Teach Me Too Love You
Chapter 21
A/N: Forgive me for the long wait.
Happy Reading!
Liv is still in Fitz arms twenty minutes later. No words have been spoken. He just holds her as she cries. Relief and fear radiate throughout her mind. Relief that he's back safely. Fear of what's to come if she continues this life with Fitz. How to have this conversation with him scares her to no end. Her stress level is above 10 right now and she doesn't even know it. The feel and presence of Fitz has kept her calm reason being she hasn't fainted, but the stress is still there none the less.
After about 30 minutes Liv crying turns into sniffles. "You want to talk now?" He questions using a soft deep tone
Liv wipes her face with her hand as she sits up and removes herself from Fitz lap. She stands pulling him from the bed as she shakes her head no.
She drops her head as she inhales and releases. "Liv?" Fitz softly calls out as he watches her. She steps closer to him and drops her head onto his chest still not saying a word. He allows it before wrapping his arms around her "What do you need?" He adds to his concern
She finally raises her head and looks up at him "Just tonight." Which equated to no talking right now. She just needed him. That's what she got. Fitz leans down and kisses her. Softy at first but it quickly became aggressive and passionate. Clothes begins to fly as he lifts her from the floor and carries her to a long designer table against the wall. She goes for the buttons on his shirt as he sits her on the table and unbuttons his pants before removing her sweater. She tugs his shirt from his shoulders as he removes it completely. His defined chest and stomach muscles tightens at her touch. He pushes down his pants and briefs releasing his strong hardened cock as it bounces freely in the air. Liv quickly stands and drops to her knees taking him into her mouth without a second thought.
Fitz moans out throwing his head back, but quickly lifts her up and tosses her onto the bed. This was not about his needs but hers. He then removes her silk pajama pants and underwear and bra pulling her to the edge of the bed right into the path of his mouth. Liv arches at the feel of his tongue on her heated flower. The taste of her sent shock wave through his body. He prematurely ejaculated but he didn't care.
He pushes her leg further apart as he continues to assault her in the way he knows she loves. Liv moans out gripping strongly to the thickness of his head of hair. Fitz doesn't care about that either. He has never really made slow passionate love to Olivia but today seems like the day he needed to. So that's what he does.
He takes slow deliberate licks around inside and over her garden as he slides in two fingers and begins stroking her slowly at first, meticulously picking up the pace. Wetness pools from Liv without much effort. Liv moans out his name as he moans out hers. The slow pace is driving Liv crazy and she wants more. Fitz would love to fuck her senseless, but he senses she needed something different. She needed to feel his love. She needed to know that there was more to him then his ability to fuck her brains out and make her loose her mind at his overwhelming ability to consume her. She needed to see there was another side to him when it came to her.
Liv continues to push for more, faster, harder…but she asked Fitz for 'Tonight" and he would give it to her. Slow passionate deep strokes with verbal expressions of love, safety, and security. Something told him that whenever they did talk things my not go his way. He needed to secure his place in her life and in her heart…forever. It was as if he could read her body language and it told him he would not like what she had to say but she needed him to know she loved him. For some reason this felt like the last time.
He made love to Olivia in a way she had never experienced. He took his time. He deep stroked her while professing his love for her. He made her cum without notice over and over again. He introduced her to anal and she loved it. He kept her body close to his with every new position careful of his child growing inside of her. She responded in kind by calling out his name and professing her love while requesting him to not stop…never stop. He introduced his penis to her cervix in a totally different way. Slow and passionately. Putting pressure from his large, mushroomed shape head against it making her squirt each time. She yelped in a high-pitched tone each time he did this. Telling him no each time he asked if she wanted him to stop. The screams of passion slipped from her lips over and over as she received all of him from the only man she's ever truly loved.
He kissed and sucked on every part of her body. He stroked and made love to not just her but her mind body and soul. A part of him was reacting to her need for love over everything and everyone. He made love to her sitting down, standing up, laying down, backwards and forwards, inside and out. She was left boneless, speechless, motionless, and exhausted. After her 5th orgasm she was out and down for the count. He and Liv's body were drenched and so was the bed sheets. Liv was so gone she didn't wake nor feel him lift her and place her on the sofa in their room so he could change the sheets before placing her back into the bed. He covers her and kisses her forehead and leaves her to rest.
