He found himself sobbing. He pulled his legs to his chest, wrapping his arms around them. He buried his head in his knees. After a few minutes, or however long he sat there crying, he stood up and wiped his eyes. He swayed on his feet until he found his balance. I have to figure out where I am. He thought as he started to walk in the direction of the road he could see in the distance.

It took him forever but he finally reached the little road. It wasn't busy at all. He didn't see any cars coming or going. What he did see was an abandoned little gas station. He smiled, content with his luck. Once he got inside the little store attached to the station he started rummaging through the items, seeing what he could use. He found a few bottles of water and put them on the counter of the store. He kept going and found some power bars left on the shelf. He grunted and picked them up checking the date. They weren't expired so picked them up and carried them to the counter.

Sam opened one of the bottles and sipped it slowly so he wouldn't get sick. Then he went behind the counter and looked in the cash register. All that was left were a few dollars worth of quarters. He grabbed the quarters and ran to the pay phone outside. He looked in the telephone book to see that he was in Shindler, South Dakota. Sam was filled with relief, he was only a few hours from Sioux Falls. Sam took a deep breath and dialed Bobby's number. It rang a few times and then the line picked up on the other end.

"Singer Salvage, what can I do for ya?" Sam gasped at hearing Bobby's gruff voice sound on the other end. "If this is another one of those prank calls, I swear I'll…" Bobby couldn't finish the sentence because Sam interrupted him, "Bobby it's me." Sam couldn't believe what he heard. Bobby was alive. But I felt his neck snap. I killed him. Sam thought. The other end of the line went silent and Sam thought for a second that Bobby had hung up. "Give me one good reason why a demon or other type of supernatural bastard is trying to be my Sam? You have ten seconds before I hang up this god damn phone and chase your ass to the end of the earth!"

"Bobby look, I know this is crazy and you probably won't believe me but, I got out. You don't have to worry…" Sam paused as the phone went off the hook. Bobby had hung the phone up. Sam sighed and put the payphone back on the latch. "At least he's alive." I'll just have to make my way to his place then. Sam thought. He walked back into the store and shoved the power bars into his pockets. He picked up the water bottle and started to walk.

Bobby hung up the phone before whatever it was that called him could finish what they were saying. He couldn't take it. He couldn't stand to hear a monster use his boy's voice against him. It made him feel stupid to let such a trivial thing upset him so much. He knew that wasn't his Sam, but damn. It hurt like a bitch. I should probably call Dean and give him a heads up, so he doesn't have to go through this. Bobby took out his phone and scrolled through his contacts until he reached Dean's name. He held the phone up to his ear and listened to it ring.

"Bobby?" Dean asked, when he answered the phone. "Dean, I know it's been a while, but I just needed to give you a heads up." Bobby said. "Heads up about what? Is something coming for me?" Dean said, with worry in his voice. "No, nothing like that. It's about your brother. I got a call from a payphone somewhere in Shindler. It sounded like Sam." Bobby rushed it out, wanting to get it all out before Dean could interrupt him.

"What do you mean it sounded like Sam. Sam's gon.. He's not here, so who could've called sounding like him?" Dean said, Bobby could tell he was on edge. "Listen Dean, I know it couldn't have been your brother. I just thought I would give you a heads-up in case the person, or whatever it was tries to call you." Bobby said as he took his cap off and ran his fingers through his salt and pepper hair. There was silence on the other end of the line until Dean finally broke it, "Thanks Bobby, it was nice to hear from you. Call me if you need anything."

The call ended and Bobby put his phone on his desk. Damnit! Why does stuff like this always happen! Just when it was starting to settle too. Bobby thought as he walked to his fridge to get a beer.
