.
After sitting at the table, Bob rubbed his hands together. "You all get ready to be beat!"
"Oh, no, I'm not getting beat by you. I still remember what happened in '78!" Jack exclaimed, sitting down across from Bob.
"What happened in '78?" Sue asked, hoping she read it correctly, signing the year as well.
"YOU KNOW DON'T-WANT." Jack replied.
"Yes I do want to know!" Sue exclaimed, sitting at her spot, next to Jack.
"I do too. I want to know what I got myself into, saying I'd marry this man." Carla said, sitting next to Bob, jabbing her thumb in his direction.
"Well," Jack started, a smile on his face. "Me and Hailey decided we wanted to be the best checker players in the world. We practiced and practiced, and when Bob came over for Christmas, we thought it would be a perfect time to test it out. So we bet Bob couldn't beat us."
"Oh no." Carla said, laughing.
"Of course, they didn't know I used to spend all my free time playing checkers with my friends when I was their age." Bob said, waving to let Sue know he was speaking.
"And let me guess," Sue said, smiling widely at Bob. "You won?"
Jack nodded. "Every single time. We played, what, like 10 games?" Jack asked Bob.
Bob nodded. "Probably. They were so shocked. They thought they were going to win."
"So what was the bet for?" Sue asked.
Bob smiled widely. "Are you going to tell them, or should I?"
"I will. To save you from exaggerating!" Jack replied. "That year, we got absolutely no presents."
"Nothing?" Sue asked, shocked.
"Nada." He replied, signing NONE for emphasis.
"And I take it, if you would have won, Bob wouldn't've had any presents?" Carla asked.
Jack nodded. "We eventually got our presents, on our next birthday, but because we thought we were better than him, we wasted 6 months of time, not playing with our toys that were sitting under our tree! Now, I am very leery to play anything with him, especially if he wants to bet." He said, slightly smiling.
"But you agreed to play today?" Sue asked.
Jack nodded. "Because I have you and your Mom to back me up. It we all band together, we might leave Bob in the dust!"
Everyone laughed. "Well? What are we waiting for? Let's get to it!" Bob exclaimed.
"You're on!" Jack replied, grabbing the dice to take the first turn.
Mother and daughter looked at each other, chuckling and shaking their heads at what they got themselves into, hoping it wouldn't end up too bad.
