The last bell of the school day rang out releasing everyone to their clubs and activities. Alicia made her way down the halls checking in on different classrooms as she went along.

The Movie Club was discussing Superhero Movies while the Glee Club were getting busy practicing for a performance coming up.

However, when she passed the Home Economics Kitchen she heard voices from behind the door. Confused, she checked her data book to see if the Cooking Club was meeting today. When she found out that it wasn't she carefully opened the door. The ceiling lights weren't on, but there were dim lanterns hanging everywhere.

Four girls in all black stood around a cauldron chanting gibberish.

"What's going on?" Alicia asked.

What looked to be the leader of the four chanted, "Into the cauldron we offer ivy and sage." She dropped the ingredients into the pot and watched it bubble.

Another girl said, "Bring forth the newcomer." From the shadows came a fifth girl who Alicia recognized. Her name was Tiffany Lee, a fellow Junior who was in Alicia's gym class. She had black hair with hot pink highlights. She was of Japanese descent, as it was clear on her goth makeup covered face, and wore a white robe. Her brown eyes were curved with worry. Overall, Tiffany wasn't the most outgoing girl. Therefore, she didn't exactly have many real friends.

"Will you, Tiffany Lee, swear allegiance to the Sisterhood of the Moon?" Asked the Leader who was raising her arms above her head in a mystical looking manner.

"Yes, Sister Molly." Tiffany piped up.

Alicia's eyes widened. That was Molly Thomas. She was a senior. Molly wore goth makeup on her face while her hair was dyed a shade of purple on black. She was rather tall and wore black nail polish.

"Welcome, Tiffany, to our coven of witches."

"Witches?" Alicia whispered.

Alicia whispered that a little too loud because the Coven heard her.

"An intruder." Said the second girl.

Molly said, "Leave it to me, Andrea. Asterik Asteros De La Luna." The door closed in her face and Alicia felt a force push her into the air and onto her back.

"What was that?!" She asked herself.

~Cue Theme ~

~Jared's House, Sunroom~

"More witches?" Noah asked, his eyes wide.

"I saw it. At first, I didn't believe it. But Molly Thomas said some sort of spell and sent me flying."

Asher raised his eyebrow in doubt. "What was the spell?"

Alicia closed her eyes and recited, "Asterik... Asteros... De La Luna?"

"I don't recognize any of that." Jared stated.

"It has to be some sort of hoax." Chris added.

"I don't know, you guys."

Sonia said, "Then we should investigate. You said Tiffany Lee just joined? Then we should go talk to her."

~ Tiffany's House ~

Tiffany's House was an average two-story house in the suburbs. It was painted a bright yellow and had a picket fence around it.

Jared, Alicia, Noah, and Sonia walked up to the front door and knocked. A petite japanese woman answered the door with a look of shock.

"May I help you?" She asked.

"Hi, Mrs. Lee." Alicia greeted. "We're friends of Tiffany. Is she here?"

For some reason, a look of genuine relief made its way across Mrs. Lee's face.

Sighing, she said, "Oh she's in the shower. You can go into the living room and wait for her."

"Thank you." Alicia said, giving a small bow.

The four uncomfortably waited on the couch. The Living Room was more or less normal. Pictures lined the wall, all of which had Tiffany and her family.

After about ten minutes, Tiffany came downstairs not knowing she had company. Although she was wearing a purple shirt and a black skirt, she wore no make up on her face which pretty much shocked the teens; she was always seen with makeup.

"You have guests, dear. Your friends." Mrs. Lee said.

Upon seeing the four, Tiffany's hands darted to her face. Letting out a cry of fear, she darted back up the stairs.

The Rangers followed her, but Tiffany locked herself in her room. Before they could do anything else, Jared's Wristband went off.

"Go for Jared."

Liam's voice came through. "We have a problem at school."

"What kind of problem?" Sonia asked.

"The athletic facility is on fire! And water isn't putting it out!"

"We'll be there." Noah said.

