-Chapter 14-

-Quinn pov-

"May I just say something?" I look over at Santana who looks annoyed "I hate school"

"What happened?" She goes to speak but she takes off "Santana?!"

I turn and see what she sees. I take off and push my way in between the skanks and Brittany with Rachel. I look at the skanks and Sheila smirks at me.

"How you doin Quinnie pie?" I see the girls look at me confused "Oh they don't know?"

"What haven't you told us Quinn?" I look between the skanks and the girls "I'm not afraid to kick your ass Quinn"

"During the summer I hung out with them" Santana fixes me with a raised eyebrow "I...I just wanted to put it behind me"

"So you decided to hide stuff from me?" I sigh and Santana scoffs at me "I'm going to class with my girlfriend"

"San do~"

"Not right now" Santana looks at Sheila with a glare "And if you ever try anything on Rachel or Brittany I'm gonna beat you down"

Santana grabs Rachel's hand and leaves along with Brittany. I look back at the skanks and point to the closest restroom. They nod and we all walk in then lock the door. I turn and look at them.

"What happened?" They all avoid looking at me "Rachel didn't seem too mad and neither did Brittany"

"We came to offer background protection" I look over at Mack who sighs "We heard what was being said about you girls yesterday"

"You songbird doesn't like to just listen" Sheila shakes her head with a smile "She's everything you said she was...big spitfire"

"So what happened?" The girls all look at each other "Someone tell me! I could lose a girlfriend her this!"

"We told them but they didn't wanna believe" Shiela pulls out a paper and hands it to me "That's everything that was said that we don't wanna repeat"

I look at the paper and feel sick. There's so many wrong things on this paper. So many things Rachel shouldn't see right now. I look up at them and Sheila nods.

"Wanna know the name?" I nod and she smirks "You'll love it..."

-Time skip-Santana pov-

"San have you seen Quinn yet?" I look over at Rachel who's beside Brittany "We are getting closer to the end of the day"

"I know" I put my stuff in my locker and look at them again "Maybe it's from what I said earlier"

"But you plan on apologizing right?" I look away and Rachel sighs "You love her San! It's early but I can tell you do"

"I'll apologize in glee" I look back to see her and Brittany smiling "You two make me soft"

"San!" I look up to see Noah running to me "Quinn is trying to kill Jacob!"

"What?!" I take off after him and I hear the girls behind me "Rachel you stay back when we get there!"

We run over and see Quinn being held back by Dave and the Skanks while a bloody Jacob is swaying. I look at Quinn and see a fire I've never seen. I walk over and step in her line of sight.

"What's going on?" She looks at me aggressively so I cup her face and stroke my thumbs across it "Luce what happened?"

"Paper" I look at her confused "Right pocket"

I reach in and pull out a paper. I open it and read through what's on it. I start seeing red and turn toward Jacob. I take slow steps toward him.

"So" He looks up at me with a plea for mercy in his eyes "You think my pregnant girlfriend is a good for nothing, useless, prudish cunt that should be passed around the school huh? You think she should get an abortion and give you a shot or just kill herself after huh? I'm seeing red"

"Breathe!" I look over at Rachel "We lost one member we can't loser another!"

I look back at Jacob "You just got lucky" I look back at Quinn "You're gonna be getting a 10 day suspension at the most if you hit him one more time"

The people holding Quinn let her go and Quinn quickly delivers one last punch. Or so she tried. As the fist goes to connect it's stopped. The crowd disperse quickly.

"So" We all look at Shelby "Why don't we all go to the Principal and explain?"

I gulp and look at Quinn. We are so fucked.

-Time skip-Quinn pov-

"Alright" Figgins puts down the paper "Jacob will be suspended for five days while Quinn will be for two weeks"

"Two weeks?!" I look over at Shelby for help "I was standing up!"

"You beat a kid up" Shelby sighs "You'll be removed from sectionals as well"

"B-b-but" I look at Figgins "She can't do that can she?"

"She's the leader of your club" He shrugs "He can do what he wants"

"I also wanna address this right now" Shelby looks at me and then Santana "We are turning in your Cheerio uniforms"

"What?!" Santana jumps out of the chair she was in "You can't do that! We earned these!"

"And you beat a kid and let your girlfriend go for another shot cause you weren't going to" Shelby stands up "This wasn't my choice to make either"

Shelby walks out and I look through the glass. Shelby puts a hand on my moms shoulder before walking away. She walks away from the office window and Figgins releases us. Outside the door is a bag with my name on it and one for San too.

"That was you mom wasn't it?" I nod "Why would she want us to leave Cheerios?"

"It's the last thing that my dad pushed me toward" I pick up the bag and open it. Inside is a pair of blue jeans, sneakers, and my old Cat shirt "She knows this isn't what I want"

"But how can she kick me out?" I don't look at her until Santana makes me "What?"

"Your parents sent her your guardianship papers" Santana's face drops and so does her hand "My mom signed the other day and was gonna tell you tonight"

"But looks like I'm not" We both jump and turn to Look at my mom "I wasn't trying to lie or keep it a secret Santana...I was trying to find a way not to hurt you"

"Thanks Jude" Santana picks up her bag and starts walking away "I'm gonna go get changed and hand in my uniform"

"I should go after her" I get stopped by a hand on my shoulder "What mom?"

"You can be the teacher you've always wanted to be now" She smiles and hands over my glasses "I always liked this real version of you better"

"Don't go to far" Mom raises a confused eyebrow "I need a ride home"

"I'll be in the lot" She pulls me into a tight hug "I'm not happy but I'm also not upset you stood up for your girl"

"Thanks mom" I pull back "I need to go find my other girl right now"

She nods and lets me go. I quickly follow after Santana to the locker room. We walk in and sigh together. For me it's great to finally be getting out of this place. For Santana though...this was the place she knew she had protection and safety.

"How are we protecting the girls now?" I look over at her and she finally looks at me "We have lost everything to be able to protect them and now I'm gonna be alone here for two weeks"

"It'll be fine" I put a hand on her shoulder and give her a genuine smile "We will all be fine"

She nods and we go to our lockers. We unlock them and start pulling our stuff out. We get all of our personal belongs out and I grab Santana's bag. We get changed and then walk to Sues office. When we walk in her head is immediately up.

"What are you three doing with uniforms in hand?" I look at sue confused "Behind you"

I turn and see Brittany "Britt?" She smiles at me "Why are you turning in your uniform?"

"Cause we joined to be together" Brittany holds out her uniform toward Sue "I just wanna be with you all"

"Again I ask" I turn my back at Sue "Why are you handing it in?"

"I never wanted this" I take a deep breath and speak again "I want to be a teacher not a cheerleader that leads to cheerleading in college and then nothing after! I want a life"

"Weak" Sue looks over at Santana "Why are you leaving?"

"Because I can" Santana grabs my uniform and Brittanys before placing all three on sues desk "I'm not scared of you or anybody else...I'm strong without this uniform"

"You're all making a mistake!" Sue stands up angry "You all will pay!"

"It wasn't Shelby that decided this" Sue looks at me still angry but with a confused expression as well "It was my mom that started it"

Sue looks flabbergasted and I take this time to walk away. I give Santana a quick hug and then one to Brittany. I walk away and head straight to moms car. She doesn't ask anything as we pull out of the lot.

I put on my glasses and slide my contact case into my bag. Here's to the start of something new. Here's to me being me and free.

Here's to Lucy Quinn Fabray.
