When Raindrops fell down from the sky
The day you left me an angel cried.
Usagi looked outside from her bedroom window at the rising sun. She admired how bright the sun was today even though she wasn't a morning person. Luna was still asleep right at the foot of her bed. She loved these kind of mornings the kind where you would stay up all throughout the night admiring the sky and stars while being on the phone all night long with her beloved Motoki. The two have been together around a year. Usagi was convinced she had found the one. The two couldn't be separated even after spending the entire day together they would still call each other every night to spend even more time together and the best part of all was falling asleep on the phone together.
She smiled at the phone seeing the call was still going hearing soft snores on the other end of the line, Motoki had fallen asleep just a few hours prior. "I'm sorry Motoki I've gotta get going." She whispered softly blowing a kiss over the phone. She hung up and began her morning as usual. She got together her usual school uniform and her special brooch which was a gift from Luna, she packed her school bag and headed down the stairs.
"Usagi your up early, I was about to start waking you up." Ikuko was surprised to see her daughter. Usagi could only look away blushing thinking about the actual reason she was "up early". "Usagi was you on the phone all night again with Motoki?" Ikuko asked in a stern tone of voice. "Oh mom! Please no way of course I slept!" Usagi exclaimed nervously as she tried to cover up the fact she stood up all night on the phone. Ikuko looked at her trying to believe her for a few seconds. The piercing mom stare always filled Usagi with a whole other level of anxiety. "Fine I'll believe you on this one, now eat up before you run late."
Usagi finished her breakfast and headed out. As she walked down the busy streets of the Juban District she heard her name being called from the distance. "Luna!" Usagi called out as she turned around noticing the black cat running up to her. "Usagi you left your lunch so I wanted to bring it to you." Luna explained while catching her breathe. "You know I'm so used to letting you know about important meetings at the shrine, it feels so different now that we don't have them anymore." Luna said. Usagi as well as the rest of the Sailor Scouts has restored the balance of the world and the people of earth could finally live in peace after defeating the biggest evil of all time but most of all the girls could all enjoy high school and be normal girls. "I know Luna but sometimes different is good!" Usagi smiled. The two of them walked together a little more. "Remember Usagi you do have to meet up with the others after school for a study session for the ending of the semester exams coming up this week." Luna said as she watched Usagi snack on a pork bun that was packed in her lunch. "I know Luna! Don't you worry about me I'll be there!" She said reassuringly. The two approached the crosswalk. "Well it looks like I have to get going, thank you Luna!" Usagi smiled as she watched Luna make her way back home. "Hey Usagi!" Makoto said to her on the other end of the crosswalk standing next to Ami. Usagi ran up to them when it was clear to go being the classic klutz she was she had almost fallen. The lack of sleep was kicking in. "Hey guys!" She smiled as Ami saved her fall. "Good morning Usagi!" Ami greeted. "You ok? You seem as if you didn't sleep." Makoto asked. "Well.. I was up all night on the phone with Motoki!" She told them as she carried on to explain the details of their phone call. "It was so wonderful and so romanti-" Usagi was interrupted by Ami. "Usagi you know it's really not good for you to be up all night and to be on the phone." Ami said concerned for her friend. Usagi was never the most consistent with good grades however becoming a Sailor Guardian did help her to become more motivated in doing better. "Ami! I can't help it!" Usagi exclaimed. "You only have once to be young and in love!" She swooned. "And you only have once to be in high-school and get proper grades so you can have a promising career in the future." Ami said to her. "Eh take it easy Ami! I think it's cute, besides Usagi I would maybe cut off some time being spent with him and study more often but don't completely stop calling him." Makoto added.
The three had been so caught up in talking about what went on in their lives they hadn't noticed they made it to school. The bell rang and they went their separate ways. The class was almost done. Usagi anxiously watched the clock. "Usagi." Naru whispered as she tapped Usagi's shoulder giving her a small piece of paper. "Huh?" Usagi whispered watching as Naru quickly tucked her head in her books trying to act as natural as possible to avoid the teacher catching her. Usagi opened the letter which read.
Party at a seniors house tonight at 9:00!
Wanna come with?
Usagi quickly grabbed her pink pen and bunny printed paper and wrote down her response. Yes the girls could've used phones. But the notes was much more simple and less risky.
Sure I'll come! Maybe Motoki will come too!