Noah and Jared made eye contact. Jared nodded and said, "Go." Nodding back, Noah super-sped away.

"Let's get going." Jared stated. As they made their way downstairs, Tiffany emerged from her room knowing what had happened.

~ School ~

Liam, morphed up, kept a barrier between the Athletic Facility and the other buildings. Asher and Chris were orbing in and out trying to evacuate students.

Noah arrived in a blur of blue and jokingly asked, "Miss me?"

"Missed your water powers." Liam answered, half laughing.

"All over it." Noah nodded. He created a sphere of water between his palms and let a blast fly. The fire decreased, but then grew back just as fast.

"Who's left in there?" Noah asked.

Chris answered, "I'm not sure."

Suddenly, a blood curdling scream pierced the air.

"Lydia and her friends are in there!" Asher said.

Noah nodded and super-sped through the doors.

"Lydia!" He called. "Lydia!" The smoke was everywhere. Even with his helmet, his breathing was uneven. He could feel the blazing heat grip his body.

"In here!" Lydia coughed out from upstairs. Noah sent a burst of water from his hands and destroyed the door in front of him. Seeing Lydia and her two friends, he scooped them up and said, "Stay behind me!"

Unfortunately, the entrance he made was blocked by fire. Looking through it, Noah saw a silhouette of a strange creature. He couldn't see it clearly, but his first thought was that it was a Phantom. It laughed a horrid laugh and the fire seemed to react to it. It was as if the fire was alive.

Noah fired a ball of Power from Within at the window in front of him, took the three girls, and jumped out.

"Green!" Noah shouted.

Liam nodded and raised a barrier to cushion their fall. As soon as Noah and the girls made it out safely, the fire died out on its own.

"Are you ok?" Noah asked Lydia.

"I'm fine..."

"What happened?" Noah asked.

As Lydia coughed even more, Jared, Alicia and Sonia appeared.

Lydia explained, "We were just using the treadmills when the fire erupted out of nowhere."

"What?" Jared asked in disbelief.

"Lydia!" Came a voice. Lydia's boyfriend, Spencer, approached the group. He thanked Noah, who was still morphed, and helped Lydia up.

"You ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine..."

"Let's go."

As Spencer helped Lydia get to the ambulance, Molly, Andrea and the third girl, Gretchen stood together.

Alicia noticed them immediately and crossed her arms in suspicion. Tiffany ran up to their sides out of breath.

All four were wearing rather large medallions each with a crescent moon on them.

"Cross us, and you'll be cursed." Andrea warned. With that, the four walked away...

~HQ~

"There's something wrong with that group." Liam said.

"You don't say?" Asher answered with sarcasm.

"Well whatever's happening, I don't like it." Noah stated. "I saw something in the fire. I don't know if it was a Phantom, but it seemed to control the fire."

Alicia said, "We need to figure this out quickly. I think something else is gonna happen."

Suddenly, the alarm went off and Tobias's voice came through everyone's communicators.

"We have a problem at the pool!" He said.

~ School Swimming Pool ~

Tobias was standing between the witch girls and members of the swim team. Tobias, who was on the swim team, tried to calm down the captains, Dan and Jane.

"Just let her go." Tobias said.

The captains laughed.

Jane said, "We don't want her here."

Molly stated, "So you admit you forced Andrea off the swim team because she was different?"

The Rangers arrived just in time to see the argument start.

"So what if we did?" Dan asked.

Andrea was staring daggers into the captains and asked, "Molly... may I do it?"

"Of course." Molly nodded walking away. Gretchen followed after while Tiffany backed up and bumped into Jared.

"Sorry..." She muttered.

Andrea began to mutter the words. "Asterik Asteros De La Luna..." She kept repeating this with while glaring at the captains who laughed as they walked away. Suddenly, the ground began to shake.

"Feel my wrath!" Andrea shouted, raising her hands. Blasts and geysers of water burst from the pool and whipped around. The swimmers in the pool were immediately thrown out of it. Tobias said, "Andrea, you've got to calm down!" However, a whip of water knocked him in. He tried to thrash his way to the top, but the swirling water blinded him.

