Ollivanders was renowned for being the place to get starter Pokémon in Erseen. Mr. Ollivander's process to choose a starter could not be duplicated. That was why Mr. Ollovander still worked with every incoming student till this day. People had tried to replicate the t3chniques used by ollivander. During the great Erseen Pokémon war, ollivander had been made a target by one faction in order to try and steal his techniques. Of course their plan failed and Ollivander was safe and sound. Now he continued to work with future students of Hogwarts.

Nick, Alexa, and Viola moved slowly into the doorway of the shop. Nick and Viola's eyes lit up in amazement. There were rows and rows of shelves filled with pokeballs. The shelves seemed to go on forever. In front of the shelves was a simple desk. An older man stood behind the desk. A blue, humanoid Pokémon with a top hat and what appeared o be a mustache stood next to the older man.

"Ah. Mr Baldwin and Ms. Wulf, we have been expecting you.", the old man offered a smile. Viola and nick shot each other a look. How did this old man know who they were? Viola looked at her sister who just shrugged. The man gave a chuckle. "I do have my secrets. But please, allow me to make formal introductions. I am Ollivander and this here is my Mr. Rime, Charlie."

The humanoid Pokémon bowed its head. Nick and Viola smiled and returned the bow. Alexa meanwhile stood to the corner. This was not her time to shine. She had already gotten her beloved Volpan from Mr. Ollivander. She wanted to see what Nick and her sister were going to get. Viola had said she wanted a Volpan as well, but that's not how Ollivander worked. Each Pokémon was unique to each would be trainer. She was very curious to see which Pokémon her sister would get. She watched intently as Viola and Nick walked up to the counter.

"Now who would like to go first?", before nick could respond Viola had jumped in front of him. "Mr. Olivander, I'll go first!", the pushy blonde announced. Nick just rolled his eyes at Viola's antics. Sure she was pushy, but this was a new level. Viola looked over her shoulder at nick and stuck out her tongue. It was her payback for him being so late.

"Very good, Ms. Wulf.", Olivander smiled and nodded. He looked over to his Mr. Rime. "Charlie, you can entertain Mr. Baldwin. Ms. Wulf, you may follow me." Olivander started to walk down one of the aisles of his shop. He motioned for Viola to follow him. The blonde gulped and looked towards her sister. This wasn't what Viola had imagined when she had heard about Olivander's shop. Viola meanwhile gave Viola a thumbs up and nodded. Viola took another deep breath and followed the legend. At least she was one step closer to becoming a Pokémon master.

Olivander carefully moved his hand along one of the shelves. His f8ngers twiddled as he looked for the perf3ct Pokémon. He would occasionally look back at Viola for a few m9ments then look at the shelves. Viola watched intently. "I just hope this guy is as good as his reputation", Viola didn't want to get stuck with a horrific Pokémon. Afterall she eventually wanted to surpass Alexa. She just needed to get off to a good start.

"Your mother was a beautiful, eager, and tremendous trainer of fire Pokémon. Perhaps you will follow in her footsteps." Viola stopped dead in her tracks. Her face turned a ghostly shade of white. Olivander had mentioned her mother. Of course Alyssa Poole's name was not something most people spoke with reverence. In fact most people detested Alyssa Poole after what had happened. The fact that Olivander spoke of her mother with reverence shocked the 18 year old.

Olivander's hands then moved to another section of pokeballs. These pokeballs were a mixture of light and dark green. "Your father was a great bug trainer. Probably the best I have ever encountered.", olivander's voice trailed off for a bit. Viola lowered her head. She hadn't known her father. He had disappeared long before she was born. All she had to remember him by was his last name, Wulf, and the stories Alexa told her. Alexander Wulf had disappeared just at the onset of the Great Pokemon War. Some conspiracy theories had claimed he was the first victim of the Dearh Eaters. Other theories said he had broken his wife out of Azkaban. Whatever the case, Viola never met him.

Viola was so intruded by Olivander. How did he know her parents? It was quite odd. Olivander meanwhile paused for a second and flared at the blonde. "Hmmm I wonder", he then smirked. His hands hovered over a completely red pokeball. Viola's green eyes followed along. She had never seen a pokeball like this before. "I believe, we have found your Pokémon.", Olivander pulled the red ball down from the shelf. Viola was shaking from both nervousness and joy.

The Pokémon guru handed the red ball to Viola. "Go ahead and open it.", Olivander said with a smile. Viola's eyes widened as she stared at the red ball. It felt strangely warm in her hand. As if the sun itself was now in her possession. She looked up at the Pokémon master, who continued to just smile at her.

