CHAPTER 1: THE INBUILT HATRED

The sun was shining brightly in the sky. Birds were happily chirping and flying in delight. The same happiness could be seen in a white mare who was grazing freely on the steep hill. She slowly went on the top of the hill where a big Sakura tree was flowering all it's beautiful leaves on the ground.

Those pink flowers were slowly falling on the ground, delighting a teenager as he stood under the tree, busy in polishing his beloved Katana. He was wearing a light blue Haori along with a dark blue Hakama.

His shiny navy hair, tied in a ponytail, were freely ruffling in the cool breezes. His auburn orbs closed peacefully as he kept on rubbing his Katana with a cloth, making the silver object even shinier than ever.

Seeing her owner's mind fixated on the Katana, the mare's blood boiled in jealousy. So, in order to prove him that she still exists, the mare neighed loudly causing the auburn orbs flicker open on hearing his loyal companion's jealousy with a lifeless object.

"Don't you worry Sakura." He said with auburns still glued to the shiny silver, "I love you too."

The mare still wasn't satisfied and so turned around in order to show that she didn't like this kind of attention. This earned her a chuckle from the navy-haired.

He again diverted his gaze at the Katana, tracing his finger on a pattern made in it's center. It was a encrusted design of a dragon. The Dragon Katana was proudly radiating light from the sun, causing the warrior to smile at his beloved possession.

'Takao…Takao…'

His ears stood up in concentration on hearing the heavy voice, not because he didn't know who it was, but because he knew that The Great Dragoon didn't communicate to him for useless talks.

Takao had always been fond of that spirit, since he was a toddler. Ever since he met Dragoon, which no one believed that he actually saw him, but still his close ones knew and believed this too, he always talked to the spirit whenever he was in leisure or even when he was stuck in work.

People sometimes considered him crazy because no one was present in person near him while he was talking. Though now nobody dares to point at him with that word 'crazy', just because he had gained such respect by what seemed his bravery and determination in what he wanted to do.

Even though Dragoon never answered while Takao told him his daily talks, but still the boy knew that Dragoon was present near him. How? No one knows but he describes that he could feel a familier breeze around him when Dragoon was near.

'Takao…'

The voice repeated. Takao knew what had to come next. He kept his shiny Katana back in its holder, which was tied on his waist.

"Sakura!" He yelled as his loyal mare, despite being angry with him, came running towards him.

"Let's go," He commanded sitting on her back, "To the lake."

The mare neighed determined as she galloped over the hill and off to their destiny. Just then the hooves of another horse, a male one, approached the Sakura tree.

"Where is he?" A light-blue haired guy, a few years older than Takao, asked to himself in confusion. "He rests under this Sakura while noon. Wonder where this kid has gone."

Hitoshi sighed tiredly on thinking about where his little brother could be. "Guess I have to return home and wait for him. It was such a big news I wanted to share and here I am, trying to find my notorious brother.

"Your highness?" A young girl with dark chocolate brown hair and brown Zirconia eyes knocked on a big wooden door.

She was standing in a wide wooden corridor, with the high walls painted in white along with beautiful Sakura patterns on them. The ceiling was encrusted with leaves made of gold, with some diamonds and sapphires encrusted designingly. The door she just knocked was painted black with gold bordering and a picture of a big red bird, with fire and flames painted around it, along with some precious stones. Overall, the Japanese hallway looked as royal as it could be.

"Hmmn?" She could hear the heavy annoyed voice of the person she was trying to call.

"Uh… H-His Majesty wanted to t-talk to you in his royal court of m-ministers. Your m-mom is waiting there too." She stuttered looking at the closed door. "I-It feels like it's something important, you were asked to hurry."

She was expecting an answer, but knowing the prince's non-social behavior, she highly doubted her expectations.

Her heart stopped when suddenly the door opened revealing a slate-haired guy, sharply glaring at her with his Amethysts. The girl slowly gulped thinking what mistake she made this time. She didn't want to be yelled upon.

"How the hell are you a warrior with such meekness, Eveline?" He asked sighing tiredly.

"W-Well… I…" She tried to speak but thought to shut her mouth when he closed his eyes and folded his arms. Turning away, he walked into his room, slamming the door in front of her.

