Daisy: Nice to Meet Me

The absurdity of the current situation was still settling in for Daisy. After receiving an invitation to join the Smash Brothers roster, she could contain herself. She had been waiting in anticipation for years to partake in the famous Smash Tournaments alongside her longtime Mushroom Kingdom friends, and now she had finally been granted the opportunity! Getting to join up with her longtime besties in Peach and Rosalina, as well as learning and meeting the other fighters made her thoughts fill with happiness.

Seated comfortably at the back of a car, Daisy was eagerly texting Peach and Rosalina on her phone, with a big smile on her face. "We won't be able to see you until tomorrow." a message from Rosalina read. "Hope your first day goes well!" Another similar one from Peach. Daisy took a deep breath, attempting to keep her nervousness to a minimum. From the stories the Mario Brothers and Princesses told her, she would be in for a surprise when meeting her new selves. She knew to anticipate some variations in personality, but hopefully none of them would go too crazy on her. Daisy recalled some of the adventures Peach had with her 'new family' many years ago, apparently it was a blast for her.

As Daisy continued drifting along in her thoughts, her car ride came to a stop, and a voice from the driver shook her out of her trance. "Princess Daisy, we've arrived." Her cab driver calmly commented.

Daisy gave her thanks to the driver before stepping out of the car, making sure her orange dress remained pristine. Looking around, she was quick to note that the car had taken her to the entrance of a rather simple looking office building, and 2 individuals were now approaching. One looked to be an older looking Japanese man in a gray business suit holding a clipboard in one of his arms. The other was a young woman in a similar colored business dress.

"Princess Daisy of the Super Mario world?" the woman asked out.

The princess put a smile on and introduced herself to them. "That's me! It's a pleasure to meet you!" she excitedly spoke out.

"If you would kindly follow us." The man holding the clipboard requested as they all began walking into the building.

Stepping into the entrance area, Daisy was surprised to see that the office building appeared to be very sparse inside. An information desk occupied the center of the room, with 2 large elevators occupying the back of the room. It was fair to guess that this must be the 'cloning' location that Peach mentioned to her earlier.

As the group of three continued walking toward the elevators, Daisy took the time to unload some of the thoughts on her mind.

"So, how exactly is this going to happen?" She started probing.

As they stepped inside one of the elevators, the woman spoke up first. "Relax, Daisy. The process only goes for about 10 minutes, nothing major. All you have to do is remain still for the procedure to safely pass."

"The hard part always comes right after we finish the splitting." The man continued as he began writing a few things on his clipboard. "I'm sure you understand, as it usually takes several hours for new arrivals to...get accustomed with themselves."

Daisy nodded as she listened in. One could only imagine what meeting 1 clone of you was like, let alone 7. As the elevator doors opened, she knew that her imagination would become a reality very soon.

Stepping out of the elevator, Daisy was greeted by the sight of a very spacious room with a large circle occupying the middle. A white platform engulfed the middle of this circle, with 7 lines jutting outward toward 7 other platforms, each with a different colored light. Wires ran under the floor to various machines and computers in a separate room, all lit up and ready to begin.

(;BREAK;)

After a brief orientation session, Daisy was now situated on the center platform, various noises going off and many different lights surrounding her.

"Ready...NOW!" As the nearby voice of a scientist rang out, a strong flash engulfed the entire room, forcing Daisy to shut her eyes. She had been told to keep them closed for the duration of the process until the scientists allowed her to open.

A wave of vibrations began enveloping Daisy during this time. She couldn't exactly describe it, but it somehow felt comforting, painful, and energizing all at once.

Eventually, the light faded, and she was finally able to open her eyes.

As anticipated, the 7 platforms surrounding the center were now occupied with a copy of Daisy, with each of them differing only through a different colored dress and varying facial expressions. From left to right, she spotted a Green, Pink, Blue, Red, Purple, White, and Black copy, each showing different expressions.

