Disclaimer: I don't own Pirates of the Caribbean. Disney does.
Whenever they stopped at Tortuga or a town like it Felicity would get extremely jealous when seeing Jack with the other women. But when that would happen she would remind herself that he didn't belong to her. He was just her captain and she was just another member of the crew. That was all their relationship would ever be. She would just have to be satisfied with that.
But sometimes it was so hard. She knew that he was only using the other women for a good time however it still grated on her nerves.
It also annoyed her when she happened to hear him tell Gibbs that his only love was the sea.
"Seriously?" She mumbled to herself as she walked away. "What about other people? Isn't there someone he loves? Everyone deserves someone to love and to be loved in return."
"Not everyone would agree with that." Marty said.
Felicity slightly jumped she didn't know anyone heard her. "There's another pirate lord in Singapore named Sao Feng who hates Captain Jack. He certainly wouldn't want for our captain to be in love or have someone love Jack in return. Same goes for Davy Jones. But thankfully he's no longer alive." She had nothing to say in reply. She had never heard of the first person that he mentioned, but she definitely knew who Jones was. When his name was brought up, she let out a slight shiver. Marty apologized for mentioning his name.
"It's alright. I just did not know that he and Jack knew each other personally. You merely surprised me, that's all. I just wish Jack had a person that he loves. He should."
Marty nodded and then they both got back to work. Neither one of them noticed near the end of the conversation that Jack was starting to watch them. Nor did they know that he heard the last thing Felicity said. He began to wonder if she loved, or was in love, with him.
Jack kept his eyes on her from time to time. He originally told himself that he was simply making sure Felicity was adjusting alright. But eventually that became a flimsy excuse. It was clear that she was a natural sailor.
Sometimes when he wasn't looking directly at her he would notice her looking at him out of the corner of his eye. Jack knew that, physically speaking, Felicity wanted him. But they kept a respectful distance from each other. Neither one of them trusted themselves not to do anything that they would regret later on.