Usagi quickly folded the note. In a sly manner she quickly placed her hand under the seat where Naru took the note. The class and more note passing went on and eventually the bell rang. Naru and Usagi made their way out of class. "I can't believe it Usagi! Someone already invited me to a senior party!" Naru said with an overwhelming enthusiasm. "We're already gonna be the most popular girls in freshmen year, plus your dating a college guy!" Naru beamed with bliss. Like most adolescent high school girls popularity was important to them besides they weren't middle school girls anymore high school is serious stuff. "Naru that sounds like fun! But this is a senior party what if it's dangerous?" Usagi was excited but had some reservations a party at an unknown house with unknown people seemed daunting. Normally Usagi would've been all over the opportunity but she's definitely become more mature since the world has been brought to balance besides she did just defeat the greatest evil of all time. "C'mom! Don't be a buzzkill! I promise we'll be fine! There's safety in numbers!" Naru begged. "Alright fine, but I do have to ask my parents first." She said.
The two of them walked the busy halls and finally made it outside to the courtyard. They walked down the stone path. The soft spring breeze hit gently and the sounds of the water fountain could be heard. "Usagi! Naru! Over here!" Makoto called out from their usual seating. A stone table and benches right underneath the cherry blossom tree and in perfect view of the sun and the water fountain. The two worked their way over as they placed their lunch bags down. Usagi drooled as she noticed Makotos perfectly packed bento. Fried shrimp in one compartment, with a spicy tuna roll in the other, some fruit, and rice balls decorated to resemble a smiley face. "Wow Makoto those look so good!" Usagi said as she locked eyes with the rice balls. "Want one?" Makoto offered. "Boy do I!" Usagi responded as she quickly took the rice ball and took a rather giant bite out of it and smiled. The girls continued eating their lunches conversations about what shows they watched and what it was they all were saving up for to buy at the Juban mall carried on. "Guys a friend of mine invited me to a senior party tonight! You's wanna come with me and Usagi?" Naru asked the girls as she packed away her empty bento. "That sounds like fun! I'm down!" Makoto instantly agreed to the offer. "I can even wear the new dress I got the other day!" She added on. "I'm going to pass, I've got cram school tonight." Ami declined the invitation she would've loved to have gone but she was working extra hard now that she was in high school. At this point lunch was almost over. The girls packed their things and the bell rang. They made their way to their next classes. The school day went on and Usagi couldn't wait for it to be over it meant she could spend time with Motoki as they always did each day after school.
Usagi looked up at the clock which read two forty five. That meant only five more minutes. She waited with a combination of butterflies and nerves filling her. Usagi had been so caught up in her thoughts that she hadn't notice the bell ringing. "Homework is due by tomorrow! This is going to be important for the end of the semester exam coming up." The teacher informed as each student picked up the sheet of paper on the teachers desk as they made their way out. Usagi picked up her papers and was almost running down the hall to get to her locker. She got to her locker and immediately grabbed her phone out of her bag. She noticed a text from Motoki that read.
Something came up with school I can't make it today I'm sorry.
An instant sense of disappointment and sadness came over Usagi. She remembered she would be at a party tonight so decided to see if he would come with her. So she rushed to text her response to him.
Aw that stinks! But it's ok I'm going to a party with Naru and the others tonight. Wanna come with us?
The message was sent then seen and he was typing. Usagi waited nervously as she watched the grey animated bubbles.
Sure I'll come with you guys.
An Instant relief washed over her. She gave him the details and went about her day. She walked down the busy high school hallway. She finally made her way out. The soft spring sun shined on her and warmed her up. The gentle breezes of the spring air softly hit her as she walked down the busy Juban District streets. She decided to spend some of her free time doing some shopping. She had recently received her paycheck from her new job working as a beauty consultant at a cosmetics shop. She walked passed a high end wedding dress shop. Her eyes instantly brightened up at the site of the beautiful and extravagant gowns. She found herself daydreaming as she walked passed more shops and boutiques about the day Motoki would marry her. She stopped as she noticed the trendy clothing store and just as she was about to walk in Luna appeared.
"I knew I'd find you here Usagi." Luna chuckled. "Hey Luna! I was just about to go shopping!" Usagi beamed with excitement at the thought of the party. She had texted her mom asking if it was alright to go while leaving school and her mom said she was allowed to as long as she came home at her curfew which was eleven thirty. She and Luna walked in. Usagi's eyes instantly shifted to a baby pink strapless mini dress which was decorated with pearls going across the neckline. It was fitted at the top and had a circle skirt at the bottom. "Luna do you think it's too fancy for a party?" Usagi asked it was much more dressier then usual especially because of the jeweled accents and the satin fabric. "It is but if you like it then you should get it!" Luna advised. "I think I'm gonna try it on!" She said as the two of them made their way to the fitting room.
