A Forever Knight skulked through the catacombs with his mouth bent into a smug smile. He wore a silver half mask that covered his upper face. Other than that, he wore a black skin tight suit that was very durable and could protect him from most attacks.

He had just come from checking on Arum and Jack. Moving closer to his destination, he began to feel uneasy.

Entering a well lit room, the Knight grabbed the hilt of his sword that hung at his right hip. The room was unlike the rest of the catacombs; its walls were made of steel and had advanced technology inside it.

"So?" Came a voice from nowhere.

The man gulped and steadied his voice. "Things are going well. We just need a little more time before he finds the artifact."

Slade suddenly appeared behind the man. "Good. As you are the leader of this operation, I require that you do an exceptional job."

"Of course we will..." The Knight replied with a nervous tone.

"Do not fail me."

As fast as he appeared, the mysterious Slade vanished. The Knight, named Proctor, had chills running down his spine like a coursing river. Why his superiors made a deal with the Twilight was beyond him. He, like his men, knew this would not end well.

~Cue Theme~

It was night fall, and the Italian area was sound asleep. Noah and Devlin were riding in a silent plane over the city.

Devlin and Noah pressed their index and middle fingers to one of their ears, which had blue tooth-like devices in them.

"Communication, linked." Devlin spoke.

"Roger." Noah nodded back. The two sat in a passenger loading area that could easily sit thirty people. It was just them there, and Noah couldn't help but feel apprehensive. He was going on an infiltration and rescue mission using skills he just learned.

He couldn't call on his friends right away because their energy signatures would give them away. It was also for this reason that he couldn't morph.

Mariah's voice came over the intercom. "Drop point in range. Opening the hatch."

The drop off door to the right of Noah started to slide open.

Pulling on his hood while looking out over Italy, Noah felt his nerves quiet down.

"You first." Devlin said.

Nodding, Noah took a deep breath and jumped out of the carrier.

He felt himself plummeting toward the earth, wind whipping around him, his eyes slightly stinging. He let his body spread out just like a skydiver would before he pulled his parachute.

Seeing his target church, Noah ignited three symbols: Fire-Bird-Shield, and caused his black boots to erupt with blue energy, sending him right at the Catacombs. He landed in an abandoned courtyard with a roll; out of breath with adrenaline coursing through his body, Noah stood up and brushed himself off.

Devlin's voice came through the communicator. "I'm at my target point. Let's go in and we'll meet inside."

"Roger." Noah said nodding. When the com shut off, the boy felt a tingling sensation course through him. The realization that his father was so close to him alive made him antsy.

~Flashback~

Noah had always wanted to make his father proud in everything he did whether it be sports or other hobbies. It was Jack that taught Noah how to play lacrosse. One day when Noah was around 10 years old, he messed up in a soccer game big time resulting in the loss of his team.

Jack found Noah crying in his room.

"What's wrong, Champ?" Jack asked, sitting down next to his son.

"It's my fault we lost today... I'm bad at soccer..." Noah sniveled.

"What're you talking about? You were wonderful."

"No I wasn't... I'm not as good as Joey... I'll never be... I'm just bad at everything, Daddy."

Lightly laughing at his son's inferiority complex with the team's star player, Jack patted his son on the head and pulled him closer.

"You're not bad at everything, son. You're a very special boy. You're the best helper Mommy has at the animal clinic. And you're the greatest when we play board games. Also, you're the only one who can keep Arum under control when I'm not around."

This helped out a little bit. Noah smiled and sniffed a little bit.

"You may not know this," Jack said looking at Noah with a kind sense of seriousness, "but you've got gifts. The most fantastic gifts on Earth. And when they come to you, you'll be even more special."

"What are they?" Noah asked, wiping his eyes.

With another slight chuckle, Jack said, "You'll find out with time." Succeeding in making his son feel better, Jack kissed Noah on the head.

~End Flashback~

Taking in a deep breath, Noah opened an old entrance in the ground and jumped through it, falling into the dark catacombs.

~With Arum and Jack~

Jack was working nonstop on a rock the size of a football. It was hazy white and impenetrable. He knew for a fact that what he had been forced to look for for the past 5 years was inside it. As he worked to get it open, Arum told him about everything that had happened to him. However, as he told about the Legend Rangers and their abnormally longer battle than other teams, the boy decided to leave Noah's identity as a Ranger out of the picture.

Finishing off his stories, a long silence ensued.

Jack didn't know what to say; he missed so many memories and moments for his family, lost so much time for his children.

When Arum told him that Noah would use his powers to rescue them, Jack secretly hoped he wouldn't see his eldest son. He couldn't possibly face him after all this time.

~Flashback~

"You'll hurry home?" A 12 year old Noah asked with shining eyes. The boy's brown hair was growing shaggy and Jack just ruffled it a little.

