This is one of my first fanfictions so please make sure to review and tell me where I need to improve. I'm always open to criticism so tell me what I need to work on whether good or bad.

This fanfiction was inspired by Ghost of the Branwen. The first chapter takes a lot of reference from there. So male sure to read that fanfic and check it out.

Honour To The Branwen

Birth was said to be a gift. A natural part of life. One of the most beautiful things a woman could hope for. She had only three words for them.

They. Were. Wrong.

Raven Branwen was a woman with dark waist length ebony hair with a set of crimson blood red eyes and right now she was currently wearing a patient gown. She believed herself to be many things strong, resilient, confident, cunning, and fairly beautiful. None of that could be attributed to her current state.

Pain was something she was accustomed to. She had fought with her life on the line more times than she could count. Fought monsters lesser men would crumble to, but this was a new type of pain even she was not immune to. Never did she imagine she would be a mother. The possibility never crossed her mind nor the pain that would follow suit.

"It's all right honey everything will be alright." Taiyang gently tried to comfort me. It sounded more like he was trying to reassure himself more so than me. He was a tall man with blond scraggly hair and a set of two azure eyes. He was a very handsome man and the damn reason she was in this Grimm forsaken place. He was her significant other, partner, teammate, friend, and currently her outlet for her rage. "Tai if you don't shu-"

"I can see the head." The doctor suddenly interrupted the two. "I'm going to need you to push ." What the hell did he think she was doing!

After what felt like weeks of toture her baby was brought into the world. "It's a boy." The doctor said placing her son in the hands of a nurse.

Soon she felt her second child beckoning to come out. "It's a girl." The doctor said already handing her to the nurse.

After all was said and done she finally allowed herself to relax and listen to the cries of her newly born children.

She could see Tai holding the girl. Wait... where was her first born?

"The boy's eyes are spinning." The nurse said frantically observing the boy.

"How… is that possible…" The doctor said to himself.

"What's wrong?" I asked seeing the doctor and nurse mutter amongst themselves.

"Nothing… it's just not everyday you see a child born with their aura unlocked." The doctor said observing her son. "It's even more rare for a child to have both their aura and semblance unlocked."

"May I hold him." I asked. "Yes of course." The nurse said as the doctor nodded his head along. Soon she held her son in her arms and her daughter soon followed suit. Her second child took after her father in her color scheme. She had Taiyang blond hair and a mixture of hers and her fathers eyes resulting in their purple colorization. Whereas her son was an exact replica of her; he had little strands of raven hair and even her famed scarlet red eyes. Speaking of his eyes she could see his semblance on full display as he smiled at her. He had three tomoe in each of his red irises.

"What are we going to name them?" Taiyang asked.

They both began brainstorming ideas, they both quickly agreed that she would name the boy while he would get to name the daughter. As they both mulled over various names Taiyang was the one to finally break the silence.

"Yang, Yang Xiao Long. What do you think" Taiyang asked with a smile.

"...I think that you just removed the first part of your name." She said with a deadpan stare.

"I did not, it just seemed fitting. I think it's a great name." Tai said sounding flustered. "What are you going to name him?" Tai asked staring at his son.

She looked down and saw the baby looking at her and she couldn't bring herself to look away. His eyes locked onto hers and she couldn't look away almost as if they were hypnotic. They showed no fear nor temptation; they showed more curiosity than anything. The starting contest was brought to an end when Yang let out a giggle reaching for her hair. Her son suin lost interests in her eyes and was aiding his twin in securing her hair trying to eat it.

As she watched him and his sister struggle futile attempts to get her hair. "He's been born with both his aura and semblance unlocked, I felt him use a form of hypnosis earlier. He will be strong." She knew what she would name him.

"Madara, Madara Branwen" Raven said aloud letting them all hear her voice echo across the room.

"What if something happened. The kids could be sick, or-" A woman said pacing around a bench with a dark haired man.

The woman had short raven hair that faded to red, pale skin, and a set of alluring yet deadly silver eyes. And currently she was frantically pacing around up and down the hall.

"Summer If you walk across this hall one more time I swear…" The man let the threat hang in the air.

"But Qrow….. What do you expect me to do while they could be in danger." She said, staring into his crimson eyes with a look akin to a lost puppy.

The man who apparently named Qrow was a man with jet black hair, pale skin, and a pair of eyes that were a rich shade of crimson. Ravens Twin brother.

"Summer relax" He said, trying to calm the distressed lady.

The woman released a sigh."I just wish I could do more to help..."

"Me to, but we would probably be more trouble in this situation than help" especially with my semblance he thought to himself.

As they waited patiently for the doctor to update them. They saw Taiyang walking up to them with a smile.