After showering he goes downstairs to have a moment with the family.
He takes the stairs slowly as he walks down. It is about 7pm now and the parents are sitting and enjoying something on television when Fitz walks in. Anna is the first to notice him "Son, how is she?" Fitz smiles at the fact that his moms first concern is Olivia. "She's sleeping." He answers "I just want you all to know. The threat is over. I'm out of the mob. I'm here for Livvie and whenever you all are ready to return home my pilot will fly you out."
That's the moment Eli decides to speak "Son, you have my respect, but let's not forget you are the cause of all of this. I will need to speak with my daughter before we leave. I owe you my life for returning our daughter back to us, but let's not forget…had it not been for you shall I say…" He pauses clearing his throat. "You know what I'm saying."
Continuing his approach into the room "Yes Mr. Pope I understand all of that. You both must know and understand I have been in love with your daughter before ever even meeting her, and I will do whatever is necessary to protect her, even give up my life. I have a past yes. Had it not been for Olivia I would still be living the life of a mob boss. I've changed…for her I've changed. I'm changing. I only want what's best for her."
"Son, we're not judging you. We know you love our daughter, and she loves you. You promised to bring her back to us safely and you did that all while putting your life on the line. That says a lot about you as a man." Candace shares
Anna just gives Fitz a reassuring smile as she walks up to him and hugs him. "I love you son, no matter what. My love for you will never stop." She pulls back "Are you hungry? Candace made an amazing casserole."
Fitz smiles "Yes I could use some nourishment I haven't eaten in the last 24 hours."
Anna heads for the kitchen as Fitz steps outside to speak with Tom. "Hey Tom."
Tom turns to Fitz voice "Hey boss."
"Have you check in on Diego?"
"Yes sir. He's awake and talking. I spoke with him and caught him up on things. He wanted to leave the hospital, but I told him your orders was for him to stay and get better sir."
"That's good. Give me the number so I can call him and speak with him myself." Tom nods as he recites the number from memory. Fitz locks the number in his own memory before telling Tom that they were safe and that the threat was over offering security to come in and find a room and gets some rest. He already knew the moms fed them. He did and the men all came inside picking 4 of the 6 bedrooms on the lower lever that wasn't being used, one of the two bedrooms on the upper level were already being used by Liv.
Once everyone is settled inside the home Fitz returns to check on Liv and find her still asleep. She needed to eat something. He debated whether or not to wake her. She was sleeping so deeply he just removed his clothing and snuggled in behind her pulling her to him and joined her in getting some much-needed rest.
The following morning Liv awakes to Fitz watching her. "Hi."
She smiles at him "Hi." She answers squinting at the natural light from the sun radiating throughout the large bedroom. "Mmm I smell breakfast."
"Yeah, the moms are throwing down it seems. We should join them before they head out, then you and I can talk." He waits for her reaction but she says nothing "How about a shower?" he adds
"I wish we could stay right here in bed. I missed you."
"We have a lifetime love. The threat has been taken care of. You don't have to worry anymore Livvie." He explains while gently running his finger alone the strains of hair taking up residence on her face.
She lowers her head because she wants to believe that it's over…the danger, but Fitz was a man born into this life, even he couldn't possibly know how many enemies he has…could he? She was not looking forward to finding out.
They showered but skip the love making due to Liv soreness and slight cramping. The cramping part she didn't share with Fitz. They make their way downstairs and find all the security sitting around enjoying breakfast with the parents. "Good morning everyone." Liv greets as walking up to the center counter in the kitchen area. "Good morning ma'am-sir" Security responds
"Good morning dear, Fitz."
"Sweet pea, good morning, Fitzgerald."
"Good morning you two." Anna adds, Fitz smiles and nods his good morning over returning the greeting individually.
