Welcome everyone to chapter 14!

(*Announcer's voice*)

And it looks to me folks that the current score appears to be 2 - 0! Will he be able to keep that score and make it to 3 - 0 or will our great hero meet defeat? Let's find out in this chapter!

Also, PROPHECY TIME!

I hope you enjoy and let's get right into this!

Author's notes:

Before this story's rewrite, I was working with my buddy Dante. He actually wrote this chapter's battle scene, explaining that some people in Alagaesia sorta worshiped dragons like gods. I don't know how accurate that is but he actually read the books so I'm trusting him on this. (I miss you bro!)

When Amira awoke, she found that she was lying in the shade of a large tree with her seven friends kneeling beside her with worried expressions.

"Amira! Thank gods you're awake!" Hazel exclaimed when her friend's purple eyes opened.

"You started fading and you almost disappeared," Nico told her, taking his hands from her shoulders. "What happened?"

Amira tried to sit up but gasped when she felt pain shoot through her sides. She froze. Her ribs felt broken so did her dream actually happen…?

"It was Tartarus." She finally admitted, placing her hand on her side to heal herself.

"Person or place?" Annabeth asked quickly but warily. Amira shook her head

"Person. Well, perhaps place as well but I do not know."

"Did he say anything?"

"He… he threatened to destroy us all if we continued our quest." For a second she could have sworn she heard a voice in her head;

'Do not tell them of our deal.'

With a heavy heart, she obeyed the voice and neglected to mention her dragon and the sabotage order.

"So basically every immortal supervillain." Jason sighed.

"He said that he will send 'friends' after Percy and Eragon in Alagaesia after mentioning my gods' inability to interfere in the affairs of those living there. I do not know what that means though." Amira added, yelping as her ribs snapped back in place.

"Oh my gods." Annabeth's grey eyes widened, hands going to her mouth. "He's sending the giants! And if your gods can't interfere… Oh no! The giants can only be killed by a god and demigod working together."

Amira shut her eyes, laying back on the ground. She had finished healing herself but still felt sore and weak. After hearing what Annabeth said, she felt worried too now.

"This all is my fault." She muttered to herself. "If I had only not let go... Percy, Eragon, how I hope that you are alright."

== Alagaesia ==

Percy sliced through a hellhound just as some mist sprang up behind him, Annabeth's face appearing in it.

"Hey babe! Can you make it quick? I'm a bit busy!" He greeted, blocking a Dracaena sword.

"The Giants!" Annabeth warned. "They're-"

"DIE VALKÓDIS SPAWN OF POSEIDON!"

"-in Alagaesia but I'm guessing you figured that out."

"Yep. My favorite one too!" Percy told her sarcastically, stabbing Riptide into the monster's chest. "We followed the monsters and turned out to be a trap which means I get an 'I told you so' from Murtagh. He kinda reminds me of Thalia. Anyway, his dragon got poisoned by Polybotes's water so we gotta keep the monsters off him until he can finish healing. I'm not sure how- hold on."

Percy extended an arm and there was a distant wail, as well as a cry of 'Thanks!' He turned back to his girlfriend.

"I'm not sure how much longer it'll take but Mr. Anti-dad is getting impatient so we gotta-" glancing to the side, the son of Poseidon cursed heavily. "Sorry I gotta go. I love you, I miss you, and I'll be home soon!"

He blew Annabeth a kiss before swiping his hand through the rainbow, cutting the connection.

He had a moment of confusion, clearly remembering that Iris Messages supposedly didn't work in Alagaesia, then shook the thought away and stabbed a hellhound that had come close to Murtagh as he continued to disinfect Thorn's wound with magic.

"How much longer?" Percy called, fending off a telekhine.

"Much longer if you keep interrupting me!" Murtagh yelled back. "A couple more minutes!"

Thorn lay on his side, panting and whimpering occasionally while a gash on his side bled. The blood was mixed with a liquid Percy had seen before: Polybotes' poisoned water. Under Murtagh's guidance, the poison was being siphoned out of Thorn's blood by magic but it was a delicate process as the poison was potent and took a decent amount of time.

"I will kill the Poseidon-spawn whether or not you try to stop me," Polybotes growled, swatting at Elves and warriors that came near with his giant trident. "He has thrice defied me but no longer! Now it is my turn to do the killing!"

Eragon wished he could just kill the giant but apparently, all he could do was keep it distracted. It didn't help that it kept flinging around acid-skinned fire-breathing snakes.

'Not I have a say!' Saphira argued as she lunged at the giant, slicing at him with her claws and biting his shoulder.

Golden blood, ichor as Percy previously mentioned, flowed out of the wounds but not for very long as the wounds healed themselves.

"You should have realized by now that you cannot kill me! Not without a god on your side!" Polybotes cackled as he swung at the duo. Saphira jumped back and though Eragon also ducked, the weapon passed mere inches above his head.

'Way too close!' He thought. Saphira leaped at the giant, toppling him to the ground just as Arya and Firnen joined the fight.

"Apologies for being late. We had some monsters to slay." The elf announced as Firnen joined Saphira in pinning down the giant.

