Every generation, a Slayer is born. One teen in all the world will stand against the Vampires, Demons and the forces of Darkness. Along with this prophecy is the Legend of the Slayer's Scythe, a weapon only for the chosen Slayer. Forged in Africa for the original Slayer, it disappeared in the wake of her death. However... its energy has revealed its location for the first time in hundreds of years...

~Dark Void~

Alviss had enough. He learned the truth behind his true identity for a while. Walking through the numerous halls of the castle, he walked out to the balcony outside his room. The Dark Void was surrounded by a sky of darkness. The Twilightians, very human in appearance, lived their lives not knowing the touch of the sun. He felt regret swell up inside of him. He turned away and met the eyes of his father. The two nodded; they had to talk to the Rangers.

~California~

"Hawaii, here we come!" Sonia stated excitedly as she ran into the airport with Alicia following behind. Every year, the school would split students up into different groups. These groups, based on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices of the students themselves, would go on a field trip to some part of the world.

This trip consisted of the Rangers and numerous Seniors and Juniors. Tobias went to Greece and Lydia settled on Japan. The three big international trips typically consisted of Juniors and Seniors because they all got first pick.

"Exciting right?" Alicia agreed as she set her bags down.

"What're you looking forward to?" Liam asked Noah as the two walked in with their luggage.

"I've been dying to check out the underwater ruins." Noah informed, holding up the travel guide.

"How about you Jared?"

"Just enjoying the sunshine... Which would be great with you guys... but..."

"But what?" Noah asked.

Jared sighed and pointed behind him. Melissa Gordon, Jared's Mom, walked into the airport with Cody. She herself had her own luggage.

"My Mom's coming along to visit our family..."

"It could be worse, good buddy." Chris laughed lightly slapping Jared's back.

The flight was rather long and boring, but the excitement was palpable as the Rangers took in the warmth of Hawaii's Big Island.

"Look at the water!" Liam pointed out excitedly. After checking into the hotel, the students and their chaperones were all on a ferry looking and admiring the numerous landscapes. The Rangers could all see to the bottom of the water from the boat itself. The teens all wore typical beach clothing. Of course, the Rangers chose to wear the respective colors; specifically, the guys wore striped sleeveless shirts, black shorts and sneakers while the girls wore tank tops, short shorts and sandals.

"That's amazing." Noah replied by snapping pictures with his camera.

"It's beautiful." Sonia commented as she linked her arm through Noah's. Smiling at the wonderful sights, Alicia felt something in head pulse. For the first time in a long time, a premonition hit her.

She found herself surrounded by numerous multi-colored Shadowlites. It was only her and she couldn't hold her own. The Shadowlites released all sorts of elemental attacks on her. She felt herself fall to the ground in pain. The streets of the Hawaiian city she was in were being destroyed and floating in the air was a dark figure.

Snapping back to reality, she realized she was gripping the metal rails tight.

"Alicia, are you ok?" Jared asked, placing his hand on her shoulder.

"I had a bad vision... it's-" Suddenly, a clap of thunder echoed across the sky as the clouds began to turn dark and shift around blocking out the sun.

"What's happening?" Chris asked, looking around.

Shadowlites began to fall from the sky, but they weren't their usual grey; instead they were crimsons, yellows, and neon greens; just like in Alicia's vision.

They landed on the shore near the ferry and attacked whoever was in sight with fire and lightning attacks.

"We have to stop them!" Jared said. "Let's go!"

Nodding, the Rangers jumped off the ferry and focused their Mana into their feet. They all landed on the water like it was solid ground and dashed for the shore.

Jared jumped forward and kicked a special Shadowlite away from a family and flipped another onto its back.

"Run!" He told the scared civilians.

Noah ran up to a few attackers and made quick work of them with powerful punches. Liam raised a barrier between more fleeing civilians and Shadowlites while Sonia, Alicia, Chris and Asher jumped in and beat them down.