From out of nowhere, Lydia sprinted across the ledge and dove in the water, succeeding in getting Tobias to the surface.

While Lydia took care of their friend, Noah and Alicia used the distraction to morph.

"Stop it, now!" Noah demanded.

"No!" Andrea shouted in pained fury. She whipped her hands forward and sent massive amounts of water at the two. Noah swiped his hands out and dispelled the water while Alicia tripped Andrea with a very weak wave of wind.

All the while, Tiffany said "Andrea has the power... If I stay with Molly I can be a witch too! The moon calls to me!" With that she ran away.

"Wait!" Liam called out.

"Hurt me again and you'll be cursed!" Andrea threatened as she made a ball of water explode into steam. When the steam disappeared, she was gone...

~HQ~

"Again, nothing in the Destiny Book." Jared stated. "How's Tobias?" He asked Lydia.

As Lydia typed away, she said, "He's doing fine. He's a little shaken up."

Chris said, "I've had enough of this. We need to solve this mystery now."

"I agree." Liam said.

Asher asked, "Should we split up?"

Jared nodded. "Alicia and Noah, go talk to Tiffany again. Asher, Sonia and Chris, can you guys trail the witch girls?"

"Yeah." Asher nodded.

"Then Lydia, Liam and I will try to debunk their secrets. Let's get to work."

~Tiffany's House~

"We just want to talk." Alicia pleaded. She and Noah were trying to get Tiffany to listen. The girl shifted away from them on the living room couch.

"There's nothing to talk about. I want to be a witch." Tiffany spoke while holding her hands in front of her face.

"What's wrong?" Noah asked.

"What?"

"Your hands? Are you hiding something?" He asked. He moved her hands and she screamed.

"You can't see me like this!" With that, she ran out of the house.

"Tiffany!" Alicia called.

"What's her deal?" Noah asked as the two ran after her. They chased Tiffany under a bridge where she tried to hide from them behind a barrel.

"We know you're there." Noah stated.

"Asterik Asteros De La Luna..." Tiffany kept muttering. After a few seconds, she felt herself energize with power. Suddenly, she was hoisted into the air by an unseen force.

"I can fly... I have the power..."

"No way." Noah whispered.

Smiling, Tiffany turned in the air, her back to the Rangers.

"You can't see me like this. I… just want to run."

"Run? Why?" Alicia asked.

"Isn't it obvious?" Came Gretchen's voice. She emerged from the shadows. "She doesn't want to associate with the likes of you."

"What're you doing here, Gretchen?" Tiffany asked.

"Protecting you. Asterik Asteros De La Luna!" Boulders rose from the ground and caught fire. She then launched them at Alicia and Noah. Noah ducked while Alicia jumped in the air. They proceeded to dodging all the projectiles, not wanting to expose any of their powers.

Suddenly, a surge of Jared's fire hit a patch of air. A girl let out a high scream which sounded familiar to Noah.

He then said, "That's the voice from the fire!"

The patch of air rippled and a Phantom looking humanoid dropped from the above. She had fiery hair and red leathery skin. She stood like an old demented woman and carried a brown broom stick.

As she hit the ground, Tiffany fell.

Jared and the other Rangers appeared morphed up.

"The jig is up!" Liam called out.

"We know your secret!" Asher said.

Jared explained, "All those incidents, Lydia connected them through captured footage. In each situation, that Phantom was there! She has the power of telekinesis, mind reading, and pyrokinesis! Why not expose yourself, Molly?"

The Phantom laughed and in a swirl of black energy turned into Molly.

"I guess I've been found out. Yes, it was all me. I've been using the powers given to me by a strange man to help my club members exact their revenge."

"So you've been using them to terrorize the student body!" Sonia accused.

"You got me. I've been using them as magical mediums to further my own powers. Now, I'm strong!"

