PJOxAvengers. Percy saves Nat on his field trip and sparks the relationship. Percy's frighteningly intelligent when he tries and it shows.

Auntie Nat

Nick Fury was a pragmatic man. He had to be as the Director of the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division, or S.H.I.E.L.D. As it became more publicly known after the invasion of the Chitauri in New York.

That was why, when a forgotten file, buried underneath the seemingly never ending paperwork that came with the job resurfaced, he checked its contents.

It did not disappoint.

Name: Perseus Achilles Jackson

Age: 17 years

Occupation: Student at Goode High School

Parents: Sally Jackson-Blotis (Mother)

Paul Blofis (Step-Father)

Estelle Blofis (Half-Sister)

Father is unknown and reported to be "lost at sea" before his birth.

Charges: Kidnapping mother at age 12 and proceeded to be chased in a nationwide manhunt across the US. Charged with blowing up the St. Louis Arch, and participated in a gunfight against another man in Santa Monica. All charges dropped as it was revealed that he and his companions were kidnapped with his mother and he had fought them off.

Video Surveillance shows him with roughly 40 other teenagers in Manhattan about a year ago beating up the homeless with blunted weapons. Never charged.

Disappeared for 8 months with brief sightings on the West Coast and Alaska.

Eventually sighted in Greece during the great earthquake 7 months ago.

Threat: Potentially dangerous. Need more information.

Fury had nearly forgotten about the troubled youth that was kicked out of more schools than he could count on one hand. And while "peace" seemed to finally find both him and the newly christened Avengers, he couldn't take that risk.

"Avengers Assemble. I have a mission for you."

LINEBREAK

Perseus "Percy" Achilles Jackson was on a field trip, which he found was an extremely nice change of pace from the boring drivel that was the American Education System. He loathed school for several reasons, but none of them were that common.

As a dyslexic and ADHD plagued youth, he had a harder time than the rest of the sheep. That was reason number one. Unfair expectations were placed on him when he didn't and couldn't learn the same way his peers did.

The second reason he hated it was because, despite his shortcomings, it was too easy. He retained 99% of what his teachers said, which was why his grades were so good, but his notes were chicken scratch (assuming he took any at all) and the constant fidgeting didn't help the teachers' moods.

Naturally, it irked them even more when they asked him a question, thinking that he wasn't paying attention, and he answered it nearly word for word verbatim what they had said. He took particular satisfaction in their disbelieving expressions.

He was also an observant child and highly intuitive. He learned to read the signs quickly, whether it was human behavior or political landscapes. He never had an interest in politics though; he thought they were all morons.

But he was still different. He only thoroughly studied disciplines such as mathematics and physics and the like that had to do with the ocean. Waves became his favorite and most interesting passion and the creative and clever ways he could use them with his powers.

Yes, powers. As brilliant as he was, he figured out his heritage a year ago and immediately developed them in private. "He isn't dead, Percy. Just lost at sea," his mother had said after he asked for what seemed like the millionth time. He had seen a one-eyed man and his brain immediately told him "cyclops".

The rest was a cakewalk to figure out.

Back to the field trip, the class was walking on the catwalk of the shark tank with the guide explaining everything that Percy already knew from the encyclopedic knowledge of all sea life (and horses) in his head. The sharks wanted to interact with him, but he mentally told them he was in disguise and told them to scare the other kids because he would find it funny.

They did and so did he.

It was as he reined in his chuckles that he noticed it. A beautiful redhead woman, probably in her mid-twenties, walking with a small, almost imperceptible limp and clutching her side. He scanned over her injuries in a quick few seconds before he looked behind her.

Two men that anyone should have been able to tell had no business being at an aquarium, but mortals were ignorant. Clearly, they were following the woman and while Percy wasn't as naive as children his age - the woman could be a serious threat - he was raised by the greatest mother on the planet.

He had to help her.

He looked back to her and the two held gazes. Sea-green clashing with emerald, before Percy flickered his eyes to the men, back to her, and gave her an imperceptible nod. Her shoulders relaxed ever so slightly.

"Now who wants to pull the lever to feed the sharks?" the guide had asked and Percy immediately shot up his hand, his face morphing into the mask of innocence and childlike excitement. The guide nodded to him with a smile.

He looked at the woman, hand hovering over the correct lever, and gave her another nod. The woman took off sprinting (as much as she could in her injured state) through the group and away from the two men.

