It was Friday last period at Caroban Academy, and Vida Rocca wanted to get out of there just as much as her students. Tanner, Stephanie and Milo sat in the middle, all three looking rather bored.
"Alright, everyone!" She called clapping her hands. "Today's lecture's gonna be short and sweet."
"As usual." Milo commented earning an elbow to the arm by Stephanie.
Vida elected to ignore this comment and decided to start the lesson.
"Ok, guys. Today's lecture will be more theoretical and scientific." After a small chorus of groans from her students, Vida continued.
"Can someone explain the concept of 'Concepts and Variables?"
A few hands rose, but Stephanie's shot straight up.
"Go ahead, Steph."
Clearing her throat, Stephanie took a breath. Tanner let out a small snicker.
"Constants and Variables refers to the multi-world or multiverse theory. It basically states that a particular event can happen in many worlds but with slightly different details. The Constants are the overlying story and the results themselves. The Variables are details such as how it happened, those involved, etc. For example, in another world, Tanner could be explaining this theory because it's possible that this alternate Tanner would actually have a brain."
"Hey!" Tanner raised clearly offended. Milo grabbed his best friend's hand and pulled him back to his seat.
"Exactly." Vida smiled pointing to Stephanie. She then raised her hand to the board behind her and proceeded to write some notes.
"If you think of all worlds being different islands in the same oceans, you can see how this works. There are things that happen similarly, precisely the same, or not at all. I'm willing to bet that there are numerous things that have happened in our world that also took place on a distant planet. A good example would be the Power Rangers. They exist throughout the universe. The Constant is the team itself. The Variable would be the type of powers they use, villains, etc. So does this make sense? Get it? Got it? Good."
A/N: This NEEDED to be written. And it's my fault for not explaining it. When I started this story, there was an explanation page on what this story would include. It stated that I would be using the "Constants and Variables" factor of the Multiworld/Multiverse theory. That being said, naturally some of my chapters would include elements from a few different media sources. HOWEVER, those elements pertain to Kamen Rider which have already crossed paths with my Rangers. So when you say, "This is just like" so and so, I'm well aware of that. Constants and Variables. Up until the Hero War, crossing dimensions was a pretty big theme in the story. It was because of the Hero War that the dimensions aren't crossing anymore, which is why there are no more cross overs. That is all.