"They're tougher!" Noah noticed as the monsters kept getting up. He threw a swift punch, but was blocked and thrown over head. Landing on his back, he groaned in pain.

Liam side flipped in front of Noah to protect him; the boy kicked the Shadowlite in the chest and sent it flying. Another tackled the boy and was about to bash his head into the sand, but Alicia telekinetically threw the attacker away. Sonia was having trouble as well, and was eventually sent flying into the air only for Chris to orb up to her and catch her.

Asher front hand sprung and tornado kicked two Shadowlites in the face and saw that Jared was surrounded. He quickly orbed to the Slayer to back him up. Jared blocked as much as he could but the rapid kicks and fists came in from all directions. When Asher appeared next to him, the Light-Watcher threw psychic waves around to help Jared.

The Slayer thanked the boy and proceeded to fight off the remaining attackers. After a while, the Rangers couldn't gain the upper hand and were forced together.

"These things are something else." Liam commented as he panted.

"We have to morph." Chris stated placing his ring on his finger. Before they could, for some reason, Alviss appeared above them.

"You!" Jared pointed.

"This isn't what you think!" Alviss tried to reason. He too looked battered from battle.

"Let's go guys!" Jared said, materializing his morpher.

"Spirit Legend, Awaken!"

Now with their personal weapons drawn, the Rangers split off and barreled their way through the new threats. Jared, however, went straight for Alviss. The two clashed in an air battle with their swords.

"What're you doing here, Alviss?" Jared demanded.

"It's not what you think!" Alviss repeated. "I didn't know this would happen!"

As the battle on the beach raged on, the classmates of the Rangers were hiding on the docked Ferry looking on. Cody desperately searched the deck of the boat for his brother but couldn't find him. He then felt the urge to run toward the fighting, feeling as if Jared was there. Following the instinct, he snuck off the boat.

Jared glowed with a red aura and charged forward. Alviss met him with the same force and the two plummeted to the ground.

"Jared!" Chris called out as he sliced through multiple Shadowlites with his Zwei-Sword.

"Let's finish them!" Noah called out summoning the Legend Burst Cannon.

"Fire!" The Rangers shouted, destroying the group of Shadowlites at once. Unfortunately, something else took place; for out of the ground came the sound of drums beating.

This caused Alviss and Jared to stop fighting all together. As the drum beating got louder and louder, ninja cloaked figures appeared from nowhere. They all wielded swords, daggers and axes.

Letting out battle cries, they attacked the Rangers and Alviss.

"What now?!" Asher asked as he rolled away from an attack.

"Stay on the defensive!" Liam replied, raising his stone shields.

"What are they?" Sonia called out as she jumped through the air.

Alviss and Jared stood back to back and fought together in perfect synchrony. They then thrust their hands forward and let fire fly from their palms. Jared's bright red and orange flames swirled with Alviss's sapphire blue flames, which came from a sigil, and destroyed the attackers.

At that moment, Cody was in close range of the battle and didn't turn away from the danger. That's when it happened; Jared felt a familiar tingle on the palm of his left hand. Involuntarily, he demorphed and saw the Triquetra shine bright. At the same time, Alviss's left hand glowed with a Triquetra of his own!

"Jared?!" Came Cody's voice. The Slayer turned to see Cody's shocked face. What surprised Jared as well was the wince that came from Cody right after. The boy looked down at his left hand and his eyes widened; Cody too had a Triquetra emblazoned on his left hand.

"No way..." Jared whispered. Suddenly, the ground began to shake and two portals opened in the sky. Jared and Alviss were sucked into one while Asher, Sonia and Liam were sucked into the other.

"No!" Noah called out to his friends as the portals closed.

"What happened to them?" Chris asked. The attackers were gone and Cody was on the ground unconscious.

"What just happened?" Alicia wondered as she knelt down and demorphed.

Off in the distance, the three saw Melissa Gordon running toward them with a worried look.

"Cody!" She panted as she knelt by her son.

"Do you know if he's ok?" Alicia asked.

