A/N: A long chapter, still a bit rushed. I just feel the need to get through this because I want to get to the character arcs. And plus, I decided to use this chapter to set up cameos. A

Deep in the Himalayan Mountains stood a sealed temple. Inside this ancient rune, was a magical seal that had been placed hundreds of years ago. Inside the main room, an altar started to glow and the room lit up in millions of lights.

Within moments, two beings stood in the middle of the room. Both were male and looked very similar, having short hair, strong builds and wore white Roman style robes. One was a blonde and the other was a brunette.

"It's good to be back." Said one.

Taking in a deep breath, the other nodded. "Indeed. It's time to find her."

Down in the Dark Void, Dove, Phoenix's lover, opened her velvet eyes and rose from her bed for the first time in a long time.

~ Cue Theme ~

~ Bayview High ~

"So much for gym class." Liam muttered as he, the Rangers, Tobias and Lydia sat in the gym doing nothing in particular. The plan was to go outside and run on the track, but the sudden rain storm kept them from doing so.

"Where'd this rain come from?" Alicia asked. "I don't like it."

"It's just a little water." Noah joked as he of all people enjoyed the element of water.

"It's not that... Something feels off." Alicia answered with a serious tone. As if right on cue, the window's exploded with a burst of wind and lightning. The storm roared with thunder as if it was heralding the arrival of someone... or something.

Uncovering their eyes, the Teens saw the two men in Roman Robes staring at them.

"Looks like your hunch was right." Liam said standing up as his civilian classmates darted out of the gym.

"At any rate, let's go!" Jared said.

"Spirit Legend, Awaken!"

Jared, Noah and Sonia circled the brunette while the rest charged at the blonde.

Noah sent a swipe of water forward, but the attack was swatted away. Sonia jumped off of his shoulder and sent a rapid flurry of kicks, only to be blocked. The Roman-like man grabbed her left leg and tossed her into the bleachers.

"Sonia!" Noah called running to her. Jared summoned his Legend Sword and pulled out his X-Sword. Using Metallix's power, he made the weapons glow a bright white light. Pressing them together, Jared fused his swords into one. When the glow faded, the Slayer wielded a wide sword that stood six feet long with a foot wide blade which was silver and had glowing red veins running through it.

He dashed forward and clashed with the Titan, the two moving rather swiftly.

Chris and Alicia jumped into the air and drop kicked the Blonde but were blocked. Quickly, Liam launched a green disc and nailed his target in the chest. However, the attack did not faze him. Asher came from around back and slashed down with his Legend Blade as hard as he could. Unfortunately, the blade stuck itself in the man's back and wouldn't budge. The boy didn't even make a dent. Grabbing Alicia and Chris, the man turned and slammed the two into Asher, sending all three into a wall.

Liam twisted his morpher dial and summoned the Legend Burst Cannon.

"Legend Burst Cannon: Seismic Mode! Fire!" Letting off numerous blasts of solid stone, Liam forced the Titan into his partner. Jared jumped into the air and sent forward a massive slash wave of fire, energy and liquid metal. Combined with Liam's assault, a giant explosion occurred blowing all seven off their feet.

Gathering together, the Teens huffed and puffed trying to regulate their pulses. The smoke from the explosion started to swirl and with a swing of a Titan's arm, it was dispelled. Both men stood unharmed with smirks on their faces.

"I believe that is all these champions can do." Said the Blonde.

"Agreed." Nodded the Brunette. "When will she get here?"

Looking up, the Blonde said, "Now."

With a large crash, Dove descended from above and landed gracefully. "So these are the Rangers Phoenix fumes about. They don't look so powerful."

"Dove." Jared identified. "Phoenix's..."

"Yes, I am." Dove nodded. "And you seven will be ashes." Her velvet eyes began to glow a malicious yellow and the woman whipped her arms forward, forcing a wave of energy to hit the Rangers and sending them spiraling into the back wall demorphing them.

"We must finish them now, Avela."

In a swirl of lights, the Seven Rangers were teleported away from there and back to HQ.

