He sighed as he watched her pace, long raven hair flicking each time she spun on her heels and turned to pace the way she had come. She was tense, their eyes catching every so often, long enough for him to feel everything that coursed through her heart in that moment.

Panic. The call from Felicia only hours before had destroyed the easy relaxation he had hoped to enjoy that morning. He didn't blame the other Omega for that however, it was only natural that they call each other in times of trouble, that was how it had always been. They had never had anyone else to feel safe with before meeting both Hannibal and Will.

"Sera, please stop pacing. I promise you that Hannibal won't hurt her."

She stopped, eyes wide with worry as she wrung her hands. How could she just stop? Her mind was running rings around its self as images of what could have taken place back in Baltimore washed through her mind. If anything, Will was lucky that pacing was all she was doing. She was struggling to fight back the urge to steal his keys, drive to Hannibal's home and beat seven shades of shit out of the man.

It was more her desire not to become Hannibal's next meal that helped her win out over the desire, she really didn't feel eager to become the minced meat in the cannibal's next steak and kidney pie. She grimaced at the thought, she was pretty fond of her kidneys too now that she thought about it.

"That's easier said than done Will. How do I know that Lecter didn't push her off the table himself? or hit her with something to knock her out? How do I know that..."

Sera hadn't realised she was edging closer to the dining table once more, emotions running rampant as the panic for Felicia's safety and anger that Hannibal had any involvement in her fall, her hand falling upon Will's lighter and clutching the object with a hidden malice within her eyes. She didn't know what she'd do with it, the idea that one girl armed with a lighter going up against Hannibal the cannibal seemed more than a little ridiculous. But there was a part of her brain that screamed for pay back, craved fire and the burning of anything that stood in her way.

'One girl and a lighter against a cannibal with more experience in murder than you and Felicia combined?... Are you serious? This is why 'you' don't make the plans. However, if you're really going to do this, I did spot a can of petrol next to the garage door that could make a really nice bonfire... Now that's a BBQ even Lecter could appreciate. Flame grilled cannibal for dinner'

Sera felt a shiver run through her spine at the voice that filled her mind. It sounded so much like her own, yet held a menacing glee at the idea it had put forward, almost like it genuinely wanted, desperately, to commit the act. What the hell was going on with her mind?

'But I suppose, if you think about it, Felicia may take umbrage to that item being on the menu... She was never that fond of BBQ and, although she can't remember, she actually really does love Hannibal... I guess only a psycho can love a psycho'

The giggle that followed those words was a little too jovial, too happy about the whole issue for Sera's liking as she tried to block the voice out. There was something very familiar about her, almost like she was hearing a part of herself that had been torn from her being that had finally found its way home. The question was, did she really want that to come home when it clearly had a fair number of issues to deal with?

Will felt the blood in his veins freeze as he followed the movement of her hand, eyes widening a fraction as the delicate limb landed upon the lighter before moving forward, his own hand clutching her wrist gently and moving it away from the object, successfully drawing her attention and preventing what he feared she may have been thinking. He wasn't quite ready for that aspect of her past to return just yet.

He knew he wasn't one to talk, his own sins thanks to the manipulation of Hannibal quickly racking up and sinking him further into the darkness of his own mind, but Sera was different. He wanted to protect her for as long as possible before the shadow of the Alabama Arsonists returned to darken her life. Sooner or later, she would remember and it would be her choice whether she chose to continue the legacy she had been a part of, or abandon it forever. That was something Will would have to face when the time came and either way, he knew he would always be by her side.

"Because you know Felicia and know better than anyone that, as intelligent as she is, she's got more than her fair share of screws loose and probably fell flat on her face thinking she could pole vault over the dining table"

Her lips twitch slightly at his words, a chuckle escaping before she could attempt to hold it back. How did he do it? This man who couldn't even look her in the eyes yet managed to make her feel more at ease than she had ever felt before. He made her feel happy to simply be with him. She smiled at him, watching how his eyes avoided her own as he returned the simple gesture, his lips lifting into a smile that seemed foreign on his weary face, not quite reaching eyes that had suffered the sights of so many nightmarish scenes, but genuine in the emotion behind it.