"He'll be fine... He's just unconscious." Melissa sighed in relief. "I think it's time for you to know what's going on. Come with me."

~Liam, Asher, Sonia~

When Sonia regained consciousness, she felt a cool surface against her back. It didn't take long for her to realize that it was a wooden floor. Opening her eyes, she pulled herself to a sitting position, Liam and Asher were still asleep next to her. Looking around, Sonia found that they were lying in a very fancy, but traditional Hawaiian looking house. They were in a living room sort of area that opened up to the beach and ocean on one side.

As Asher and Liam shook themselves awake, a youthful voice said, "I see you're all awake."

Looking toward the inside of the house, the three met the eyes of a young boy who was around their age. He had dark tan skin, black hair and stormy grey eyes. He wore a sky blue button down shirt, which was unbuttoned, and tan shorts. His bare feet had bits of sand stuck onto them. Around his neck was a shell charm necklace.

"How're you feeling?" He asked calmly.

"A little tired actually..." Sonia replied. "Who are you? Where are we?"

"My name is Kai. I was told to help you."

"Help us?" Liam asked sitting up. Kai nodded, "I see you're lost in more ways than one."

Asher queried, "Do you know what those things were?"

~Noah, Alicia, Chris~

"Those Shadowlites are a different kind of Twilight." Melissa explained.

"Wait." Cody interrupted, "What are those things called?"

Alicia perked up, "How do you know? Mrs. Gordon, do you remember?"

"The truth is," Melissa explained to the teenagers, "I do remember. Hilary didn't tell you the full truth. When she gained her memories back, so did I. And so did the rest of your parents. While you continued to fight the Twilight, we gathered… We had some responsibilities to take care of. Things that we didn't want to involve you with.

~Alviss and Jared~

Jared had woken up to see Alviss sitting near him, staring him down. Immediately, the Slayer kipped up and took a defensive stance.

"I'm not here to fight." Alviss attempted to make peace with a sincere tone.

"You show up with those Shadowlites? Pretty convenient."

"I'm here because those things were coming! Just let me explain." Before he could, numerous colored Shadowlites dropped from the sky and landed around them with jagged swords and axes.

"Looks like that'll have to wait." Alviss pointed out.

"Fine." Jared replied, readying his morpher.

~Noah, Alicia, Chris~

"So it's true." Noah confirmed. "The pieces were there, but we couldn't put them together."

Melissa nodded again, "We lived in Bayview years ago being the guardians of the Twilight Seal. At that point in time, it acted as a Supernatural Magnet that drew evil from all around. It was our job to protect everyone. A few years after you were all born, your powers were traced by the Forever Knights. Jack Ryder was sent to erase their information to protect you."

~Liam, Sonia, Asher~

"Those Shadowlites are disciples of a Twilight General who was sealed away by a magical family, the Okalani." Kai explained.

~Noah, Alicia, Chris~

"You know more." Noah pressed.

"Aka Oahi Kaua, translated as Shadow Sword, a Twilight General sealed by my family, was a malevolent foe. He was also our last battle as a group. Knowing the threat he presented, we met him in battle."

Cody interrupted once more, his head still spinning from the intake of what he learned that day. "Do you also mean Dad?"

"And my parents too?" Alicia asked in disbelief.

Melissa nodded and recalled what had happened.

~FLASHBACK~

A younger Matthew Gordon, Melissa Gordon, Jack Ryder, Hilary Ryder, Henry Morgan, Lily Morgan, Elizabeth Gregory, Melody Ford, and Leonard Paige were all battle torn. Christina Paige, Leonard's wife, a Light-Watcher, hid in the background while her friends fought.

They were in a wide Hawaiian field that was initially grassy green. However, the recent battle had torn it up into a demolition ground.

"We can't let him get to the Volcano!" Matthew reminded his friends as he blasted Shadow Sword with emerald colored fire.

"Your powers won't work on me! You should know that!" Shadow Sword taunted. The General looked more like a Japanese War Armored General. His oriental styled armor was heavily covered in blacks and reds. He handled a massive sword that glowed as if it was alive.

