I have been super busy with school and work so this is just a short update but please, please keep reviewing and thanks for still reading!

Eyeball left a few minutes after Ace did, he was smart enough to know he wouldn't be welcome by the time he returned. She didn't move from the sofa. She lay on her side staring at the front door waiting to for the hum of Ace's car crawling up the driveway to break her trance. Her stomach churned as her mind ran wild with theories of what had happened. She slipped into a light sleep filled with twisted dreams of blood and shouts. The gentle thud of the door woke her abruptly and she sat up pulling her knees to her chest. Her eyes stayed glued to the floor avoiding the possible storm coming towards her. Instead all she heard was the gentle creak of the floorboards as a pair of dirty chuck taylors came into her vision. He sat down cautiously on the coffee table in front of her, but Alex stayed silent and still waiting for him to talk.

"I, erm, I lost it I know just the thought of him hurting you…" he trailed off losing his words for a moment "you're not going back there, I made sure he knew that."

"I don't think he'd have me back" she murmured beginning to pull herself up to his eye level "I needed out of that hell hole anyway" she mumbled reaching for Aces pack of cigarettes

"He's scum Alex, the guy has done nothing but treat you like his fucking punching bag since you were old enough to talk back." He snatched the packet back from her and lighting them both. "I would've never let you go back there if you begged."

"It's not that easy Ace, he's family and now that's it I got nowhere to live"

"You've got here" he asked raising an eyebrow "live here with me like full time" she didn't talk, she only blinked in response as a question bubbled up from her stomach rising through her throat burning her tongue as she spoke.

"And what about when, I mean if we break up? Then what? I'm fucked Ace I've got nowhere" she snapped, she tried to walk away hiding the sting of tears burning her eyes. Ace's arms shot out pulling her towards him. He held her arms so tight Alex was sure she'd see finger shaped bruises dotted along her arms. He held her inches from his face, so close his breath was skimming across her skin.

"I am never, ever going to let you go, you hear me? Never." Alex held her breath, she was so fixated on the roughness in his voice, his flawless features were twisted into a dominating stare and she couldn't resist.

She crashed her lips to his with an urgency that shocked herself. Ace was quick to respond pushing her back onto the couch and running his hands all across her tiny frame. Alex couldn't touch him enough she gripped handfuls of his hair and gasped when his lips began to slip down towards her throat. He left constellations of kisses across her skin that burned with lust before quickly returning his lips to hers. Their tongues fought for dominance but Aces won easily, snaking his hands down her back and around her waist towards her ass. Alex began to feel a warm patch form between her legs and began running her hands under his shirt gently raking her nails down his chest.

Ace pulled away slightly "I think I've been a gentleman long enough."