The mothers immediately prepare plates of food for their individual children and they all sit down to eat. "So sweet pea, what do you think about all that's happened? Where do you and Fitz go from here?" Eli starts the conversation
Liv momentarily pauses looking at Fitz "Fitz and I are figuring that out. We'll discuss it more when we have time alone."
Eli nods with celebration. A part of him feels that Olivia will see the danger being with Fitz poses on her and her unborn child's life.
Fitz entire demeanor changes at her statement. What the hell does that mean? Fitz questions in his mind but doesn't vocalize it.
"Dad Fitz and I will need time to discuss everything. I know you and mom are concerned about my wellbeing, but Fitz kept his word. I'm here. He brought me back safely. You all are safe so for now let's just enjoy that…okay?" Liv requests sensing her father's uneasy energy
Eli and everyone in the room got her subliminal message and dropped the subject, but the words for now sticks in Fitz head. What the hell does that mean? He again thinks to himself
Fitz has always been a patient man, some may disagree, but it's true. That's why he was feared and loved by many. It was also why he always succeeded and got what he wanted. When it came to his Livvie patients was definitely needed to deal with this shit.
Fitz decides to spend time with his mom alone, so they take a walk on the grounds of the property. Anna stops and takes her sons hands into hers.
"Fitz, son, I want you to know I understand what your feelings of uncertainty feels like. Remember I went through it with your father. You can change your outcome if you choose Olivia. Just know choosing her means giving up a part of yourself. What you are used to. Whatever you do don't force her to choose between what she's used too and you. You will lose that battle I'm sure of. She's with child her priorities if they haven't will change. Her and that baby will move to the forefront of her concerns and you will come after. That doesn't mean she doesn't love you son, it just means her priorities have changed and you played a big part in that. It takes two to bring forth new life. Given the short amount of time you two have been together this pregnancy wasn't planned, meaning neither was your future as a couple."
Fitz takes a seat on a bench in their path. "Her parents hate me."
"No son, they don't hate you. They fear for their daughter. I know that feeling. I lived it every day with your father. It seems as if Olivia is willing to talk with you alone before making any decisions about anything and that a good thing. Candace is all about her daughter's happiness. Eli well he's a father of a female, and he's protective and sometimes blinded by that fact. I believe if Olivia had been a son, he would react different. She's his daughter son, and that makes for a more stubborn alpha male when it comes to his own. You'll understand one day. Being the father of a daughter is way more different than being the father of a son. You have a good heart Fitz, continue to let it guide you."
Fitz looks at his mother with great appreciation. It feels as if they were never apart. He feels connected to his mother and for that he is grateful. She's the closest family he has right now outside of Olivia Tom and Diego. "I love you mom and thank you."
"I love you too son. Just live in your truth. Let the real Fitzgerald Thomas Grant III shine through. Let go of the tough guy act. Let your loving side show. Let me show through you. You've lived your life being just like your father, now let the true you shine. If not for you, then for Olivia. You are capable of showing love son. Show her who you are, and she will respond in love instead of fear."
"Thanks mom. I love you."
"I love you too, son." She expresses with a loving touch to his cheek.
Meanwhile back in the home an argument has ensued after Liv's dad kept pushing his unwanted advice, "No dad, I know how to handle my own life. This is between Fitz and I. It's over. The threat is gone. I'm safe, you're safe, Fitz is safe. That's all that matters. Your constant opinion is not needed. You are stressing me the fuck out right now! Please just stop!" She yells
To hear her used curse words at him causes him pause. He knows she's angry and frustrated. He decides to back off. "I'm sorry sweet pea. That was not my intent." The last thing he wanted was to stress his daughter out. He learned long ago when to back off.
Liv sits down due to the intense cramps and pounding headache she's feeling. The perspiration housed on her nose is a tell (tell) sign she needs to calm down. "I'm fine. You guys can go home now. I need time alone to speak with my fiancé."
