-Chapter 33-'Twas the night before Christmas-

-Maribel pov-

"No one is allowed out back!" Santana and Judy walk past us dressed like eskimos "Just don't do it please!"

"Ok?" Shelby walks into the living room with a tray full of hot cocoa "We were supposed to do a moviethon today though"

"Yeah!" Rachel walks in smiling and holding a tray of cookies "I even made cookies!"

"Don't tell us you forgot" Fran walks in with Emma and now I wanna know where these people are coming from! "Emma and I are even here!"

"Yeah you could be banging your brains out" WHERE DID LUCY AND BETH COME FROM ?! "You ok Maribel?"

"NO!" Everyone looks at me confused "You all pretty much just came from nowhere! You don't find that odd?!"

They all look at each other and shake their heads no. I sigh and grab a cup of Hot cocoa. I need this right now. I'm not going insane I know it.

"What's so important outside?" I look over at the duo as they don't answer Shelbys question "I think someone should come with you two"

"We can do the movies" Santana starts taking off the snow gear "It's fine"

"Alright" Judy follows after her but stops "Last Christmas marathon we had together"

"No judy" I groan and the girls look at me confused "We are not acting out movie scenes non stop!"

"Why don't we ask the pregnant girl?" Judy smirks and looks "Do you wanna act out scenes from the movies?"

"I think we should just watch them" Judy pouts "This is my first Christmas movie marathon! I wanna focus on the movies and the time with the family!"

"Oh alright" Judy sighs and plops down beside me "I'll stay right here and watch the movies with you all!"

"Cause it's such a hard thing to do" I chuckle and Judy glares at a smirking Shelby "You know you love me"

Judy rolls her eyes and leans her head onto Shelbys shoulder. I chuckle and lean onto her. This feels nice. It's the nicest I've felt in a long while.

I just hope Santana and Judy don't end up doing anything stupid later.

-No pov-time skip-

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;

"You sure this is a good idea?" Santana hands just the wood boards "It's dark and snowy out here"

"We can't go back now" Judy sighs and starts cutting the boards to size "The gifts are already gotten and we have to work on getting them set up"

"I guess your right" Santana picks up the extra saw and some boards "I'll work with you then"

The children were nestled all snug in their beds;

While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;

And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,

Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap,

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,

"Shit!" Judy runs over to Santana and see the cut "Is it bad?"

"Not that I can see" Judy sighs and looks at what they've got done "We've gotten barley any of it built"

"We will get it done" Santana sits her saw down "I'll get this cleaned up and be back out"

I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,

Gave a lustre of midday to objects below,

When what to my wondering eyes did appear,

"Santana?" Santana jumps and turns to see Rachel "What's going on? Why do you have bandages out?"

"It's nothing baby" Santana gets up and kisses Rachel "Just go back up to bed"

"You best not be lying to me" Santana doesn't respond and Rachel sighs "Don't get hurt again ok?"

"I'll try my best" Santana gives Rachel another kiss "Good luck"

But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny rein-deer,

With a little old driver so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment he must be St. Nick.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:

"We've hit halfway and the snow is starting to pick up" Judy sighs and looks at Santana "How's the hand?"

"It's better than it was" Santana sighs and picks up some more boards "Let's get this done so we can get some sleep"

"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now Prancer and Vixen!

On, Comet! on, Cupid! on, Donder and Blixen!

To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!

Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

As leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,

When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky;

"The snows coming down harder!" The wind blows past Judy and Santana roughly "We are more then halfway down with the base!"

"Let's get it done!" Judy picks up her hammer and grabs some nails "Let's do this for them!"

So up to the housetop the coursers they flew

With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too—

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof

The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.

As I drew in my head, and was turning around,

Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,

"I don't understand!" Shelby walks around the kitchen with Maribel "She just left the bed!"

"Judy isn't there either?" Shelby and Maribel look up to see Rachel and Lucy "Santana still hasn't come up after her bandage spree earlier"

"There's a blizzard like system moving through" Maribel shakes her head and then her eyes go wide "Oh god out back!"

And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;

A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a pedler just opening his pack.

His eyes—how they twinkled! his dimples, how merry!

His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

"What are you two idiots doing?!" Judy and Santana look up to see a angry Shelby and Lucy "You have w pregnant girl worrying!"

"We need to get this done" Judy frowns and looks at the partially finished back porch "The gifts won't work like I thought without it"

"Judy we don't care about some dumb gifts!" Shelbys sighs and walks cautiously on the porch "We care more about your safety!"

And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow;

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,

And the smoke, it encircled his head like a wreath;

He had a broad face and a little round belly

That shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,

And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;

"This is crazy!" Santana laughs as Lucy helps her up onto the porch "We made a sturdy porch in blizzard like conditions! Imagine what we could do without the conditions!"

"You're crazy!" Lucy laughs along with Santana "I'm dating a crazy chic!"

"Why are you to laughing?" Judy watches them and slowly starts to laugh too "I guess this was crazy huh?"

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,

And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,

And laying his finger aside of his nose,

And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

"I thought the duo was gonna bring them in?" Maribel shrugs at Rachel's question "Let's go check on them"

The two walk to the back door and small smiles fall on their faces. The four girls are outside laughing holding onto each other. This is a beautiful scene of Christmas Eve.

"We should bring the hyenas inside" Rachel nods but doesn't make to move and neither does Maribel "Maybe just a little bit longer to get the craziness out of them"

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight—

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Everyone finally ends up snug in their beds. The moms cuddle together and the girls are as well. Beth is sound asleep in her crib and Fran is hiding Emma near. None of them know that something tomorrow will hit ones worse fear.

But I guess that's another story for another day. I'm not a poet obviously by the way. I'm stuck in rhymes like Shuester should've been arrested for his crimes.

Alright I'm done.