Usagi slipped on the dress and instantly fell in love with the dress as she admired herself in the mirror. "Wow Luna! This is everything!" She exclaimed. "It does look really nice on you Usagi, but you need to make sure you can afford it, remember what your mom said about saving up." Luna reminded her of the discussion Usagi and her mother had about saving and being responsible with money. "Oh don't worry Luna! I can!" Usagi said reassuring the black cat she could buy the dress. She changed back in her school uniform. She picked up some accessories to match and made her way to checkout. "Wow! This dress is going to look amazing on you, your lucky you got it because it's our last one." The blonde middle aged cashier said as she scanned the items and folded the dress. "Thanks! It's so pretty I had to get it!" Usagi smiled at the kindness she received. "What's the occasion?" The cashier asked. "It's a party I'm going to tonight!" Usagi said as she reached into her bag to grab her cash to pay for the items. "Sounds like fun, your definitely going to outshine everyone! Your total comes up fifty thirty eight." The cashier said. "Thanks so much!" Usagi said as she handed her cash and received change. "Thanks for stopping in! Have fun!" The cashier beamed. Usagi and Luna made their way down the Juban District.
Usagi walked passed the arcade and much to her surprise she noticed Motoki. "This is strange, he said something came up with school?" She thought to herself. "Maybe he cleared whatever came up, I'm going to see him for a little bit." She walked in to notice Motoki. "Motoki!" Usagi greeted as she walked in. He seemed caught off guard it seemed as if he wasn't expecting her. "Oh, uh hey!" He anxiously smiled. "He doesn't seem like himself." Usagi thought to herself she never liked to be the "crazy girlfriend" but she knew something wasn't right. However she decided to brush it off maybe he was just stressed about something. "Motoki! Make sure you remember tonight's party!" Motoki seemed a little bit more cold. "Oh..um yeah sure."Checking the time she seen she needed to be home. She hugged Motoki goodbye and when she tried to give him a kiss he pulled back."Sorry Usagi, my manager says no affection at work." He said to her. "Oh I'm sorry." She said slightly embarrassed at what had happened. She walked out knowing something was up even at work he would still show affection but she decided to brush it off.
Usagi and Luna walked down the same crosswalk. "Luna, Motoki was acting really strange today." Usagi said to her as the two of them proceeded toward the other side of the crosswalk. "I'm sure it's nothing Usagi. Besides maybe he's just caught up in some stuff of his own." Luna said trying to make sense out of things. Due to Rei not feeling well the studying was cancelled much to Usagi's relief. She finally approached her front door. "Move it!" Shingo yelled as he rushed inside hence bumping into Usagi and making her trip her bags fell along side with her. "SHINGO YOU LITTLE-" Usagi grunted with anger but before she could continue she was interrupted by her mother. "The both of you that is enough!" Her mother was stern. "But mom! He tripped me!" Usagi cried out. "I don't want to hear it from both of you!" Her remark was enough to make Usagi blow a fuse but she didn't want to mess up her chances at going to a senior party by making her mother upset. She quickly gathered her things and ran up the stairs to start getting ready.
She started her getting ready process by first laying down her outfit. Her brand new dress along with matching pearl studs, a matching baby pink clutch, and with black closed high heels. "Usagi are you sure your able to handle being in those heels all night?" Luna asked. "Luna! This isn't just a normal party this is a senior party! Of course i can! Remember I'm also Sailor Moon! I'm nearly invincible even high heels can't stop me!" She carried on to the shower. Her speaker began to play. "Right now I'm in a state of mind, I wanna be in like all the time!" Usagi sang as the music went on. "I'm picking it up I'm picking it up!" Usagi continued to sing as the song began to play. She got out putting on her pink bath towel wrap. She wrapped her long blonde hair into another towel and began to brush her teeth besides you never know what if her and Motoki would have a hot make out session. She had to be prepared. After that she turned off her speaker and carried it along with her into her bedroom. She continued to play her entire playlist while applying her makeup and styling her now blow dried hair. "Oh why'd you have be so cute?" Usagi continued to belt out the entire sweetener album. Finally she was ready. "Alright Luna I'm going now this is the address, let me know if you need anything ok." She said as she gathered the last of her belongings and headed out. "You look beautiful Usagi! I can't believe our little girl is going to her very first party!" Her mother said in admiration. "Usagi please make sure your home by eleven thirty if not there will be consequences." Her father said to her. "I promise Dad I will, thanks guys!" Usagi told them as she checked her phone. It was a message from Naru.