Sera felt her heart constrict at the sight, something warm spreading through her as he moved closer towards her and placed his hands gently against her shoulder. It was a smile meant only for her, filled with love and adoration that was still a strange feeling within Will, having always tried to keep others at a distance. But Sera was different from the rest, had stolen his soul from the moment he first laid eyes upon her within the conference room, the young Omega stood alone at the bar as she watched her sister mingle and form alliances with those that would benefit them both, watching as she made first contact with Hannibal and unknowingly sealed the fates of both herself and Sera, the raven haired woman playing her part in the intricate deception that was woven around them with ease and sheer perfection.

"I know it's difficult, but you have to trust me. Just like I would never dream of hurting you, Hannibal would never dream of hurting Felicia. You just have to let them figure their problems out by themselves. They're both eccentric, both scary as hell when angered and appear to be complete polar opposites to anyone who can't see past the human suits they both wear. But they're a lot more alike than people think, so just give Hannibal a chance to prove himself, he loves that knuckleheaded sister of yours... Just like I'll prove my love for you"

She blushed as he placed a small kiss against her forehead, looking up at him with eyes wide in shock at the simple action. She should have pushed him away, told him to back off and remind him that she had no memory of the supposed relationship they had once shared, but she couldn't. The sensation of his lips against her felt wonderful, like the most natural thing in the world as she reached up to place a tender hand against his own cheek.

"I have no memories of you or the life you say is mine but, call me mad for saying it, I do trust you Will. And even if this whole thing is just a dream, then I hope it lasts just a little longer... Because I think I may be falling for you"

The gentle smile that had graced Will's lips slowly began to grow, becoming a wide grin as his constantly darting eyes shone with joy at her words before settling upon the cupids bow curve of her lips. Sera couldn't quite describe the feeling that rushed through her at the simple sight of his happiness, only that her heart wanted to burst from her chest as she found herself closing the gap between them, the swell of her breasts pressing against his chest.

She felt trapped within this moment of weightless rapture, nothing in the world seeming more perfect than the man before her in that moment. She didn't know why she felt this way or what had happened to make her feel this way, all she really knew was that it seemed like the most natural thing in the world as she raised herself on her toes slightly and placed her lips gently against his, her breath hitching with relief as his own lips began to move against hers.

She felt a shiver run through her body, arousal beginning to stir within as his hands trailed carefully down to her waist, pulling her towards him and closing what little remained of the gap between their bodies before continuing his exploration, fingers remembering every inch of her as they worshipped the only woman who had ever seen him for more than his empathy.

They pulled apart for air, hearts racing in time as they leaned in to continue their shared passion only to halt as Will's cell phone began to ring once more from its position on the kitchen table. A blush rose in Sera's cheeks as she seemed to realise her actions, noticing the vague outline of a certain hardened organ within Will's jeans as he gave a mixed groan of annoyance and embarrassment before moving to answer the call, a small frown upon his lips as he checked the caller ID. Why was Katz calling him? He gave a measured sigh, allowing the arousal that had been growing within him at Sera's touch to be quelled before answering the call, his Alpha nature gnashing it's teeth in irritation at being interrupted from being with his beloved mate but his rational mind grateful for the disturbance. It wouldn't be right to rush Sera into something like that so soon after leaving the hospital.

"Hey Bev. Can I help you?"

"Will, how's things going? Me and the lab boys heard that Sera and Felicia finally woke up!"

Will couldn't help the slight chuckle that passed his lips at the excitement in Beverly's voice. Sera had always had quite a good friendship going with Katz, Price and Zeller, her cheerful personality and caring nature winning them over from the day that he had introduced her to the three. They were fond of Felicia as well but not in the same way, the blonds blunt way of speaking and erratic behaviour having sealed their affections just as well.