"Wow, it really worked!" The Daisy in the white dress was the first to speak up. She looked like she was in unusually high spirits.

The original Daisy suddenly got swamped by the white and Pink copies from the sides. She was certainly surprised, but seeing how her other selves were feeling happy, she hugged them back anyway.

"Oh joy, now we've got 3 annoying loudmouths to deal with." The red Daisy made her personality clear there.

"Calm down Daisy." The Green one next to her gave a shoulder hug. "Can't you see how happy all of them are together?" she gently spoke with a smile.

Red Daisy sighed. "Whatever. I just hope they leave me out of this."

As white and Pink Daisy continued their hugs, the purple and blue copy approached the original with a coy expression. "Happy to see us, sister?" She looked more of the flirty type.

Looking around, original Daisy was clearly mixed about this whole ordeal. "It's certainly interesting to me." As the remaining 5 girls approached the center, the original Daisy was able to get a closer look at her new copies. The white and pink copies hugging her appeared to be the ones in a happy mood, both holding big grins on their faces.

The pink one let go of her bear hug and moved to stand with her purple 'sister' as they embraced.

"Soooo, I guess this makes us all a family now?" Pink Daisy questioned the other girls.

From what original Daisy had gathered so far, the white and pink copies acted the most like her, just with a little more energy and positivity in their voices. The Green Daisy seemed more subtle, almost like a mother figure, while the Red one seemed very standoffish, as if she'd rather be anywhere but here. Purple Daisy, if her facial expression and mannerism was something to go by, was the more...romantic type compared to the rest.

The blue and black Daisys were the last to approach the middle area. It was immediately clear to everyone that blue Daisy was the nervous and shy one of this batch, as her eyes were facing down and she looked nervous and a little shaky as she approached. Black Daisy, in contrast, looked very confident in her steps, appearing to be a little aloof, but with a stoic expression.

"What kept you two?" the green Daisy courteously asked.

"Don't worry about it." The Black one uttered with a smirk. The other girls eyed her with suspicion after she spoke out.

Original Daisy noted the blue copy crouched behind her. "You alright there?" she ventured a question. The blue dressed girl quickly turned her head with a slight nervous twitch.

"I...i'm a-alright, thank you." The blue girl quietly muttered.

"You mind speaking up a little!? We can barely hear you and your right in front of us!" Red Daisy was obviously having none of it with her nervous sister.

"Calm down, Red! You know how nervous she can be sometimes! Can't you go a little easy on her!?" White Daisy got up in the face of her red sister.

"As if you'd react any differently. She's such an annoyance!"

It appeared to original Daisy that Red and White Daisy had some personal issue with each other. The 2 of them were standing face to face, glaring at each other and seemingly ready to take a swing at their copy.

Suddenly, Green Daisy stepped in between them and gently separated the two. "Alright you two. Let's save the bickering for later, alright?" that seemed to calm down the bickering sisters for the time being.

As the tension in the room started to fade, the double doors in the room swung room. The room suddenly got more crowded as Peach and Rosalina, both with their own group of clones following right behind them, stepped inside.

"Are you all enjoying yourselves so far?" A Peach in a white dress asked.

"They seemed to be getting along juuuust fiiine." a Rosalina in a pink dress coyly commented.

"Peach, Rosalina!? Didn't think I'd be seeing you both here!" the original Daisy reacted.

"We've been asked to help show you around, seeing how it's your first time here." the Original Rosalina began. "The Smash Estates are easy to get lost in, and we thought you'd enjoy our company."

The Daisys all looked at one another. They could all tell that having some help with their new...'family' would be useful right now. With nothing else to deal with, the 8 new Sarasaland Princesses walked out with their friends to leave.

"This feels weird." Daisy quietly thought to herself(selves?). "It's only been a few minutes, but I feel like I've known these other girls for years." She was left to ponder this as the large entourage went off to begin touring the Estates.
