The moon hung in the night sky over a Mountain Plateau. On this plateau was a japanese style mansion raised on a cylindrical stone pillar as high as New York's Empire State Building. Three figures dashed across the grass at high speeds heading toward this fortress. The figures passed an invisible line and triggered a trap.

Throwing knives flew from what looked to be nowhere and headed straight for the three. One of them waved his hands and sent out a burst of ice, freezing them all.

"How annoying; traps and it looks like there's a whole lot of them."

"On the other hand," spoke the only female, "you're getting a handle on your new power."

"I am, aren't I?"

"Enough talk." The leader said. "If traps line the perimeter of the mansion then what's being protected has to be valuable."

"Then let's go, Twilight Red." Said Twilight Pink impatiently.

"I agree." Twilight Blue nodded. "Surely, they know we're here."

~In the Mansion~

"Our traps have been sprung." Informed an aged man with glasses. He wore a brown tunic and white ragged pants with sandals.

He stood in a high tech room with computer monitors lining one wall. Two people stood with him. One was a 17 year old japanese girl with a petite but sturdy frame. She wore a pink tunic and black leggings under a white skirt with brown boots.

The other was an 18 year old boy with shaggy chestnut brown hair that fell below his ears. He had a slight tan to his skin that complimented his amber eyes. He wore a blue trench coat over a black shirt, black jeans and hiking boots. In his left coat pocket was a foot long cylinder carrying bubble soap. Next to it was a blower wand.

"Jacob, I need you to protect Holly." The old man asked. "The intruders are surely after her. I'll keep them busy."

Holly interjected, "Dame!" (Dahh MEH) The girl was distraught, as shown by her slip into speaking Japanese. "Terrence, don't stay behind! If you, me, and Master work together, we can stop them!"

Terrence ignored the girl's pleas and looked at Jacob. The solemn faced boy nodded and walked away. "I'll repay my debt. And Holly? Don't call me 'Master.' I've already told you this."

"Holly," Terrence held out a white satchel and Holly took it. "You must keep the Power Source safe. For all your late family members, you must keep it safe!"

Within minutes, Terrence got Holly and Jacob to an underground escape route.

"Go, I'll be right behind you." Terrence assured.

"Promise!" Holly stated trying to hold her tears back.

"I promise." Terrence nodded. As the two youths made their way through the underground tunnel, Terrence tossed a throwing knife at the ceiling and made it explode causing the entrance to collapse.

He waited in the courtyard with a Samurai sword. The courtyard was rather average in size. It had a pond at the center with a red bridge going over it. Next to that was a huge tree shading most of the area.

"It took us a while to get by all your traps." Twilight Red's voice informed. "But we're here now."

Twilight Pink materialized her Bow. "Give us the Power Source."

"You'll have to take it from me." Terrence challenged raising his sword.

"Get him!" Red commanded.

Blue charged forward swinging his axe. Terrence dodged it and said, "I may be just a servant, but I've learned a thing or two from my Masters over the many years!"

The old japanese man then proceeded to take a japanese paint brush out of his pocket.

"What're you gonna do with that, geezer?" Pink taunted.

"This!" Terrence raised the brush in front of him and started to wave it. As he did, a gold colored streak appeared in mid air; the man was writing! "Feel the strength of my Symbol Power!" The man spun the character for Explosion and sent it forward. The three Twilights scattered to avoid the blast...

~Cue Theme~

~Gordon Manor~

Jared sat himself at the dining room table surrounded by pens and papers. He was so focused on the task, he didn't notice Asher coming up from behind.

"What're you doing?" The boy from the future asked. "Claire wants us at HQ."

"I know, I'm just writing a few letters."

"What for?"

Jared shrugged his shoulders. "It's just my way of clearing up how I feel. I'm writing yours now."

Asher shook his head and grimaced. "Honestly, Jared, letters don't mean much to me. I got plenty of those growing up."

"What?" Jared turned to meet the boy.

Asher took a few seconds to think about what to say. "From... my father. He wasn't around much."

"That's awful," Jared replied.

"Yeah, well... It's whatever. Come on, we gotta go."

~HQ~

Everyone assembled in HQ at Claire's request.

"Last night," she informed, "we picked up a Twilight Signal outside Bayview borders."

"So what does that mean?" Chris asked.

Claire answered, "For centuries, the Nemeton Seal's power kept Twilight confined to Bayview. Now that they're able to reach as far as the neighboring town across the mountains, it means that the seal is weakening."

"So, what should we do?" Liam asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"We're gonna split up. I want Jared, Alicia, Asher, and Noah to go check it out. Everyone else will be on standby in case the Twilight decide to attack here too. Lydia, I want you to contact Spencer and get him to pilot the Power Dizer. Tobias, I want you scanning the city around the clock."

"Got it." Tobias nodded.

"Understood." Lydia said.

Before everyone left Claire said one last thing. "The three signals I picked up were closing in on a fourth signal that seemed to be headed in the opposite direction. My theory is that the Twilight is after something. Be careful."