"Yeah, she's back home and recovering slowly... But I doubt you just called to get a heads up on Sera's condition, you'd have just ambushed my house if that was the case. What's your real motive?"

Sera furrowed her brows as she watched Will talk into the phone, She knew who he was talking too but couldn't quite hear what Katz was saying, confused as hell as to why the conversation had stated with her before feeling concern as Will's face became a shade paler as he sent a worried glance towards Sera.

"I'll be at the lab as soon as possible"

Will hung up with shaking hands. This wasn't good, this was happening far too soon for his liking as Beverly's words rang through his mind: Sorry Will, you know I hate interrupting your days off and I really would like to catch up with Sera and see how she's doing... But we've got a fresh one in and need you to come check it out as soon as you can. We think it's them again, the Alabama Arsonists.

He sighed, swiping a weary hand across his face before collecting his and Sera's coats from the stand by the door. It couldn't have been the actual arsonists, one of them was stood right in from of him, but that did not rule out the possibility of the other.

"Sorry about this Sera, but the lab needs me in so we're going to have to head in... You don't mind do you?"

Sera shrugged and gave a slight smile. She didn't mind in the slightest as long as she got to tag along and go into the lab, she'd always had a morbid fascination for forensic science and 'the morgue life' as she liked to call it. It was what she had been studying to do whilst in medical school. Sadly it seemed that the coma she found herself in had put such motions to a stand still for the time being.

Beverly groaned as she pushed the pictures and other evidence around the table, the morgue eerily quiet as both Price and Zeller rested their heads in their hands. They couldn't make any sense of it all. The Alabama Arsonists had been out of action for nearly seven months so why had they suddenly reappeared now?

Beverly wanted to scoff at the confidence they had all felt recently, the belief that these murderers had finally been taken off the FBI's list of concerns. They should have known better really, the Chesapeake Ripper was enough to teach them that no amount of time truly meant a murderer was no longer a threat.

But there was something not quite right about the evidence before her, something that gnawed at her insides and screamed to be noticed. A missing piece in the puzzle that could prove whether or not it was really the Arsonists or just a really good copy-cat. Her attention was drawn up towards the door as it was swung open, a smile breaking through the stress upon her face at the sight of Will and, more importantly to the Beta, Sera.

Sera gave a startled cry as Beverly came towards her, pulling her into a tight embrace before being passed between Zeller and Price, her senses picking up the scent of beta from both men as they assessed her with affectionate smiles upon their faces.

"Good to see you again sweetheart"

""Will had better be taking good care of you, I'll knock his Alpha block off otherwise"

"I second that notion"

Sera felt overwhelmed as all three tried to speak to her at once, flicking a confused glance towards Will as he glared at Katz and Zeller. Of course she knew who they were, but it was only in the same way both she and Felicia had known who Will and Hannibal were, the question was how the hell did they know who she was? She scratched her head in embarrassment, feeling guilty for some reason for not knowing what possible connection she could have had with any of these people, sending a pleading glance towards Will before the curly haired Alpha finally stopped his glaring and jumped to her aide.

"Give her some space guys, she's still recovering after the coma. And sorry to break it to you all like this, but Sera doesn't really remember much about her life. The hospital said that she has memory loss but that it should face and return to normal eventually"

The guilt grew in Sera's heart at the saddened looks within the three Beta's eyes. Why should she feel guilty for not remembering them? They were only character's from a show that her imagination had conjured into her subconscious reality. But then why did she feel like she'd known them more personally, memories of drunken nights flashing through her memory but not staying long enough for her to pinpoint the origin off.

"It's all right, the memories will come back eventually. Sorry you had to remember Zeller's ugly mug though"

Sera had to hide her laughter behind her hand as Zeller made an indignant noise and smacked Price across the head for his cheek, Katz simply rolling her eyes at their behaviour before turning to Will.

