There is something between us I can see it right now Your magnetic demeanor that's something can't be found
One month had passed since Usagi's breakup with Motoki the teenagers heart fell into a deep despair. She felt as if her entire world was taken from her. Normally she would've spent her spring break with her friends or going shopping but all she wanted was to hide from the world.
All the teenager could do was watch her life go by. she stood up throughout the night struggling to sleep. And when she would finally fall asleep for just a few hours she could only cry in her sleep. Everything in her life was falling apart. Her grades got worst and things at home haven't been easy. She was growing tired of constantly hearing her mother lecture her about her bad grades and how she needed to do better. She also grew tired of Luna as well as the others trying to make her feel better. Sometimes Usagi felt like no one understood her pain and how all she wanted was to be sad. All she wanted was for someone to acknowledge her hurt without telling her to stop crying. However what she didn't realize was her friends and her family couldn't take seeing her in this pain. Her friends hated going places without her. And her mothers heart would break each time she would see her walk out of her bedroom.
All Usagi wanted was to be happy again. All she wanted was for Motoki to come back. But she knew no matter what nothing could bring him back. And she felt that there was no reason in trying to find happiness anymore. Her happiness was gone. Sometimes she would look out of her bedroom window wishing she had the energy and motivation to step outside into the world and go somewhere other then school. But she just couldn't bring herself to do it. She sometimes would envy the people who walked by who seemed to be so full of joy she wished she could feel that again.
After a difficult rest Usagi had awoken from her small sleep. Her morning started off as usual. Laying in bed for about an hour or two until she finally had the strength to make it to the bathroom. She finished up her routine and was about to walk back in her bedroom when her mother appeared down the stairs. "Good morning Usagi! Ikuko said as she watched her daughter walk down the stairs. "I made you some breakfast! I made strawberry hot cakes! Your favorite!" She called out trying to get her daughter to come downstairs. "Oh thanks mom, it's ok I'm not hungry right now." She said hiding behind a smile as she walked back in her room. "Oh, it's ok but do try them!" Ikuko could only sigh feeling discouraged it seemed like her efforts to help Usagi seemed to not work. Usagi walked back in her bedroom and sat down besides her window she watched as the rain drops fell down from the grey clouds. "Luna, don't you wish that instead of people constantly telling you to cheer up some times they could just allow you to be sad?" Usagi asked the black cat as she sat watching the gloomy weather and placing her hand on her face as she was seated. "Some times I feel like no one gets it." She sighed as she looked down holding back the urge to cry. She was growing tired of crying. "I don't think that's the case, I think your friends and your family care about you and they do understand, they just don't want to see you feeling this way anymore." Luna was hoping this wouldn't offend Usagi. The teenager was easily offended by things most of the time. Usagi looked at the black cat and a soft smile appeared. "I think your right Luna." Luna smiled hoping this would be a conversation that could help Usagi get out of this rut she's been in. "I-I just miss him." Usagi looked down and began to cry. Usagi was known for being a "crybaby" and over emotional, however the one month of tears and pain wasn't her typical overly emotional tendencies, this was deeply rooted pain that can only come for a deep place of hurt and depression. "Her pain is deeper then I thought it was." Luna thought to herself as she jumped on Usagi's bed to get closer to her. "I know you do Usagi, but I promise it's going to be ok, this is going to pass." Luna reassured her.
"C'mon why don't we go somewhere for a little bit, walking might help!" Luna suggested in another attempt to make Usagi feel better. Even though it was raining it was soft raindrops. "Sure, I guess we can go for a little bit." Usagi agreed and got ready. She threw on her usual pink skirt with a green button down top with a denim jacket over it and grabbed her umbrella. She walked down the stairs with Luna by her side. "Hey mom I'm leaving." Usagi announced Ikuko was surprised and quite relieved to see her daughter finally going some place other then the kitchen and bathroom. Instead of asking Ikuko decided to allow Usagi to be on her way. "Thats fine Usagi, let us know where your going and be careful." Her mother said as she she watched Usagi walk out the door. Usagi watched as small raindrops fell from the sky. She wasn't sure of where she wanted to go so her and Luna just walked silently for a little bit. Usagi saw a small bookshop and decided to go in. She browsed through the bookstore and after running her fingers on each of the mangas she found one that caught her eye. She looked on her phone while walking up to the register to pay. As she walked up she felt herself bumping into someone. "Bun-head! it's been quite a while." That voice sounded familiar she then realized it was Mamarou. "Oh, hey Mamarou!" Usagi said slightly embarrassed and once again hiding her emotions behind her smile. "I haven't seen you around as much, how have you been?" He asked her as they walked together to the register. "Oh- I've been okay." Usagi said halfheartedly looking down at her manga. "What about you?" She asked as she quickly pulled herself together. "I've been caught up with school and work, but overall I haven't been bad." He said to her as he could only be captivated by the teenagers bright blue eyes and warm smile. Thoughts of that fateful encounter and the others that followed still stood in his mind. But he knew something was wrong. He felt odd for having this urge to protect her and look after her. "That's nice." was all Usagi could tell him. Her thoughts went straight to Motoki. She had forgotten that the bookstore was right across the street from the arcade he used to work at.
