Chapter 9
"DONNIE!"
I bolted awake. That was her scream. Ming's scream.
I ran to the lab, my brothers on my heels.
She was sitting up, awake and blinking around. She had tears on her face.
"Donnie! Donnie, Mikey! Leo! Raph!" She gasped, half-sobbing. "Guys, I- remember- everything- I-"
I couldn't believe it. We all hugged her, half-crying.
"I can't believe I- How could I forget you guys?" She whimpered, hugging us back.
"Wait, what happened?" Mikey asked. "How come your memory's back?"
"My antidote." I realized. "It must have been a delayed reaction, or maybe I gave you the wrong dose, or-"
Ming shut me up with a hug. "You're the best. You saved me."
"Master Splinter!" Leo called out the lab door. "Sensei! Sensei, Ming's okay!"
Quickly, Master Splinter appeared, and hugged Ming with the rest of us.
"I'm sorry- I'm sorry-"
"Sorry for what? Donnie, you did it! You saved me." Ming smiled at me.
"Yeah, Donnie!" Mikey grinned. "You're a hero! Right, Raph?"
Everybody looked at Raph, who tried to hide his smile, but couldn't. "Alright, alright. You're right. Donnie's the hero today." He punched my shoulder. I laughed, grateful that everything was okay. That Ming would be okay.
