Peter was anxious, nervous and excited all at once, it was to be the day that he would be getting married to Jennifer. It would be all official and legal; unlike that time when Jennifer played along with being AIM's prisoner and to be MODOK's bride to buy SHIELD and the Avengers enough time to rescue their hostages and Peter and Jennifer were standing together as AIM's priest got up to pronounce them man and wife.

Jennifer played it for all it's worth and Peter happy to have his girlfriend back played along with it for the rest of the week. Now it would be all this time.

He was standing at the altar with his best man and former bully Eugene 'Flash' Thompson (the fact that he and Flash were on good terms now seemed more unbelievable than him marrying Jennifer. In the crowd included his colleagues at Horizon, people from FEAST, his friends and Superhero allies (including Bruce Banner of course) in their civilian lives. The Davis-Morales family was there with Miles his mentee who would be acting as New York's only Spider-Man from today until they get back from their honeymoon. There was J. Jonah Jameson (Peter was surprised that he accepted the invitation) and Robbie Robertson, plus Aunt May in the front row looking so proud of Peter. There were also friends and colleagues of Jennifer at her law firm.

Outside there were security keeping past the crowd and paparazzi wanting details on the wedding of the famous She-Hulk.

Peter saw Jennifer enter and walk down the aisle accompanied by her father Morris Walters, looking so beautiful in her wedding dress. Nothing was going to ruin this day for them, they got extra precautions. The priest started the ceremony and it led to them reciting their vows. They were pronounced man and wife and the priest said that Peter could now kiss the bride.

Then busted in through the door was several armored and masked men, Peter shook his head as most of the guests were alarmed except for certain individuals who knew of something beforehand. Peter smirked when he saw that Jefferson Davis was ready to wrestle the nearest men if they so much as pointed their guns at his family's direction.

Peter and Jennifer were more annoyed when one of the men pointed a gun at Peter's head and the leader came forward. "Listen here Walters, our boss Silvermane wants you to cooperate with our organisation and you better come with us or else we will shoot your husband and your guests. You might be able to take us on but do you want to risk the lives of your hostages. We have a gamma dampening bomb ready to go off if you're stupid cousin tries anything..." The leader said only to get angry when he saw that Peter and Jennifer were barely paying attention to him.

Peter knew that Jennifer had a case going on against Silvermane an old fashioned Maggia crime family leader who he had dealt with before as Spider-Man that was now going to her.

Jennifer gave a hand symbol and out of nowhere the masked men were being taken out by hidden SHIELD agents. The leader was startled and turned around to see the one aiming at Peter was taken out by the priest and Jennifer was glaring at him as he forced the leader's own weapon from him.

The men began fighting back as the guests were being evacuated by the agents, "I don't have my cousin's anger problems but when you mess with my wedding day and try to threaten my husband..." Jennifer said tearing off the bottom bit of her dress so it was now like her white her one piece bodysuits. Peter and Jennifer flashed a smile as a priest showed Peter out the door.

The guests were calmed down and explained what had happened; basically a protocol for SHIELD and Avengers called 'the Wedding Protocol' when one of the Avengers are getting married; to be safe there would be SHIELD agents acting as extra security to react if Villains interrupted the proceedings. Even the priest was a trained SHIELD agent. Peter didn't have to worry about trying to get away to become Spider-Man as it was all taken care of.

Jennifer came out as the SHIELD agents helped finish taking down and arresting the armed men inside the chapel, statements were quickly taken as Peter and Jennifer stood next to eachother. Once they were allowed to leave Jennifer tossed her bouquet of flowers away as they went inside the limousine.

Peter looked at Jennifer in her now altered dress and her legs in the fishnets and she smirked, "you can see all you want but you didn't get the chance to kiss the bride yet." Jennifer told him and Peter smiled as Jennifer leaned in to kiss him.

Peter wondered what was next for him and Mrs Jennifer Walters-Parker.

Part of this was inspired by Green Arrow and Black Canary's wedding where Black Canary tore off part of her dress to join in on the fighting when an army of supervillains invaded their wedding. Plus I thought of how many times it's used in Superhero stories when a hero's wedding is interrupted by villains so why not make it so that the Heroes have a protocol for it.