The fact she used the word fiancé indicated to her father that she was trying to convince herself of her own words. So Eli pushed forward. "Livvie all we're saying…(adding we instead of I) is think this over carefully sweet pea. You have a child to think about now. Your health is what's most important to assure the pregnancy makes it to term. You have fainted several times since meeting Fitzgerald. Why is that? Your stress levels are putting you and your unborn child's life in danger. Someone tried to kill you Livvie! You were kidnapped! What more will it take for you to see that being with this man is dangerous? Why would you put your unborn child's life at risk like this? If that man really loves you like he says he does, he would understand that being with him at this time is too dangerous, for you and his child."
Jumping to her feet, Liv head snaps in her father's direction. "Don't you think I know this, dad. It's all I think about, but it a choice that Fitz and I need to make together. You don't get to guilt trip me into doing things your way. I understand you love me and wants what's best for me…you both do, but this is my decision, and I will not make that decision without first having a heart to heart with the man I love." She hits below the belt with her father putting him in his place "I'm going to go and lay down. I can't do this with you right now. I'm good dad. You guys can go home. Fitz and I need time alone. I love you both, always will." She kisses her mom and dad on the cheek before heading back upstairs.
Candace looks at Eli with a raised brow. "You just had to go there, now she has shut down and shut us out. When will you learn Elijah?" She turns and heads to their shared bedroom to pack up their things leaving a conflicted Eli standing in the center of the living-room.
Fitz and Anna return and see that the Popes have their bags packed prompting Anna to do the same. This gives the Pope's a chance to speak with Fitz alone before their departure. "Mr. and Mrs. Pope, I know that your worried and concerned about Liv, just know I promise to take good care of her and keep her safe. You have my word." Fitz sincerely expresses
"Thank you, Fitzgerald, we are going to hold you to that. I'll give Livvie a call when we land." Candace states walking up to him giving him a hug while Eli just grunts before stating "That's the least you could do seeing you're the reason she's in this ungodly predicament."
Fitz remains quiet, placing his hands inside of his pants pockets as his sees him mother return with her luggage. She walks up to Fitz. "Keep me posted?" She questions while placing a loving hand on his cheek. "Always." He answers with his crooked smile. "I took a moment to say goodbye to Olivia. She's such a beautiful kind woman. Take good care of her son. Let us know how she's doing as the pregnancy progresses." "I will mom." With that the parents leave. The Pope's in the helicopter and Mrs. Grant in a chauffeured vehicle waiting to take her to the airport.
Moments after their departure Fitz heads upstairs and into the master bedroom. He spots Olivia standing at the window. She knows he's there but doesn't turn around right away. "So, they're gone?"
Stepping further into the room "Yes love, they're gone. Do you want to talk now?"
Liv inhales deeply before releasing and turns to face Fitz. "I'm scared, Fitz, actually I'm terrified."
Fitz sits on the bed still facing her "You don't have to be Livvie, I promise you, it's over."
She begins to approach him and sits next to him "How can you be so sure Fitz? There's no way for sure you know how many enemies you may have accrued over the years. How do you know for sure it's over and we are safe? Someone could be plotting right now to…." He cuts her off
"Livvie, Livvie, Livvie. Listen to me. I'm sure. You have nothing to be worried about. I give you my word."
She stands holding herself for comfort "Fitz. I want this…I want you…I want us and wanting all of that has stressed me out tremendously. I fainted more since meeting you than my entire life and that can't be healthy for me or the baby. I know nothing that has happened was intentional on your part, well accept you kidnapping me, but…" She begins pacing
The change in his demeanor doesn't go unnoticed "I…I don't know." She pauses biting her bottom lip
"You do know. Just say it Liv.?" He states glaring at her
"All of this Fitz, everything that has happened is taking a toll on me, on the pregnancy. I have to think about myself and our child." She then corrects herself "We…babe have to think about our child. All this stress can't be good for my pregnancy. I just need time, away from you." The away from you part comes out in a whisper but heard her clearly. "All I can think about is being kidnapped, waking up to strange men surrounding me, talking about killing you. What if they come back? What if they decide to take the only thing you love away from you permanently…me, while carrying your child. You couldn't live with yourself, and I would hunt you even in your grave and never forgive you."