"Of course. I'll tell you all about it after I cut this forest on your head."

"Bye, Dad!" Noah called after Hilary gave her husband a kiss. "You'll make me steak and mashed potatoes when I come home?" Jack smiled with a wink.

Hilary laughed while the tears came down her face. Her husband succeeded in making her feel less sad.

"Of course, but you'd have to be here to eat it. So finish your assignment, Jack."

"Consider it done." Jack laughed and kissed Hilary again.

As he approached his brother, Jack thought to himself, "This is the last mission... then I'm done with Assassin work. I'll tell Noah all about my adventure while I eat Hilary's cooking again. Focus, Jack. Your family is waiting for you."

~End Flashback~

~Noah~

Noah stealthily dashed through the hallways of the catacombs. It was like a winding maze that he couldn't navigate in.

Tired and taking a short break, Noah swept his shaggy brown hair out of his eyes. He actually hadn't gotten it cut since before his Father's disappearance...

Suddenly, the boy heard footsteps coming from in front of him. Pulling up the blue hood to conceal most of his face, Noah focused his Mana and jumped about fifteen feet up. He flipped upside down and let his feet connect with the ceiling and hook to it. Maintaining focus, his energy dispelled gravity and kept his clothes and hair in place.

A single forever knight navigated under him with his sword in hand. Straining to get a better look at his target, Noah ignited the symbols: Eye-Sun, activating a spell that allowed him to see in the dark.

Noah focused his energy and kicked off the ceiling, diving right for the knight. He landed on the guy and pinned him to the ground. Before the target could do anything Noah pressed his hands on him and froze him in a thin layer of frost.

After heaving his unconscious target into a body shaped hole in the wall, Noah pressed on, knowing he was headed in the right direction.

"I guess those simulations paid off."

~Dark Void~

"King Cepheus, I assure you the weapon is as good as ours." Slade bowed before his King.

Cepheus nodded. "I'm aware. I also trust you know what must be done when you extract it from its prison."

"Yes, it's all according to plan. I will use it to re-energize you."

As Slade was dismissed he smirked under his mask. "It's not you who will be energized I fear. All according to plan... all according to plan... Goddess Lucinda will rise again."

~Noah~

Noah gripped a wall and started to scale it as silently as he could. He wasn't so good at it, but he learned how to use his Mana to increase his sensing range. He could feel his brother's presence as he got closer and closer.

After a few more minutes, Noah found what he was looking for. His father and brother were stuck in the middle of a dome. The dome itself was located in a giant chasm completely different looking than the rest of the catacombs. The dome was a faded yellow in color and was wide. Arum sat on a chair clearly unharmed which made Noah sigh with relief. With further scanning, Noah saw his father hunched over a table working. If he weren't focused on the mission, he'd cry with happiness; but he had a job to do.

"Phase 1: Find them. Check. Now for phase 2." Noah took in a deep breath and waited for a little while.

At the right time, he launched himself forward through the air. He extended his arms in all directions blasting every Knight in sight with his powers. Bursts of blue erupted everywhere, knocking the guards into next week.

Noah landed in front of the barrier and focused more energy into his palms.

"Noah!" Arum shouted with joy and relief. Hearing the name made Jack dart around. He made eye contact with his son and gave a nervous smile.

Noah thrust his hands forward and blasted the barrier, but it sent his force back at him. He then felt as if he were hit by a ton of bricks. The force of his attack knocked him onto his back and into a groggy daze.

"Well, well. What do we have here?" Came Twilight Blue's voice. Noah immediately felt a crash hit his head and send him into the hard ground.

"Fancy seeing you here, Legend Blue." Noah's counterpart casually said as he strolled across the boy's vision.

"Noah!" Yelled Jack as he banged on the barrier.

Blue shook his head and swiped a sword from a downed Knight. "Mr. Ryder, I do believe you need to work faster. Because I'm about to..." He raised the blade near Noah's neck.

"I'm almost done!" Jack screamed in desperation.

"Work faster or it'll be both sons!"

Noah couldn't move; his limbs felt heavy and his head was swimming with confusion. His head was still able to move and he spotted four points on the ceiling above them which were emitting faint yellow lights. He grinned and closed his eyes.

"Suffer, Legend Blue!"

Twilight Blue brought the blade down on Noah's neck. Arum screamed in horror as his brother was decapitated. However, something unexpected happened. Noah exploded into dust and stone.

Four pink energy arrows sailed through the air and struck the four points on the ceiling breaking the barrier.

Twilight Blue and his remaining forces looked around in shock as the real Noah swiftly beat through the Knights.

He landed next to his father and brother and took off his hood.

"How?" Slade demanded raising the sword.

"With a little help." Noah smirked, crossing his arms.

