Takes place during "Amy over the pond", the story of how Amy moved from King's College London to Cambridge University.

Amy kissed Dave goodbye as they both prepared to leave for work.

"Don't forget I will be late home tonight, I am off to Cambridge for a meeting."

"I won't forget, have a good time in Cambridge."

Later that evening Amy and her friend Jane are on the train back to London. As the train approached King's Cross station Amy said "well that was a really good meeting, I enjoyed my time in Cambridge. As much as I love it here in the big city it is nice to get away for a while."

Jane replied "yes, we will have a lot to discuss in the group meeting on Monday morning. Looks like we are coming to a stop, King's Cross at last. Have a good weekend Amy.

Amy walked towards the Tube station where she saw her husband Dave kissing another woman!

"What do you think you are doing Dave?"

Amy did not have a good weekend, full of arguments, fights and recriminations. He had been back seeing his ex-wife behind Amy's back since the start of the year. Amy spent the weekend sleeping on the sofa, on Sunday evening Dave stormed out of the house and didn't appear again that night. Amy spent the rest of the night crying herself to sleep.

Amy returned to work and put a brave face on things. Things were rather tense back at home, Dave's brother and sister-in-law had always liked Dave's ex-wife Frances and they weren't that sympathetic. At lunchtime on Wednesday she went shopping and bought a sleeping bag and a change of clothes and spent the night sleeping in her office.

By February the marriage had almost totally broken down. Amy spent most of the time sleeping in her office. When Amy did return home she was communicating with her husband through her siblings-in-law. London was not such a wonderful place for Amy any more.