Just as she was to reach the end, Percy quickly grabbed the catwalk lever and pulled, sending his class, the guide, and the two men into the shark tank, much to their surprise.

"Thanks, kid," the woman said, but he didn't look at her.

"Better push me in as well to make it look like I panicked as you tried to run away," Percy said quickly and in a hushed voice.

The woman, though entirely surprised at his words and actions, did just that before escaping to wherever she needed to be.

She missed all the sharks curling around the boy, but she would find him soon enough.

Too bad he got expelled.

LINEBREAK

After that, it took two weeks before she showed up at Sweet on America, the candy store at which the boy's mother worked. She saw him before she even walked in, dutifully reading a book about what looked like wave mechanics and his mother behind the counter.

The bell dinged as she opened the door, but his eyes followed her every step (she could tell without looking at him) before they returned to his book.

"Hi! Welcome to Sweet on America, my name is Sally and over there is my son Percy. How can I help you?" the woman only a few years older than Natasha asked with a bright smile, though there was a tiredness in her sapphire blue eyes.

"Hello Sally, I'm Natalie. I'm actually here to thank your son. You see, a couple weeks ago I had these men pestering me about a date while I was trying to enjoy the aquarium. They wouldn't take no for an answer and followed me around the entire thing.

Your son noticed my discomfort and while I was trying to lose them through the crowd of your son's class, he accidentally hit the wrong lever and dumped the class and the men into the shark tank just after I was safe. I know he didn't mean to, but I was thankful either way," Natalie said to Sally and Sally looked over to her son, Natalie following her gaze, to see him beam in amusement from over the top of his book.

Both women chuckled and turned their attention back to each other. "I'm glad he was able to inadvertently help you. It's a bummer he got expelled, but it couldn't be helped. You can go thank him if you'd like. I'm not off for a little bit longer," Sally told her and Natalie smiled and nodded after thanking Sally one more time.

As soon as she sat down across from Percy, the book was gently closed and laid on the table between them. Natalie looked at it and raised an impressed eyebrow.

"Wave mechanics? A bit above the learning curve for someone your age, no?" she asked the boy, not unkindly, but Percy wasn't having it.

Make no mistake. His eyes didn't harden, his posture didn't change, but his aloof attitude was gone - no, suppressed. It was a bizarre thing to experience on an 8 year old.

"I like the ocean. The ocean has waves. What's your real name?" he asked and Natalie was silently floored by both the balls on the kid and the fact that he had seen through her lie.

"Natasha. How did you know?"

"I pay attention."

There was silence between the two before Natasha broke it.

"In all honesty though, thank you for the help. I would have had a much harder time getting away from those two if you hadn't helped," she told him and he gave another beaming smile at her.

"You're welcome! It was fun! Even in the tank, the sharks were super nice," he said cheerfully, making Natasha confused slightly as he transitioned flawlessly between his serious and aloof personalities as she had dubbed them.

"Why were they after you though?" Percy asked and Natasha frowned. Seeing that, Percy clarified his question.

"I don't want to know what you do. You're clearly trained and you were on the opposing side of them, but I have a request," he said and she raised another eyebrow.

"I want you to train me," he said easily with another big smile. Natasha's world halted. After her brain rebooted, she asked why.

"Bullies always target the new kid. I'm always the new kid. I want to be able to defend myself," he said as if it was the simplest thing in the world. And in a way, it was.

But after being a spy, assassin, informant, etc. for so many years, Natasha could tell there was more to the story. Either way, she pondered her options.

There was more to the kid than what was on the surface. Something in her gut told her to say yes, so she did.

"Let's talk to your mother," was all she said, only to get a reply that broke her facade completely and left her in shock.

"Okay, Auntie Tasha!" the boy chirped.

Present

Those thoughts and memories of the first time she met her nephew were swirling around her head as they set out to capture Percy.

She didn't want to go. Thor had been off world, but she really didn't want to. But it was work. And she knew Percy was smart enough to survey the situation correctly to ensure the secret was kept and he wasn't imprisoned or put in danger.

The others must have picked up on her hesitance, because Clint nudged her shoulder with his.

"You okay? Not going soft of me now, are you?" he teased and she gave a masked eye roll.

"Of course not. I'd just rather be doing anything else than chasing down a troublesome kid," she said in faux petulance. 'Especially my kid.'

They had gotten the intel that he would be at Central Park. She hadn't heard the full details of the Second Giant War, but she knew that he had lost a lot of friends. Too many friends.

