3rd POV
It was a rainy night on wumpa island. Crash was at the house awaiting for his sister's return. As he waited he thought back to the recent adventures that had occurred with Crash and Coco. Traveling through time and space is a fantasy you'd only expect to happen in a episode of doctor who but no. Whether they like it or not what happened then was their reality and Crash didn't know what to do with that information. And there was one thing however that would not leave him alone. His mind wondered on it for hours even days not sure how to think about it.
"The last time I killed her friends, her screams were exquisite." It repeated in his head over and over. Whatever Tawna had seen must've been horrifying if an N. Tropy of any dimension found their screams enjoyable to the ears. And knowing that did not help Crash. He loved his sister with all his heart like any older sibling should. He has no clue what he'd do in Tawna's position. Losing both Coco and Tawna right before his eyes. Losing his sister and friend. Losing his little sister and his dearest friend. It hurts him just thinking about it. He can't possibly know what the pain was for Tawna. But he also didn't want to know how painful it was for her.
'It's been awhile since she left. Where the heck is she?' Crash thought to himself, sitting up from the couch he was relaxing on, and made his way out of the house in search of his little sister. He wondered aimlessly trying to figure out what direction she could've gone and how far she went. The islands are so big she could've gone anywhere. It could take him hours to find her. But he was ready for that. He was willing to deal with the possibility of blisters on his feet and even athletes foot. He didn't care. He was determined to find his sister. And he hoped to find her unharmed.
The rain beat down on his back. His body cold but not enough for him to freeze to death luckily. He's somewhat thankful that he was a animal with a lot of fur. It was a blessing and yet also a curse having to dry his fur. Despite popular belief, Crash can in fact speak. He just chooses not to around certain people. Only a select few knew of this. Coco and Aku-Aku for example are two of those select people and beings technically? Aku-Aku isn't exactly a person so who knows for that. But because they know he only talks when he's around both or one of the two. He called out his sisters name in search for her.
It has been almost a half an hour and still no sign of her. Crash was starting to get worried. He was desperate to find her. His voice becoming raspy and scratchy. His throat felt like it was burning as tears began to well in his eyes. He has to find her. He wouldn't be able to sleep if he didn't. He was about to retrace his steps see if he misses something when he saw her. She lied on the ground motionless. The rained seemed to get heavier as he saw her. His heart raced as his breath quickened. 'No' he thought to himself. 'This can't be happening. This can't be real. There's no way for it to be real. How could I let this happen.' Crash slowly walked to her motionless body. He crouched down and gently moved her body to face him.
His fur stood on end, his eyes widened as his vision became blurry with tears, and his breath hitched. There his sister lied with some type of stab wound in her chest. It was deep and still bleeding. It was somewhat recent but not a wound that was inflicted 5-10 minutes ago. No this wound seemed to be about 25 minutes old. The worse part was her body temperature. The body, whether it's that of an animal or human, will slowly lose any type of body heat after death. And Coco. She was ice cold. The cold rain probably didn't help her maintain her body heat as it would have slowly dropped. There was a lump in Crash's throat. "N-no." He said at a loss for words. Who could've done this to his poor innocent little sister. "No. No god please no. Don't let this be real. Please." He begged for this to be a nightmare and that he'd wake up in his room with his sister in the nearby room. He trembled as he brought her head to his chest as he rocked back and fourth slowly.
He continuously shook his head in denial. He just can't believe this to be true. "I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. I should've been there. I should have protected you." He apologized so my times. His eyes where shut tight. His head was throbbing and his heart was beating out of his chest. He failed her. He failed his job as an older brother. He failed to protect his precious little sister. He couldn't believe it. He didn't want to. But he knew the hard truth. Whether he wanted to admit it or not he knew it was true. His sister was gone and there was nothing he could do about it. So he sat there and cried holding the limp dead body of his beloved sister. With the last bit of energy his raspy voice could muster he said softly "I failed you." And then. He was surrounded by darkness.