"Thank you so much Motoki, you didn't have to buy all this for me! "Don't thank me I'm willing to do anything that makes you happy. I love you."
"Bun-head? Everything ok?" Usagi was taken out of her flashback her heart was saddened at the memory. One of her favorite dates with Motoki had taken place at this bookstore. "Yeah I'm fine! I just wasn't paying attention that's all."
She said as she placed her book on the register. She paid for her book and thanked the cashier. "Well I should get going. It was nice seeing you again." Usagi said to Mamarou as she was getting ready to leave. "It was good seeing you again bun-head." He smiled he watched as she walked out. "You ok Usagi? You didn't seem yourself just now." Luna asked as she sat on Usagi's shoulder. "Yeah! I'm ok." Usagi said as they both made their way down the sidewalk. Luna felt sympathy for the teenager. "I'm getting a little thirsty, I'm going to stop in here to grab something to drink." She said to Luna as the two made their separate ways. "Hi! Welcome to moon-bucks can I get you something?" The barista asked. "Yes, I'll have a small pink drink." Usagi said to the barista as she grabbed the cash out of her bag to pay. She paid for the drink and watched as Luna walked in and sat underneath her table. She decided she would read her manga as she waited. There was a special authors note at the beginning.
"To my devoted readers, no matter who comes or goes please remember these words. Fall in love with yourself first before loving someone else. We can only be happy with others when we are first happy with ourselves."
Something sparked in the teenagers heart as she read those words. "When we are happy with ourselves? How can I be happy with myself?" Usagi thought to herself. She began wondering how could someone find that? She wasn't quite sure. "Pink drink for Usagi!" The barista called out as she placed the beverage on the counter. Usagi walked up and got her drink. "Thank you so much!" She grabbed her drink and headed out. Usagi continued to walk around the Juban district not sure of where to go or what to do. "Luna?" Usagi asked as the two of them made their way down the side walks. She stopped at a psychic shop. She paused and looked at the bright neon palm that hung on the store-front window. "How can you find your own happiness?" Usagi said as she stared at down at the ground. Luna was taken back by this. She never heard Usagi to ask such deep and emotional questions like this. "Theres so many ways to answer this, but i think its by listening to your heart." Luna answered as best as she could hoping it could give the teenager some type of clariry and encouragement. "How do I listen to my heart." Usagi thought to herself once more. She felt captivated by the energy the psychic shop seemed to give. "Luna do you think its a good idea to go in there?" Usagi decided to use some caution. This could be a plot from a new enemy and well... The pretty guardian has slipped into enemies traps before. "It feels fine to me, theres no bad energy." Luna had made sure it was safe. Getting caught up in their observations they had not noticed a woman unlocking the door.
"Can I help you with something?" The woman spoke gently and kindly to Usagi. "Uhhh- oh! Nothing! I was just looking at your shop it is really nice!" Usagi was slighty embarrassed. She was not the best with meeting new people. "Why thank you, would you be interested in getting a reading?" The woman asked as she opened the unlocked door. "Sure!" Usagi was not sure why but something about this felt right she walked into the shop with the psychic. "And you can feel free to bring your friend in also." The woman spoke once again with a bright smile on her face. "C'mon luna!" Usagi watched as the cat walked by her side. "Wow this place is so cool! Y'know one time when i was fourteen a psychic was here in this same building, turns out the psychic was actually a bad guy! And-" Usagi stopped midway through her sentence. She had gotten so caught up in admiring the psychics shop she had realized that had she gone any futher not only would she sound crazy but she would blow her cover as Sailor Moon. The woman giggled at how adorable and sweet the young girl seemed. "Oh I forgot how much?" She started looking inside her bag to pay. The woman sensed Usagis heartbreak and felt a deep sympathy for her. "My Child, dont worry this one is free of cost." The psychic lovingly placed her hand on her shoulder. Usagi looked up at the woman. She was taller then Usagi, her eyes shined blue not a bright blue but a deeper shade of blue. Her hair was almost sliver and very long. She wore a simple white long dress that flowed with her as she walked. "Wow, she's so elegant and beautitful! She reminds me of a fairy Godmother from all the fairytales!" Usagi thought to herself as she sat on the purple velvet chair.