Naru: I'm almost at your place are you ready?
Usagi: Yeah! I'm ready!
A knock was heard at the door. "Hi Mr and Mrs.Tsukino!" Naru greeted in a polite manner. "Hi Naru! Girls why don't you try some of the dinner I made before you girls leave?" Usually Usagi would've never passed up on food especially cream stew but she had already eaten before coming home. "Thank you for asking, but I already had dinner at home." Naru replied. "I'll try it when I get home, besides I already had some food earlier thanks though mom!" Usagi smiled. "Girls be safe and be careful." Usagi and Naru both smiled at her mom as they walked out. They proceeded outside as they walked down the street. It wasn't too dark out just yet plus Makoto was going to be picking them up. They stopped for something to drink at moon bucks coffee making sure they were aware of their surroundings and in a safe area. They walked in and ordered their drinks. The two of them sipped their pink drinks as they waited.
Suddenly the beeping horn could be heard looking outside from the coffee shop windows they could see Makoto in the car waiting for them. They both walked toward the car and opened the doors and got in. "Hey guys!" Makoto smiled. The girls exchanged their hellos. The loud upbeat music played from Makotos speakers. Makoto belted out the lyrics from blazed by Ariana Grande. "Once I have you, I will never let you never let you go!" Naru sang Arianas verse. Makoto picked up at the next verse continuing the carpool karaoke. "There is something between us I can see it right now!" Makoto sang out loud with the windows rolled down. "C'mon Usagi! This is your part of the song!" Makoto smiled as her and Naru turned around to Usagi waiting for her to finish. They noticed she seemed in a daze as she stared out the window in the backseat. Makoto lowered the music noticing her friend was down. "Usagi what's a matter?" Makoto asked concerned for her friend. Usagi was caught off guard and taken out of the daze. "Oh! Nothing I'm fine I promise I was just thinking of the exam coming up!" She smiled. Finally they had arrived to pick up Minako. She ran up to the white four door car a smile appeared on her face as she got into the backseat sitting next to Usagi. "Hey guys!" She said as she adjusted her yellow skirt and touched up her makeup. "Hi!" The others said in perfect unison. The car ride continued. Giggles and a serious carpool karaoke session carried on until almost reaching the seniors house.
The girls had almost reached the destination. "Ok, up next on this road turn right to cherry blossom avenue." Naru informed Makoto as she looked at her iPhones Gps system. "Cherry blossom avenue? Isn't that where all the rich people of Tokyo live?" Makoto asked you could almost see the dollar signs and hearts in her eyes. "Yeah! My friends mom is a plastic surgeon while her dad is the CEO of moon bucks coffee." Naru added on. Makoto made the turn. The girls could only stare in awe as Makoto drove on the well maintained street. The street was filled with lush bushes and trees on each side as well as flowers. The girls admired all the fancy homes. Finally the girls made their way at the end of the extravagant street and approached the entrance for the private home. The entrance was adorned with two iron gates one on each side. Makoto put in the gate code and the girls stood in awe as they watched the entrance gate open.
"Woah! Look at all these people! This place is packed!" Makoto exclaimed practically jumping out of her seat as she took the keys out of the ignition. "I know! Imagine all the cute and rich seniors and college students that are gonna be here!" Minako beamed as she blushed a hue of pink. "I wish Rei and Ami could've came though it would've been so fun with them." Makoto added on. "C'mon guys! If we sit in here talking we're gonna miss the whole party!" Naru added she watched as the girls got out but noticed Usagi seemed sad.
"Usagi? Isn't Motoki coming tonight?" She once again was caught off guard. "Oh yeah! He said he'll be here later on!" She smiled. "Great! Let's go! The party is just starting!" Naru smiled as she grabbed Usagi's hand. Usagi and the others could only look in awe at the giant modern white mansion. The outside of the home was decorated with perfectly trimmed trees. Usagi caught herself as she was about to stumble on the grey stone driveway. A giant black stone water fountain stood in the center of the driveway as the water flowed reflecting different colors. The girls finally after what felt like an eternity made their way in the already crowded party.