Right then, the Legend Rangers and Devlin dropped from above.

~Flashback~

Noah sat down waiting for Phase 2 to begin. Phase 1 was to find the target and leave a path for the others. His friends arrived with what was needed.

Liam set a big bowl in front of Noah and nodded. "Everything is good to go."

Jared placed his hand on Liam's shoulder and asked, "You sure you can do this?"

The boy nodded. "I'm positive." Tapping into his Sol-Garde heritage, Liam prepared his transmutation. He clapped his hands together as if he was praying then slammed the ground in front of the bowl with his palms. Green dust-like magic flowed from his hands and surrounded the pot in a circle.

"Now, Alicia." Jared beckoned.

"Emoc-Evila!" Alicia's pink energy flowed into the contents of the bowl and fused with Liam's green energy. The elements then fused together to form a carbon copy of Noah.

The two Noahs started at each other and both nodded. "Not bad." They complimented at the same time.

~End Flashback~

It then dawned on Twilight Blue, "You used a clone to gather information. Quite clever."

"And we're getting out of here!" Sonia pointed out.

"I highly doubt that. Attack, my forces!" Blue called.

The Rangers took fighting stances and charged forward to meet the Knights in battle. After a few minutes, the Rangers combined their Mana and sent forth a blast of energy to clear a path. Twilight Blue disappeared in a swirl of darkness.

"Let's move it!" Jared called. He materialized his morpher and spoke into it. "We're ready!"

Suddenly, the ground began to shake knocking the Rangers off balance.

"What's happening?" Chris asked as he back flipped away from a Knight.

"The entrance is collapsing!" Noah pointed out.

Alicia tried muttering escape spells but they wouldn't work. "Something's blocking my magic! I can't clear it out!"

"There's got to be another way out!" Asher stated.

"This way!" Jack beckoned as he grabbed the stone he had been working on. "There's a path that leads outside the city!"

Wasting no time, the group quickly filed out of the space as the area started to cave in on itself.

~Outside~

Everyone emerged from a destroyed temple like structure and made a break for the clearing. However, a blast of energy made the area burst upon impact. Smoke obscured everything and knocked the Rangers to the ground.

Jack screamed in pain as Noah called out, "Dad, no!"

Slade appeared in the air sending down more volleys of attacks. "I'll have to speed up my plan!" The masked fiend sent down a powerful burst of energy down onto the protective crystal and shattered it.

A silver Sleeve Blade with blue intricate linings floated to Slade and perched itself on the underside of his wrist.

"With this, I will re-energize She who will bring destruction to this planet!"

As Slade announced this, a statue appeared behind him in a burst of dark lights. The statue was made of marble and was in the shape of a woman sitting meditation style.

"Go, Twilight Blue!" Slade commanded as the evil Ranger appeared in the air.

The Twilight flew to the statue and announced, "Goddess Lucinda, I am your humble servant. I grant you this weapon full of mystical energy to empower you."

"Lucinda?!" Chris repeated.

"Who is she?" Sonia asked Jack.

Jack sighed clutching his bleeding arm. "Lucinda was a Warrior Goddess who was sealed away long ago. If she's resurrected, this world is as good as gone."

"Then we need to stop her!" Jared said. "Let's do it, guys!"

Noah said, "Go on ahead, I have to get my Dad and brother out."

"Right." Jared nodded.

With that, the Rangers morphed and ran at Slade with their weapons drawn.

"Come on, Dad." Noah helped his father up and led him away.

"Noah, we have to go back." Jack said. "I'm the only one who can stop this."

"What're you talking about?"

"Even if your friends defeat Slade, they won't be able to stop the process."

Noah nodded and told Arum to get to safety.

"No, I'm staying." Arum protested.

Nodding reluctantly, Noah had Arum help support their father back to the area.

Slade had risen a squad of Shiners to distract the Rangers while the statue of Lucinda absorbed the energy of the Slade. Noticing the Ryders's presence, Slade sent a burst of orange energy at the three.

Noah tried to move, but Jack stepped in the way and took the blast.

"Dad!" Noah cried out as Jack fell to the ground.

"Why'd you do that?" Noah demanded in saddened anger.

"I'm your father, Kiddo..." Jack flinched in pain. His upper body was burnt and a foul stench hit Noah's nose.

"Stay with me, Dad... You promised... you promised you'd tell me about your adventures..."

Jack laughed lightly and answered, "I did didn't I?"

Shiners came racing at the three, but Arum stepped up and distracted them with his Cryokinesis.

Noah's eyes started to water. "And, I use my camera all the time. I'm capturing memories like you told me to."

"I'm glad..." Jack smiled.

"I wanna show you... I'm gonna show you... I just... want you to be proud."

Noah stood up to leave but Jack grabbed his hand.

"Noah, I am and have always been proud of you."