"Who do you think you're talking to?" Noah winked as he and the others teleported away.

~The Mansion~

The Twilights were long gone after figuring that Holly had the Power Source they were looking for. Terrence was found by Jared and his group just in time. As Alicia healed him, Terrence explained the situation.

"Please find her and keep her safe."

"We'll do our best." Jared assured him.

~Later On, in the forest with Jacob and Holly~

"I'm not your Master." Jacob stated plainly.

"But after everything we've been through? You can't just give up on me after teaching me so much!"

"I don't recall teaching you anything. What you know... you learned on your own."

~Flashback, Months Ago~

Holly had wandered a little ways away from the Mansion to look at the blooming flowers. Suddenly, an explosion erupted in the forest around her. Jacob came flying out of it and landed behind her.

"Are you ok?" Holly asked frantically. Jacob's arm was bleeding. Whips of water came rushing out of the trees about to nab the girl, but Jacob rose up and raised a sapphire blue wand.

"Pests." He commented before casting a spell. Bubbles erupted from the end of his wand at a fast speed. The bubbles stormed the tree line and rose into the air moments later. At that point, they had expanded enough to be able to hold a person. Seven bubbles held seven people who were freaking out.

They panicked and tried to escape, but the bubbles exploded and they fell over fifty feet to the ground. After the battle, Jacob fainted and Holly brought him back to the fort to heal.

~A while later~

Jacob was resting under a tree humming a tune from his childhood.

"That's a nice song." came Holly's voice.

"My mother used to sing it to my brother and I."

"You have a brother?"

Avoiding the question, Jacob asked, "What do you want?"

"Please, take me on as your student!" Holly pleaded bowing her head to the ground.

"I'm not interested in taking on a student." Jacob, fully healed, proclaimed.

"I want to be strong like you! I'm a mage too! I just… never got to learn how to use my magic. You have to help me!"

Annoyed, Jacob said, "Fine. Terrence tells me that your family was proficient in controlling your Mana."

"Yeah..."

"So use it to walk on the pond right there."

"Fine!" Holly challenged. She then fully sprinted to the body of water and immediately fell into it.

Laughing to himself Jacob said, "I'll be out of here in no time."

The next day, Holly brought Jacob back to the pond and showed him. She had perfected her water walking technique in one night.

"Now you'll take me on as your student!"

"Uh... no, no. There's still one more thing." Clasping his hands together and closing his eyes, Jacob focused his Mana. With a concentrated look, Jacob pursed his lips and blew outward. Instead of air coming out, it was a rush of water. "Master that technique. It's a basic water spell."

"Alright then!" Holly attempted it a few times but nothing came out. Jacob yawned and walked away. "Sorry..." He whispered. "But that technique only works for people who have a natural affinity for water."

However, the next day sure enough, Holly got the move down much to Jacob's irritation.

"I can't." He simply stated before walking away.

~End Flashback~

"But, please... You're like my family." Holly reasoned.

Terrible memories flowed into Jacob's head. They were patchy and blotted out, but he could clearly see his brother's face over his own. Jacob was tied to a stone slab and the area around him glowed a sick magenta. His brother placed a sky blue orb inside of his stomach making the boy scream.

"I'm not your family!" Jacob half yelled. "Family... isn't something you should put your faith in!"

Suddenly, a flash of red came down from the trees.

"Get away from her!" Jared yelled as he kicked down. Jacob blocked this attack and pushed Jared away.

"What's this feeling?" He asked as Jared charged again. The two threw and caught one another's fists.

"He's not an enemy!" Holly shouted, but her cries fell on deaf ears.

Jared punched forward, but Jacob caught his fist. That's when the two felt it; a familiar feeling washed over both of them.

"This Mana..." Jacob thought.

"Could he be..." Jared asked himself.

Noah, Alicia and Asher finally caught up to them. After explaining everything, Jacob nodded and began to walk away.

"I guess that's it for me then."

Holly interjected, "You can't leave me yet!"

"These guys are strong. They can protect you."

"Please don't, Jacob!"

"I'm sorry, but-" Suddenly, the ground exploded.

The three Twilights emerged from the shadows wielding their weapons.

"Red Ranger? You're here? Looks like today is a good day."

"Twilight Rangers!" Asher pointed out.

"Two birds with one stone. How lucky!" Pink commented.

Jared, Alicia, and Noah morphed up and rushed in to face their counterparts. Asher immediately grabbed Holly and Jacob and rushed away. However, Twilight Red did not want this to happen.

"You're not getting away!" He jumped away from Jared and dashed to Asher. After kicking the boy into a tree, Twilight Red lit his hand on fire.

Jared came out of nowhere and started throwing fireballs down from the air.

However, Twilight Red nullified Jared's flames with his own. Twilight Blue and Pink canceled out Noah and Alicia's attacks with the Water and Wind respectively.

"Surprised?" Pink asked.

"How?" Alicia demanded.