"Naru! You and all your friends made it I'm so happy!" The girls were greeted by an older girl. Her hair was light brown her eyes also appeared a green color she had on a white mini length dress it wasn't too long or too short. Her hair was lightly curled and she had on a bit more of makeup. She wore a gold heart necklace with a pair of pink sandal heels. "Hi Jin the party looks amazing!" Naru said. "Jins mom is a regular at my moms jewelry store I've known her for quite a long time." Naru explained. The rest of the girls introduced themselves. "That pink dress is so cute! I've gotta get one where did you get it?" Jin asked Usagi noticing how pearls adorned the neckline. "Oh this? I got it from the new boutique that opened up in the Juban district, thanks!" Usagi replied. butterflies and anxiety filled she couldn't believe a senior complimented her dress! "Well girls I enjoyed our chit-chat but the hostesses with the mostesses must be on her way, help yourself to some snacks and beverages in the kitchen and if anyone gives you girls a hard time just let me know!" Jin smiled as she walked away.
Soon enough each of the girls made their ways through the swarm of people. The girls got their drinks and headed into the main living room where the dancing was happening. Loud music played through the giant speakers. "C'mon Usagi! Wanna dance with us?" Minako asked as her and the others made their way to the dance floor. "No I'll pass besides Motoki should be here soon." Usagi replied growing anxious. "Oh! That's fine then!" Usagi smiled as she watched the others head on the floor. Usagi checked her phone.
10:30pm
"I wonder what happened with Motoki, He said he'd be here by 10:00 this isn't like him to show up late."
Usagi grew tired of Motokis odd behavior. Deciding she needed a break from the noise she made her way outside. She made her way past the drunken party goers as she walked passed the pool. She was able to get away from the noise."Finally, some peace and quiet." Usagi thought to herself as she walked down the stone pathway. "This isn't a backyard, this is an entire forest!" Usagi thought to herself as she continued to walk down the pathway. She looked at the perfectly cut grass and trimmed trees. She looked from the back as she watched drunken high school students in the pool. Quickly turning away deciding she had seen enough. She finally approached a quiet seating area. She sat on the stone bench in front of a stone fountain. She looked up at the moon and stars and sat in silence allowing herself to collect her thoughts. After some thinking Usagi decided she wasn't going to let Motokis bad day or whatever it was that was going on with him completely mess up her night. She got up and started working her way back in the party.
She worked her way in trying her hardest to fit through the swarm of people. "I can't find the others, this isn't my night." Loosing sight of the girls Usagi decided to head the kitchen to get something to drink. However due to the large crowd she ended up deciding to walk through the hallway instead as it would be easier. "Check it out guys a freshmen." the drunken and clearly drugged senior smirked at his group of equally drunken and drugged up friends. Usagi rolled her eyes at him as she continued to walk passed them. "C'mom freshmen, don't play so hard to get!" The same drunken senior remarked as he quickly grabbed her arm pulling her in close proximity of him. Usagi's face could almost turn green at the stench of different beers and cigarette smoke that came off him and the other boys he was with. Her body paralyzed in fear. "Freshmen's like you shouldn't be here especially dressed like that." Another boy hatefully snared bearing a disgusting smirk on his face. "You know what they say about freshmen girls." This time another boy replied to the same guy who held a tight grip on the shaken and fearful girl. Usagi watched as his other calloused hand touched her hair and went down her back eventually gripping the hem of her skirt. "P-please let me go, your hurting me." Usagi could barley get the words out. He only held on tighter. Usagi watched in fear as her forearm turned red. "C'mon freshmen, let me show you a good time." His grip tightened on her arm. She began to cry wishing Motoki could've been with her to save her. "P-please stop just let me go!" She screamed out with tears rushing down her. "Shut up already!" He yelled as he opened the door and just as she was about to be pushed in a voice could be heard from the other end of the hallway. "Let her go you bastard!" Usagi watched in shock as she could only see a darken figure. "And who the hell do you think you are?" The drunken slob asked, rage dripped from his voice. "I don't need to tell you who I am! You let this girl go or else you and your group of pigs will have a problem with me!" The dark figure stepped closer. Usagi watched in awe at his bravery. She watched as the tall boy with black hair wearing a green bomber jacket black jeans and a pair of roughened up sneakers got closer. He seemed older definitely not senior old but college student old. "Make me." The boy snared once more holding Usagi tighter then ever. "Let her go!" The mysterious knight in shinning armor throw a punch right in the boys face knocking him down instantly. The hit was so powerful it caused Usagi to tumble a bit. However her hero caught her in his arms. The beaten boy got up off the floor and threw a hit toward the mysterious boys jaw. The two of them began fighting. Usagi cried out. "Please just stop fighting!" She screamed