'Oh, Prince Kai, just for once, Please look at me the way you used to look a certain brunette…'

The royal court of the land of fire was beautifully occupied with gold pillars. The walls were also gold plastered. Many statues, artifacts and idols were also making the hall even more blissful. A large gold throne was occupied by a man, who was seated beside another gold throne, a little smaller one, where a woman was sitting. The high wall behind them was depicting the same picture of the phoenix-bird, but looked even more royal than the one on the door.

The hall was occupied with ministers sitting on two rows of big royal seats, with a pathway left between the rows, where the king and queen were sitting at last in the center.

Slowly, the grand door in front opened to reveal the slate-haired guy entering with a cold expression.

"Hail the prince of Hiwatarian Land! Hail the heir of Hiwatari Empire! Hail Majesty Hiwatari Kai!" The doorkeeper yelled as the ministers stood up in order to pay respect to the prince.

Walking through the long path, Kai finally reached in front of the two thrones and opened his eyes to look at his parents.

"What the hell is your problem?" He asked roughly to the king, or to be precise his father.

"Prince Hiwatari!" Susumu yelled angrily with fuming ears and glaring eyes, "Just because all this belongs to you, doesn't mean you can talk in such way to your father!"

Kai simply growled with eyes closed, trying to ease his anger.

"Please don't get angry, dear." Misaki whispered to her husband, trying to avoid another verbal argument between her son and his father.

It was just a week ago when the father-son duo bitterly fought over a certain topic, and Misaki really wants to ignore that topic this time as her son had locked himself up in his royal chamber right after the fight. It was true that he came out of the room today only.

"Father, how many times more are we going to discuss upon this? I am pretty sure that I am not interested in that Rulia." Kai seethed with eyes closed.

"Actually, It's Julia, dear." Misaki corrected her son meekly, as this was the topic she wanted to ignore but Kai himself brought it up.

"Whatever." Kai hissed having no problem talking in this way to his parents.

"Kai," Susumu began, "Julia Fernandez is the righteous princess of Spain, the best female warrior in Europe, brilliant in administration, god-gifted beauty and grace, in short, the best gift a 'To-be-King' of such a massive empire could ever have."

"Still I am not interested in marrying her." Kai said simply, eyes still closed and arms crossed, his anger a little controlled by now.

"Huh!" Susumu exhaled tiredly, massaging his temples, he answered, "Let's just bother about this later, Hiwatari-Kun. What I wanted to tell you was something else."

"Hummn." Kai signaled he was listening.

"It's about, Boris Balkov." Susumu said hissing.

"What?" Kai's eyes shot open on hearing the name.

"It's just, guess I will explain the whole story to you later. What I wanted to say was that, The Tachibana Empire is in great danger."

'Tachibana…' The name echoed in his head, he didn't want to revive those olden memories now. Those memories were nothing but haunting lifeless moments for him. What he thought was friendship and love, actually turned out to be nothing but a spell.

"Boris' army is going to attack their empire any second, thus, Emperor Tachibana wants us to provide home to his daughters, until the war stops." Susumu said, "Please Kai, forget the past and behave when she will be here. I don't want to upset my best friend's daughter."

'Behave? Even after what happened? Not at all. I am going to do what I was supposed to do a lot earlier.' The Amethyst owner thought over and over again.

The strong hooves of the white mare galloped over the land as they finally reached their destination. Takao swiftly jumped off the mare and looked forward. It was a cave covered with long branches of a climber, making it impossible to justify that the climber was hiding a secret passage behind them.

He moved the branches aside with his hand and looked in the dark and small tunnel, slowly walking into it till it's end opened in another world, at least that's what it seemed.

But it wasn't some other world. It was on earth only, but the difference was, it looked like heaven. A steep waterfall with pure water seeping from it was standing in a near corner. The water was getting collected in a lake full of bright and small colorful fishes.

The whole valley was surrounded with a cliff, making it seem like an open hall with a lake at center. Many beautiful green trees were standing there proudly. Fresh grass was kissing the ground, but at the same time, being fed upon by two deer. A few rabbits were also enjoying some other herbs.

Takao deeply inhaled in the sweet fresh air, feeling all his anxiety fade away. Slowly, he stepped into the still lake, looking at the bright fishes enjoying the fresh water.

'Takao…'

The voice called as he slowly looked forward, very well knowing what was to come next. A cool blow of breeze blew against his face, making him understand that his partner was present there.

"Yes Dragoon?" He asked slowly.

'The future Takao… Your fate is going to change…'

"What?" Takao asked perplexed as he didn't expect this coming.