Softening his stance returning to sitting on the edge of the bed. His heart rate increases. If the fear he feels with the thought of losing her was any indication to what Olivia was feeling, he was left with no choice but to understand. It didn't mean he agreed but he did understand. She continues "This constant state of living in fear can't be healthy for me or the baby. I know we agreed that we're in this together…and we are but we also need to be realistic babe. Maybe it's best that we live separate and stay low key until the babies born." This causes Fitz to rub his neck and return to standing, walking to the large picture window Liv was standing at earlier.
"Liv you don't understand, I wait for you, I watch for you, my whole life is you. I feel like I can't breathe without you, you own me you control me, my every thought is you, and our unborn child. I brought you into this life and I promise you I will protect you. I am not lying to you when I make promises to you. It's because of you I want to be a better man, I am a better man. You don't think that I want to be an even better husband to you, father to our child? That I would ask you to marry me under false pretense without thinking things through? Why would I ask you to teach me to love you, because I love you, I'm in love with you, you are the love of my life. My every feeling is controlled by the look on your face. I can't live without you. I can't sleep without you. I exist for you. I'm trying to escape all of this and run away with you, be with you, protect you, build a life with you. I think about our child too. I'm humbled by you…Livvie."
Tears are now pooling Olivia's eyes. The passion in Fitz voice makes her rethink things but the flashes of being shot at and kidnapped plagues her memory. Fitz walks up to her pulling her into a standing position against his chest wrapping his arms around her causing her tears to release. "Fitz I…I can't…I can't stay." He releases her from the hug and steps away trying to control his emotions, his anger, his disappointment.
He's waited all this time to finally have her not really thinking about how she would be affected by his lifestyle. The thought of causing harm to his child because he selfishly wanted her to himself weighed heavy on his heart and mind. There was still that chance that someone may still want revenge, that came with the lifestyle, but word was out that he was family and therefore protected. No matter how he tried to explain it to Liv she felt how she felt. It never took him long to figure things out and make choses in his life, but this was by far the hardest choice he would ever make. He knew he couldn't do things halfway. If helping Liv get over her fears and guaranteeing his child is born healthy and without complications, he only had one choice. Give her what she wants.
Making direct eye contact he states "Okay." She frowns with uncertainty of what that means "Okay, what?" She softy echoed
Running his hand through his thick curls "I get it Liv. I can't do things halfway. You're right, the best way to protect you is from a distance. Exclude you from my personal space, I don't want to be the reason you lose our child or live in constant fear, so I'm letting you go."
"W…what?" Shock written in her face. Letting her go? What did he mean by letting her go? That's not what she said. Why did his words sound so final, so distant, so heart-breaking? She watches him turn to leave and reaches for him. "Fitz…wait what?" He turns to her as her small hand grips his arm "I'm letting you go. I'll be in touch once the babies born."
"Nooo…mmm!" She whined followed by a moan as pain hits her hard in her pelvic area. Fitz sees this and immediately becomes concerned
"Livvie what's wrong? Is it the baby?"
She decides to be honest in that moment "Yes, I've been having cramping pains since yesterday." She slurs out before fainting from the panic she was experiencing.
Fear takes over Fitz's emotions as Liv collapses in his arms. He lifts her cradling her against his chest. "I got you sweet baby, we're going to the hospital. Tom!" He yells
Tom appears at the bottom of the stairs "Sir?"
"We got to get to a hospital NOW!" Both men head out. Tom opens the back door to the BMW truck Fitz drove in with. Fitz place himself and Liv in the back as Tom jumps in the driver seat and they head to the hospital. Fitz continues talking to Olivia even though she's unconscious. He had become used to her fainting but now she was pregnant and this time around his was really scared. "Fuck, why did I say that stupid shit to you? Baby I'm sorry. I'm not leaving you love. We will figure this out, just please be alright." He checked for her breathing and is comforted that she is. Fitz has never been so conflicted and confused in his entire life. Was he not listening? Isn't leaving her what she wanted? This was it for him. This was the last straw. He tried doing things her way, now he would do things his way.
