So it's that time. This is the chapter where I explain my thoughts about Power Rangers: Next Legend. So where do I begin?

I guess I'll start from the beginning. I was around fifteen when I came up with the idea and had no clue as to what I wanted to do. All I knew is that I wanted it to be a mixture of action and romance.

After practicing with a different Power Rangers Adaptation, Goseiger if you're curious, I found the confidence and writing style to start.

A big struggle for me was the planning of the series. See, I knew how I wanted to start and end the story. The problem was, "How do I get there?"

So with this question in mind, I sat down, thought about it, watched Power Rangers on Netflix to try and get some inspiration, and slept on it was well.

Truth be told, the majority of the plots from the episodes were based on dreams I had, particularly the Dream attack episode as well as Caroban Academy. Now for my thoughts on the Rangers and their allies.

Jared Gordon - Jared came to mind when I talking to one of my close friends who actually had a twin separated from him at birth. This gave me the inspiration to write up Cody and Scott as well. I wanted Jared to kind of be a stick-in-the-mud at first due to his scarred past and experience of fighting alone for a year. Of course, that fell through after his Sacrifice.

What I liked about Jared was his True Soul, King's Right Arm. It really shows how connected he feels to those around him.

Noah Ryder - Noah had mixed feelings for me. I was constantly changing his actor, power and name finally settling on 'Noah' literally RIGHT before Noah Carver was announced for Megaforce. Nothing could really be told for him, I just used what his creator wanted me to use.

I loved how brash and impulsive he was at first, but learned to tone it down as the series progressed, evident in when he became second in command.

Alicia Morgan - By far, one of my most powerful OCs ever. Created by Zania330, I didn't expect Alicia to be so important at first. I had no idea what I wanted to do with her; I knew though that I wanted a Ranger romance but I just couldn't pair her up with anyone due to her first actress. However, I was reminded by the girls dorm next door that there was a second option. It was then that I casted Crystal Reed as Alicia so I could use the scenes of her and Tyler Poser (Jared's Actor) together whenever I made videos.

I have no complaints about Alicia's overpower. She's mature now and keeps a cap over it so she won't lose control.

Liam Gregory - I wanted a tragic hero type Ranger on the team, thus creating the baseline for Liam. I filled in the details with what his creator gave me but I implemented elements and traits from my own life to help this character come alive. As you all know by now, his real world darkness made him a different kind of character and that's why I love him.

Sonia Ford - I also wanted a Ranger related to a veteran. So of course, I chose a season that I was fond of growing up: Dino Thunder. Again, I used what her creator gave me but I added a few qualities to make her similar but different from Kira.

Asher Gordon - Another thing on my want list, there're LOTS of things on that list, was a plot twist. I had no idea how I wanted to do so. I did know that I wanted a possible Dark Future in case the Rangers failed but I didn't know how to connect that to the story. Thus, Asher was born. To tie things tightly and give him a reason to come back, I made him the son of Alicia and Jared. A quick note that worked out great was that Connor Paolo (Asher's actor) kind of resembles Jared and Alicia's Actors.

Julianna Sanchez - Probably my favorite Ranger. Created by Starwriter, she too was a tragic hero. She knew her destiny would kill her, but she did not waver. Like I stated before, I cried when I wrote her death and as soon as I did, I modified the ending to bring her back. However, I did so in away that wouldn't seem cheap; and boy I'm glad I did!

Chris Paige - Nothing really can be said about Chris. He's a torn character being pulled between his demon nature and his goodness nature. I couldn't really do much with him given the time restraints. I still loved him because of his dual identities.

Dr. Wells and Raven - Admittedly, I didn't know what to do with these two. They weren't as effective as other mentors, but still more effect than Gosei (xD Just saying), but I gave the reasoning that the Rangers were growing beyond them as an excuse. One thing I'll try to do is make a more effective mentor for the future.

Lydia and Tobias - Of course, the human friends who kick ass in the end. Lydia and Tobias, based off of my favorite Teen Wolf Characters Lydia and Stiles, played their roles as support well. As time went on, they became heroes in their own right from all they've done and will do!

Overall: Next Legend was a fun ride for me. The struggles, successes and everything in between helped me grow as a writer. There were a few inconsistencies and plot holes but when are there not? I give a personal grade of B+. I'll see you all in Cyber Fusion!

Later Days and Write On!

And check out the Wiki Page! I updated the Rangers one last time as well as added the new Team Photo of the Core Five (Note: The Photo is poorly photoshopped. I'm still trying to improve my skill)