'Hiromi…'

"What the hell?!" Takao growled as he yelled upon the spirit, "How dare you speak that name in front of me?! I would rather be deaf than hearing this name again!"

As soon as he yelled upon the trustworthy spirit, he realized his mistake. He didn't do it on purpose, it was just that anger was never under his control.

"Dragoon! Dragoon!" He yelled, hoping that the spirit must not have left him on hearing such sharp words.

"Please answer! Dragoon! I'm sorry!" He yelled again, tears slowly building up in his eyes.

'No need for the apology…'

"Huh?" A wave of joy spread in his heart on hearing the spirit speak again, "Please don't leave me Dragoon…"

'I won't… But, remember Takao… The reason of this inbuilt hatred with Hiromi, will soon vanish in no time…'

"What are you talking about? Please don't act like you don't know why I am so… so, emotional about her…" He said as tears started falling freely from his eyes.

'I know Takao… But, you yourself know… you can't hate her even if you try…'

"I hate her… I really do… Believe me, Dragoon." He said tears heavily pouring by now as he tried to wipe them away.

'If you really do… Why are you crying?'

"B-Because I-I was… I was… She left me! All alone! Desolated!" He yelled crying loudly with his face buried in his palms.

'It wasn't her fault either…'

"I-It was… I will never forgive her… I-" He was cut off when a female voice interrupted.

"Is anyone there?" She asked.

Takao's face jolted up in surprise, not because of the voice, but because how the hell did the owner of the voice reach there.

This lake was unknown to the outer world. Why? Because this is the place where Dragoon resides most of the time. Only the Kinomiya family knows about this god-gifted beauty of the earth.

As Takao's mind was processing these thoughts, the owner of the voice slowly came out from behind a bush. The girl was around his age, with Cerulean Blue eyes and Golden brown hair tied up in a bun. She was wearing a simple white Kimono tied with a yellow Obi along with a Dark Blue Haori.

Takao sharply pulled out his Katana and pointed it towards the intruder. "Who are you? And how did you find me?" He hissed glaring at her while the girl took a step back in fear.

Mustering up courage she asked with a shaky voice, "Well, you look more interesting. Let's talk about you first."

Thinking this was a very smart answer, she moved a step ahead but stopped when Takao's grip on the Katana became tighter as his glare darkened.

"No joking girl," He growled, "Kinomiyas never attack girls, so, don't you force me to break our ethics. Now, spill. Who are you? And how did you find me?"

"I… Ahem." She cleared her throat before speaking, "I am the Chief Doctor's daughter, My father, is the Chief of all surgical and treatment Herbal medicines in the royal court of Hiwatari Empire. My name is Serena, and I aim to be a doctor in future."

Takao sighed lowering his Katana as he placed it back in it's holder, "You speak so much."

"You think so?" Serena asked sarcastically.

"Yes. Now do me a favour, never, and seriously NEVER, ever return to this lake, EVER." Takao hissed trying to look scary so the girl would take his warning seriously, but, to his own pride-shattering fate, instead of being afraid, Serena burst out into fits of laughter.

"Y-You are… s-so cute!" Serena exclaimed laughing madly, clutching her stomach as tears rolled down her cheeks.

Takao gasped in horror thinking, 'Those words… She used to say the same to me…' Old memories rolled up in his mind, memories he never wanted to remember, memories of happiness, friendship, love, but also, memories of grief, memories of hatred.

"Hey?" Serena snapped in front of his eyes, "You alive?"

"Huh?" Takao asked as he broke from his trance, "Uh… Well, That's enough. Guess I should get going." He said hesistantly.

"What?" Serena asked with a pout, "But we just met. There are many things to talk about."

"Like what?" Takao asked sarcastically.

"Like…" Serena said thinking deeply, "Like…Who are you?"

"It doesn't matter." He said darkly as he started walking out of the tunnel again to get rid of her, but being followed by the girl.

"So, let's talk about… Medical trees!" Serena exclaimed.

"No." Takao growled.

"About Herbs?"

"No."

"About doctorate?"

"No. I'd rather die."

"About lakes?"

"No."

"About Emperor Susumu Hiwatari?"

"No."

"About Hiromi?"

"N-" Takao stopped in his tracks. 'That name… I don't want to remember her… I don't want to remember anything!'

"Hey? Who's Hiromi?" Serena asked curiously.

"I-It's none of your b-business." Takao muttered under his breath as he looked downwards, his navy bangs shading his eyes.