She flew into the air and launched down fireballs. Jared met the fire with his own and the attacks canceled each other out.

Tiffany could only stare blankly at the fight that was unfolding.

"It was never me..."

"But it could be." Came a soothing voice. Slade appeared, holding a small orb that carried a Dark Spirit. "You can have the power too."

"Slade!" Noah stated. He and Alicia sprinted forward.

"Take it." Slade placed the Brace in Tiffany's hand and left.

Molly used her telekinesis to push the Rangers off their feet. She then threw Noah and Alicia away from Tiffany. As she landed, she reverted to her human self.

"Come on." She told Tiffany and Gretchen. They left in a flash.

~ A Dark Cave ~

Inside one of Bayview's Forest Caves was an altar. Tiffany and Molly stood in front of it while bowing their heads in a worship manner.

"The man has given you the means of power." Molly stated.

"But it… feels like dark magic." Tiffany said.

"That doesn't matter. Just wait a bit. Soon, on the blue moon, we'll perform our ultimate ritual. You'll bond with the spirit inside the brace and you'll have full control."

"Then I can say goodbye to this world." Tiffany concluded with a smile.

~Dark Void, Wiseman's Domain~

"So you changed the way it works?" Slade asked.

Wiseman nodded. "I've decided a different way of filling the Void Key. Instead of having the Spirits take over a human, I let the human take control of the spirit until the breaking point of emotion. Then it will all change. Their overwhelming negative emotion should help fill the Key to its maximum potential."

"I see... Let's observe and learn how this plays out."

~HQ~

"She wants to say goodbye to this world." Alicia told the others.

"Goodbye?" Liam asked. "Sounds demented."

"Guys, I think she's in pain."

"Yeah, I can tell." Chris agreed, with a sullen look. "Sometimes… you just want to disappear. And that thought alone consumes you. We have to save her."

"What'll we do, Jared?" Sonia asked.

"Alicia should go talk to her one last time. The rest of us will find Molly. It's time to end this."

~Tiffany's House~

Instead of going through the front, Alicia decided on a different approach.

"Etativel." She whispered. She then levitated into the air and flew over Tiffany's house; Alicia had a plan.

Behind the house, was Tiffany swimming in an in-ground pool.

"Tiffany." Alicia said.

Tiffany rose from the water and covered her face. "Again?!" She screamed. She tried to run, but Alicia chanted, "Dnuob ni ecalp." Tiffany stopped in her place.

"What did you do to me?"

"I'll explain later. Please just trust me. Why are you running all the time?"

"Running?!" Tiffany asked. Somehow, she broke out of Alicia's spell and went up to Alicia. "There's no place for me to run! Do you know how it feels to never be able to escape?"

"So changing who you are will help you escape?"

"It's supposed to!"

"Please just believe me! Slade can't be trusted. That Orb? Don't use it. You'll not only change your looks but you'll lose everything that makes you you!"

"So what?!"

"You don't have to lose everything you are... I have to show you how dangerous the powers of Twilight are…"

"How?"

"I'll show you my memories and things I've seen with my visions.." Alicia took Tiffany's hands and concentrated. Both of their visions flashed and they saw it.

A dark future. Pain, death, terror... Shadowlites, Demons, Vampires, all sorts of evil creatures lined the city streets.

"This is what the Twilight will do if they win. But, Tiffany... changing yourself never the way to go. You're beautiful just the way you are... You just need to be happy with you. But... if you give me that Orb and stay who you are..."

The future changed and everything was beautiful. Tiffany could see Alicia's dream vision family with Jared and how happy everyone around her was.

"This could happen..."

When they opened their eyes, Tiffany was crying tears of joy and relief. She nodded and said, "I'll get the Orb for you... I'm fine the way I am... No one's ever said that to me before... No one."

"Well, more people should." Alicia whispered hugging Tiffany.

"You fool!" Molly shouted. Above them, Molly flew in mid air. A crimson aura surrounded her like fire.