He was doing well in coping; at least that was what Sally told her, but she couldn't be sure. She had been busy with work and hadn't had a chance to see him yet. Always work.

Estelle had seemed to be the driving force in pulling him back. It was solely because of her that he found strength to eat and regain his previous mass, train, and enjoy life. The latest of those being the most important.

"I wish Point Break could come," Tony had teased. But I ignored him.

A few minutes later, we arrived.

LINEBREAK

The war had sucked for Percy, but he wouldn't let depression and survivors guilt get him down. Most of the Seven had died. Annabeth had passed.

But he found his new hope; his new anchor in his little sister Estelle. That was all he needed to keep moving.

The 7 months since had been hard, but fruitful work to regain most of how he was before the war. Before the Pit.

He relaxed at Central Park once a week to reflect and acknowledge all that had happened without it ruling him. Luckily, one of his rewards was the help of Hephaestus and Hecate to reinforce and ward off his mother's home, as well as an enchanted pendant that masked his scent entirely.

Not that he didn't want to live a normal life. He just knew he couldn't. What he could do, however, was help demigods he came across in the city and keep his mother, Paul, and little star safe amongst his presence.

It was during one of his reflections that he sensed the 5 bodies converging on his position. Normally, he would have panicked, but he knew one of them was his adoptive Aunt. Auntie Tasha as he still and would likely always call her.

Given that she had 4 others with her, he deduced that it was a work assignment and his past had caught the attention of the more clever mortals.

As such, he made a scene of standing from the bench he was reflecting on, brushed his pants off, and turned around. He feigned surprised and curiosity to the man that reminded him entirely too much of Jason.

"I don't mean to be rude, but aren't you like… Captain America?" he asked and out of the corner of his eye, he saw his aunt suppressing a smirk.

"That's right son. You wouldn't happen to be Perseus Jackson would you?" Cap asked in a business-like, but friendly manner.

Percy made a show of slight apprehension and curiosity as to how they knew him, though it wasn't genuine. He even cringed at the use of his full name.

"Yeah, that's me. Could.. could I help you with something? I mean it's not everyday that the Captain America is looking for you personally. I have so many friends that would want to be me right now," he said, but it was a lie.

His mortal friends were acquaintances at best.

"You can call me Steve, son. And yeah, you could help us. It's about your past," Steve said and Percy audibly groaned.

"Is this about that kidnapping of my friends, mother, and myself from when I was 12?" he asked, knowing full-well it was precisely that.

Steve had the decency to look embarrassed as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah. Our boss just wanted to bring you to the tower to ask you a few questions. I would ask if it was okay with you, but he's not giving us much of a choice here," Steve said to him and he sighed heavily, but nodded.

"Yeah. Yeah, it's cool. I know you're the good guys and just want to cover your bases and all that. I'll go with you, but please, no handcuffs?" Percy said, though the last part was phrased as a question.

Steve gave him a small smile and nodded, putting his shield back onto his back and reached a hand out for Percy to shake.

As they headed back to the tower, Percy heard Iron Man say, "I can't imagine the kid is really that dangerous if he's coming with us this willingly."

Percy internally smirked and sent a discreet wink to his aunt when no one was looking.

LINEBREAK

Percy found himself in a stereotypical interrogation room from every cop show he had seen and almost snorted. He wasn't sure if they left him alone to sweat him out, or if they were waiting for something, but he didn't mind either way.

He simply sat there drumming his fingers on the desk as his ADHD flared up in annoyance and tried his damnedest to wait patiently.

Finally, after 3 hours (at least according to ADHD) Steve and a black skinned pirate with a trenchcoat came into the room. The later frowned when he noticed that he wasn't in handcuffs.

"Why isn't he cuffed?" he demanded and Percy had to try really hard to not roll his eyes.

"He came with us without any trouble at all, Fury. All he asked was that he wasn't cuffed. It was the least we could do for his time," Steve said with a slight narrowing of his eyes at his boss.

Fury merely grunted in response.

"Perseus Jackson," he began and Percy semi-genuinely cringed again.

"Yes sir," he replied quietly.

"You have quite the interesting background. Troubled kid that was kicked out of every school except one, accused of kidnapping your mother, later cleared and it was revealed that she, along with you and two companions were kidnapped yourselves. Blew up the St. Louis Arch and had a gunfight in Santa Monica. You disappeared for some time to resurface across the country and a bunch of other situations. What do you have to say?" Fury half-asked, half-demanded.