"Pity." Dove commented. She turned to the two men and said, "Armin, Argo. Let us go."

"Lead the way." Armin, the blonde, said.

~HQ~

The Rangers landed in HQ severely disoriented. Claire and Dr. Bly stood above them with worried faces.

"Claire! Dr. Bly!" Chris said.

"Sorry we haven't been around. There's a lot of commotion in the Council of Light." Claire informed them.

"Who were those guys anyway?" Liam asked, getting up.

Jared walked over to the Destiny Book and flipped through it. "They called Dove 'Avela.' It makes me wonder... Here."

The page Jared was looking for was not what he expected. The illustration was of a featureless female humanoid that was completely orange.

"Avela is a being of enormous power. Banished from her home dimension, her goal is to get back through whatever means necessary."

"Ok," Noah said, stepping forward. "Just tell us what kind of Demon this Avela is so we can take her down!"

A small pause passed as Jared read the next lines. He stuttered before making out any clear sentences as if he was scrambling to string words together. "She's not a demon. She's an inter-dimensional god; far stronger than all the gods on record."

One could hear a pin drop at that point as Alicia uttered, "Oh..."

~Dark Void~

In the Dark Void, Phoenix was furious and worried. "Where could she be?" He asked, changing into his human form. "I've got to find her."

"Lost?" Asked Medusa. Phoenix only gave his comrade a glare to which she replied, "I want to help you."

Crossing his arms he asked, "Why would you help me find her?"

"For reasons a toughened warrior like you wouldn't want to hear. You want my help or not?"

"Fine."

The two nodded and went off to the human world while Slade listened behind a corner.

~Bayview~

The Rangers quickly received a disturbance report coming from the Plaza. Gathering in a circle, Asher said "These are the coordinates."

"Problem is," Sonia said looking around the empty square, "it's empty. No civilians."

Jared focused his mind and caught a pulsation. "Get down!" He ordered. The seven hit the ground as numerous blasts of red energy sailed all around them causing the concrete to explode.

Shiners stood before them ready for battle.

"Haven't seen those ugly things in a while." Liam commented standing up.

"Do you like them?" Asked Armin as he appeared to float above them. "I've given them a little something extra. Enjoy." Snapping his fingers, his new soldiers charged forward.

The Seven morphed and jumped into battle.

Alicia dive rolled forward, hand sprung into a backflip, then spun kicked three Shiners in the face. Sonia and Liam weaved around together punching Shiners and flipping them on their backs. Noah readied his X-Defender and proceeded to blast anything that got too close. Jared drop kicked a Shiner into the ground while Asher threw two over his head. Chris quickly drew his X-Sword and sliced a few Shiners to pieces.

Liam finished off his last target and sent a few boulders up at Armin who swatted them away.

"Nice try." The God mocked before sending an energy blast back down. Liam was hit full on and was sent flying back. A shiner was about to stab him when a metal pole went through its chest causing it to disintegrate.

Standing in front of him was a girl wielding a metallic bow staff. Her golden hair was wrapped in a ponytail. She wore a black turtleneck, brown cargos and brown army books. "You ok?" She asked casting her green eyes on Liam.

"Erika!" The Ranger exclaimed, picking himself up. "What're you doing here?"

Erika the Vampire Slayer explained, "My Light-Watcher was told that something big was going down. So he sent me here to check it out."

"Glad you could be here!" Jared called out as he sliced three Shiners into dust with his Legend Sword.

Armin twitched in annoyance at the new challenger. He was going to take action when Argo called to him. "Armin, it's time for us to start our mission. Your distraction is no longer needed."

In a flash of light, Armin was gone and so were the Shiners.

~A forest~

Armin appeared with a thunderclap and was greeted by his comrades. "Those Humans can hold their own better than I thought."

"That's how they lasted this long." Dove/Avela explained. "But we don't need to fight them right now. Our objective is in reach." She pointed to two statues of humans; but not just any humans. They were the captured Light-Watchers.

"Now, we can destroy those who sealed us." Argo said cracking his knuckles.