becoming hysterical. Due to the music being so loud no one noticed the altercation. Usagi watched as the mystery guy stood up one more time and give a final blow to the drunken guy hence making him fall over and giving him a black eye. "Don't ever violate a woman like that ever again! If I catch you doing that again I won't hesitate to kill each and every one of you." The boy hissed. The drunken pack of seniors quickly ran in fear. "You ok bun-head?" He asked Usagi. She was flustered and a rollercoaster of emotions came over her. "Oh me? I'm fine, thank you for saving me." She said a sense of guilt and shame could be heard in her voice. "You know this isn't your fault right? Some guys are just bastards, you shouldn't let people walk on you like that." He said. Usagi noticed the bleeding cut on his face. "Oh my gosh! Your hurt! Please let me help!" Usagi cried out. "Don't worry about me little miss bun-head I'm fine." He told her. "Please let me help it's the least I can do." She said as she looked down at the ground still processing that she had been assaulted. Feeling a sense of sympathy for the high school girl he agreed. The two of them walked into the empty bathroom. "Take a seat." Usagi told him. She watched as he sat down on the chair in the master bathroom. She placed her fingers on his jawline and slightly lifted his face to examine the cut. "This might sting a little bit." Usagi warned as she applied an antiseptic cream to the cut. He winced in pain from the sting. "I'm sorry!" Usagi quickly apologized. "No don't be sorry it's ok." He said once again a feeling of sympathy for the girl came over him. "You know these are bumps not buns." She joked and giggled with him as she finished cleaning up the cut. "You know I never got your name." She said to him as she reached into her bag to grab a bandaid. "My name is Mamoru." He said to her as she applied the band-aid onto his cut. "I haven't seen you in school before, do you go somewhere different?" Usagi asked as she placed the band-aid on his cheek. Her heart froze and she blushed. "Why do I feel this way? Why does my heart feel like this? I feel like I already know him" Usagi couldn't figure out what she was feeling. "I'm a college student." Mamoru said to her. "Oh, well it looks like your all done!" Usagi smiled at him. It broke his heart seeing as to how she was trying to keep a brave face after what had just happened and how her thoughts shifted first to helping him. "Thank you Mamoru again." Usagi smiled. The two of them made their way out. they found a quiet place to sit in the upstairs hallway. An instant chemistry could be felt in that moment. But all Usagi could think of was how Motoki wasn't there to save her. Which caused her happy grin to leave. "You ok bun-head?" Usagi looked him in the eyes blushing yet again. "Oh yeah, I'm ok!" She reassured him. "I'm going to get going! Thank you again for everything Mamoru!" She smiled. A glimmer of sadness could be heard in her voice and seen in her eyes. "A face like hers never deserves to be sad." Mamoru thought to himself as he watched Usagi fade into the party. Eventually Usagi found her way to her friends. They all sat outside at the pool area their legs in the water. "Usagi you look horrible what happened!" Minako exclaimed in shock. "I'll talk about it later, did you guys have fun?" Usagi asked. "A blast!" Makoto said to Usagi. Thankfully none of them drank which meant they could get home safely. "What happened to Motoki?" Naru asked. Usagi was saddened realizing he dipped. "Oh..he didn't come." Usagi frowned. "Don't be sad Usagi! Besides maybe he just got tired." Usagi panicked as she realized she hadn't checked her phone.
11:20
"OH MY GOSH ITS ALMOST MY CURFEW I GOTTA GET HOME!" Usagi cried out in panic. "Oh damn it! I forgot! C'mon guys let's go!" Makoto ordered. The girls quickly gathered their things. "Hey girls, everything ok?" Jin asked. "Yeah! We just gotta make our curfew, but thanks for inviting us the party was great!" Naru exclaimed as the girls quickly rushed their way out. "No problem bye guys!" She said to them as they waved to her. Usagi panicked realizing she left her bag upstairs in the bathroom. She started making a run for it toward the stairs however her shoes began to hurt her feet. Before approaching the stairs she bumped into Mamoru. "Hey bun-head, You forgot this I was trying to find you." He handed her the pink bag. "Oh thank goodness Mamoru! You saved me again!" She said in relief. "Your leaving bun-head?" He asked Usagi. "Oh yeah! My friend is driving me and the others home." She smiled. "Do you want me to walk you out to your car?" He asked concerned the same jerks might try something. "Oh no I got it." She smiled at his kindness. "Oh please, I insist." He said to her. Usagi agreed the safe feeling she got around him felt so familiar to her. The two of them made their way through the cars that took up the driveway. Without saying anything Mamoru took his jacket off and wrapped Usagi in it noticing her shivering."What's this feeling deep inside my heart?" Usagi was in complete awe trying to recognize the feeling that felt so familiar to her. "There it is!" Usagi pointed to the white car. "Alright bun-head you be careful." Mamoru said to her. "Thank you for everything Mamoru." She smiled at him. "No problem, but if I do need to get a bandaid the next time maybe use one without a bunny on it." He replied to her jokingly in an attempt to make her laugh. She smiled and giggled. He watched as Usagi entered the car and watched it drive off in the distance.