The two riders leaped from their dragons and started hacking away at Polybotes's face but the giant continued to laugh despite the fact that his face was being shredded by the Rider's blades.

"Haven't you learned? You cannot kill me!" He jumped to his feet and around and, being the lighter dragon, Firnen was thrown off. Polybotes then smacked away Saphira with enough force to snap the tree she rammed into. Their riders were also thrown off and would have surely died were they not protected by their wards. He then turned and advanced on Thorn who was just barely recovering from the poison. "The others distracted me from killing you off but let's see them interfere now!"

"NO!"

Percy sent a blast of water from a nearby stream into the giant's face. It turned a murky green color, killing the grass when it spilled off the giant, but it had the effect he was hoping for. The giant stopped and turned to Percy.

"One last duel, son of Poseidon?" Polybotes challenged, hefting his giant weapon.

"Well, my score is 2 to 0." Percy smirked. "Let's see if I can keep it up."

The Demigod and Giant charged each other.

== Ω Ω Ω ==

Polybotes roared in annoyance as he swung his trident like a baseball bat, repeatedly trying and failing to hit the demigod, who kept out of the Giant's reach.

"Why! Won't! You! Stay! Still?!" He roared in annoyance.

"Cuz I don't wanna die!" Percy responded like it should have been obvious. He didn't even bother to counterattack, instead just continuing to avoid attacks but remaining close enough to keep the giant attacking. He smirked his signature grin. "What's wrong? Catfish got your tongue?"

"AAAGGGHHH!"

Polybotes smashed his fists into the ground and caused such a tremor that Percy stumbled and fell.

"Ha!" Polybotes yelled, raising his trident for a final blow. "Looks like the score is 2 to 1 now! And I only need one point to win!"

Percy gulped then smirked. He casually pointed behind the gain but before he could turn around, Polybotes was hit from behind.

'Time to learn how to fly!' Saphira growled. The giant lost his group on his giant trident as he was dragged into the air

"You think you can keep me from my prize?!" Polybotes bellowed, trying to grab the dragon as he flailed.

'I'm just wasting time.' Saphira admitted, climbing higher and higher into the air. 'But you want Percy? Then go get him!'

Then the dragon let go.

Meanwhile, underneath the two in the sky, Percy redrew Riptide and set the hilt of his sword on the ground. He looked up for a small second, then moved it an inch to the side. He grabbed some rocks and used them to prop up Riptide with the blade pointing up. At first, the action confused everyone but then it started to dawn on them what he was doing.

"Ohhh, I see." Murtagh grinned. He said a couple of words in the ancient language and the ground formed up around Riptide's hilt, keeping the blade pointed straight up.

"Alright, we'd better move back," Percy suggested, wiping his hands together. The moment they were clear of the impact zone, Polybotes hit the ground right on top of the sword.

"OOOOWWWW!"

The giant exploded into dust and seeing that their enemy was now defeated, Arya, Eragon, Murtagh, and Percy mounted the dragons (Percy riding with Eragon) and flew off.

== Earth ==

The Prophecy-retrieval group continued onward for the next couple of days until finally, without any more major incident, the hills of Camp Jupiter came into view.

The group of demigods and Dragon Rider descended towards the camp, making sure to steer clear of the Pomerian Line, and Amira marveled at the sight of the Roman Engineering. At first, the half-bloods were worried about the barriers blocking the Alagaesian from entering as she kinda appeared in Camp Half-Blood but they decided to take the chance.

"What is this place?" Amira gaped in wonder after easily passing over the border.

"Amira, welcome to Camp Jupiter!" Jason announced proudly. "A place where demigods can train and live safe from monsters. It's just like Camp Half-Blood but for us Roman demigods."

When they approached the city a statue suddenly appeared out of nowhere with a burst of yellow sparks.

"Identifications please?" Terminus announced.

Shocked and startled, Amira reached for her sword but Annabeth placed a hand on her arm to calm her and the purple-haired Rider relaxed.

"How does six of the seven of the great prophecy, the Ambassador of Pluto, and Amira Moraow work for you?" Jason offered. Amira hid an impressed smile at the fact that he had remembered her surname despite her only mentioning it once.

"I suppose that'll do. Julia? Weapon collection please?" Terminus called. A little girl then poked her head out from the pedestal of the statue.

"Hi." She giggled

"Hi, Julia," Frank smiled, ruffling the young girl's hair before handing her his bow. Jason did the same with his Gladius and the others did as well with their weapons.

"You are giving deadly weapons to a child?" Amira asked, super confused.

"Yep. When you're a demigod, you kinda tend to throw normal rules out the window." Leo joked.

"Yes. My assistant is very responsible. Mister Leo, please do keep your dragon as a case if you plan on bringing it within city limits." Terminus added and Leo nodded but said Festus was going to stay outside the city.

"May I please keep Arv- my sword? I feel quite uncomfortable without it." Amira wondered.

"I apologize but absolutely no weapons. No exceptions, even for the legionnaires." The god denied.