"No not yet." Armin said. "We need one more Light-Watcher so we can all orb."

"Then find one." Avela ordered impatiently. "These are ours."

"I will."

~HQ~

"Grounding all Light-Watchers? What does that mean?" Alicia asked.

Devon explained, "Over the last few hours, two Light-Watchers have gone missing. They're energy signals were just cut off. So it's best that all Light-Watchers, even Chris and Asher, keep from orbing for a while."

At that moment, Dr. Bly came in with pieces of paper.

"Find anything new?" Claire asked.

"Yes, I did. The two companions Avela has are called Armin and Argo. Brothers who are the sons Avela. All three were cast out of their home dimension away from Ando, Avela's husband. Outraged, the three wreaked havoc on this dimension. The Light-Watchers called upon Power Rangers from the other dimension to deal with them. With the Light-Watcher powers, these Rangers sealed the Gods away but it cost them their lives. Since then, the Gods have been plotting to get their revenge on the Council of Light."

"So why are they taking away Light-Watchers?" Chris asked.

"My theory is that they're taking their Watcher powers to get to the Council."

"Then we stop them right here!" Chris stated giving him stares from his team.

"What do you mean?" Sonia asked.

"What I mean is set a trap for one of the Gods and take'em out. I'll lead him somewhere then when he appears, we'll vanquish him quick and simple."

"I'm not so sure. In theory, it would be a good plan. But these are Gods who are more powerful than the Gods on Earth." Jared said, crossing his arms.

"Well what else do we do? Wait for another Watcher to get captured and killed?" Chris challenged.

"He has a point." Noah remarked. "It's all we've got, Jared."

Thinking it over, Jared sighed. "Alright, we'll go for it. But we have to be careful."

~The Quarry~

Chris stood out in the open with a piece of paper in his hand. The other Rangers and Erika hid behind piles of rock and debris.

From HQ, Lydia and Tobias watched very nervously.

Lydia stated, "They'll be alright," as if she was trying to convince not only Tobias but herself.

"They always pull through." Tobias added.

Back on the Quarry, Chris sighed and orbed. His dark purple lights wrapped around him and lifted him into the air. The swirling orbs disappeared for a second then reappeared descending to the ground. Chris, now fully visible, waited with anxious eyes.

A thunderclap could be heard off in the distance as Armin appeared in front of him. Looking down at the piece of paper he held he chanted,

"Dark take hold of this entity,

Trap in an empty plane of eternity!"

Glowing black and purple ribbons of energy attacked the God, but he ripped them into shreds. "Puny magic." He commented as he advanced. Chris panicked and made both of his arms turn into the black metal material. The boy dashed back and threw punches at the air sending energy bursts as he went. The attack pretty much went as well as someone who tried to put a forest fire out with a small bucket of water; no effect at all.

"Time for this to end." Armin declared raising his hand.

"He needs help now!" Erika said jumping over the pile. Focusing her Power from Within, she jumped high into the air and landed in front of Chris as Armin let loose a massive amount of energy. Erika spread her arms to her wingspan and absorbed the attack. She then released it back at Armin with 10x the force, knocking the God back.

In seconds, the rest of the Rangers surrounded him. Knowing he has no match injured by his reflected attack, Armin disappeared into thin air.

Thinking it was over, the Rangers demorphed. Suddenly, Armin appeared behind Erika, grabbed her, knocked her out and disappeared once more.

~With the Gods~

Armin reappeared and fell to one knee exhausted, throwing Erika at Argo's feet.

"What happened?!" Avela demanded in anger. Immediately, the grass beneath him started to die. "I was outnumbered! I had to retreat! But I have a prisoner!"

"You failed, Armin! And I do not tolerate failure!"

"No, please Mother. No!"

"It's too late!" Avela concluded holding her hands up. Instantly, Armin caught fire and screamed in pain. Argo watched in terror as his brother exploded. "No!" He shouted, extending his right hand.

"Leave it, Argo. Or do you want to join him?"

"No, Avela... Mother."