"Those days are gone!" Matthew shot back as he raised a basketball sized stone from the ground, set it on fire and shot the blazing green projectile at the General.

Scowling, Shadow Sword launched a huge wave of red and black energy at the group. Melissa held out her hands and uttered the incantation that activated her witch powers, "Ekano Paulu!"

Three orange golf ball sized energy spheres whizzed out from her aura and connected in front of her hands. In a beautiful swirling way, they combined to create an orange triangular shield that expanded into a triangular wall to block the incoming attack.

The energies collided and shook the ground with powerful waves. When the assault subsided, Melissa let down the shield. Elizabeth raised the Earth to bind the general.

Lily used her Witch Power of Weather Control to call up storm clouds. Melody and Henry raised their arms into the air and attracted lightning bolts. With a loud yell, they redirected the bolts with their own electricity at the target to paralyze him.

"Moku Paulu!" Melissa chanted sending an orange orb from her hand. The orb soared forward and flattened into a spinning disc. The disc was razor sharp and sliced into the General's armor, creating a tear. Immediately, Jack Ryder, in a flash, sliced into the gash with his Hidden Blades. He then activated the Sigils on his back. He pressed his hands into the gash and let loose a blast of liquid nitrogen, freezing the general, making him howl in pain.

Roaring, Shadow Blade forced the fighters onto their backs with a powerful energy attack.

"We have to finish this." Matthew grunted getting to his legs.

Jack pointed out, "If Melissa can use the sealing spell on him, there could be a chance."

Elizabeth, clearing her face of her chestnut brown hair, focused her green eyes onto her friends. "Melissa would need a lot of time to do it."

Leonard concluded, "It's a risk we'll have to take; for our children and the world."

Melody nodded. "Let's do it!"

Melissa said, "I just need to focus. Buy me time."

"That's what we're here for." Matthew told his wife. With that, everyone rushed Shadow Blade at once.

Melissa took in a deep breath, and entered a meditative stance. Speaking in Hawaiian, she whispered a summoning incantation.

"Come to me..." She chanted, clasping her hands together. "The Beads passed down from generation to generation of my family. Cross the divide, Okalani Ten-Eighty Beads!"

Using her family's ancient magic, Melissa summoned 1080 tiny beads bound together like a large necklace. They were smooth and pearl-like; each glowing a magnificent cyan shade.

"Scatter!" She commanded. "Spirits of the Okalani Family line, fuse your power into each bead and bind he who brings destruction!"

"It's working!" Leonard pointed out.

"No!" Shadow Blade struggled as the beads trapped him with their power. Within seconds, the General sunk into the ground. The place where he stood was covered by a stone man in a meditating seated position.

"It's over..." Melissa whispered, dropping to her knees.

~End Flashback~

Melissa concluded, "Your parents and I fought to keep you all safe..."

After taking a few moments to absorb the new information, Noah perked up. "How does Alviss fit into this?"

"After the battle, we went home. During the flight, we were attacked. My family... all five of us were separated.

"Five?" Chris asked. "Isn't it just you, your husband, and your sons?"

~Alviss and Jared~

"Wanna tell me why you came here in the first place?" Jared asked as he demorphed.

Looking around, Alviss said, "Follow me." The boy led the Slayer to a destroyed mountain range. What used to be a beautiful landscape was a scarred land."

Alviss explained, "Years ago, your family was attacked on an airplane..."

~Melissa Gordon~

"Yes, it was. But I had three sons; Jared, Cody, and Scott. We had triplets."

~Alviss and Jared~

"What your mother didn't tell you... was that she lost a child."

"What?" Jared asked in disbelief. He hung on every word and soon, it connected.

"No..." He whispered.

~Melissa Gordon~

"The reason Cody, Jared, and Alviss have the Triquetra on their hands is because..."

~Alviss and Jared~

"Yes, Jared... I'm your brother. And our father? Roxas... or rather, Matthew Gordon."
