Chapter 7
"NO?! What do you mean, no?!"
"I mean... no."
"The antidote didn't work?!"
"How could it not?! You said it would!"
"No, I said it might. I must have screwed up the dilution, or-"
"Admit it, D. You messed up."
"Again!"
"Leave him alone, Raph, it's not like you could do any better!"
"He-"
"ENOUGH!" I screamed. "Enough! Stop it! Stop fighting! Stop yelling at Donnie!"
Raph snarled. "How can you defend him right now? He said he could fix you, he said-"
"That's not what he said, Raph." I hissed. "He tried making an antidote and it didn't work. He just has to try again."
Donnie nodded. "It's not like it disastrously failed, I just need to work on it a little more."
"Then get working on it! And this time, don't screw up!" Raph snarled, stomping out.
Mikey stood next to me. "Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah." I nodded. "The antidote just didn't have an effect on me, I guess."
Leo nodded. "Okay, well, let's get out of Donnie's way so he can work on the antidote. Come on, you two."
"It's okay, M, we'll get your memory back somehow." Mikey smiled. "Even if we have to steal from the Kraang!"
"We're not going to steal from the Kraang, Mikey." Leo sighed, then turned to me. "If you ever feel sick or light-headed, let somebody know right away."
"Okay... why?"
"I'm just concerned that Donnie injected a drug into you that didn't have the desired outcome." He explained. "And he warned that the side effects could be dangerous."
I shrugged. "I'm not worried. I trust him."
"Only because you have to." Raph snorted.
"Yeah, well, you know wh-" I gasped suddenly. My head was hurting. I felt dizzy.
"L-Leo... I-I don't... I..."
The room started to spin. I tried steadying myself, and grabbed the nearest stable object- Mikey. He held onto me, looking worried.
"What's wrong?" Leo asked.
"My head... I n-need to sit down..." I replied.
Leo nodded. "Mikey, help me bring her to the couch. Raph, get Donnie."
Raph nodded, and ran off. Leo looped my arm around his shoulder, and Mikey copied him. They helped me make my way to the couch slowly. Carefully, they sat me down and sat on either side of me. I groaned. My head felt like it would explode at any moment... Everything was getting blurry.
I recognized Donnie suddenly appear in front of me, but I couldn't hear anything he was asking. I couldn't hear... anything at all. My ears were ringing so loud that it washed another wave of pain over my head. My vision was starting to blacken. I felt somebody lift me, and then I felt nothing.