"Anyway, we got you to come in for a reason other than seeing Sera again and watching these two make clowns of themselves. Get this done as quick as possible so you can both go back to whatever you were doing"

A fresh blush crept its way up Sera's face at the Beta's words, mind supplying her with the image of herself and Will kissing, his hands wondering along her body. If Beverly hadn't called when she had, Sera could clearly imagine what she and Will would have been doing at that moment in time. As fond as she was beginning to feel about Will, she thought it may have been a bit too soon to be doing the bed sheet tango with the man.

She followed Will as he stepped closer towards the evidence table, standing by his side as she let her eyes fall over the photos that littered the surface. The images were grotesque, a burnt out shall of a house that might once have been quite quaint looking. Something within Sera hissed at the photos, an anger washing through her as she moved her gaze to the imagine of a charred corpse, no features left visible to help identify whether the victim was male or female, only the teeth left to attempt a dental match upon. But it was not anger for the victim that coursed through her, or even pity for the unfortunate event that had lead to his or her fate.

No. It was anger that something had been copied. Something that should not have been sullied by the hands of others.

'This was our design! Mine and Felicia's! What bastard has sullied our work?!'

She bit back the snarl that was not her own, feeling the sound fight against her throat as Will continued to look over the evidence, forcing that sinister presence from her mind once more as she continued to look over the photos. Something was missing, a vital clue that seemed to jump out completely to Sera's eye. And Will's also as he looked back at Beverly.

"Do we know who the victim is?"

"Marco Jenson. A 34 year old Alpha with a reputation for being a bit happy with his fists when dealing with his Omega mate. The Omega in question, Sarah Jenson, was out for the evening at her mother's, a chance to see her brother also, the alibi is confirmed by both the mother and the brother"

Will nodded, sending a quick look towards Sera before turning back towards the lab crew. He'd have to speak to Hannibal, make sure that the other Alpha had not had anything to do with this and, if he had, berating him for not being more precise with his details.

"This isn't the real Alabama Arsonist's work. It's a damn good copy, the victim profile is perfect, mature Alpha with a record for domestic abuse against their Omega mate, waiting until the Omega is at a safe distance with a perfect Alibi to eradicate any suspicion upon them before murdering the Alpha... Tell me, did they use the same methods as the actual arsonist murders?"

"No, we don't believe so. We're getting samples analysed for traces of liquid nitrogen within the system but we doubt we'll find anything so we're assuming that the victim wasn't injected before being burnt, meaning he may have been alive or unconscious when it all happened"

Will nodded, a sense of relief passing through him at the information as he kept his face completely straight and unreadable. At least he could be certain now that it was definitely not the real murderers. Sera he had never doubted, knowing that she had been at home all night. Felicia had been the worry point, he knew nothing about how much she had recalled, but this was confirmation that she had not remembered enough to commit the crime.

"It's definitely not them then, plus we'll probably find a scent lingering to tell us the gender of the copycat. The Alabama Arsonists never leave a trail or any sort, there's too much evidence here and mistakes left right and centre, including the mis..."

"The missing poem"

All eyes fell on Sera as she continued to look at the contents of the table, her mind drinking in all the information and providing her with the answer that had been bugging her, the missing piece to the puzzle that she was seeing.

"Don't ask me how I know, I feel like I've worked on this before at some point... Maybe with Will or in here"

"You were helping at one point, a case study for your final exam in criminology and forensics... I can't believe that we missed the poem of all things"

Sera cocked her head to the side before letting the words flow from her lips, missing the worried gleam in Will's eyes as she picked up the photo of Marco Jenson's corpse.

"We are sugar,

We are spice,

We are everywhere,

Fire and ice.

Ice to freeze the blood in your veins,

Fire to destroy and leave no remains"

I hope you all enjoyed the latest addition to 'Our Macabre Heaven' and will let me know what you thought. What is the story behind the Alabama Arsonists? What drives them to commit the crimes they do? The answers shall be revealed as more memories are uncovered and the past of two Omega's are revealed.

The next chapter will be back with Felicia and Hannibal as we see what effects caffeine withdrawal and an approaching heat can have upon the, usually, well organised Lecter house.