Nodding and wiping tears from his eyes, Noah glared at Slade who was still in the air.

"I'm not afraid of you... his world isn't going to end... not today, not ever!" A blue transformation circle appeared under Noah's feet as the Spirit of Water appeared as an apparition behind him.

"Spirit Legend, Awaken!" In a swirl of blue lights, Noah stood ready for battle.

"Spirit of Water: Blue Legend Ranger!"

Noah whipped his arms up and started to surf forward on a personal wave. As he swept through the battlefield, he destroyed numerous Shiners with surges and bursts of water.

"Jared, you know what to do!" Noah called.

"Right!" Jared yelled back.

Both dematerialized their helmets and stared into each other's eyes.

~Noah's Heart~

As Jared passed into Noah's heart, he listened to the melody. In the beginning, it was the simple rise and fall of a dozen violins. Slowly but surely, the melody climbed into a symphony of voices, harps, pianos, and flutes as the surroundings took form.

Staring down, Jared saw the stained glass that represented Noah's heart was himself laying on his side in a fetal position. Over his head were four crystals colored: Red, Green, Yellow and Pink. Each crystal let off its own light.

Noah smiled and pulled out Noah's True Soul.

Jared whispered, "Hunter's Lens."

~Real World~

Jared pulled out Noah's True Soul which took the form of a silver gun shaped camera with a colorful lens.

Noah grabbed his Soul and charged at Slade. As he went along, more and more grunts went after him only to be met by a blast of blue energy from the camera.

When the blast hit them, the Shiners froze in place, lighting a picture within the film of a camera. Noah jumped into the air and was met by Twilight Blue in a ferocious fight.

"Curse you, Blue Ranger!"

The two clashed back and forth as blurs of color.

"You're too late, Ranger. The ceremony is almost complete! Lucinda will rise!"

"Your random plan is going nowhere!" Noah shouted back as he kicked Twilight Blue in the chest while snatching the Hidden Blade.

"You're finished!" Noah screamed as he let loose a huge amount of water from his left palm. Twilight Blue was met with tons of pressure and force, causing him to explode. With that, the Slade and the Shiners disappeared as well.

Noah landed in front of the glowing statue and fired a round from his True Soul. He attempted to freeze the ceremony then destroy it. However, every time he froze the statue, it'd break free and send him flying back.

"Why can't I do it?"

"You can do it, but not alone." Jack limped his way to his son and picked up the Hidden Blade. "We need to get close enough and destroy the statue."

Devlin protested, "Jack, it's too risky!"

"We need to or Lucinda will come back."

"This is the only way..." Noah said. He looked at Sonia who was crying and she nodded.

Within seconds, Noah and his Father stepped in front of the statue. The Blue Ranger charged up his True Soul and fired away freezing the ceremony. Jack then focused his Mana, grabbed his son's arm and threw him forward with large sums of force.

Noah used up the last of his power to super speed into Lucinda's statue. He withdrew the Hidden Blade on his right wrist and stabbed the statue in the forehead.

Immediately, Noah was enveloped in a bright light... he then fell away...

~Unknown~

"Am I dead?" Noah asked himself as he floated in an empty space.

"No." Jack's voice informed.

Noah met his father's eyes and asked, "What's going on?"

"You're going home."

"Just me? But..."

"We're swapping places."

Noah tried to protest, but his Father grabbed his arm. "I followed you into this subspace so I can save you. I'm proud that you trained, lived and fought for what you believe in. It's your job to keep on going."

"Dad, wait!" Noah called out as he was released into the real world...

~A Week Later~

Noah stood watching the night sky at an observation point with a saddened expression.

"I went through all that to lose you again... Dad... wherever you are... I miss you..."

Suddenly, a bright blue light came falling from the sky and landed right in front of him. The blue light subsided into nothing and Noah's face lit up.

~Ryder Residence~

Hilary Ryder had finished preparing dinner for her children. She called, "Kids, Dinner!" up the stairs and sat down in the kitchen. The front door opened and she knew it was Noah. Annoyed, she came through the hallways ranting, "Noah Quentin Ryder you're always coming back late and-"

Hilary's voice stopped dead in her throat when she saw not only her son... but Jack Ryder...

"Hey, hun... I'm back."

Hilary cried and pulled them both into a hug.

Noah smiled as he stepped out of the embrace.

"Daddy!" Mayflower and Daisy called running down the stairs.

"Hello, my darlings! I haven't seen you in a long time. Wow you've grown."

Arum stood next to Noah and put his arm around Noah's shoulder.

"You're getting tall, Arum." Noah commented. The boy was almost the same height as Noah himself.

"Right? Don't be surprised if I turn out to be the tallest."

Noah laughed to himself and shook his head.

After all those years, they could finally be a whole family again.