"But I heard you talk to someone. He had taken that name." She said innocently.

Now Takao's brain filled with confusion and surprise. 'She could hear Dragoon? It's impossible! No one accept me has this power to communicate with him.' He thought twitching his eyebrows in confusion and annoyance.

"Hey?" Serena shook him by his shoulder, "Why do you zone out too much?"

"Uh?" Takao came back in the real world. 'She used to say the same. Why is this Serena reminding me of her again and again?!'

"Look Merina," Takao began, "I am really busy and it will be a lot more relieving if you would just leave me."

"First, It's Serena and not Merina." Serena glared at him, "Second, I am not leaving until-"

She was cut off as another female voice called, "Serena!"

Both the heads turned around to see Eveline running towards them in a hurry.

"What are you doing here?" She asked stopping in front of both of them, "And who is he?"

"I am a 'Nobody' and your dear friend is doing nothing but stalking me here." Takao growled.

Eveline sweatdropped while Serena gave an angry pout.

"Did you find the herbs, Sere?" Eveline asked looking at her.

"Actually, no." Serena answered sighing.

"Guess we don't have time to spend here." Eveline said turning away and walking, "Let's just get going."

"Hey wait-" Serena turned around to leave but stopped when a strong hand grabbed her petite wrist.

"Listen here." Takao said as Serena turned around, "Please don't tell anyone about this secret cave, Please."

"Which cave?" Serena asked with a chuckle, causing the blunette to sigh in relief that this secret will always be a secret.

"Hey! You coming Sere?" Eveline asked from ahead.

"Ya, I am!" She answered hurriedly running away behind her.

A big fountain was flowing in the center of a wide marble floor. On the edge of the fountain, a beautiful teen girl was sitting, merrily looking at the bright coloured fishes swimming in the collecting water.

Her curly brown locks were freely ruffling in the cool breeze while her glistening Ruby orbs were filled with happiness. She was wearing a full-sleeved white silk Kimono with orange coloured flowers on it imprinted on it. The dress was completed with a dark pink Obi.

"Princess Hiromi?" Someone asked from behind causing the girl to turn around and see her close friend, standing there with a sad expression. Her usually ecastic honey orbs were now filled with concern. She wore a simple yellow Kimono with a red Obi and white Haori.

"What is it Aylin?" Hiromi asked concerned for the red-head.

"Shall we begin the packing?" She asked meekly.

All her happiness faded away and was replaced by sadness. "Is it necessary to leave, Ay?"

"Yes. The Emperor doesn't want you and Princess Dew to get hurt. It's war, that too with Boris. If something happened to you, his Majesty would not be able to forgive himself." Aylin said sitting on the edge beside her.

"But I am a warrior too. Can't I lead the army this time? Dad says all the Tachibana Empire will be mine one day. Then why isn't he allowing me to save my mother earth?" Hiromi asked sadly looking at Aylin.

"I don't have the answers to every question of yours." Aylin said sighing.

Hiromi looked up in the sky asking, "But why only Hiwatari Empire? Can't we stay somewhere else?"

"Come on, Hiromi. It's for your very own good. You are familier with the environment there, aren't you? Besides, Empress Misaki loves you as her own daughter and Emperor Susumu, he always praises you. Talking about the Hiwatarian-Prince? I guess you yourself are lucky to even meet him." Aylin said slightly annoyed by the immature behavior Hiromi was showing.

"To meet Hiwatari Kai?" Hiromi said with guilt visible on her face, "Will he even want to meet me again? Even after what I did? I doubt if he even cares if I still exist."

"Stop degrading yourself." Aylin said with pity for the princess, "He would also have realized that it was just your own solemn mistake. Besides, I guess you shouldn't care for his reaction, I don't think he was that badly hurt by you. What you should feel guilty for is Takao." She completed with special emphasis on the name.

"Huh?" Hiromi deadpanned, "Why did you take that name in front of me? You know I just can't help but feel even more guilty when I remember how badly I treated him. I never wanted to do it on purpose. I was just a kid, so innocent and mindless that I believed on the false words which my mom told me. I never wanted to lose a friend like him. I don't know how to undo this horrific deed." She said bursting out into tears at last.

"Shhhsh…" Aylin soothed Hiromi buy pulling her into a hug as she cried on her friend's shoulder.

"I'm home, grandpa." Takao said tiredly entering his house. It was a wooden dojo, not so big and royal, but still a home for the family of three.

