Takes place during "Amy over the pond", the story of how Amy moved from King's College London to Cambridge University.

Monday 19th December 2016
Amy had a cup of tea with her friend Jane at King's College.
"Hello Jane, last week at work before the holidays, are you all set for your trip home to Texas?"
"Yes, Sam and I are flying out on Thursday for 10 days back home, we can't wait. How was your weekend?"
"Saturday was really good, it was my birthday and one of my old friends in California gave birth to a baby girl that day, quite a birthday present. I spoke to some of my California friends yesterday afternoon and then Dave and I went out to a concert. We met Dave's ex-wife on the Tube, it was a rather odd conversation. She left Dave to go off with a French chef but her marriage broke up and she is back in London."
"Well Dave is married to you now."
"Yes he is..."

Friday 23rd December 2016
Amy came home from work "Hi Dave, holidays at last! No more science for a week. We got some mail, it looks like an Xmas card addressed to Mr and Mrs Gibbs."
Amy opened the card "'To Dave and Amy, seasons greetings, love from Frances.' Is this your ex-wife Dave? Why would she send us a card?"

Tuesday 3rd January 2017
Dave was still in bed when Amy kissed him goodbye
"Back to work today, it is all right for you school teachers with your long holidays."
"That is right my dear, I am not back until next Monday, lucky me."
"Do you have any plans for today?"
"Not sure, I might go out in the afternoon but I might stay in bed all day."
"OK Dave, see you tonight."

Friday 6th January 2017
"Hello Jane, welcome back, how was Texas?"
"Howdy Amy, how y'all doing today. It was good to be home, now back to reality. Did you not think of going back to California?"
"I live here now, I might go back to visit in a few years."
"How was Xmas?"
"You know we live with Dave's brother Alfie and his wife Judith, they have two daughters called Rebecca and Sara, it was great fun spending Xmas with children."
"How is Dave?"
"You know as a school teacher he isn't back to work until next week, he has been on holiday all this week. He has not been home when I have got back from work every night this week, he has been somewhat evasive about what he has been doing? All rather strange and not like my Dave?"
"Very strange. By the way we have another meeting in Cambridge in three weeks, can you make it?"