"Very good, boy. Now, let's exact our revenge. We can use this girl as well." Avela smiled as she prodded Erika with her feet.

~HQ~

As soon as the Teens teleported into HQ, they were greeted by Devon on the ground screaming in pain. His head veins were bulging and his forehead was caked in sweat.

"What's wrong with him?" Erika asked, kneeling down.

Devon choked out, "Light-Watchers... I hear them. Dying all around! Warriors from the 10 classes on Geo Nova... being killed!" Letting out another scream, Devon lost control of himself. He kept orbing all over the room crashing into things as he went along.

"Sorry about this, Devon!" Noah called out as he flicked his wrists immobilizing his friend in the air.

As Claire got Devon to the infirmary, everyone else pooled their time and effort in finding Erika's exact location.

"Search spells, scrying, tracking... Nothing's working!" Alicia announced rubbing her temples from the stress.

"Could they still be on Geo Nova?" Liam asked standing up. "We should go check it out."

Dr. Bly nodded. "Liam's right. Geo Nova's capitol has a large concentration of energy. They'll use it to get back to their world and when they do, it'll mean destruction for this dimension as a side effect."

Claire added, "But they won't open the portal until all Light-Watchers are dead. So, this gives us an edge."

The two mentors walked in front of the main monitor and pulled up a strategy board.

Claire explained, "If Asher and Chris can stall them by orbing all over, we can divide them, conquer them, and save Erika."

"Risky, but it's our best shot." Sonia concluded.

Jared nodded and said, "Alright. Noah, go with Chris, Asher, and Alicia. Sonia, Liam, and I will go to Geo Nova and get Erika assuming she's still there. Let's get to work."

~Geo Nova~

Avela laughed with glee as she tossed the Captains through the air like rag dolls. Many underlings of the 10 captains were sprung everywhere either injured or dead.

"Too easy!" Avela taunted as she threw a Warrior Class girl into a wall. A white slash wave made her jump into the air. Rachel, Luke and Colton stood ready to fight.

"Not another step." Rachel threatened raising her sword.

"Hope you can entertain me for a bit." Avela replied making her hands glow a bloody crimson.

Suddenly, the two Gods felt a disturbance in the air; a fluctuation across space.

Argo announced, "A Light-Watcher is on Earth. I thought they would all retreat to here."

"Go kill them." Avela commanded.

With that, Argo orbed back to Earth.

At the same time, Jared, Sonia and Liam dropped from the sky and blasted Avela with a combination attack of Fire, Lightning and Earth.

"Party's over." Jared remarked. Reaching inside, he pulled out his Phantom's power and bolted forward with energized fire.

~Earth~

Asher had led Argo to Docking Bay where he could easily take cover behind numerous metal storage containers. He chose the spot well because he was easily found. Argo shot a bolt of blue lightning at the boy, but he dived rolled behind a container. Panting, he really wanted to use his morpher or active witch powers, but he had to keep up his helpless Light-Watcher appearance. At that moment, he used a spell to connect his mind with Chris.

"How many Light-Watchers were killed?" He asked Chris.

His team mate's voice replied, "45% of them."

"Alright." Asher orbed away and onto a nearby ship. Chris orbed to an area behind Argo to throw him off.

"Now!" The two boys thought at the same time.

Icicles and tornadoes struck the God repeatedly as Noah and Alicia revealed themselves from thin air.

"You two!"

"Surprise!" Noah snickered as he willed the ocean water to rise into the air and smash Argo into a crane.

To distract his sense of fighting further, Asher and Chris constantly orbed throughout the area making the God an easy target.

~Geo Nova~

Liam erected a sturdy barrier to keep Avela at bay. Meanwhile in the central castle, Jared dashed through the halls trying to ignore all the signs of destruction and pain. What terrified him the most was the fact that he hadn't seen any Captains. However, this thought was tossed aside when he found Erika lying in a cell. Breaking the door with a swing of his sword, he helped the Slayer up.

"Jared... we're too late... It's started." Erika weakly whispered.

"What's started?"

"The portal that'll send them back."