"Woahhh who was that cute guy you were with, I see Usagi what your doing." Minako said to her smirking. "Oh him..he just helped out tonight." Usagi said. "Yeah Usagi you never told us what happened and where did you get that bruise from!" Naru said with shock just noticing the bruise on Usagi's forearm. As the car ride went on Usagi then shared what had happened she watched as the girls faces filled up with shame, guilt, and sadness. By the time Usagi finished saying what had happened the group was already at Usagi's place. "Oh my gosh, Usagi! We're such horrible friends!" Naru cried out. All the girls felt an instant guilt wash over them. "This is all our fault! We got so caught up in enjoying ourselves we forgot about you." Makoto cried feeling an instant shame wash over her. "I can't believe we wasn't there to help you." Minako said as she looked down. "Please girls it's no ones fault, don't feel bad it's ok!" She reassured her friends. "Thankfully your not hurt Usagi, but when I find those bastards I'll beat each and every one of them!" Makoto said to her anger filled her voice. They got out of the car and group hugged. "It's ok girls please don't feel bad, I'm ok." Usagi smiled. "Goodnight Usagi let us know if you need anything we'll see you tomorrow." Naru said as she hugged her best friend goodbye. Usagi was relieved to see her clock read eleven twenty eight. Shingo opened the door and much to her relief her parents stood sound asleep.
Showering off a long night and deciding to change into some fresh pajamas Usagi made her way into bed. Noticing Mamorus jacket was on her chair she smiled at how her knight in shinning armor came to her rescue. Luna was still sound asleep. Usagi got into bed and closed her eyes and drifted into a deep sleep.
Two weeks has now passed since the night of the party. Usagi sat in her desk as she listened to the teacher. "Ok class today your grades come back for the end of the semester exams." The teacher informed as she walked up to each student handing their test scores. Usagi instantly fell into shock and disappointment seeing how she only scored thrity percent. She cried out. "THIRTY PERCENT!? MY MOM IS GOING TO KILL ME!" She cried out in agony. The class was dismissed and Naru tried comforting her. "Maybe if you just keep quiet about the test your mom won't ask." Usagi looked down at the ground as her and Naru walked down the hallway. "I know what's going to make you feel better, what if we went shopping!" Naru asked. "Nah, I think I'm just gonna go home." Usagi said. "Oh..well then I guess I'll see you next week." Naru said as she watched Usagi grab her things and leave. Usagi grabbed her phone out of her bag. All week long she hadn't heard from Motoki. She wanted to text him but after seeing all the messages she sent and how he only read them she decided not to. Usagi walked passed the busy streets and found herself sitting at the park bench. She still was processing what had happened at the party her heart was torn in pieces. How could Motoki dip on her like that without saying a word? If he was there with her this would've never happened to her. And why was he acting so strange. Usagi grew saddened at how it seemed as if he was ignoring her. No more morning texts, afternoon dates, and late night phone calls. Her heart fell into a deep sadness. "Is this wrong for me to be so upset over." She thought to herself as she sat on the bench she watched as the cherry blossom tree swayed in perfect harmony with the wind. "I'm his girlfriend of one year, I have a right to know why I'm being ignored." She waited long enough and decided she was done waiting on him. Without letting him know Usagi bursted into the arcade. Motoki noticed her urgency as she approached him with anger in her eyes. "Oh hey Usagi! What's wrong?" It seemed as if he was choosing to use ignorance to avoid confrontation. Angered even more by this she let out the bottle of emotions she held in for two weeks. "I'm tired of being ignored by you! I want to know what the hell is going on! I've had enough of this!" She had to contain herself as best as possible to avoid screaming in the arcade. Motoki knew it was time to confess and that he couldn't keep it a secret anymore. "Let's talk about it tonigh-" he was cut off. "No! I don't want anymore excuses! I deserve to know what's going on regardless of what your doing!" Usagi couldn't hold in her anger and confusion anymore she struggled to keep herself from screaming once again. "Alright, let's talk about this outside." Motoki said knowing he was defeated and it was time to talk to her about the reason he was ignoring her.