"Um how do I open this", Viola held the red ball up to Olivander. She had seen Alexa open a regular ball, but this was a ball she had never seen before. Olivander just chuckled. "The cherish ball works just like a regular pokeball, my dear. Just push the middle button.", he mimed on how to do it. Viola felt like a dunce as she nodded. Her fingers made their way up the center of the cherish ball. She took a deep breath as she pressed the button.

A red light emerged from the pokeball. Out of the pokeball came a spider like pokemon. The back end of the spider Pokémon was ablaze with fire. Two eye shaped marks were on the end of the Pokémon. The spider Pokémon stared up with both eyes at Viola and Olivander. The spider turned its head revealing the creatures fangs.

"Pyra?", the spider Pokémon said. Olivander nodded, "this is a pyranche. It's both a fire and bug type." Viola did not move. She just stared at the fire-spider Pokémon. Usually girls would have been creeped out by the bug Pokémon. But Biola was different. She rushed over to the pyranche and scooped it into her arms.

"It's adorable! I'm going to call you Blaze.", the blonde held the Pokémon up to her face and nuzzled her cheek to the pyranche. The fire spider of course did not like this and the flame on its back grew larger. Viola did not seem to notice or care that a bit of her hair was on fire.

Olivander swiftly moved over and managed to blow the flames from Viola's hair out. "Careful Ms. Wulf, Pyranche's are extremely temperamental." He watched as Viola set the Pyranche down. "Don't worry, Charlie will get you all set up with your Pokédex and other items that you need for your Pyranche." Viola nodded as she took all of it in.

"Thank you Mr. Olivander. I was just so excitied that I forgot that I needed to be careful.", Viola would bow to Blaze as an apology too. Alexa had told her to be respectful of Pokémon's space. Clearly Viola had not paid attention to that. The Pokémon was probably confused too. Viola watched as Blaze just continued to stare around, taking everything in.

Olivander nodded, "well let's head back up front. I'm sure the others are growing impatient." Viola nodded. "Try and allow your Pyranche to get used to it's surroundings. Leave it out of the pokeball." Viola nodded again. She would do just that.

Nick meanwhile was trying to figure out what was taking so long. He paced along the shop and tried to peer around Charlie, the Mr. Rime. But Charlie was doing a good job of blocking Nick's view. Olivander has left specific instructions that no one was to see the process of giving the new trainer their starting Pokémon. Alexa meanwhile was getting anxiety from watching Nick pace around the store so much.

"Will you calm down.", Alexa sighed. She just shook her head. "It's not a quick process." She hoped she was not like this when she came to Olivander when she turned 18. This was embarrassing. Still she wondered how Viola was doing. Alexa hoped that viola had gotten a good starter. She stroked Sparks' fur in anticipation of seeing what Viola had gotten.

"Hey guys", Alexa and Nick's attention turned to behind the Mr. Rime. Viola emerged with a large smile on her face. The Pyranche sat on her right shoulder, still taking everything in. Olivander followed behind Viola with a large smile on his face. Alexa's face frowned. In fact she turned ghostly pale as she looked at what sat on her sister's shoulder.

"What in Arceus's name is that!", Alexa pointed a quivering at Blaze. "V, you have a spider on your shoulder!" Alexa detested bug Pokémon. Her mother had kept a few when she was younger, but the brunette hated them. They creeped her out. Even at hogwarts, Alexa had tried to stay far away from the bug trainers. The fact that her sister now had one confused and disgusted her.

Viola meanwhile simply stroked the body of Blaze. "Come on Alexa. Blaze here is cool. He's a Fire and Bug pokemon. Isn't that neat!" 'Neat' was not how Alexa would describe the bug Pokémon. She made a gagging reflex as viola shook her head at her sister. Sparks' meanwhile leapt off of Alexa's body and onto the floor. Sparks stared at the new fire bug Pokémon.

"Vol?", Sparks tilted his head as his blue eyes stared at Blaze. Blaze returned the look as it leapt off Viola's shoulder. Blaze mimicked Sparks' movements. "Pyranche?", the two Pokémon would move closer and started sniffing around each other. Olivander watched intently.

"Well I would say that these two are getting on well together.", he turned to see where Nick was standing. "Mr. Baldwin it's your-", he could not get the words out. Nick had already moved closer to the aisles of pokeballs.

Ooc: Thanks for those who have read this so far. The first few chapters will be setting the scene of things to come. I decided to go with Fakemon because every combination of Pokémon has already been used. This was a different take.
