May they all Rest in Peace and I hope for the best for their friends and family.

Peter Parker was a bit afraid when he had arrived in Los Angeles, California; he would to be honest feeling better if he was here on work business or even Spider-Man business. He would be meeting with Morris Walters a retired police sheriff and the father of his fiancée Jennifer Walters. They had met before and Peter could tell that Walter had his eye on him and he was nervous about meeting him again.

They had recently gotten engaged and he had wanted to meet with him again to gain his approval. He straightened himself up as he knocked on the door and it was answered by the aged Mrs Louise Grant-Mason-Walters who was Morris's wife and Jennifer's stepmother. Funny enough a really long time ago she had been the masked private detective and vigilante known as the Blonde Phantom. One of those masked crimefighters that time forgot when people like Iron Man and Thor started to appear.

Louise enthusiastically let him in when Peter said that he had wanted to see Morris and she led him to the living room where there was the aged Morris stood there. "If you wanted to talk to me about you and Jennifer, she already told me on the phone. It's really old fashioned for me thinking of it but I remember the times when you asked for the father's blessing before you propose." Morris told Peter as he sat down on the couch and Peter smiled sheepishly as Louise left them to it.

"So sorry Mr Walters sir, your daughter really means a lot to me and I promise that I will take care of her..." Peter told Morris and he laughed humourlessly. He grew nervous as Morris faced him.

"You know how long I spent worrying over my family? My nephew spent most of his life on the run as a green monster before turning it around as a founding Avenger. My daughter lives the celebrity lifestyle while not only risking her life as a Superhero but she feels that she needs to be green to be confident enough in herself to go through her days." Morris said shaking his head before sighing. "My fault really..." Morris remarked as Peter grew confused.

"How could it be your fault Mr Walter? You raised a wonderful woman who I want to spend the rest of my life with. She took what has happened with her and rolled with it, she continues helping people with punches and in the courtroom." Peter told Morris and he sighed once more.

"Jennifer must have told you about Nicholas Trask, hasn't she?" Morris asked and Peter knew too well, a LA crime boss who had crossed Morris in his time as a sheriff. An attempt on Jennifer to get to him lead to her needing the blood transfusion from Bruce Banner that gave her the She-Hulk powers.

"Trask was my problem but it became a family problem, I keep wondering if something happens to her fighting some Villain and it would be my fault for putting her on the path. I almost lost my daughter and it could lead to losing her again..." Morris said as Peter put a hand on his shoulder. He thought of the ones that he had lost in life and the times that he almost lost Aunt May.

"You didn't know what would happen, Trask was a criminal and it was on him that he decided to take it out on your family. Take it from me; it does no good blaming yourself for things out of your control as I have certainly done a lot of it myself. Jennifer knows what she is doing in her life and you should be proud of your daughter." Peter told him smiling and Morris gave him a look.

"I never said that I wasn't, just worried is all." Morris told him and then smiled at him, "you're a good man Parker. In or out of your spandex suit, i beleive you will look out for her even if she never needs someone looking out for her. Just promise me that you will do better in protecting the family that you build with her because you might not be so lucky in not losing them." Morris told Peter and he gave a thumbs up in return.

Peter was happy so with Aunt May already in the know, it seems letting the parents know was a success. Now he needed to find a way to break it to Bruce, you know the Hulk...

Then came in Louise on the phone and said "Peter, Jennifer is on the phone. She wanted to talk to us and I told her about you having arrived, why did she think you were out of town for an investigation?" Morris gave Peter a look as he was in panick form. Going out of town for an investigation related to something that he found as Spider-Man was his excuse to Jennifer for going to see her father. He knew that she would insist on coming along to talk together but Peter wanted to do this alone.

This was a stupid plan that he should have realised was horrible, Morris budged Peter to try and not weasel out of it as Louise gave him the phone. Jennifer's voice was unnaturally calm as she told him that she wanted to see him as soon as he was back home in New York...

Edited this chapter after posting to put in Bobby Brown Jr since I forgot until after the chapter was posted. Sorry about that.
