Chapter 61
Mustafar, Council of the Black Sun
Durga couldn't be more pleased with the progress they had made considering their campaign against the New Republic and he knew that he never had been closer to his ultimate goal: Ruling the Galaxy, along with his two powerful allies the rebuilt Empire under Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Sith. „Very Good Durga, I knew from the beginng that you would be a huge win for our cause and I assure you that the Black Sun will be back at it's full strength very soon." The holographic Image of Grand Admiral Thrawn said and of course he was looking forward to follow in the huge steps of the Emperor himself. Sooner or later I'm going to deal with you Skywalker and I will make sure that there's no chance at all that you will win this battle this time around.
Naboo
Luke had been sitting by his mother's bedside for quite a while now, but he couldn't really concentrate on worrying about the medical condition of his sister and mother because of the fact that he still was trying to make sense of that dark force visions that he kept on getting. The New Republic is in danger right now, as a powerful alliance of dark forces is trying to destroy this fragile democracy and that would definitely let the whole galaxy fall into another dark era. He got interrupted in his thoughts as his mother began to stirr, slowly but surely opening her eyes, then carefully turning her head a little bit around to face her son and said: „It's good to see that you're okay Luke, how is your sister doing?"
Of course it took a lot out of her to speak those few words, because she was still not back at a hundred percent but she surprisingly didn't feel that much pain as she had expected after some pieces of the memories regarding what had happened were slowly starting to come back to her. Maybe Luke had healed most of her injuries with his Jedi Powers and she knew that Anakin would be proud if he could see what a great man hiss on had become.
Luke gently held onto his mother's hand as he said: „Leia is also stable so far, I'm confident that it will stay that way and that she will wake up too very soon. „ He hated the fact that he would have to leave them here alone on Naboo, not because of the fact that he was concerned for their security that much, as he knew that both his mother and his sister could take care of themselves but he wanted to have them both at his side as much as possible right now, especially his mother who he had thought was dead for a couple of years. Like his father Anakin Padme apparently was also able to read Luke very well, kind of sensing by his body language that something was bothering him a lot right now, so after a longer pause she finally said: „That's good to hear, but I can there's something that you want to tell me and you can tell me everything, okay?"
Luke wasn't suprised that his mother could read him like an open book and he guessed that this must also be the case with his father, but he also kind of hated the fact that he couldn't hide anything from her. After he had thought long enough about what to say, he finally said: „There has been another attack on Coruscant and because of the fact that the current security situation has gone worst, the Council has ordered every Jedi to return to the Capital World of the New Republic."
Of course Padme hated the fact that her son had to leave, as that meant that their family time had been cut short before it even really had been begun but it wasn't like that this was something that she still needed to get used to, as Anakin had to leave her behind on Coruscant numerous times when he would fly to some far away planet to fight against the Armys of the Seperatists. „It's okay that you have to leave, I understand that and don't worry me and Leia will be doing alright during your absense but we will be certainly miss you a lot." She hugged her son right before he finally left the medical bay to head back to the Naboo Spaceport and make his way back to the Capital World of the New Republic.
Meanwhile back in the medical bay Padme sighed barely audible, kind of hating the fact that she wasn't able to do anything at this moment, even if she still wasn't in the condition to walk around much right now she wanted to help the New Republic so much and clearly never had been the kind of person who was able to lay in a hospital bed and do nothing. Of course it had been quite a while since she had fired a blaster for example but she also couldn't help but to second guess this argument, no matter how good it might be as she thought to herself: Isn't that maybe one thing that you never forget how to do?
She forgot about that for a moment as looked at her still unconsious daughter on the bed right next to her and thought: You really have become a strong woman, during the time I was away and it's so great that Bail has thought you so much, which has helped you to become who you are today and I'm very proud of you.
Naboo Palace, Throne Room
Sitting on her Throne at one end of the room, Queen Mairayn sat alone in the big Throne Room and she couldn't help but be worried about the future of the Planet: Was Naboo maybe on the verge of a new war against a new dark alliance? She really thought that the people of Naboo would finally enter a new Era of peace after the Rebel Alliance had been able to beat the Empire but that wish sadly didn't become reality in the end. During the Galactic Civil the people of Naboo had already endured so much pain, as the planet had been occupied by the Empire for quite some time and a lot of peaceful people had to suffer under the reign of terror.
Now they were apparently right in the middle of a war again after the attack on the Naboo Spaceport and one thing was for sure: Naboo is and never will be a planet that goes to war, against any of his enemies because they never had been the kind of people who saw violence as a solution for anything.