"Just what the reports say sir. Apparently, my father was an important person and that made me and my mother a target. The man that kidnapped us… I assumed he was a government agent or something. That's why I-I took matters into my own hands," Percy said, faking the innocent civilian act.

"Government agent? Where did you get that impression?"

Percy faked a blush by manipulating his own blood flow to his cheeks. "H-He had dark glasses and a suit, sir. He flashed a badge too quickly for me to get a look at it and I-I thought it was like TV," Percy finished quietly.

He wasn't certain, but he thought he sensed Tony laughing his ass off in the observation room and a small smirk on his aunt's face.

"You said your father was important. Do you know who he is? Have you met him?" Fury pressed. Internally, he was disappointed that Percy just seemed like a normal kid. A kid with shit luck in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But he'd seen too much in his work to fully believe that.

"No sir, I haven't met him. I've been told that I look like a carbon copy of him and I know that his name, or his… code name? I guess, I don't know if it's his real name, but they referred to him as Poseidon," Percy told him.

"Hmm. Poseidon, like the Greek God of the Seas. Your name is Perseus. Also Greek. Do you think there's a connection?" Fury asked.

"I don't know, sir. My mother named me because she liked the myths and Perseus was the only hero who got a happy ending… so far it doesn't seem like that's working out too well for me," Percy said with a small hesitant smile. Steve gave him one in return, but Fury was less impressed.

"I suppose not," Fury said after a brief silence. The next moment, Fury rose from his chair quickly and slammed his hands on the table to get in Percy's face. Percy was fine, but Natasha chose that moment to charge into the room and put herself between Percy and her boss.

Fury blinked in surprise at the protective nature of one of his best agents for a complete stranger at the same time that Percy groaned audibly. The other Avengers (minus Thor) were in the room soon after.

"Dammit. He was totally trying to bait me, but ended up baiting you, you idiot," Percy said, making Natasha stiffen and whirl on him with a glare. She wasn't really mad at him, but she didn't need his sass either.

"Am I not allowed to be worried about you you little brat!" Natasha growled, making Percy chuckle as he stood up.

"Uhh. What the hell's going on here?" Tony asked, breaking the silence and making Percy's chuckled dissolve.

"You took all that time to train me and you broke first. Now gimme a hug Auntie Tasha. I haven't seen you in ages," Percy said and the redhead settled into an embrace with him, much to the shock of the others in the room.

Steve cleared his throat to interrupt the loving moment and they separated. Percy's hand found the back of his neck as he rubbed it sheepishly.

"Yeah, sorry. I met Auntie Tasha when I was 8 - helped her get away from two guys chasing her at the aquarium by dumping them and my class into the shark tank. She found me a couple weeks later and I asked her to train me. I got expelled a lot and bullies love to pick on the new kid, so I wanted to be able to defend myself," Percy said and got opened mouth shock from Tony and Banner, skepticism from Clint, a slight widening of the eyes from Steve, narrowing of the eyes from Fury, and a fond, albeit very small smile from his aunt.

LINEBREAK

"So you helped a complete stranger that could've been a bad guy for all you knew?" Tony asked as the whole group settled into the interrogation room after the revelation of Auntie Tasha, something that Tony refused to let go of.

Percy laughed easily. "Yeah. I just noticed she was hurt and two guys were chasing her. I mean what was I supposed to think?" he said light heartedly, making Tony chuckle.

"I like you kid. You're welcome at the tower to see Auntie Tasha anytime," Tony had said and got a smack on the back of the head for it, making Percy chuckle.

Before anyone could say any further, Thor burst through the door to see everyone, but as soon as his eyes rested on the young man next to the redhead Widow, he dropped his hammer in shock and blinked a few times.

Without preamble, he rushed forward and grabbed Percy's forearm. "Perseus Jackson! It's such an honor to meet you! I am Thor Odinson, Prince of Asgard and God of Thunder! I'm a very big fan of yours, young warrior!"

Percy immediately gave a strained smile and turned to his aunt. "I thought you said he was off-world," he whispered, though everyone heard.

"I thought he was," Nat whispered back and again everyone heard.

Percy then looked at Fury, who didn't look even remotely happy. "Okay, so I may have left a few minor details out," he said sheepishly.

