Vio: Here's a story that's been on my mind for quite a while now, so here's to hoping it turns out great! Gotta remain positive!

A/N: I do NOT own the Ginga Series or the characters! If I did Weed would've been a female and Bellatrix would be a warrior and not a pet. I am the saltiest person about that! :3

!WARNING! There will be blood and gore along with foul language!

Prologue

. . . . . .

"We can reason with him! He deserves a chance just like anyone else!"

Sirius.

"REASON?! Are you fucking stupid or what, Sirius! He's a damn bear!"

Orion.

"Why won't you look at it from my view, Orion? He's frightened of us!"

Big brothers…please stop fighting…..

"Frightened?! He killed Uncle Hiro and what about Aunt Lydia and the four of her kids –OUR FRIENDS!– that were carelessly slaughtered by that bastard!"

Everything hurts! Please stop! Orion! Sirius!

"…."

It hurts….it hurts…

"Nothing to say, huh? You know I'm right, Monsoon has killed our comrades without any remorse. He's a monster, Sirius, and I refuse to stand by and watch him destroy what our great grandfather, our grandfather, and our father protected. Either you stand aside or I'll make you."

It hurts…it hurts…IT HURTS! IT HURTS! ITHURTSITHURTSITHURTS!

"Hey, Bella? Everything's going to be alright so don't cry, ok?"

Ri…gel?

"Geez! You're such a crybaby, Bella, toughen up!"

..Orion? Where are you guys? It hurts!

"Don't be afraid to cry, little sister, it doesn't mean you're weak. It shows that you care so don't ever be scared to shed tears."

.Sirius! Please! Help me! It's cold and it hurts and I wanna go home!

"You'll be a powerful warrior one day, Bellatrix. I'm so very proud of you."

*sobs* Papa…

"Remember your kindness always for if you ever lose it, you'll have lost yourself, my little warrior."

Mama….

"Always stand strong for yourself and others – that's what it means to be a leader."

"Could I become a leader of a pack one day, grandpa?"

"If you choose to, Bellatrix. You and your brothers have your great grandfather's blood running through your veins. If you ever do embrace leadership, remember these words, child: In light there hides darkness just as in darkness there is light."

"You mean like balance?"

"Correct. If there is no balance, then you will fall, and the earth can be quite unforgiving."

Crack

. . . . . . . .

"…grandpa?"

The endearment slipped from her tongue before she could stop it. Opening her eyes, she could see nothing but falling rain and a dark, thundering sky. Flashes of lightning would appear every so often, making her jump and send her mind careening into the depths of her clouded past where her monsters hid, waiting for her return.

She shivered and curled tighter into a ball. The cave where she'd accidentally stumbled across in her unstable and abstruse state of mind had become her safe haven. At least for now it would have to do until she gathered her bearings.

The pup winced as her stomach grumbled loudly and painfully. She hadn't left the cave after she had limped inside and collapsed upon the icy floor. It surprised her that she wasn't dead already from the lack of food and dehydration.

She whimpered when another sharp pain hit her. If she didn't find some sort of nourishment soon, she would die.

B-O-O-M!

A startled shriek was ripped from her throat and left her wheezing. Tears fell from her eyes, and she began to sob while trying to breathe in between the lasting coughing fits.

"Here."

Her head jerked up, and she floundered about, claws scraping the floor, trying to get space between her and this stranger. Her efforts were in vein as she crashed back onto the cavern floor, gasping and whining in pain.

The stranger before her was hidden in the shadows, their piercing amber eyes watching her struggle to get away. Once she grew exhausted and just laid there awaiting her fate, they finally moved closer, nosing something towards her.

"Eat."

In such a debilitate state, she could not afford to deny this stranger, not when they're five times her size. She stares at them for a few seconds before reaching over to chew on whatever they brought her.

It was a rabbit – a nice juicy, plump rabbit.

The pup didn't care if they thought she was disgusting, gorging herself on the fat rabbit. All she could focus on was how delicious and filling the meal was. When she was done, there was nothing but pristine bones and a pile of rabbit fur left behind. She had given the carcass a thorough cleaning.

As she licked her bloody chops and paws, her eyes found themselves locked on the mysterious stranger once more. "Thank you."

They smiled back, "You're welcome pup, but you'll need more prey soon….and water too."

"Who-who are you?" She croaked out, thankful the blood of her meal had quenched her dry throat.

"Ah, how rude of me not to introduce myself. My name is Fuga. What about you, little one? What is your name?"

That name sounded a bit familiar to her, but she couldn't remember where she'd heard it from.

"Bellatrix." She huffed out tiredly. "My name is Bellatrix. Thank you for your help, Mr. Fuga."

Fuga watched her lay her head down and close her eyes. It didn't take long for her breaths to even out to let him know she was unconscious. Then, she began to shiver violently from the icy wind blowing inside. Feeling pity for the tiny pup, he quietly moved closer so he could position himself around her small form.

The winds were harsh up in these mountains, and he had no idea how she could've survived as long as she did. He was only up here to escape Reima after Noroi outed him as the so-called traitor of the pack. The last he saw as he ran from his own pack members was his sweet Mio with tears falling from her face, and Noroi smirking, cradling his son between his paws.

He bared his fangs unconsciously, wanting nothing more than to tear into the bastard who has caused him so much grief.

He's broken out of his thoughts when he feels the female pup nuzzle into his side, her shivering coming to a stop. His eyes soften and watching her makes him think of his own pup. His throat tightens with sadness and unshed tears finally overspill. He looks out into the rain, wondering if it'll ever stop.

'Retsuga, my son…live a long, happy life for I may never see you again.'

. . . . . . . .

Whoowee! Welp I hope you guys like the prologue and for those who are not sure who Fuga is – read the wolf arc in the manga. For those of you who are too lazy to do so-

W-A-R-N-I-N-G! S-P-O-I-L-E-R-S!

-Fuga is the one who taught Riki the Zetsu Tenro Battoga. I know a lot of people don't like the wolf arc, but if it wasn't for Fuga, then how would Riki and Gin killed Akakabuto?

Anyways, much love to you guys! :*