"We absorbed information from your minds." Blue informed. "It took a while, but we can use your elements!"

Jared reached deep inside him and yelled to his Phantom, "Leander, you better help me out here."

"Done." His Phantom replied.

Jared's palms erupted with brilliant white and red flames. The Slayer then fired off a continuous blazing stream. Twilight Red matched the attack with his own and caused an explosion. Asher grabbed Holly and got her out of the way.

Jared and Jacob on the other hand went flying away. The force sent them far through the trees and off a cliff.

"There's no mistake..." Jacob thought as he conjured a huge bubble that absorbed both him and Jared. "He's like me..."

"Let's get out of here!" Noah told Alicia as Asher and Holly regrouped with them.

"Not if I can help it!" Twilight Pink called out dashing forward. She kicked Holly in the stomach and sent her into a tree. She then grabbed the satchel away from the girl and opened it.

"The Power Source is ours!" She announced pulling a scroll from the bag and holding it in the air. However, the item started to glow a white light and it exploded, sending Pink back into Twilight Blue.

"Ekoms-dna-srorrim!" Alicia chanted, making smoke arise from the ground. Using the diversion, the teens made a quick escape.

~Later On~

Jared woke to find himself floating in Jacob's carrier bubble.

"So you're awake." Jacob observed. The boy directed his bubble to the ground and it popped.

After a bit Jared got the courage to ask, "Why exactly were you so bitter to Holly over her calling you her Master and her family?"

"So you heard all that?"

"Yeah."

Sighing, Jacob said, "Well I guess I'll tell you. I'm stuck with you for a while anyways."

Jacob casted his mind back into the past, remembering the orb his brother placed inside of him.

"I had an older brother who had amazing magical abilities. He found others like him and soon traveled the world just to help people. All I know is that something changed; one day he took me away somewhere and chained me to a stone bed. Then he put something inside me; something that made me less human. And now, he and his friends are dead. Killed by something or someone."

Jared put two and two together and quickly asked, "Was your brother's name Clark?"

"Yeah, how'd you know?"

"Because he helped me once... and I was there when he was killed."

Before anything else was said, numerous chains flew from the surrounding bushes and wrapped around Jacob. They then lit up with electricity and shocked the boy, making him scream.

"Jacob!" Jared yelled.

~With the others~

After explaining the situation to Holly, Noah asked, "How powerful is this energy source?"

"It's powerful enough to restore my family. We were once a respected Samurai Family in Japan. According to our scrolls, long ago, a tear opened up in the sky. A kind of rainbow energy flowed out of it, like an Aurora. It doused the Head of my family with its light and it disappeared. But he who absorbed this light… he was granted powers beyond anything anyone could imagine…"

"What happened next?" Alicia asked, her hands delicately taking Holly's. "Many years later, evil spirits from the Sanzu River first began to appear in our world. Different from the Dark Void… To fight back, my ancestor was guided by an even more ancient Wizard. At the time, he was too old to fight. So, he split his powers into seven pieces. One piece, he passed onto his daughter, who I'm related to. Her powers were passed down generation to generation and onto me. Another piece he sent forward in time - this piece would seek out an individual with a heart of gold who would help save the world. The final five pieces were given to five families of Samurai. They wielded their newfound power and transformed into warriors of good. For centuries, they fought the Sanzu River spirits."

"Power Rangers," Noah gasped in realization. "Power Rangers: Samurai."

"Precisely," Holly nodded. "While the Samurai Families were revered and respected, somewhere along the way my family was persecuted, and seen as evil. We relocated here and our numbers dwindled. My grandfather tasked me with keeping the energy source safe. The piece my family inherited is more powerful than the Samurai Family pieces. If it falls into the wrong hands it could mean the end. Not just for my family, but for the world."

"Why did the scroll explode?" Alicia asked as she healed herself.

"Because that was a decoy scroll. The Power Source was never in it."

"Then where is it, really?" Asher inquired.

Standing up, Holly turned her back to the three Rangers and lifted her tunic. At the center of her back was a faint green glow.

"It's inside of you." Noah realized as his eyes widened.

"How could they do that to you?" Alicia said covering her mouth in shock.

Holly shook her head, "I know it's not fair. But it's my duty to my family."

~Jared and Jacob~

Jared sent out a thin swipe of fire and destroyed Jacob's restraints. He then wrapped his arms around Jacob's waist and back to support him.

"You alright?"

"Yeah... but they're here."

"Who?"

"The guys who've been after me since the incident."

Four figures rushed from the forest and swung at Jared with swords. The Slayer held Jacob tight and jumped high into the air. He then sent down a giant fireball, but missed. Jacob blew a few bubbles at the figures and made them explode into smoke.

"Stop!" Yelled a commanding voice.

The voice's owner stepped forward. He was a tall middle aged man with teal hair. He also had hazel eyes and tan skin. He wore a blue turtleneck, brown cargo pants and black boots.

"My name is Aiden Winters. I'm a Sorcerer from the Mystic Realm.