The two of them walked outside at the back entrance. Usagi giving him an almost lethal stare and crossing her arms. Motoki sighed as he began to explain. "Look Usagi, please don't be mad." He said hoping to calm down the enraged teenager. "It's too late for that one." She hissed. "Look Usagi, I've been offered to finish school in New York City, and without thinking I took the offer." He explained to Usagi. Usagi's heart fell to the ground as she listened. Motoki could only stare in guilt knowing the tremendous amount of pain he already caused and there was no fixing it. "Usagi I do love you, but I love my dream too, and I wanted to tell you sooner but I didn't want to hurt you." Motoki said to her trying to justify what he done. "H-how could you keep this from me." Her voice broke and tears instantly fell from her blue eyes. "U-Usagi I-I really I'm sorry." Motoki said to her as he tried holding her hand. She pulled back. "So this means we have to be long distance." She said to him. "About that Usagi." Motoki went on to explain. She couldn't believe what she was hearing she was about to be broken up with by the one person who made her world spin. "Usagi I thought about us and I, I just don't love you anymore." Her heart was instantly pierce with a sadness she never felt before. She felt herself about to pass out from the intensity of the emotions. "I just don't love you anymore." Those words stabbed her heart so deeply and painfully she didn't know what else to do. "Oh, ok then." She tried to keep her composure at this point not wanting to cry anymore. "Usagi I'm sorry." Motoki said to her feeling an instant guilt for the hurt he knew he caused. "N-no I understand." Usagi said to him as she slowly walked away. "Goodbye Motoki." She whispered to him. Before he could say anything she ran off. What felt like forever of holding in her tears she couldn't run anymore and hold it all in anymore. She ran into the telephone booth. She could only fall to the ground and release a stream of tears. "How could you do this to me?" Usagi said to herself as she cried even more. She felt like she just lost her entire universe. "How could you just stop loving me." Usagi once again said to herself trying to come up with what could've possibly changed his mind. It seemed like an eternity passed of sitting in the phone booth and crying. She stopped crying and opened her eyes to see the sun was setting it hit that she had been in that booth crying for hours. She heard Luna frantically knocking on the glass outside. "L-Luna?" Usagi said as she opened the booth door. "There you are! You had me and everyone else worried sick! Usagi you can't disappear like tha-" Luna could tell something was very wrong. "Usagi! What happened?" Luna said frantically. "Motoki and I-" Luna cut her off knowing what she was already about to say. "Oh Usagi, I'm so sorry." The black cat said as she comforted the heartbroken teenager. Holding onto Luna Usagi decided she needed to be home. Walking down the now quiet streets she had gotten so caught up in thinking that she didn't realize she bumped into someone. "Hey watch your going!" The male voice snared. "O-oh I'm sorry." Usagi said to him the male turned around noticing the saddened voice. "Oh bun-head!" It was Mamoru. "I'm sorry about that." He said to her walking up to her. "Oh...hey, sorry if I knew I'd run into you I would've returned your jacket." Usagi said to him with embarrassment. "Don't worry about it, you ok you seem like you've had a bad day." Mamoru asked her. "Oh yeah I'm fine!" She smiled at him. There it went again that same fluttery feeling, the safe and familiar feeling. "What is this feeling?" She wondered to herself as the two locked eyes for a second. "I've gotta get going." Usagi said to him. "No problem, I'll see you around bun-head." Mamoru said to her. "What is this feeling? Why does it feel as if I've known her before." Mamoru wondered what it was he felt in that moment. He pondered as he walked back to his apartment. "Maybe it was coincidental that I ran into her again." He thought to himself. The image of the blonde haired and blue eyed girl continued to stay in his mind throughout the day.
After yet another long day which including failing an important exam, a lecture from her angered mother, and being dumped by Motoki. Usagi could lay in her bed with silent tears rolling down her face. She sat in silence. Luna tried to comfort her but it seemed nothing was working. "C'mom Usagi I know your sad over him, but you can't leave your room looking this way!" Luna said as she pushed away the empty star-foam instant ramen cup. "Luna!" Usagi cried at Lunas lecturing. After more tears and more late night eating Usagi finally fell asleep. Deciding to help Usagi Luna decided to tidy up the space and stay up to see if she would wake up crying again. A few hours passed and Usagi woke up out of her sleep noticing Luna was asleep. She decided she had enough crying for one night. Usagi couldn't help but to think of how she kept running into the mysterious guy at the party who saved her. "Mamoru." She said to herself trying to figure out why he felt so familiar to her. She pondered on it even more it felt so familiar to her. She fell asleep with the image of the tall and dark haired boy in her mind.