"You will be destroyed, Alicia!" Molly shouted with a half demonic voice. She pressed the button on her Brace and transformed into her Phantom form. However, Molly's real body, wrapped in an energy cocoon, fell to the ground.

"I will destroy you all."

"Stay behind me, Tiffany." Alicia said, materializing her morpher.

"Spirit Legend, Awaken!" Alicia summoned her bow and shot arrows over and over, however she missed each time. She then flew into the air with her X-Sword and entered a high speed fight with the Phantom.

"Give up, Alicia!"

"Never! Your dark magic can't beat me!" Alicia sent down a blast of wind and knocked the Phantom into the pool. She emerged and grabbed Tiffany and Molly's body. "Looks like we can't wait till tonight. The ritual will start now!" With that, she flew away.

Alicia followed suit while contacting her friends.

~The Caves~

As the Phantom threw Tiffany and Molly on the floor, she said, "I'll use this power in my staff to burn this whole city to the ground."

"No!" Tiffany pleaded.

"And you'll help me."

"I won't!"

"You will!"

Suddenly, Jared's voice said, "You know I'm no expert on ladies, but I believe Tiffany said no."

"You!" The Phantom pointed.

"Me. That's right." Jared dashed forward at a fast speed and grabbed the Phantom. He pulled her away from the Altar and threw her out of the cave where the other Rangers were waiting for her.

The Seven formed a circle around her and readied their morphers.

"Spirit Legend, Awaken!"

"Spirit of Fire: Red Legend Ranger!"

"Spirit of Water: Blue Legend Ranger!"

"Spirit of Wind: Pink Legend Ranger!"

"Spirit of Earth: Green Legend Ranger!"

"Spirit of Lightning: Yellow Legend Ranger!"

"Spirit of Light: Silver Legend Ranger!"

"Spirit of Darkness: Black Legend Ranger!"

"Ancient Spirits, Unite! Power Rangers Next Legend, Start Up!"

"Come and get it." The Witch Phantom challenged.

"Let's take her out quickly." Jared said. "Formation 15!"

"Right!" The others replied.

"Go!"

Chris and Alicia fired off with their X-Defenders, making the Phantom raise a barrier around her.

Liam then hit the ground with his palms and raised a platform of earth to knock his target off balance. Her barrier broke and Asher swarmed the Phantom with millions of lights. He then proceeded to raise her off the ground. Noah then created a vortex of water below the Phantom. Jared then jumped into the air and slammed the Witch into the vortex. As she was caught in the trap, Sonia electrified the vortex with electricity.

"Enough!" The witch dispelled the vortex with telekinesis and fell to the ground weakened.

"You're right." Alicia agreed. "Enough." She summoned the Legend Burst Cannon and charged it.

"Fire!" The golden beam hit the Witch and destroyed her. As the smoke cleared, the real spirit, a young woman smiled. "Thank you." She said. This woman had fiery auburn hair that was tied into two braids. Her ivory skin was complemented by her dark green eyes. She was wrapped in a white robe. "There are many many more Spirits who need to be saved." With a smile, the fallen warrior spirit faded away.

Tiffany emerged from the cave supporting Molly who was severely shaken up.

~ A Few Days Later~

"Is Tiffany out of the hospital?" Noah asked Alicia at lunch.

"She's over there." Alicia pointed. Tiffany, not wearing Goth makeup, was laughing and enjoying the company of new friends. She decided to join the Writing Club at school which spent a lot of time creating stories and poems. Her extensive knowledge of the Supernatural was a great asset to the club's genres.

Also, Alicia promised to teach her the basics of witchcraft. Although Tiffany wasn't a witch, she still absorbed the information Alicia provided real quickly.

Tiffany looked over at Alicia and the Rangers and waved with a bright smile.

They all waved back, happy that Tiffany was comfortable with who she was.

A/N: I really hope you liked this chapter. Yeah, it's another filler, but I always wanted to write something about people trying to be magical but just aren't.

As always, Later Days!
