2. Parcjak.

The Doctor's companion, Ommera, is taking her friend Meran for a day out to Parcjak. He had said that he would like to travel the Universe, so Ommera is treating him.

Ommera approaches a café for them to have a snack before continuing their day out.
Zeela approaches with menus for them to choose from. She has had some difficulty fitting in with the staff there as she has had a problem controlling her anger. She has frequent flashbacks to her time with the Master and ought really to have some therapy to overcome these.
Zeela places the menus on the table for the guests, but the last menu is slammed down suddenly and loudly.
Ommera looks up and for an instant sees a flash of deep anger in Zeela's face before Zeela controls herself. It is momentary yet revealing. Ommera chooses to say nothing at the time and they order their snacks. She alerts her friend Meran to her concern about Zeela, but he didn't see the instant. After the meal he goes out on his own for further adventures there, to give Ommera time to investigate.
Zeela approaches with the bill and Ommera pays it and asks Zeela to sit and chat. Zeela sees a possible friend in Ommera and asks her to buy her a meal which she does. Ommera can tell there is something amiss here.

"Where are you from, Zeela?" Ommera asks.
"I grew up on Alphon Three," Zeela says as she wolfs down the meal. "It was tough. I was beaten by my minders. You're the first person to be kind to me."
Ommera winces at Zeela's pain.

"How did you come to be here?" Ommera asks.
"I became a companion to a man who called himself the Master," Zeela says. "He was tough going. In the end I rebelled and left him."
"The Master gave me this trinket box," Zeela says. She retrieves a small box from a small pocket. "He told me to take it with me wherever I go. I really like it."

Ommera decides she must tell the Doctor. "Is it alright if I just message a friend quickly?"
The Doctor arrives a few minutes later having landed well out of view; and earshot!

And so, the Doctor hears about the Master being left on Petza. He knows of Petza and its intolerant tribes. "I'm surprised they let you go," he says.
"So am I," Zeela says. When she comes to think about it again she is even more surprised.
The Doctor re-affirms her. "I think when they saw the Master lunging about, they would recognise that you had very little choice in your actions. Well done for alerting them!"

"Can I see your trinket box?" the Doctor asks. He is trying to downplay the urgency of this as at any minute Zeela could be tracked down by the Master.
Zeela retrieves the trinket box again for the Doctor to see it.
The Doctor immediately recognises a Tracer Box when he sees one. "Please, can I hold it?" he asks gently. Once in his hand he uses sleight of hand to swap it for another similar looking harmless trinket box he has brought with him after Ommera alerted him. Zeela's Tracer Box must be destroyed at all costs or the Master will find her easily. The Doctor makes light of it and passes back the swapped box.

Zeela's break time has come to an end and a café manager approaches her.
"I must go now," she says as she gets up to go.

"Poor thing," Ommera says quietly when Zeela has gone.
"Yes," the Doctor says. "I wonder how many of the Master's companions ever had the strength to dump him? She's extraordinary!"

Meran arrives back at the table having been for a brief stroll.

As they get up and leave the table, Meran notices a small pretty box fall from the Doctor's loose sleeve. He quickly retrieves it assuming it belongs to the Doctor and so it must be safe for him to carry. He pockets it to keep the small box safe. He has no idea of the dangers this box holds.

What can the Doctor do? He has concern for the Master to ensure he stays alive. We saw this level of care from the Doctor in the TV episode: Last of the Time Lords.

What will happen with the small Tracer Box that Meran has picked up? Maybe a future episode will reveal!