Amira hesitated then very reluctantly unbuckled her sword belt, placing the sword and dagger on the tray Julia held. She was grateful that she was still able to use magic.

"Pretty sword." The little girl told her when she saw the Alagaesian weapon. "And pretty hair.

"Thank you." Amira thanked, unconsciously brushing back a strand of her long purple hair.

"Very well. You seem to be clean so you may proceed." Terminus announced. The eight began to walk away but the god called out to them, "Oh, and please don't start a riot again! It was very frustrating to stop the crowds!"

"You guys caused a riot?" Nico asked his friends with a single brow raised in amusement.

"No. Well, sorta. Maybe… Yeah." Jason admitted, rubbing his neck.

"What happened?" Nico grinned.

"I'll tell you later but the general gist is that an eidolon possessed Leo and made him fire the Argo II on the city."

"Umyeahletsnottalkaboutthatrightnoworeverwefixedthingsupanywaysoletsjustforgetit." Leo quickly interrupted with a bright red face, stepping between the two as the tips of his ears caught and Jason exchanged a look before laughing.

The eight reached Temple Hill where they found Reyna waiting. She was wearing her armor as she watched the people of New Rome with an odd look.

"Praetor Reyna." Hazel greeted, happy to see her friend.

"Centurion Levesque," Reyna responded, maintaining formality. They then proceeded to break said formality and hug each other. "It's good to see you all again."

"You too," Piper told her friend, giving a hug as well.

The others also all gave their greeting to their friend before the Roman noticed Amira standing behind them all. The young Alagaesian seemed to be thinking pretty hard with a face of worry and confusion.

"And you are...?" Reyna asked. The Alagaesian looked up in slight surprise.

"Huh? Oh, um... My name is Amira Moraow." She told the Roman with the usual Elvish greeting, knowing and ignoring the fact that no one knew it yet sticking with the habit. "Annabeth has told us that you have something that may be a help to us on our quest?"

"The Sibylline Books." Annabeth supplied. Reyna nodded.

"Yes. Follow me."

The eight followed the Roman through New Rome until they reached an odd-looking building and went inside. As soon as they stepped in, Annabeth and Piper were attacked by a mass of ginger curls.

"Annabeth! Piper! I'm so glad to see you again!" Rachel Dare exclaimed.

"Hi Rachel! Yeah, you too." Annabeth agreed with a laugh as her friend exchanged hugs.

"What? No love for me?" Leo grinned, spreading his arms out. He was ignored.

"Rachel, we need your help," Hazel told the redhead seriously.

"Of course." Rachel agreed. "What's wrong?"

"Uh, a really big something." Piper gestured for Amira to come over. The Rider walked over to where the two girls were standing. "First, meet our new friend."

"Hi! I'm Rachel Dare." The redhead greeted.

"Amira Moraow." The Rider introduced simply with a small nod. Despite her happy and friendly attitude, Rachel really put her off; she could sense the power radiating from the redhead and it made her wary and uncomfortable.

"So what do you need help with?" The Oracle wondered.

"Tartarus took control of the Underworld and already kicked Hades out and is coming to the mortal world so we need to stop him before he destroys everything and everyone on Earth then moves to other words as well," Jason explained. For a moment Rachel just stared at the blond with a slack jaw and wide-eyes.

"Who is doing what?!" She exclaimed with wide eyes.

"That's why we were hoping to get a prophecy." Annabeth agreed.

"Well, Ella and I got a few things down but not nearly enough. It's still a lot though."

Rachel led them into a large room where dozens of books and scrolls were scattered across a big table. On the opposite side of said table, Ella the Harpy was muttering to herself as she nibbled on a piece of jerky. She looked up when she saw them come in and squawked happily.

"Ella is happy to see Hazel again!" She said as she harpy-hugged Hazel.

"We're happy to see you too, Ella." The daughter of Pluto agreed with a small laugh.

At first, Amira was shocked at seeing a half-bird-half-woman but shrugged it away; she had seen a lot weirder since arriving on Earth. After exchanging greetings to their friend, the demigods all sat down around the table and that's when Ella noticed Amira.

She squawked crazily before quickly hiding behind Hazel's chair.

"Ella? What's wrong?" Frank worried.

"Seven half-bloods- no." Ella started, then shook her head. "Five shall go west- no."

"What is happening?" Amira asked, turning to Jason. It was Hazel who answered.

"Ella has a really good memory so when she read a bunch of prophecy books before they all got burned, she accidentally memorized them and sometimes she can remember what they said."

"How many did she read?"

"We're not sure but apparently a lot."

Then Ella stopped muttering and turned to Amira, staring directly into her purple eyes. The Dragon Rider involuntarily leaned away, unnerved by the harpy's intense gaze. Ella stared silently before she suddenly began to quote a prophecy:

A Rider trapped from another land

Brought here by another's hand

Seven half-bloods shall aid her in quest

To help her complete impossible tests

She must search the darkest place

To find and enter Evil's base

A test of strength she must complete

Unexpected friends again shall meet

Forced to choose her life or friends

She shall save the worlds or bring the end

And that concludes the thirteenth chapter of A Strange and Different Land!
