The crowd is given some time to calm down, as the amount of money placed against Kyle begins to rise significantly, pretty much instantly giving him the highest bounty of any competitor in the Tournament. After a little bit, Ciqufrinz begins the next announcement as the next two fighters are raised into the Grand Arena.

"Come now, keep your wits about yourselves. I know you're displeased with the outcome of the last round, but there will be more time to root against Kyle in the future. For now, it's time for our ninth match of the first bracket! That's right, we're over halfway through this bracket! For this round, which we're calling 'Joke's on You!', we have two certified funny guys going hand to hand! It's Clown in the Background 1 facing off against Sprinkleman, the Regional Manager of Goblins! Let's find out which of these two will be getting the last laugh!" The crowd seems to calm down after the announcement, and it doesn't take long for Attota to blow the horn to indicate the start of the fight. Sprinkleman rolls up his sleeves and straightens his tie, while Clown in the Background 1 immediately retreats to the far end of the battlefield and stands in place. Sprinkleman clears his throat and speaks up, calling out across the Grand Arena.

"Hello, Clown in the Background 1! I am Sprinkleman! I would like to politely inform you of my Stand ability before we begin combat, so that you do not feel that I have defeated you unfairly! My Stand is called 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'! With its power, I become the sole dictator of who lives and dies in my presence, myself included! None can pass from this world to the next without my approval! In other words, you cannot kill me! Do you, perhaps, have a Stand of your own to fight me with? I noticed that the last round featured two Stand users facing off." Sprinkleman awaits a response, but Clown in the Background 1 remains still. However, a freak air conditioner malfunction causes a violent gust of wind throughout the crowd, which rips several small holes in magazines, and deposits the scraps on the sand in front of Sprinkleman. Together, the torn pieces of paper spell out "Insane Posse". Sprinkleman lets out an impressed whistle, though he isn't entirely sure what exactly the ability did to cause something like that. He remains at a standoff with Clown in the Background 1 for some time, before finally scampering across the sand to get closer. Before Sprinkleman can reach the clown, the ghost of Dave the Tool Guy, which is currently working on fixing the leak in the ceiling, accidentally turns the pressure the wrong way, and a huge blast of water shoots down to the ground, slicing through the sand and the tips of Sprinkleman's shoes before Dave can shut it off. Sprinkleman stumbles and curses, looking down at his now exposed toes. He decides that attempting to approach the clown directly might not be the best idea.

"That's a mighty powerful Stand ya got there. Insane Posse, was it? Well, just remember, it can't kill me, it can only piss me off! So you might as well just come over here so this can be done with!" Sprinkleman awaits a response in any form, but doesn't get one this time. He sighs and just tries to run forwards again, but the sand under his feet suddenly gives and crumbles away, falling down into the chamber that Drongo had dug out earlier to construct his robot. Sprinkleman clings to the ledge, cursing again.

"HEY, DOESN'T THIS COUNT AS BENDING THE RULES? THIS GUY IS RELYING ON OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE!" Sprinkleman yells, but his voice is drowned out as a particularly loud advertisement begins to play on one of the big screens at that exact moment. Sprinkleman pulls himself back over the ledge and moves away from the hole, which is now forming a rather large fissure between Sprinkleman and Clown in the Background 1. Sprinkleman looks for an easy way to cross it, but doesn't see anything that wouldn't have very obvious risks associated with it. He obviously doesn't fear death, but he would like to be as clean and concise with his victory as possible. Sprinkleman starts to pace back and forth in thought, narrowly avoiding as one of Tim Allen's business cards goes hurtling through the air past his head, having been carelessly thrown aside by someone from the audience. The business card continues hurtling through the air, before embedding itself directly in Clown in the Background 1's throat, causing him to flinch slightly, grasping at his neck as blood gushes out. Sprinkleman suddenly notices this, and lets out an incredulous laugh.

"Well well, looks like I didn't even have to do anything! Well, other than letting you die, of course! I, Sprinkleman, Regional Manager of Goblins, give Clown in the Background 1 permission to die!"

As soon as Sprinkleman utters this phrase, the sound of thunder can be heard, and Clown in the Background 1 slumps to the ground, lifeless. The crowd ooohs and aaahs, while Sprinkleman adjusts his tie again and is sent to the victors' area.

"What a cheap shot. He got what he deserved." Abercrombie scoffs, and Sprinkleman just shrugs.

"He was losing one way or another. Maybe he just took my advice and offed himself since he couldn't win. At the end of the day, he's not why I'm here. Gibble is."