He was not going anywhere and neither was she. Vermont was their home and a safe haven. He needed to treat their relationship like he did his business with certain things done his way. Liv was saying one thing, but her actions showed him something different and he would use that as his guide on how to proceed. She didn't want him to go but was afraid of being with him at the same time. All was left to do was prove to her, that she was safe with him and that's exactly what he planned to do. Something told him that her father's words had gotten to her and it was him speaking instead of her, reason being she panicked when he agreed with her.
…
One hour after arriving at the hospital Liv is awake and talking. "Fitz, I don't want you to go."
Standing at her side where he planted himself from the time they arrived. He kisses her hand. "Livvie baby I'm here and I'm not going anywhere."
"Is the baby okay?" Before Fitz could answer there's a knock at the door followed by the emergency doctor. "Ah, hello Ms. Pope. Glad to see you awake. Mr. Grant." He gestures to Fitz with a handshake.
"Hello. I understand I fainted again, is my baby okay?" Liv interjected
"Yes Ms. Pope the ultrasound showed that's all fine. You on the other hand I'm not so sure. According to your medical file I received from LA Medical, thanks to your fiancé here. You been fainting quit a bit in the last month. So I ran some blood test and performed a echocardiogram on you to check on that heart of yours."
Squeezing Fitz hand to calm herself she listens intently "Okay."
"It appears you're just over exhorting yourself. Your heart is working extra hard causing your blood pressure to rise and fall at a rapid pace. Pushing more blood and oxygen to your brain than it's prepared to handle. Your brain is responding to this by sending signals to your body to adjust your blood pressure, quickly shutting down the amount of blood and oxygen flow to the brain in return drops your blood pressure, causing you these fainting spells or experience what we doctor's call Syncope. You really need to relax more and get much, much needed rest. It's not my business Ms. Pope to pry into your life but I suggest that whatever it is that's causing you to panic or become extremely stressed you do something about it, and soon."
"What about the cramping?"
"Your stress becomes babies stress. No stress no pain. You're a very petite woman Ms. Pope. It could also be the due to the fact that your having twins. You keep saying baby as in singular. I take it you didn't know you were having twins?"
Liv and Fitz both have wide eyed just stares at the doctor speechless. The doctor smiles "I'll take that as a yes."
Fitz finally finds his voice "And they're both fine, right?"
"That is correct. I want to keep it them that way, so since you informed me Mr. Grant that you two just move Vermont here's a list of OBGYN's in your area. You're welcome to research them and choose which one you may like. Do it soon, because I want you Ms. Pope to follow-up with he or she in two weeks. I also recommend you find a Cardiologist as well. I like to see someone keeping an eye on your enlarged heart as during your pregnancy. It shouldn't be a problem while pregnant, but with your fainting spells what could it hurt. I've included them on that list as well.
"Can we see. We'd like to see the babies."
"No problem I will send the technician back in to repeat the ultrasound then you're free to go home."
"Thank you, doctor…?"
"Oh my apologies, I'm doctor Shepherd, Derek Shepherd."
"Thank you, Dr. Shepherd, my fiancé and I appreciate your frankness with us." Fitz expresses with a double handed handshake
"Yes, Dr. Shepherd thank you so much." Liv joyfully adds
Fitz heart is filled with joy seeing the two heartbeat on the screen. Liv is in awe. If you had told her this would be her life a year ago, she would have laughed in your face. After seeing their two little ones on screen and each receiving a picture of their two little bean's they headed home with a new found love. Liv now understood that she needed Fitz and he needed her, that they needed each other. As they were driven home they apologies to one another and professed their love, and recommitted themselves too each other. Understanding what it truly meant to be in this together.
Together they would overcome their fears. Together they would always communicate their feelings. Together they would always stand as a unit and together they would soon share the news with their parents. Not just about the fact they were having twins, but the fact that they were staying together and embarking on their future and planning their wedding sooner than later. Liv could only imagine what that conversation would look like when speaking with her father, but she was up for the challenge even if it meant putting him in his place.
Until next time…..Keke
