-Chapter 85- Regionals part 2-

-Rachel pov-

Everyone is down in the dumps. The other group was great and the Golden team are doing decently. Everyone looks like they have given up. I sigh and walk outside of the room.

I stand and watch from the door. Their dance is great. We wasted too much time. We screwed everything up. We screwed over ourselves.

But everything was worth it. We all got better lives out of everything. We all got a chance to be better people out of this. I got a better view point on life now.

"You gonna be ok?" I turn and see my mom wheeling over "You seem upset"

"Just thinking" I smile and look back at the competition "I'm honestly better than ever"

"Maybe you can pass that onto them" I turn back to my mom who has a small smile on her face "They could use a pick me up"

I nod and we head back to the room "Can I have everyone's attention?" The blazers all slowly look at me "I know...I know we came to win! We all wanted to win and go to New York right? But aren't you proud?! Aren't you proud about us getting this far? No one thought the orphans, prep school boys, and the suicide girl with her friends would make it here! We beat the odds! So what if we don't lose! Honestly I'm just happy to have sang with all of you for a possible last time! You're all my family and I love every single one of you! But we are going out there with our head held high ok?"

"She's right" Blaine stands up and walks to beside me "We've been doubted by many different people...some of us have been through hell and high water! But together we've made it this far...together we will win or together will we lose"

"Together we will sing the blues" There's laughter as Lucy walks towards "Let's just live on and on and on"

The lights flash and we all head out to the stage. We file out as a group holding hands. We get on the stage and look out to the crowd. They all seem pleasantly entertained.

"Tonight we had some amazing competition huh?!" The crowd cheers and the judge holds up his card "I have the winners right here! In third place is...Golden Goblets!..is this correct?..it seems there is a tie for first!"

"NO!" The soloist from Aural steps forward "We deserve first!"

"Why don't we compete for it?" It goes silent and Blaine steps forward "One group song against your group song"

"I like it!" The judge smiles "I'll flip a coin!"

The judge gets a coin and asks for sides. The coin flips and lands on tails. Aural calls first and we step off stage. I see someone move across the stage and freeze.

"They are secretly being taught by Will" Everyone looks over and I hear some growls "I don't think they know we know"

I see mom wheel away with her phone. I can't focus on that though. Gotta focus on how they sound and do. Gotta think of a good song. What could we do?

-Guy-Group-

This here's a jam for all the fellas

Trying to do what those ladies tell us

Get shot down 'cause ya over-zealous

Play hard to get females get jealous

Okay smarty

Go to a party

Girls are scantily clad and showing body

A chick walks by you wish you could sex her

But you're standing on the wall like you was Poindexter

Next day's function

High class luncheon

Food is served, and you're stone-cold munching

Music comes on people start to dance

But then you ate so much you nearly split your pants

A girl starts walking

Guys start gawking

Sits down next to you and starts talking

Says she wants to dance 'cause she likes to groove

So come on fatso and just bust a move

Just bust a move

You're on a mission and you're wishing

Someone could cure your lonely condition

Looking for love in all the wrong places

No fine girls just ugly faces

From frustration

First inclination

Is to become a monk and leave the situation

But every dark tunnel has a light of hope

So don't hang yourself with a celibate rope

Now movie's showing,

So you're going

Could care less about the five you're blowing

Theater gets dark just to start the show

Then ya spot a fine woman sitting in your row

She's dressed in yellow,

She says "Hello.

Come sit next to me you fine fellow."

You run over there without a second to lose

And what comes next, hey bust a move

If you want it, you got it

If you want it, baby, you got it

(Just bust a move)

If you want it, you got it

If you want it, baby, you got it

In this city

Ladies look pretty

Guys tell jokes so they can seem witty

Tell a funny joke just to get some play

Then you try to make a move and she says, "No way."

Girls are faking

Goodness saking

They want a man who brings home the bacon

Got no money and you got no car

Then you got no woman and there you are

Some girls are sadistic,

Materialistic

Looking for a man makes them opportunistic

They're lying on a beach perpetrating a tan

So that a brother with the money can be their man

So on the beach you're strolling

Real high rolling

Everything you have is yours and not stolen

A girl runs up with something to prove

So don't just stand there, bust a move

If you want it, you got it

You want it, baby, you got it

(Just bust a move)

If you want it, you got it

You want it, baby, you got it

(break it down for me fellas)

Your best friend Harry

Has a brother Larry

In five days from now he's gonna marry

He's hoping you can make it there if you can

'Cause in the ceremony you'll be the best man

You say, "Neat-o,"

Check your libido

And roll to the church in your new tuxedo

The bride walks down just to start the wedding

And there's one more girl you won't be getting

So you start thinking

Then you start blinking

A bridesmaid looks and thinks that you're winking

She thinks you're kinda cute so she winks back

And now you're feeling really firm 'cause the girl is stacked

Reception's jumping

Bass is pumping

Look at the girl and your heart starts thumping

Says she wanna dance to a different groove

Now you know what to do G bust a move

If you want it, you got it

If you want it, baby, you got it

(Just bust a move)

If you want it, you got it

You want it, baby you got it

(Move it, boy)

The crowd claps and we need a song "You know what we are gonna sing?" I look at Blaine "It's easy Rach"

"Follow me" I turn toward everyone "Let's give them a show 'win or lose'"

I tell the band as we head out what we are singing.

-Blaine-Rachel-Dotty, Angela, and Cherry-Group-

Just a small-town girl

Livin' in a lonely world

She took the midnight train goin' anywhere

Just a city boy

Born and raised in South Detroit

He took the midnight train goin' anywhere

A singer in a smokey room

The smell of wine and cheap perfume

For a smile they can share the night

It goes on and on, and on, and on

Strangers waiting

Up and down the boulevard

Their shadows searching in the night

Streetlights people

Livin' just to find emotion

Hidin' somewhere in the night

Workin' hard to get my fill

Everybody wants a thrill

Payin' anything to roll the dice just one more time

Some will win, some will lose

Some were born to sing the blues

Oh, the movie never ends

It goes on and on, and on, and on

Strangers waiting

Up and down the boulevard

Their shadows searching in the night

Streetlights people

Livin' just to find emotion

Hidin' somewhere in the night

Don't stop believin'

Hold on to that feelin'

Streetlight people

Don't stop believin'

Hold on

Streetlight people

Don't stop believin'

Hold on to that feelin'

Streetlight people

The crowd erupts and the other club walks up. The judge holds out the first place trophy. The guy walks toward it but he hands it to us...WE WON! The moment is short lived as police run on stage.

"WILLIAM SHUESTER! You are under arrest for breaking restraining orders" They pull will by his wrists off the stage "Based on your record you know your rights"

"What did I miss?" I turn toward mom as she wheels up "Who won?"

"We did" I hold up the trophy and the applause goes again "We are going to New York!"

I'm going where I belong!
