Jack eventually stepped out of the cabin and watched Lady Felicity walking around the deck. He could tell she was enjoying the salty fresh air of being on the sea. Sometimes she would look up at the sun and close her eyes. She would smile when she felt its warmth.

He still remembered when they met. He had snuck into Port Royal to find out some information he needed about something. Then at one point he spotted some EITC guards on the dock. So he needed to take another route to his destination. When he turned around he accidentally walked into someone. It was a very good looking woman. He went to apologize but was stunned by her beauty. It took a minute for Jack to regain his composure before apologizing to the lady.

Lady Felicity was surprised to see a pirate bump into her so the shock stopped her from calling the guards over before he could run away. "So sorry my beautiful lady. But I must go. But I hope you will always remember this as the day you met Captain Jack Sparrow." He said before slipping away.

Her eyes widened at his name. "Before you go sir can you kiss my hand?" He was surprised at her request but did as she asked before saying goodbye and slipped away quickly and quietly.

Unknowingly to Jack at the time, she decided to follow the pirate. Eventually he spotted her but pretended not to, not wanting to risk getting her in trouble or attracting any attention from the guards. So he asked his good friend Mr. Gibbs who the woman was. That was how he learned that she was a high society lady.

Later that evening on the Black Pearl he thought about the mysterious woman again. Before leaving the town he tried to find her again to say goodbye. But he couldn't find her.

She remembered that day too.

After dinner that evening she had bathed and was not allowed to leave the manor. Otherwise she would have gone to the dock to say goodbye. She sighed. "Busy day Miss?" Her maid asked. Felicity sighed again.

"Opposite actually. It was very dull. 'Except for when I met that pirate.'

The following morning Lord Jonathan Addams came to call on her. He was attempting to court her. He seemed like a nice gentleman. But he didn't manage to get her interest. He didn't make her heart pound whenever he showed up. She didn't get a million butterflies in her stomach whenever he walked into the same room as her. So she knew that he was not the one for her.

Lady Felicity genuinely tried to give him a chance but she just wasn't attracted to him. Instead she eventually started to subconsciously compare him with Jack Sparrow. But he just wasn't as good as the pirate.

As time went on his more violent traits started to show. She began to fear him. After about a month the big day came. The fateful one.

He had finally decided to propose. She tried to turn him down as gently as she could. But Felicity wasn't expecting to be hit. It stung and she saw stars for a few seconds. "I would much rather be with Captain Jack Sparrow."

He didn't seem like the type of man that would hit a woman. She had no doubts that he was a drinker but she didn't think he was a violent one.

Lord Jonathan's eyes narrowed. "You would prefer a pirate over me, a proper English gentleman?" He hissed. For a second she thought he was going to hit her again but instead he merely stormed out.

About an hour later her father came home and demanded that she accept Lord Addams. She flat out refused before retiring to her bedroom. Later that evening when everyone was asleep she packed a small bag of personal items such as clothes, jewelry, money, and some toiletries.

Then she went to the dock to see if the Black Pearl was on the horizon. When she couldn't see it she took a carriage to Tortuga. It took her a good hour before she could find someone willing to take her to a ship that was leaving to go there. She paid the driver a handsome amount to keep his mouth shut about helping her.

The captain was hesitant to let her on the boat at first but she paid him a fair amount of money too. Then he was all too willing to help her.

A few days later they reached her destination. She thanked the captain and she got off the boat. Felicity hoped that it would be easy to find Jack but after seeing how big the town was, that wouldn't be the case. But no matter, she wouldn't give up.