As if on cue, the ground started to shake. Jared suddenly felt his energy drain out of him. Falling to the ground, the Teen demorphed and struggled back to his feet.

"Where is the portal?" Jared asked as he and Erika supported each other.

"On the roof."

"Can we stop it?"

"Yeah, I overheard it from those two Gods."

"How do we seal it?" Unfortunately, dozens of Shiners appeared before them.

"Just get me there first." Erika proposed taking a fighting stance. "Trust me."

"Alright." Jared agreed as he got ready as well.

The two Slayers charged forward and worked really well in tandem. Every move made complemented the next in a graceful dance-like fashion. Within minutes, the Shiners were gone.

"Not too shabby." Erika smiled.

"Same to you." Jared nudged back as more Shiners appeared.

However, shadow snakes and crimson fire destroyed the newcomers. Phoenix and Medusa approached the two Slayers cautiously.

"What do you want, Phoenix?" Jared asked with a glare.

"We just want to help you."

"And why should we trust you?" Erika demanded.

Medusa said, "We have a common interest: To prevent this dimension's destruction and to get Dove back to the way she originally was.

On the ground, Liam and Sonia were thrown many yards away. Avela, tired of the weaklings, looked above to the top of the main castle. A purple portal as wide as a circus tent started to open. Sparks of energy blasted from it as the portal moved over the ledge. Millions of monsters of all shapes and sizes rushed from this opening and spread across the universe.

~Aquitar~

Chimera monsters who were combinations of numerous Sea Animals crashed onto Aquitar. Laying waste to the Continents, Billy Cranston sent out a distress call to the base of operations.

After doing so, he looked around his lab. Aquitians were running out of the scientific building. The Aquitians looked relatively human. The difference was that their hair colors naturally took on a wider shade range, their eyes were either shades of green, blue or gold and they had the ability to open and close gills that were located on their necks.

(A/N: I'm sorry, the depiction of Aquitians in the show was just... terrible. So if you need a visual aid for my description, you can try Aqua Lad from Young Justice)

Billy's lab was chrome and full of machines and supplies more complex than those on Earth. Looking outside the window, the glistening city was littered with grotesque monsters.

"I wish I could morph..." Billy whispered looking down at his Triceratops Power Coin. He knew that he couldn't morph because of the Morphing Grid. Apparently, the restoration energy of all the Mighty Morphin Power Coins, Dinosaur and Ninja alike hadn't completely mended their sections of the Morphing Grid. The connection wasn't completely stable so Morphing frequently would be dangerous.

While lamenting over the fact that he, his friends and their chosen individual substitutes had limited power, Billy didn't notice the new Aquitian Rangers morph up. The five new young warriors slashed through countless monsters.

"Good luck." Billy whispered as the Red Aquitar Ranger blasted a few monsters out of the sky with a giant laser cannon.

~KO-35~

Five young KO-35 teenagers, dressed in Space Ranger like Uniforms, lined up ready to fight. Their morphers looked very similar to the Astro Morphers, but the tops rotated open.

The first teen stood at around 5 feet 11 inches. His face was soft looking and immature. He had emerald green eyes and tan skin. His short brown hair was neatly trimmed. He was Ion Red: Loren.

The teen to the right of Loren had tanner skin and was six feet tall. He had rich black hair that fell behind his ears. He had pale blue eyes and a hardened mature face. He was known as Ion Black: Blaine.

On Loren's left was his brother: Liren who was Ion Blue. Liren was older than Loren and had similar features. Liren's hair, however, was darker and fell down to below his ears.

Next to Blaine was Ion Pink: Korra. She too had tan skin and brown hair that was in a ponytail. She wore thick glasses and had a curvy body with a diplomatic and serious face.

The last of the bunch was Ion Yellow: Hollyn. She had the lightest skin and brightest golden eyes. She was the smallest of the bunch with a petite body. Although it looked frail, it was toughened up with experience. Hollyn had golden curly hair that fell down past her shoulders.

"Ok, guys!" Loren called out.

"Right!"