Summer seemingly a blur was already in front him asking rapid fire questions "How are the kids? Are they cute? What are their names? Is raven okay? Did it hurt?"

Qrow had to hold her back before Taiyang nearly fell over. "Summer let him breathe." The woman squeaked out a quick sorry before releasing her friend. "Is everything alright, right?"

"Everything alright." Tai said. "Although..."

"What happened." They both inquired, both drawn in by Taiyang's words.

"Nothing happened." He said with a smile holding his hands up "Madara was just born with his aura unlocked and semblance unlocked..." he said with an expression akin to pride.

"That's… so cool!" Summer said with awe feeled gaze.

"Madra, Madara Xiao Long. It's a good name Tai." Qrow said, smirking in Tai's direction. "What did Raven name the girl."

"It's actually Madara Branwen Raven named him." Taiyang said, correcting Qrow. "The girl was named Yang Xiao Long, I named her.

"Huh… seems like a Raven thing to do…" Qrow said ruffling his hair "Although… was Yang the best you come up with Tai."

"It seemed fitting." Taiyang said with his cheeks slightly flushed. Whilst Qrow and Summer chuckling at their friends' expense. "Do you guys want to see the kids or not?" He said grumbling to himself.

Those seemed to be the magic words because Summer was already dragging Taiyang and Qrow along to Raven's room.

Making their way inside of the room they could see Raven resting whilst holding the twins.

"Raven, you've seen better days." Qrow said casually dismissing his sister's glare.

"Rave, don't listen to him. How are you feeling?" Summer said, glancing at the woman's form.

"...Better than before." The twin of Qrow answered.

"Can we hold them?" Summer asked, looking eager to snatch the babies into her arms.

"...Here you go just make sure to hold her head up." Raven said passing Yang into the silver eyed woman's arms.

As the baby made her way into her god mothers arms her lavender eyes fluttered open. Slowly moving her tiny hands to Summer's nose appearing proud of her new discovery. If there was a way to let out a squeal that conveyed the amount of exuberance she definitely found a way.

Qrow observed as Summer played with the little blond bundle of joy.

"Qrow, here." The ebony haired man looked startled as his sister motioned for him to take both his nephew and godchild. "You know I don't do well with kids." he said trying to back away the child.

"Are you honestly that scared of a child Qrow." Raven prodded with a raised brow

"Raven you know tha-"

"Come on Qrow… you know you want to hold him." Taiyang exclaimed, backing his partner.

"...Only for a couple of seconds." He conceded.

Picking up the unsurprisingly light child he couldn't help but smile at the sight of his nephews gumless smile. "His irises have three tomoe, is this his semblance? Huh I think I could get used to being an uncle." He thought to himself.

"What does his semblance do?" He pondered aloud.

"We don't know what it exactly does. We know it's connected with his eyes somehow." Taiyang gently said scratching the back of his head. "The doctors are going to be running tests later to make sure it doesn't have any negative side effects."

Raven watched as her brother and partner discussed her son's semblance. "...He hypnotized me. He has a lot of potential, the fact that his semblance hasn't deactivated yet shows he has an enormous amount of aura. He has been around for the span of thirty minutes but I can already tell he will do great things…. Very great." With these turbulent thoughts she allowed herself to drift off into a blissful sleep.

The following days the doctor confirmed her growing suspicions of her son's vast aura amount. His semblance deactivated when he finally got tired, his eyes fading into her iconic scarlet lacking the tomoe that surrounded them.

Eventually Summer and Qrow had to return to their jobs as a huntress and hunter respectively. Both of them promised to visit them when they had breaks or intermissions in between their missions from Ozbin's task for them.

Within the next couple of days she was finally allowed to leave the hospital.

Raven was now back in fighting shape with keeping up her training regime. The month flew by quickly following the twins birth. She stood over them in the dusk at night.

They both were entwined with each other inside their crib,Yang clung to Madara in her sleep. Madara however was still awake looking at his sister before Raven started to walk away.

She paused taking a step back towards the crib and when she looked back it, Madara turned his head back to her with a happy smile…and the second time his semblance was activated.

Raven made a choice, then and there. She picked up Madara and started to walk away from the crib and into a portal.

She had spent enough time here. It was time to return to the tribe.

Returning with potential to become something greater, something no one would imagine to become in the future.

I want to make it clear that this first chapter was heavily inspired by Ghost of the Branwen so the beginning chapter looks a lot like it, especially the ending. Just so everyone knows I plan to take my story in a different direction than that fanfic so please make sure to leave a review on what I need to improve. This is my first time trying to write a story so I hope you enjoy it.
