Sorry but don't expect a holiday special for this story or the She-Hulk one as I know Spidey has been portrayed as Jewish before and I wasn't certain if he celebrated Christmas before in the comics. Still Happy holidays everyone.
Peter Parker and his wife Diana Prince-Parker were dumbstruck as they were at a movie pitch meeting with a movie director that they knew little about named Cage McKnight, looking at the man Peter couldn't help but feel his Spider-Sense go off and feel something familiar about the man. They were being pitched for a movie about Diana's life as Wonder Woman.
"So Mr McKnight, despite my wife having explain clearly multiple times especially in her book that she was birthed from clay and given life by her Gods... You want her to be portrayed as a child of her mother and Hercules?" Peter asked dryly to which Diana was frowning, "Plus you want to portray her first friend outside of Themyscira, war hero Steve Trevor as a spy for the Nazis with the revelations souring her outlook on Man's World?" Peter asked even more annoyed and using his hand to hold Diana's to console her as he knew how furious she was taking this. She got to the scene in the script and had to share the copy given to Peter afterwards since the second after reading the scene she let her anger overtake her and tossed the script into the fire.
Despite what some sources and pundits may try to portray her otherwise, Diana was a peaceful and kind woman but even she had her limits especially when dear departed friends were being slandered against.
"Look this is a biopic and not everything has to be accurate, just like at Bohemian Rhapsody for example. Besides this is a movie and things need to be more exciting and extreme, filmgoers won't accept the clay thing whether or not it was true. Plus think of the drama of the betrayal of her first real friend." McKnight told them and they glared at him.
"Think of the lawsuits coming from Steve's descendants if they get word of this script." Diana fired back trying to remain calm but McKnight brushed it off. "Plus you want to make up a love affair between me and Kal?" Diana asked incredulously as she referred to Superman as Kal in public and near people who didn't know who his adopted name was so in order to keep his identity a secret.
"No offense to your husband but people would be more interested in a romance of the most powerful Hero and Heroines put together. Think of a love scene so strong that it makes earthquakes. Plus I will stop you before you start on the torture interrogations of the drug and cosmetics operations but people find straight laced heroes boring." McKnight continued on making the Parkers look angrier.
"Sorry Mr McKnight but I don't think we can continue this further unless you can give a drastic overall to this entire project as in starting the script from scratch." Diana said losing patience and wanting to end this once and for all.
Peter had his Spider-Sense go off and noticed McKnight reaching for Diana's bag next to the desk where the Lasso of Truth was located. He went to work catching his hand and decided to tie the lasso around his wrist to Diana's surprise. "Were you after the Lasso all along?" Peter asked at once as McKnight tried to fight it.
"Yes, the entire pitch was just a ruse to get her distracted so I can take it and in her angered state wouldn't notice until i used the Lasso against her. I planned to use her as a weapon with the Lasso's magic to get revenge on Spider-Man." McKnight responded taking them by surprise and Diana gotten angry asking why he wanted revenge on Spider-Man. "because I am really Quentin Beck the great and powerful Mysterio! I used underground plastic surgery to hide my identity and used my connections to falsify a new identity!" McKnight replied making Peter shake his head as Mysterio had been at large for quite a long while ever since he escaped from a prison transfer. This explained why he seemed too familiar even if he didn't recognise his face and his Spider-Sense.
Later after delivering Beck to the police, they were at home on their bed snuggling up to eachother watching edited together footage of Diana as Wonder Woman teaming up with Spider-Man in various fights. "Now this is a better movie than Beck could have ever pitched or made." Diana told her husband as she initiated a kiss with him. Peter had no complaints about that.