"Ionize, Digitize!" They flipped open their morphers and typed in 5-5-3 and hit enter. Within seconds, they were morphed up and ready to go.

~ Earth ~

Argo was called back to Avela almost immediately after the Portal opened. Before the Rangers could chase them, giant monsters attacked.

Noah back flipped away from what looked like a Bear-Dragon and blasted it with a molecular burst.

"This is too weird!" Alicia called as she started to fire arrows at the sky monsters.

~Geo Nova~

Erika, Jared, Phoenix and Medusa managed to fight their way to the roof. By then, the portal had moved a distance away from the building as more dark creatures poured from it.

"Right there!" Erika informed, pointing her finger. The four got closer but were swept off their feet by Avela.

"Don't go near it." She glared.

"Try and stop us!" Jared shot back as he and Erika dashed forward. Jared sent a high kick and missed the God. Erika then came around the left and nailed Avela in the face with a bunch. The Female Slayer then grabbed Jared's hand and swung him around. The Ranger used this momentum to kick Avela's skull with a powerful strike.

Summoning his Phantom's power, Jared intensified the flames that erupted from his bare palms. Sweat staining his forehead and matting down his hair, Jared let a giant stream of fire blast forward followed by Erika's burst of energy from her palms. The two attacks swirled together and nailed Avela.

"Dove!" Phoenix shouted running forward.

"Mother!" Argo called flying from the sky. However, Medusa reacted just in time. She sent a shadow snake after him and caught him by surprise. The God fell in front of the combined attack and due to his weakened state, the combo was enough to destroy him. Phoenix used this chance while Dove and Avela were paralyzed.

"Red Ranger, use your Power and pull Avela out of Dove."

Not questioning anything, Jared nodded, sped forward, and thrust his hand into Dove's sternum.

He expected to see the wondrous sights and feel the vibrations of someone's heart. He thought he could use his ability to understand Avela's pain... except, he saw nothing, felt nothing, heard nothing. Avela's predominant soul was empty... Seeing Avela's energy form, he grabbed it.

Back in reality, Jared tugged Avela out of Dove and threw her into the air only for the God to be devoured by a large dragon-like creature.

Phoenix grabbed Dove and disappeared along with Medusa.

The male Slayer thought it'd end but after a few moments, the Portal remained open.

"What's happening?" Jared asked in disbelief. "I thought it'd close!"

"No." Erika said, shaking her head.

"Dr. Bly, Avela was destroyed but the Portal isn't closing!"

Claire's voice came through and answered for Dr. Bly. "It's because that's an inter-dimensional portal. According to the data we have on them, they can only be destroyed by a source of any kind of energy. It dawned on Jared. The only tangible sources of energy were himself and Erika as Slayers.

Jared nodded and said, "I'll go. I have more inside me."

"No, I will." Erika intervened.

"What?"

"This is the way to stop it. I'm more than enough."

"But with more power I can end it."

"You don't understand, Jared. I heard the Gods say that the energies will cancel each other out. That's why Avela wouldn't let me go. She knew I was a Slayer with power."

"You don't have to do it." Jared choked back a tear.

"That portal needs a Slayer's blood... and you're too valuable. Never give up." With that, Erika turned around and sprinted forward. She jumped off the roof and into the Portal. Letting out a huge and agonizing scream, the Portal closed and Erika's body slowly lowered to the ground...

Across the Dimension, the monsters vanished.

~Earth~

"The short crisis was averted but Erika Houston sacrificed herself." Jared explained to his friends later on. "Her body was delivered to her family and she'll be buried tomorrow."

The whole HQ was silent and mourned for another fallen warrior. Tobias asked, "What about the next Slayer? Has he been found?"

"No." Claire answered.

Now full blown crying, Alicia left the room in haste. Sonia followed after her best friend to comfort her.

"And even so..." Noah trailed off. ".. the battle has to continue..."

~Dark Void~

"Phoenix..." Dove whispered as she was let down in bed.

"Yes, I know. Someone put Avela inside of you." Phoenix stated. "And I may know who..." Little did he know, Slade was listening around the corner once more.