"Brother!" Hitoshi happily yelled running towards him, but on reaching near Takao, his expression changed into one of anger as he pinched Takao's ear forcefullly, glaring at his younger brother.

"Oww!" Takao screeched in pain, "What is this for, oni-chan?"

"For remaining lost the whole day!" Hitoshi glared, "It was such a big news I wanted to tell you and you went missing! Do you even know it's half-past-seven?!"

"I am not a kid anymore, oni-chan!" Takao growled as Hitoshi let go of his ear, "I can stay out late at night, besides the sun hasn't set till now. Stop acting like grandpa now."

"Did my T-dawg call me?" Ryu Granger came out of a room with a toothy grin on his face.

"Oh Grandpa, please save me from my brother!" Takao yelled dramatically joining his hands and tightly shutting his eyes.

"Just stop it Takao! Will you just listen to the big news for just once?" Hitoshi yelled annoyed.

"Okay okay." Takao raised his hands defensively, "What is it?"

"A princess is going to come over and find refuge in the Hiwatari Empire, till the battle between Boris and her land ends." He said in one single breath.

"So, why the hell would I care?" Takao said nonchalantly shrugging.

"Because, it's the Tachibana Empire. Hiromi-San will be coming here." Hitoshi said with a serious expression.

"Wh-What?" Takao stuttered with horror while Grandpa gasped, "Why the hell is this happening? And you! You are my brother, why the hell are you telling me this news so happily?!" He yelled angrily.

"Just because I can't see you this way anymore!" Hitoshi yelled with equal fury. "Ever since that incident, you have been hating Hiromi-San for no reason! It wasn't her fault, and I know it! She was like my own younger sister, having felt so guilty after what she did to you, she cried so hardly with her head on my lap. And you are asking me not to remind you of her?!"

Takao stood there dumbfounded with a sad expression. Hitoshi inhaled deeply after his outburst and calmly began, "Look Takao, I know you have been hurt, but why don't give it a try? Why are you thinking of forgetting what happened? Just think it all over again, and you'll see it wasn't her fault either. Please Takao, try to understand, I can't see you this way anymore."

Hitoshi looked over at his brother. Takao hung his head with his navy bangs protecting his eyes from showing the tears in them. "I-I hate her…I really do…" Takao breathed slowly.

"No you don't. And you know you can't hate her even if you try. Just drop this 'I-don't-care' attitude and think like the old Takao." Hitoshi said sighing as he turned around to enter his room, leaving Takao alone as Grandpa had already flee from the sight.

"H-Hiromi-San…" Takao slowly whispered as his heart felt warm on saying that name after more than a decade.

It was true. He was always angry on hearing that name, but after his angry outburst, he was heavily emotional which mostly lead in a downpour from his eyes. Why his heart felt warm on speaking that name, he didn't have a single hint. But he knew that maybe, just maybe, things can be sorted out if Hiromi really does reach here.

"Hiromi…" Takao whispered again as the tears finally poured freely from his eyes.

'You are so cute, Takao-Kun!'

'Why do you zone out too much, Takao?'

Those words from the mouth of his childhood brunette friend echoed in Takao's head. Despite trying so hard to sleep in the cold night of the Hiwatari Empire, his mind was travelling in another world, a world where he and his brunette best friend lived happily, until a spell of the society fell on them.

"Hiromi-San…" he whispered again which caused an unknown warmth inside his body, despite the cold weather.

"Hiromi…" Again, the warmth occupied him, making him unaware of the cool breezes which were entering in his room from the open wooden window.

As he slept on the bamboo made mat on the ground covered with a soft blanket, he was recalling those beautiful memories, but then again, no matter how beautiful they were, the memories ended in a horrific disaster he never wants to recall again.

"Guess I should sleep. Tomorrow is a big day for training and I know that nobody would be able to fight against me and my beloved Katana." He said to himself, trying to flash his toothy grin but it wasn't possible with his heavy heart.

"Goodnight grandpa, goodnight Oni-chan." He said to himself as they were not present in his room, "Goodnight everyone."

Turning to his other side, he closed his eyes and whispered, "Goodnight and sweet dreams, Hiromi…"

A single tear rolled down his cheek as his mind drifted into the world of dreams, thinking not to meet Hiromi there, just because he wished her 'sweet dreams' and his dreams were never sweet so it wasn't possible to meet her there. When he will dream sweet, she will be present there.

But he hated her, right? Or was it just an outer façade in order to hide his indepth feelings? Was it hatred? Or something else?

