Sleep deprivation was taking it's toll on Alex, she had sat glassy eyed in each of her classes desperate to make it through to lunch. She found the perfect table at the back of the dining hall where she knew she wouldn't be disturbed. Not that she would anyway, her reputation didn't make people particularly friendly towards her. She was barely conscious when she felt the weight on the bench move beside her.

She snapped her head up to see a blonde haired blue eyes boy waving papers in my face.

"What the fuck do you want Chambers" she groaned slamming her head back on the table.

"You wanted the help you gotta do the work" he replied cockily. She slowly lifted her head to read the problems on the page. She groaned at the numbers exhausted and confused. "It's not that hard look" he began scribbling on a piece of paper explaining the step by step process. Slowly Alex became interested she tried herself and quickly got the hang of it. She smiled meekly at Chris.

"Thanks… Again… I guess" she mumbled.

"It's not a problem, if anything you should be thanking Gordie he's the one who helped me study." he motioned to a boy at another table calling him over. He walked over sitting next to Chris.

"Hey Chris, hey-" he stopped short when he recognised me "um Alex? Right" Chris only laughed.

"Don't be scared she's not as bad as the rest of them." Gordie laughed uneasily making a quick excuse about having to go to class leaving the two of them alone.

He showed her a few more problems before the bell rang and they both slumped slowly to class.

"I'll see you tonight? At the library right?" Alex rolled her eyes.

"Jesus Chamber's when am I supposed to sleep? Between you and Ace…" she stopped remebering the argument that morning "yeah I'll be there"

Chris smirked "Surely their can't be tension between the cobras" Alex didn't like being mocked she went to leave but he laughed again "You need to learn to relax Alex, don't take yourself so seriously" and with that he left.
