Takes place during "Amy over the pond", the story of how Amy moved from King's College London to Cambridge University.

Jane knocked on the door of Amy's office at 9.00am
"Hello Amy, are you in there. We have got to get ready for our Cambridge meeting, they should be here in an hour and a half."
All was silent for a minute, then just as Jane was about the leave Amy's office door opened.
"Amy, what happened, why are you in your night clothes?"
Amy burst into tears, "Oh Jane, it's all gone wrong with Dave, I have been sleeping in my office for weeks."
Jane gave Amy a hug "don't worry Amy, I am here to help, why don't you tell me all about it?"
Over the next 30 minutes Amy told her tale of woe about her disintegrating marriage and why she was sleeping in her office. When she had finished Jane said
"Oh Amy, that is terrible but you can't sleep here indefinitely, don't worry I will think of something. You go get yourself cleaned up, our friends from Cambridge will be here soon."
Amy made it through the meeting, having her friends from Cambridge visiting helped her put on a brave face for the rest of the day. At the end of the meeting Jane said to Amy "OK, I have spoken to Sam, you are coming home with me tonight. I will introduce you to our next door neighbour Samira, she is a divorce lawyer."

Amy returned to Dave's family home.
"Hello Alfie, if Dave is here tell him to make himself scarce."
"Don't worry Amy, he hasn't come home yet from his date last night with Frances."
"These are my friends Jane and Sam, they have come to help me move my stuff out of here. Is that a problem?"
"No problem, I can give you a hand with moving things."
Forty-five minutes later everything belonging to Amy was in the back on Jane and Sam's car.
"Goodbye Alfie, tell your brother to expect to be contacted by my lawyer next week."
As they drove away Amy said to Jane and Sam "thanks for that, I couldn't have done this without you."
"No problem, that's what friends are for."