"TAKAOO!" Hiromi yelled as she woke up from her sleep. She was panting heavily, her hair matted on her sweaty forehead with a horrified traumatic expression on her face.

"Princess Hiromi?!" Aylin exclaimed sitting on the edge of the bed, concerned for the princess' sudden horrified antics.

It was half-past-seven in the morning with the bright sun already up in the sky, with birds chirping with delight. The Princess' Royal chamber was situated on the second floor of the Japanese castle. The glass made gate of the wide balcony was open, causing the cool morning breeze enter the room and calm the frightened princess.

"Hiromi?!" Aylin shook her which caused the rubies to finally focus and look into the honey colored orbs.

"Calm down." Aylin soothed, "Take a deep breath and tell me what's the problem?"

"T-Takao-Kun…" Hiromi stuttered still panting and sweating madly.

"What?" Aylin furrowed her brows in surprise, "Again? How many times will you dream of him? It's just increasing the pain, Hiromi."

"No. It was different this time, Ay. It was different, more horrific and heartbreaking than ever. I-I dreamt that we finally reached Hiwatari Empire. Everything was fine till I met him… Takao, h-he, when I told him that what happened was my own fault and I didn't do it on purpose, t-then, he, he said that no matter what there isn't any space in his heart for me, he asked me to just leave him alone and go away. H-He was hurt and so was I, b-but he said there is no place for me in his life! He asked me to forget about the past as he himself doesn't care about it anymore!" With that Hiromi broke into tears, crying loudly with her face in palms.

"Princess Hiromi…" Aylin said feeling guilty for her best friend, "Please don't cry."

"W-What if he really d-doesn't care about me?!" Hiromi stuttered still sobbing, "I can't live without him, Ay, I wish I could rewind the old moments and live the europhia with him again!"

Takao stood in a wide ground in the Hiwatrai mansion. It was nearly 700m in perimeter, with fresh green grasses on the ground. The ground was occupied with people of almost all age groups, practicing almost all weapons of warfare.

The area was so big that the people on the far corner could barely be seen. A batch of nearly twenty boys of age 14-18 were practicing sword fighting at a far distance. Some others were sharpening their arrows while others were practicing archery on the circular boards. Another batch was of the Katana fighters, where Takao had to join, with boys between 15-17.

As Takao went towards the Katana group, who were practicing their attacking skills, he heard a female voice from behind.

"Hey Takao!" The voice called, and he very well recognized who it was.

He turned around to see a hour-glass figured girl, a few months younger than him, with glistening lavender colored orbs and knee-length Cerulean blue straight hair, nicely splaying in the blowing air. Clad in a bright light blue kimono with a yellow Obi, She was happily waving towards him.

Recognizing her as his friend, Dash Iwata, whom he always called Kia due to a particular reason, Takao smiled at her which caused a light pink shade to make its way on the girl's cheeks. Chuckling, Takao saw the cerulean-headed girl to run towards him.

She looked at his attire, light-blue top with a dark-blue Hakama. Making sure she took in every detail of his clothing, she moved her eyes to his head, inspecting his navy-blue bangs splayed nicely on his forehead, and tied in a ponytail at the back.

"We're matching." She said giggling as Takao looked at her clothes and then his. Although, his were a dull, worn out and unwashed shade of light-blue, while hers was nicely washed and ironed bright Sky-blue.

"I don't think so, Kia." Takao said lost in looking at his dusty clothes.

"But still they are." Dash whined as Takao looked towards her and sweat-dropped.

"So, you wanted something from me?" Takao asked nonchalantly, his gaze fixated on the warriors who were practicing with their Katanas.

"Can't I just come and meet my friend?" Dash asked making an angry pout.

"Of course you can." Takao said, still not looking at her, "But there might be a reason for it."

"Oh there is!" Dash chirped, "His majesty wants to see you in his Royal Court of Ministers!"

"What?" He finally looked at her in surprise, "But why?"

"Who knows?" Dash shrugged.

"Okay, I'll go meet him." Takao said hurriedly running towards the mansion, "Bye! And take care, Kia!"

"Bye Takao-Kun." Dash whispered lowly as she looked at the retreating figure.

Takao and Dash met nearly a year ago when he saved her from a herd of wild buffaloes. Since then, she loves to spend most of her time around him, though never seeking the kind of attention she wants.

"Huh." Sighing tiredly, she started walking away.