"Talk," came the pirate man's order, though his glare was severely lacking in Percy's opinion.

Percy sighed heavily and turned to Tony. "Titanium Man, can you ensure absolutely that nothing I say leaves this room tech-wise? I need absolutely no video or audio or anything. I need this room to be a complete black hole, got it?" he asked and Tony bristled.

"It's Iron Man!" he cried indignantly.

"Your suit isn't made of iron. Would you rather I call you, 'Inaccuracy Man'?" Percy challenged with a raised eyebrow.

Tony grumbled, but did as he was told and nodded at Percy. "Auntie, did he really do it and is telling the truth, or is he hoping to analyze this on his back ups?" Percy asked, ignoring Tony.

"He's telling the truth," Banner spoke up before she could answer. Percy turned to him and looked at him with a critical gaze that made the scientist uncomfortable. Finally, he nodded.

"I believe Banner, but I can't take any chances. Thor, can you ward this room?" he asked and Thor nodded eagerly and did just as he was asked.

"It is done, Perseus," he spoke and Percy shot him a grateful smile.

"Alright. I need everyone in this room, except Auntie and Thor to repeat after me, or I won't tell you anything at all and leave," Percy said, making Fury glare.

Percy was unimpressed.

"I swear on the River Styx that I will not share any of the information told to me regarding Perseus Jackson to anyone outside of this room without his permission, nor will I try to use his family to manipulate him," Percy said and waited for them to repeat it.

Banner, Tony, and Cap reiterated the phrase without question and thunder boomed in the background, but the other two were stubborn. Percy, Nat, and Thor all glared at them as well until they too echoed the oath.

Percy's easy smile slipped onto his face again. "Good, now before we go on, I will inform you all that the oath you made will result in your death - or a fate worse than death - if broken," Percy said, but cut them all off before they could protest. "To put you at ease, I, Perseus Jackson, swear on the River Styx that everything I have said and will say in this room is the truth and give Thor Odinson permission to recount my tales to the people in this room," he said and thunder boomed even louder.

Silence reigned before Banner spoke again. "The River Styx is a river from the Greek Underworld," he stated and Percy nodded.

"That's right. Just like the Norse Pantheon is real, the Greek/Roman is as well. Greek/Roman because they are effectively the same; think of it as the same gods with a split personality. Two gods, one body. I will not go into my full titles, you can ask Thor about those later, but I am Perseus Achilles Jackson and I am a Son of Poseidon, God of the Seas, The Earthshaker, The Storm Bringer, and Lord of Horses," Percy told them.

"Lord of Horses?" Tony asked in amusement, making Percy chuckle good naturedly.

"Yes, my father created horses out of seafoam in the myths that aren't quite myths," Percy told him and he nodded.

"Before we continue," Percy said and turned to Fury, "all of the events in my past were results of the mythological world interacting with the mortal. I have not intentionally put the mortals at risk and will continue to do my best to do so. The reason it wasn't revealed is that there is a magical barrier that distorts the truth of myth to most mortal eyes. It makes deadly battles with the Chimera look like a terrorist attack on the St. Louis Arch.

Furthermore, I advise that you don't go looking for the mythological world, because I guarantee that you will not like what you find," Percy finished and glared at Fury.

It was silent for a beat, when Clint of all people spoke again.

"Is that a threat?"

Percy turned to him and smiled.

"It's a promise of pain. It's an ugly and horrendous world that I was brought up in - more so than yours - and I would like to keep our problems internal. If I hear wind of you trying to locate and study demigods, I will return here and raze your tower to the ground with a stomp of my foot. If you flee, I will hunt you down until the world burns. My family, mortal and godly, has been through too much hardship to have to worry about you mortals as well," Percy told him firmly.

"Could you really? I mean stomp and bring the building down?" Tony asked, but Thor answered.

"Aye. Perseus is the Son of Poseidon whose titles you've heard. On top of that, he is the most powerful demigod of the age and also the oldest among them from the tales I have heard," Thor said and Percy looked a little sheepish.

"Actually Thor, I just recently learned that I'm also a Son of Neptune. I guess when my mother met my father, their love was so strong and reciprocated that his two forms coalesced," Percy told him, making Thor look like a gaping fish.

"You're the oldest? You're only 17!" Banner interjected.

