CONGRATULATIONS roban05: You got the timeline flipped, but since you said the episode right, I'll give it to you! The Signing is when we meet Troy in season 1, stealing cars and whatnot. I believe, though they don't really specify, Troy does some time in jail (maybe a few months. It would be diminished since he helped them), but Sue signs him up for some art classes when he gets out. Troy doesn't start working for Charlie until season 2, but The Signing is what I was looking for!

TRIVIA: When did Myles have experience in this kind of situation?

?-?

"It's simple, really, all you have to do is demand he paints something in front of you." Bobby said when they all had been briefed about their new case.

"It is not that simple. This imposter could learn how to paint in the same manner, therefore their painting technique would be very similar. Not the best approach." Myles replied. "Remember, I have experience in this precise situation."

Both Jack and Bobby chuckled, remembering.

"We need to make a ruse, something believable." Myles mused. "When we have this con eating out of our hands, we'll pull out our badges. Who's with me?"

"Wayyy too excited for me." Bobby replied, staring at Myles, fear in his eyes.

Jack chuckled. "Mya, see where this guy sells his stolen paintings, along with anything else you can find about him. The more we know, the better. Then we will decide how to go about getting on his good side."

Mya nodded. "Got it. What's his name again?"

"Uh," He replied, looking at the business card Troy gave. "The impersonator is Cliff Clemens. Troy's friend is Kris Brown."

"On it." She replied, typing away.

"How did we find out the imposter's name again?" Bobby asked.

"When the imposter signed up for the space at the gallery, they asked for ID, of which he gave his ID. He claimed Kris Brown was his pen name, per say." Jack explained.

Bobby scoffed. "Some con, using his real ID."

"Hey, it's better than me having to use facial recognition or something to try to figure him out!" Mya exclaimed, still typing away.

Bobby considered this. "That's true. Makes it easier for us."

"If only all criminals were stupid!" Jack said.

"Yes! Our job would be so much easier!" He replied.

About 5 minutes after Mya had starting searching, she had something. "Uh, guys,"

"I've got something." She replied.

"What is it?" Jack asked, coming around to see what Mya was seeing on her computer.

"This is from a Utah newspaper." She explained.

"Mmhmm." He replied, reading. "It looks like we will have to have a little talk with Cliff, but not until we get all our cards straightened. Sarah, can you call Salt Lake City PD and see what they have on Cliff?"

Sarah nodded. "Of course."

"The rest of us, start digging! There's more to this story. Let's find it!"

?-?

"What's that?" Sue asked, seeing the bag as Jack walked into the house later that evening.

"FOR YOU." Jack signed, then reached into the bag, pulled out a box, and handed it to her.

"Cookies!" She exclaimed, seeing the contents.

He nodded. "Bobby and Darcy made them, and shared some with all of us.

"Really? I will have to thank them!" Sue said before taking a bite. "Mmm, really good." She said once she tasted the cookie.

"The rest are for your team." He explained the other boxes in the bag.

"You mean they all aren't for me?" She toyed.

"Very funny." He replied monotonously. "Where do you want them?"

"You can leave them downstairs. But on the table, otherwise Sunny will find them!"

Jack smiled and nodded, then went downstairs to leave the bag, then come back upstairs.

"How is Troy's case going?" Sue asked when he came back upstairs.

"There's definitely something there, we just haven't been able to pinpoint anything just yet." He replied.

"You don't need anything, like say, lipreading?" Sue asked, smiling.

He chuckled. "NOT YET." He signed. "But I will let you know if we do. I know this great Deaf woman, she reads lips."

"Mmhmm." Sue said.

"Her name's Amy."

"Aw," She replied, swatting him.

"Ow!" He exclaimed, laughing. "That hurt!"

"That did, did it? Then how about this?" Sue asked, laughing. They had a little play fight.

"Alright! Truce! Truce!" Jack exclaimed.

"Giving up defeat so easily?"

"No, I just smell something really good." He replied.

She shrugged. "That's just dinner."

"Well if it smells that good, I'm in!" Jack said, getting up and walking into the kitchen.

Sue chuckled and shook her head. "Men."

?-?

"So Bob and I were talking all day today, and we decided to wait until at least a year after your wedding to get married." Carla explained as the two couples ate dinner. "It will be simple, nothing fancy, just our closest friends and family."

"But Mom, why wait so long?" Sue asked.

"Yeah, you're both not getting any younger, and who knows what will be going on in two years." Jack added.

"We just don't want to put a lot of pressure on you two, and don't want to steal on your day." Bob replied.

"You're not going to put pressure, nor steal our day! We want you to get married!" Sue exclaimed.

"When were you thinking we would?" Carla asked her daughter.

Sue shrugged. "I don't know, October maybe?"

"You think that's OK?" She asked.

The younger couple nodded. "Definitely." Jack replied. "The biggest thing we want is for you two to be happy."

Carla smiled widely and put her arm through Bob's. "I am very happy, just being here."

Bob smiled at her. "Me too."

Sue and Jack smiled too. "It's settled, then. October." She confirmed.

"Hudson." Jack said into his phone, which was ringing. As he was listening to the person on the other line, he smiled. "Great, thanks." He said, then hung up and turned to Sue. "Mya just found the perfect reason to bring Cliff in."

Sue smiled, happy they had hope for the case.
