Episode 7 – Part 1

Groaning as she came too, Mara blinked, trying to clear her vision. She tried desperately to remember what happened.

'We were, at the feast...the kids all, fell asleep then we...we were drugged!' Her eyes shot open in horror at the realization. 'Wait a minute, where, what…?'

In doing so she realized the full horror of her situation, and not just hers. She was in a strangely bare room, inside some building somewhere, she had no idea where. But she was lying on the floor, hands tied behind her back, legs tied together at the knees and ankles.

"MMMMMMM!" She cried out, now realizing the tugging she felt at the corners of her mouth was due to a tight cleave gag.

Within the room, tied up just as she was, gagged just like her, were the other women of the group who had been at the feast. Katia, Zlata, Arica, Cveta, Britta, Ana. They were all here and all helpless. They all screamed into their gags and tugged at their bonds, startled at the sudden change they were experiencing. From passing out at the feast, to waking up prisoners, they all tensed as the door to the room opened and Natasha walked in.

"So...you're awake." She said, the niceness gone from her voice. "Finally. This is only the beginning, you will soon pay for your mistake. Destroying our people, ruining the great Walkers, insulting them...oh there will be judgement."

That made all the captive women freeze, Natasha's words made things clear, she was one of the cult, the cult was not destroyed.

Sneering at her captives Natasha stepped closer.

"What fools, you cannot defy the will of nature. Murdering those that should be revering is a grave offence." She snarled. "You are denying humanity it's chance to reach a new height."

"MMMMMMMMMM!" Arica screamed at her in fury. "MM MMMMMMMMMMMMM!"

Natasha glowered. "You had your chance and denied it, oh yes I know about you, little slut."

Arica strained against her bonds, clearly trying to attack Natasha.

But the woman was unmoved. "Well what did you expect me to call you, a teenage girl with a two year old son, how else could that have happened to you unless you spread your legs."

That only increased the outrage, not just for Arica but for the other women as well.

'How dare she, Arica isn't like that!' Katia fumed. 'She can't possibly understand the deep and loving bond there is between Arica and Niko.'

Undeterred, Natasha continued to rant.

"Well, no matter, we'll deal with that little brat just like we're going to deal with the others." Her words chilled them, the kids. "They'll soon learn the truth when we open their eyes and will join us."

Now it made sense, they were clearly going to try and slowly but surely dismantle and take over the community they had built, starting with indoctrinating their children.

The Natasha revealed something just as horrifying to the captives. "Any within your community who surrender are free to join us...any women who don't, will become like you. You will all still contribute new members to the cult, as our personal breeders."

The women all screamed in horror at that, learning what their futures would be if they did not escape. But an undisturbed Natasha simply left the room then, closing the door behind her and drowning out the screams.

In another room, in the same base, the six kids, Lydia, Iskra, Kalina, Misha, Sergei and Ivano began to wake up, finding themselves all lying on cots within the room, their hands were tied above their heads to the top of the cots, their legs tied together and their mouths tightly cleave gagged. As expected the most energetic of the six, Lydia and Ivano immediately started struggling while the others tried to take stock of where they were. They did not have long to wonder before Natasha entered the room.

"Ah, all awake I see." She remarked with the same voice she'd used on the women.

She was greeted with a chorus of muffled cries from the gagged kids, angry from Lydia and Ivano, pleading from Misha and Kalina while Iskra and Sergei merely expressed outright confusion.

Shaking her head Natasha sighed. "That will do, you children need to learn to behave, otherwise you will never be ready for your new role in the world."

The kids all froze at that, confused.

"Yes, you will soon become one of us, learning the truth of the revered walkers and-" She began to reveal.

"MMMMMMMMMMMM!"

She glowered angry at the sudden outburst which interrupted her.

"Learn your place, silence, do not dare interrupt me!" She screeched. "Why can't you be more like this one."

She pointed to Lydia, the only one who hadn't screamed; in fact Lydia had stopped struggling, something which startled the other kids.

"Well, the time will come, you'll soon learn and open your eyes. After that you will aid us in converting the other children in that...den of corruption you call a safe zone. Starting with that little boy." Natasha explained, smiling darkly at the last one.

Yet again, shocking the others, not even a threat against her little brother seemed to move Lydia.

Satisfied that at least one of the children had been broken and that the others would therefore fall into line soon enough Natasha left the room to see how things were progressing elsewhere. Little did she know, the real reason for Lydia's sudden submissiveness wasn't that at all, but rather, she was doing what her mother had taught her. It was time for Lydia to show how well she had learned Arica's lessons, by engineering her and her friends escape.

End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
