Zero and X walked to their first class, math. As other students walked in, they all got acquainted. after every student had taken a seat at a desk, the teacher walked into class. He was a tall reploid, with a black suit over a white shirt and green cuff clasps. He had a straight, stern face, made more stern by the almost police looking hat on his head.

"Welcome, everyone, to Algebra. I am Signas, and I will be your teacher for the rest of the year. I will now call attendance." Signas began to call roll, with X and Zero sharing a look since they were likely to be called last. As it seemed the teacher was reaching the end of the alphabetical list he read. "And, is it pronounced 'Vava?'"

"It's pronounced 'Baba', sir!" The whole class turned their heads as a student in the middle back row stood up and rested his left leg on his chair. He was a pale, lean looking reploid, sporting a purple short sleeved shirt with black pants and shoes. His hair was short, yet messy, and he sported scarlet eyes. He seemed to eye up the students around him, as if he were debating which he'd like to befriend or fight. He grinned with a confidence that seemed almost defiant to whoever he was addressing.

Signas was unfazed by this display. "I see. Thank you, Vava (he's pronouncing it correctly now). Sit down." The class shifted their attention back towards Signas. Vava complied, having lost the gaze of the crowd.

School went normally for X and Zero for the rest of the day until they had PE class. The students were getting changed, and as the boys were in the locker room, some began to gauge each other's strength. This was the case between Vile and Zero, as they and X shared this class as well. "So then you're Zero, eh? you seem tough." Vile remarked as he approached Zero, who had taken his shirt off at this point as Vava had. "And you would be Vava. You're no slouch yourself," Zero returned. The two shook hands, but both seemed to understand that this was a first test. The two reploids didn't let go, gripping each other slightly harder now. Both were looking to see who would break from this first. It was no declaration of war, but rather a friendly mutual trial. X, for his part, was nervous in a for a few reasons. He had never changed with other boys before, so he was feeling a bit embarrassed. More embarrassing to him was the sight of Zero and Vava as they had their little face off. Vava was lean, but still had good amount of muscle all around. As for Zero, well, to X it seemed he had a bit more muscle. He was worried that either Vava or Zero would hurt the other, but for a moment, he could only find himself gazing at Zero's strong looking arms.

"Hey, X. Aren't you going to get changed?" Zero glanced back at X for a moment. Vava looked over at the reploid ogling his opponent. "Aah! I wasn't... I mean.." X stammered, his face getting slightly pink. Zero let go of Vava, leaving Vava with a grin. He'd won this round. "Come on, X. You gotta get changed. we've only got a few minutes, and people are already leaving." X brought his hands to his chest as he tried to gather his reserve. "B..but I've never changed in a room with others before." Zero brought X up to his feet and clapped his back, surprising him. "relax, everyone's gotta do this at some point. Beside's there's nothing to be nervous about. We're all guys here." X might have begged to differ. "There could be at least something to worry about."

"Just keep your eyes off your mate and worry about yourself. I'm leaving." Vava chuckled and walked off to put on his PE shirt. X blushed a bright red, then nervously looked to Zero. 'Great. now Zero's gonna think I'm weird.' X worried. To his relief, Zero only gave him a confused look and a "What's that all about?" "Nothing," X sighed. "Almost everyone else is gone, you better hurry and put your shirt on Zero." But Zero, stood still. "I'm not moving until you've gotten over your little fear."

X looked around nervously. It seemed that they were the only one's left in the room. Finally, X relented 'well, if it's just him, I guess' he took of his school shirt. as he looked at Zero he saw the differences between the two of them. While Zero was lean and muscular, X seemed to look plain by comparison. X wasn't fat by any real means, but he didn't have any muscle to speak of. "how do I look?" X asked with a nervous chuckle. His eyes then widened as he realized what this was sounding like. 'shoot, what do I do now?'. Zero's eyes narrowed as he responded,"What kind of question is that? You're fine, I guess. Well, I'm glad you could muster some courage. See you out there." With a thumbs up and a side grin, Zero walked off, grabbed his shirt, and put it on as he left the locker room for PE.

'I guess X is a little prudish about certain things. I'll try not to push him too hard from now on' Zero thought to himself. X could only put on his PE shirt, pondering the situation he was just in. 'Why was I staring at Zero for so long? Well, he does look nice. He's got some nice strong looking arms and abs. Gah! Focus, X"