"Demigods have a scent that monsters can track, Bruce. My nephew's first monster kill was a snake that slithered into daycare and he strangled it with his own hands. The more powerful you are, the more you're hunted and there are only two safe havens for them. On top of that, they've had two wars in the last 5 years and he led both of them," Natasha answered evenly, slight emotion trickled into her words.

"Wars?" Steve croaked, making Percy look at him and nod grimly.

"I'll spare the details - or what he knows - for Thor, but wars. The first of which was technically a civil war. Gods have rules they must follow and one of those is indirect contact with their children. As such, most demigods grew bitter with our parents' negligence and rebelled in an effort to see the Titans back in power.

It was a 4 year long struggle that resulted in our victory, but the price of life was high. I won't lie to you all and I'm certainly not proud of it, but my comrades and I had to cut down some of our own kind - kids from the ages of 12 and up that just wanted their parents to know they exist. Call me a monster if you will, but from the things I've seen and experienced, there are only monsters in war," Percy said heavily.

The room was silent as they digested his words. Steve was filled with righteous anger, the science bros with surprise, but Fury. Fury was impressed by the young man's maturity and wisdom.

Fury was no fool. He had seen war and what it did to the people fighting and the people caught in the fighting. For a mere boy of 17 years to have to experience two wars and have the outlook and the will power to move forward with his life.

He hated to admit it, but he respected the kid.

"Why are they here?" Fury asked, making Percy turn to him.

"I don't exactly know how it works, but when the Gods first came about, they were the heart of Western Civilization. As the world developed, the 'Flame of the West' moved from country to country. So far, that flame has resided in the states," Percy told him and Fury nodded, his mind whirling with the implications.

"You said they moved… Does that mean history as we know it has been the Gods?" Banner asked and Percy smiled kindly.

"I don't know about all of it, but to give an example, WWII," Percy began ignoring Cap's flinch, "was a grudge match between Hitler, Son of Hades, Stalin, Son of Zeus, and Churchill, Son of Poseidon. At least, those were the main three. There were a few other sons of my father and uncles, but we focused on them.

After hearing about your tale, Cap, I can see that while the mythological world was fighting in the mask of the mortal world, the mortal world was fighting with ties to the mythological that we didn't know. I don't mean to take away from any of the sacrifices of your brothers in arms, but there's a good chance that some of your boys were my cousins," Percy concluded.

"WWII was significant as well," Percy continued, "as the Gods realized the genuine threat that their children possessed. A Prophecy was given and it resulted in The Big Three, Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus making an oath to not sire any children. Clearly since I'm before you now, they broke that promise," Percy told them and they nodded in a shell shocked manner.

Percy clapped as he rose. "Well. I think that's enough out of me. Remember your oath and I'll be on my way. If you ever need a hand in explicitly world ending threats, just give me a ring," Percy told them with a smile, but turned to Clint.

"Can I speak with you Clint?"

The two left the room.

LINEBREAK

"You're upset that she didn't tell you," Percy said without preamble, making Clint stiffen.

"We know more about each other than anyone else. We trust each other… or at least I thought we did," Clint trailed off and Percy turned to look at him.

"She does trust you. Let me paint the scene, okay?" Percy asked, but didn't wait for a response.

"I'm a famous figure in my world, Clint. Monsters and Gods want to kill me at every turn. I was skeptical about even bringing her into this, but as she trained me I learned to trust her. I knew what I was even if I didn't let my mom know that I knew. I went to Nat. She took it in stride after I showed her my powers, but we always kept it secret," Percy told him, making his confusion rise.

"All demigods have a fatal flaw. A character trait that was designed to be their end if they couldn't conquer it. Mine is Personal Loyalty. If any one of my loved ones were to be hurt, the world would burn. Naturally, my enemies started to target me through my loved ones. Nat stayed out of it, thank the gods, and I got by.

I'm telling you all this, because it's the same reason she didn't tell you. She didn't bring you into my world both to keep me safe from exploitation, and to keep you safe from the horrors of it. She didn't give me many details about you, so imagine she brought you into this and you had a family," Percy told him and saw his eyes flash in a protective nature.

"You do," Percy murmured, making Clint take a threatening step forward, but before he could do anything, Percy was behind him with his arms positioned for a chokehold. The light pressure on his trachea shocking Clint back into focus.

"She didn't tell me anything. I said that as an example and saw the same protectiveness I have for my sister in your eyes. She wanted to keep you and them safe. Don't be too hard on her," Percy said and then he was gone.

Clint whipped around, but all he saw was the last dredges of mist.