"Please show me your palm." The psychic asked as she lit a candle. Usagi slighty extended her right arm across the round table. She rested her elbow on the table and placed her right hand palm side up. "Thank you, my child." The woman said to her. Usagi watched as the womans blue eyes stared deeply into the lines of her palms. The woman deeply analayzed each one and was able to instantly feel the depths of the teenagers heartbreak and pain. "My child, I do feel a tremendous heartbreak was presented to you, in fact I sense this pain has taken so much out of you already." The woman spoke as sympathy dripped from her words. "However, this was always supposed to happen, you needed this in order to grow as a person." Usagi was confused by the womans words. "G-grow a person?" Usagi was nonplussed at such words. The Psychic understood the young girl was unsure of how to react so she explained deeper. "You see my child, things always happen for a reason good or bad." Usagi listened attentively as she watched the woman speak. "The reason for this is something you will discover on your own, however the insight I can give is that when one door closes another opens." The psychic looked deeper into Usagis palm lines with concentration so sharp it could cut butter. "There is a romantic energy already in your life someone who was destined for you to encounter, you just don't know who he is yet, However it is shown to me your paths have already crossed. He will be the one to help you in your journey, to show you the true meaning of happiness." The psychic continued to speak. "I can sense that you are wondering what the true meaning of happiness is and how to find that, and this current energy will be what helps you to realize that, but you cannot count soley on him, you need to be the one who finds it." Usagi was trying to digest all this sudden wisdom and knowlege. "I wonder who he is?" She thought to herself for a brief second. "My dear child, I leave you with this last piece of wisdom. You can only find true contentment within your heart, follow your heart and you will find what it is your seeking."
Usagi suddenly felt a peaceful feeling inside her. She had not felt that way in so long. "Thank you...so much." Usagi looked up at the woman. "Your welcome my child, your stronger then you think you are." The woman smiled at her. Usagi felt so connected to her it was almost as if she had already known her. "I feel like i've seen you around before." Usagi was instantly red-faced at how she allowed herself to think out loud again. "Oh no! She must think I'm a complete creep now!" The teenagers thoughts went to dread and shame. The woman giggled. "You know, we might just be closer then you think." The woman said to her in an attempt to make her feel better. "You've been very kind, thank you for everything!" Usagi ran out the door in a hurry to get home realizing she had been out for quite some time. She had forgotten Luna had not walked out.
The Woman and Luna watched carefully as the teen walked out. Making sure it was safe the woman transformed back to her original self as she lifted her transformation pen and waved it around her body. Causing a bright light to shine and being brought back to her original self. "Luna you've always taken such wonderful care of my daughter." Luna bowed down as the woman spoke. "Thank you Queen Serenity for coming down and helping, i knew you were the only one who get through to her." The queen smiled. "Queen Serenity, I dont mean to question you, but how come instead of Usagi visting you at the ruins of sliver millennium you decided to go out of your way and do all this instead?" Luna asked. The queen giggled. "You know how lazy my daughter can be, besides it gave me a chance to see what earth is like." The queen explained. "Luna I must get going, please continue to take care of Usagi. Thank you for everything." The Queen spoke as she got down and pet the small cat. "Of course Queen Serenity." Luna watched as the queen made her way back to the moon kingdom.
"Oh my gosh! Luna!" Usagi realized she had forgotten luna she ran back to the psychic shop. She had to be at least a block away. She ran down the busy streets of the Juban district once more. "There you are! Luna I'm so sorry!" Usagi said relived that she did not have to go all the way back to the psychic shop. "Don't worry about it usagi, lets just get home." Usagi and Luna had continued their walk. And just like clock work she had bumped into him again. "It's ironic how I keep running into him, could this be- no way! It can't this is only a coincidence!" The teenager tried to calm her overthinking regarding what the psychic had said about a romantic energy being in her life already. "Looks like we ran into each other again!" Mamarou laughed. "Yeah we did." Usagi blushed pink as she was taken in by his deep dark hair and dark eyes. His smile was so warm she could feel the warmth of it brighten her heart. "How's the book?" He asked her. "Oh I read a bit of it, it was nice." She once again found herself having butterflies. "I've never felt this way about someone." She thought to herself again. The two exchanged small talks about their day and what they had planned. "I was just about to grab coffee, would you like to join?" Mamarou was hoping she would say yes. "Woww, this totally cute guy is asking me to go with him!" Usagi thought with excitment. "I'd love too!" she gave a bright smile and the two of them walked into the coffee shop as the sun began to set. "This might just be the destined encounter Queen Serenity talked about." luna thought to herself as she watched the two walked in.
